Abstract

Methylene blue is one of the heterocyclic synthetic dyes used intextile industry, but has a negative impact on water quality and the surrounding environment. This study aims to degrade methylene blue using the photocatalytic method. The catalyst used for degradation is nano ZnO doped Cu 10%. In this study, the degradation process applies sunlight using a hexagonal mobile reactor and The light intesity is a measured using a lightmeter. The degradation process was carried out with variation of stirring at 1500 rpm and without stirring at 1,2,3, and 4 hours. The degradastion results were measured using UV-Vis spectrophotometry to see adsorption before and after degradation. Results of this study obtained the degradation using stirring has a highter percentage of degradation than without stirring. The percentage maximum of degradation obtained in study was  64,4% with a stirring speed of 1500 rpm for 4 hours irradiation. In this study showed the effect of stirring on methylene blue degradation using a hexagonal mobile reactor.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengembangkan konten pembelajaran e-learing menggunakan aplikasi moodle mata pelajaran kimia materi larutan elektrolit dan non elektrolit. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Research and Development (R&D). Model penelitian yang digunakan adalah model 4-D dengan tahap define, design,develop dan disseminate. Tahap penelitian ini hanya terbatas hingga tahap develop (hanya validasi). Uji praktikalitas tidak bisa dilakukan karena pandemi Covid-19. Jumlah validator untuk penelitian ini adalah 7 validator. Hasil dari angket validasi akan dianalisis menggunakan formula kappa Cohen. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa rata-rata momen kappa validitas konten adalah 0,77 dan validitas konstruk 0,84 dengan kategori kevalidan tinggi dan sangat tinggi.

Abstract

This research was conducted to develop an e-learning platform using Moodle Application ofacid based topic. This is research and Development (R&D). The Development model used is a 4-D which consist of stage define, design, develop, and disseminate. This research is limited to the stage of development, namely the validity. The E-learning was Validated by 7validators. Data from validity the result were analized using the Aikens'V formula. Based onthe result of the study, it was found that the average Aikens’V of content validity test was0,84 with a category valid and the average Aikens’V of construct validity was 0,81 with acategory valid. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengembangkan konten pembelajaran e-learning berbasis aplikasi moodle pada materi asam basa. Penelitian ini dibatasi pada tahap pengembangan yaitu penentuan validitas. Validitas dilakukan oleh 7 validator. Data diambil dari angket validitas lalu dianalisis menggunakan rumus formula Aikens’V. Berdasarkan hasil uji validitas konten menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata formula Aikens’V adalah 0,84 dengan kategori valid dan hasil validitas konstruk dengan rata-rata formula Aikens’V adalah 0,81 dengan kategori valid.

Abstract

Currently the 2013 curriculum applies scientific approach in learning activities to develop self-potential by sharpening the mindset of students to be more active and creative. To realize these goals, learning methods and media must be carefully selected. This research will produce an e-module based on a scientific approach with probing and prompting questions for hydrocarbon material. The probing and prompting questions are used to familiarize students with answering questions so that the development of students' thinking patterns can be maximized. Research & Development (R & D) is a type of research that is used with 4-D as a development model.  The 4-D stages include: define, design, develop and disseminate. The disseminate stage was not carried out due to time and cost limitations. The research was only carried out until the develop stage, namely the validity and practicality test. Validity and practicality sheets were used as data collection instruments. The e-module validation was carried out by 5 validators, while the practicality of the e-module was carried out by 3 chemistry teachers and 30 students of SMAN 12 Padang. The research data processing used the Kappa Cohen formula. The e-module validity values obtained were 0.87 and the practicality values by teachers and students were 0.88 and 0.83.  Based on these three values, the hydrocarbon e-module based on a scientific approach with probing and prompting questions is declared valid and practically used in the learning process. Saat ini kurikulum 2013 menerapkan tahapan saintifik dalam kegiatan pembelajaran  untuk mengembangkan potensi diri dengan mengasah pola pikir siswa menjadi lebih aktif dan kreatif. Untuk mewujudkan tujuan tersebut, metode dan media pembelajaran harus dipilih dengan cermat. Penelitian ini akan menghasilkan e-modul berbasis pendekatan saintifik dengan pertanyaan probing dan prompting untuk materi hidrokarbon. Pertanyaan probing dan prompting digunakan untuk membiasakan siswa dalam menjawab pertanyaan sehingga pengembangan pola pikir siswa dapat dioptimalkan. Research & development (R & D) merupakan jenis penelitian yang digunakan dengan 4-D sebagai model pengembangannya. Tahapan 4-D meliputi: define, design, develop dan disseminate. Tahap disseminate tidak dilakukan karena keterbatasan waktu dan biaya. Penelitian hanya dilakukan sampai tahap develop, yaitu uji validitas dan praktikalitas. Lembar validitas dan praktikalitas digunakan sebagai instrumen pengumpulan data. Validasi e-modul dilakukan oleh 5 orang validator, sedangkan praktikalitas e-modul dilakukan oleh 3 orang guru kimia dan 30 orang siswa SMAN 12 Padang. Pengolahan data penelitian menggunakan formula Kappa Cohen. Nilai validitas e-modul yang didapatkan sebesar 0,87 dan nilai praktikalitas oleh guru dan siswa sebesar 0,88 dan 0,83. Berdasarkan ketiga nilai tersebut, maka e-modul hidrokarbon berbasis pendekatan saintifik dengan pertanyaan probing dan prompting dinyatakan valid dan praktis digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

This research to develop E-Content based on discovery learning on chemical bonding material for class X SMA/MA. This type of research and development (R&D) using the ADDIE model consists of 5 stages namely analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. E-Content is used to help students study remotely due to the Covid-19 pandemic. E-Content also provides learning videos, PPT, books to improve stusent learning activities. E-Content in it there are quiz questions and evaluation questions that can measure studens ability to understand chemical bonding material. The data analysis technique used is in the form of validity and practicality sheets. The content validity test was carried out by 3 chemistry lecturers and 3 chemisrty teachers, while the media validity was carried out by 3 lecturers in the field of technology while the practicality test was carried out by 20 students of class X. The results of the analysis of the content validity sheet, media, practicality by students successively the average score of V was 0.82, 0.91 and 0.84. The data obtained indicate that the E-Content on chemical bonding material is valid and practical.

Abstract

This study aims to compare the effectiveness of plate variations 4//4 and 5//5 Al/Cu on the performance of hydrogen gas generators. The method used is electrolysis using electrolytes H2O and CH3COONa. The result obtained is that the 4/4 Al/Cu electrode plate variation is more effective in producing hydrogen gas during electrolysis than the 5/5 al/cu electrode plate variation. The 4/4 plate variation produces hydrogen gas with 8 ml and 102 ml of H2O and CH3COONa electrolytes, respectively. The use of electrolytes in the form of salt and variations of the electrode plates during the electrolysis process affect the yield of hydrogen gas produced using a hydrogen generator.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the optimum condition of hydrogen gas produced through the electrolysis process of dry cell generators using RSM progran. To produce hydrogen gas is done through the method of water electrolysis by decomposing the molecule H2O into hydrogen gas and oxygen gas with the help of direct electric current. Hydrogen gas productivity by electrolysis method applied to DC generators using 4/4 plate electodes (Cu/Al) as cathodes and NaNO3 solutions as electrolytes. The current and voltage used in this electrolysis process is 0.6 ampere and 2 volts for 1 hour. The concentration of hydrogen gas produced is determined using the MQ-8 sensor. The optimum condition of hydrogen gas concentration obtained is at NaNO 31 M concentration and 60 minutes with hydrogen concentration produced as much as 143.393 ppm. The verification result value for hydrogen gas concentration is 144 ppm, so the program's recommended solution is good enough.

Abstract

Dalam rangka memenuhi tuntutan revolusi industri 4.0, diperlukan pendekatan pembelajaran abad ke-21 yang telah dimodifikasi dari sistem tradisional ke sistem digital yang lebih canggih. Salah satu solusi pembelajaran yang dapat digunakan pada saat ini dan era revolusi industri 4.0 adalah Blended Learning. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi sistem pembelajaran flipped classroom berbasis inkuiri terbimbing pada materi Hidrokarbon untuk kelas XI SMA/MA. Penelitian ini menggunakan alat penelitian berupa angket validitas dan angket praktikalitas. Instrumen tersebut akan diberikan kepada dosen Jurusan Kimia FMIPA UNP dan guru kimia di SMA Negeri 05 Padang, serta peserta didik khususnya kelas XI IPA sesuai dengan proporsi masing-masing. Penelitian ini dilakukan sesuai dengan tahapan pengembangan model Plomp. Tahap awal adalah penelitian pendahuluan, sedangkan tahap berikutnya adalah fase pengembangan atau pembuatan prototype. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem pembelajaran flipped classroom berbasis inkuiri terbimbing pada materi Hidrokarbon yang dikembangkan telah terbukti valid, dan tingkat praktikalitasnya termasuk dalam kategori sangat praktis.

Abstract

The module is one of the teaching materials that is arranged as a whole and systematically. Modules based on learning models can change learning patterns from teacher center to student center. One of the learning models developed specifically for subject matter in the field of science is 5E instructional. The 5E Instructional Model consists of 5 stages namely engagement, exploration, explanation, elaboration and evaluation. The purpose of this study was to develop an instructional module based on 5E chemical laws to improve the process skills of science students. The type of research conducted is research & development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model. The results obtained for the validity of the construct and content were 0.89 and 0.91 with the valid category. Based on the results of the teacher and student response questionnaires, an average practicality score of 86.96% and 86.10% was obtained in the very practical category. The results of the effectiveness test conducted in the experimental and control classes showed that the N-gain value for the experimental class was higher than the control class, namely 0.84 and 0.79. Based on the results of the t-test on student learning outcomes, it was found that tt < th means that the learning outcomes of classes using the 5E instructional module were significantly higher compared to classes that did not use the 5E instructional module. Therefore, it can be said that the 5E-based basic chemistry law module is valid, practical, and effective. The effectiveness of the developed module is seen from the learning outcomes of students and science process skills, so that this module can already be used in the learning process.

Abstract

The metal ion Cr(VI) is a very toxic substance with high solubility so that it can cause pollution to the environment. If the concentration of metal ions Cr(VI) exceeds the limit of 0.5 mg/L can damage ecosystems, the environment, poison living organisms and humans, then a method is needed to overcome the pollution caused by chromium waste. Biosorption is an effective and efficient method. The purpose of this study was to determine the optimum conditions for the absorption and absorption capacity of Cr(VI) metal ions. metal ion Cr(VI) with dihenylcarbazide and H2SO4 will form a purple complex reaction. The maximum wavelength of Cr(VI) ion absorption was obtained at 543 nm. These results obtained optimum absorption conditions at an adsorbent mass of 0.6 grams with an absorption capacity of 12.7506 mg/g.
