Abstract

Diversification and fortification are efforts that can be made in increasing the value of food quality in terms of increasing product varieties and adding product nutritional value through the addition of food ingredients, one example of this product is fish or shrimp. The purpose of this service is to provide training on CPPB-IRT, technology transfer for mini pastel product processing, labeling, mini pastel training SOPs, product packaging and label design, and website creation, Facebook, Instagram (information and promotions) as well as making fish/shrimp flavours on mini pastels. The method of implementation that would be carried out in this activity was in the form of education, with the method of lectures, discussions, demonstrations and evaluation of product processing/manufacturing techniques for mini pastel businesses. Targets and outcomes to be achieved from community service activities, namely mini pastel products sold to the market must meet product specifications in accordance with SNI 7388: 2009. Packaging and labeling were in accordance with food packaging standardization PP No. 69 of 1999, standard operating procedures for guarantees quality of mini pastels. Based on the results obtained, the responses from the owners and employees of the mini pastel business group were quite enthusiastic in participating in the counseling activities.abtract in bahasaDiversifikasi dan fortifikasi merupakan upaya yang dapat dilakukan dalam meningkatkan nilai mutu pangan dalam hal peningkatan varietas produk dan penambahan nilai gizi produk melalui penambahan bahan pangan, salah satu contoh produk ini adalah ikan atau udang. Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah memberikan pelatihan CPPB-IRT, alih teknologi pengolahan produk mini pastel, pelabelan, SOP pelatihan mini pastel, desain kemasan dan label produk, dan pembuatan website, facebook, instagram (informasi dan promosi) serta membuat rasa ikan/udang di mini pastel. Metode pelaksanaan yang akan dilakukan dalam kegiatan ini berupa edukasi, dengan metode ceramah, diskusi, demonstrasi dan evaluasi teknik pengolahan/pembuatan produk untuk usaha mini pastel. Sasaran dan hasil yang ingin dicapai dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yaitu produk mini pastel yang dijual ke pasaran harus memenuhi spesifikasi produk sesuai dengan SNI 7388 : 2009. Pengemasan dan pelabelan sudah sesuai dengan standarisasi kemasan pangan PP No. 69 Tahun 1999, standar operasional prosedur untuk menjamin kualitas mini pastel. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh, respon dari pemilik dan karyawan cukup antusias mengikuti kegiatan penyuluhan.

Abstract

Penelitian pengembangan bertujuan untuk menghasilkan E-LKPD (elektronik-lembar kerja peserta didik) berbasis SIMAS ERIC (skimming, mind mapping, questioning, exploring, writing, communicating) menggunakan web sway office pada pokok bahasan asam basa kelas XI SMA/MA Sederajat yang valid. Penellitian research and development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan 4-D merupakan jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam pengembangan E-LKPD ini. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan berupa lembar validasi yang diberikan kepada 3 orang validator  (2 validator ahli materi dan 1 validator ahli media), lembar respons pengguna kepada 3 orang guru mata pelajaran kimia, dan 20 orang peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menjelaskan bahwa E-LKPD  berbasis simas eric menggunakan web sway office yang dikembangkan telah dinyatakan valid menurut 2 validator materi dan 1 validator media berdasarkan kelayakan isi, karakteristik simas eric, bahasa, penyajian, tampilan, dan pemanfaatan software dengan skor rata-rata 95,82%. Uji coba satu-satu dilakukan pada 3 peserta didik dengan kemampuan berbeda untuk mendapatkan komentar yang digunakan sebagai perbaikan pada E-LKPD. Hasil uji respon pengguna untuk 2 guru dan 20 peserta didik dikategorikan ”sangat baik” dengan skor masing-masing 95,83% dan 84,87%. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa E-LKPD berbasis simas eric menggunakan web sway office pada pokok bahasan asam basa dapat digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Asthma is a chronic inflammatory disease that is usually characterized by airway inflammation. One of the plants that has been used for a long time to treat asthma is the root of Clerodendrum serratum. This study aimed to determine the potential of the active compound of senggugu root as an anti-asthma which was carried out in silico including prediction of molecular docking, physicochemical properties, and prediction of toxicity. Molecular docking prediction uses PLANTS, while physicochemical properties and toxicity uses the ProTox and pkCSM websites. Molecular docking results showed that the compounds apigenin-7-glucoside, β-Dihydrofucosterol, icosahydropicenic acid, D-mannitol, and queretaroic acid had better affinity than theophylline as the reference compound. Based on lipinski's role of five analysis, from the seven active compounds, there is apigenin-7-glucoside was not meet the requirements for lipinski's role of five but can still qualify for use as new drug compounds by increasing their permeability. The compound β-Dihydrofucosterol is the best candidate, because β-Dihydrofucosterol shows good parameters of absorption, distribution, metabolism and excretion. For prediction of β-Dihydrofucosterol toxicity is in class IV which is still safer than the comparator drug theophylline. The β-Dihydrofucosterol compound is also predicted not to have mutagenic, hepatotoxic, or sensitive effects for the skin. Keywords: asthma, Clerodendrum serratum, in silico, molecular docking

Abstract

Dissolution of Curcumin Microencapsulation Coated by Chitosan-Alginate-Glutaraldehide. In vitro dissolution of curcumin coated by chitosan-alginate gel in its optimum condition was studied. The maceration process using 17.08% ethanol yields and the content of the curcumin in the extract detected by visible spectrophotometry λ 430 nm is found to be 10.30 %. Its optimum condition was obtained using response surface method at concentrations ratio of alginate 0.62% (b/v) and glutaraldehide 4.63% (v/v) , respectively, where the chitosan concentration was fixed (1.75% [b/v]). The dissolution assay was done at 37 o C, at 100 rpm of stirring rate in 8 hours. Aliquots were taken at 15, 30, 45, 60, 90, 120, 150, 180, 240, 300, 360, 420, 480 minutes. Absorbance of the Aliquots was measured at λ 430 nm. The curcumin released has the best linear correlation to the first order reaction with released constant, k = 2.24 10-3 minute-1 while it’s half live is t1/2 = 5.16 hours. Release curcumin was determined mainly by diffusion mechanism. Compared to the result based on Fick model, the one of Higuchi model is better in agreement in reproducing the released data.

Abstract

Fever or pyrexia is a symptom of an illness. Disease infections such as dengue fever, typhus, malaria, liver inflammation, and other infectious diseases are examples of diseases that often cause fever symptoms. To reduce this negative impact means that fever needs to be treated with antipyretics. This study was aimed to determine the antipyretic effectiveness of a combination of papaya and leaf extracts of pare. A total of 15 healthy male mice (Mus musculus) of the ddY strain were 2-3 months old with a weight of 20-30 g were used in this study. Treatment in five groups is group I; ibuprofen 400 mg, group II; Carboxymethyl Cellulosa or CMC-Na 1%, group III (100:100) mg/kg BW, group dose IV (50:150) mg/kg BW, and group dose V (150:50) mg/kg BW, induced fever using the diptheria, pertussis, tetanus (DPT) vaccine with a volume of 0.1 cc (IP) and carried out three repetitions. Observations were made by measuring the rectal temperature of mice using a digital thermometer before DPT vaccine injection or average temperature, 0 minutes (after DPT vaccine injection), 30, 60, 90, and 120 minutes after administering test materials. The combination of papaya leaves and pare leaves can reduce the body temperature of mice. The dose (150:50) mg/kg BW provides the reduction in weight loss body temperature of mice; however, it was not significantly different from ibuprofen.

Abstract

Jamu gendong kunyit asam adalah ramuan tradisional terbuat dari kunyit (Curcumae domestica Val.) dan buah asam Jawa (Tamarindus indica L.) produksi rumahan yang dikemas di dalam botol-botol dan disusun di dalam sebuah bakul yang digendong oleh penjual. Jamu gendong sangat diminati oleh masyarakat Indonesia karena diyakini berkhasiat baik bagi kesehatan. Kecamatan Pancoran Mas, Depok, Jawa Barat merupakan salah satu wilayah yang banyak ditemukan produsen jamu gendong. Status produksi jamu gendong tidak wajib memiliki izin edar. Hal ini menyebabkan aspek higiene pada proses produksi kurang menjadi perhatian oleh produsen sehingga jamu gendong berpotensi tercemar mikrob. Oleh karena itu, tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji cemaran mikrob pada jamu gendong kunyit asam. Uji cemaran mikrob yang dilakukan meliputi Angka Lempeng Total (ALT) bakteri, Angka Kapang Khamir (AKK), dan deteksi keberadaan bakteri enterik. Pengujian dilakukan terhadap lima sampel jamu gendong kunyit asam yang berasal dari lima produsen berbeda dengan lingkungan tempat tinggal berbeda (P1, P2, P3, P4, dan P5) dan satu sampel yang dibuat sendiri oleh peneliti (P0) sebagai pembanding. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa lima sampel yaitu P1, P2, P3, P4, dan P5 telah tercemar oleh mikrob serta terdeteksi positif tercemar bakteri enterik. Sampel P0 tidak ditemukan cemaran mikrob karena proses produksi hingga pengemasan dilakukan secara aseptis.

Abstract

Xanthone Rich Fraction (XRF) derived from mangosteen rind (G. mangostana L.) contains α-mangostin possessed antioxidant property. It may be used to prevent aging (anti-aging). This study aims to determine the effect of adding Carbopol as a gelling agent and propylene glycol as an enhancer on the physical characteristics and penetration rate of the emulgel. Four different formulas were prepared, F1 without a gelling agent (Carbopol) and enhancer (propylene glycol), F2 without a gelling agent (carbopol), F3 using a gelling agent (carbopol), and F4 using a gelling agent (carbopol) and enhancer (propylene glycol). The physical properties of formulas such as organoleptic examination, pH, viscosity, homogeneity, spreadability and cycling test were evaluated. Penetration testing was carried out using a Franz Diffusion cell. The results showed that F3 and F4 had the best physical stability and there was a difference in the penetration rate of α-mangostin from the four formulas. The amount of α-mangostin expanding the area for 6 hours, F1, F2, F3 and F4 were 228,22 µg/cm2; 251,06 µg/cm2(Tabel 3); 852,24 µg/cm2; dan 1.087,15 µg/cm2 respectively. Abstract

This research is an innovative development on teaching materials in order to intensify the movement of "Satu Guru Satu Buku (SAGUSABU)" and to prepare skillful media users on mastering Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). The resulting prototype is an interactive e-module named Chemistry Magazine which have two editions: ionic equilibrium and pH of buffer solution and solubility equilibrium. Applying research and development study design with Plomp model, assessment and suggestion by validator team on material substance aspect, instructional design, display (visual communication) and software utilization using validation sheet are in valid category. Percentage of legality score by media validator is 91.70% for ionic equilibrium and pH of buffer solution edition; and 94.18% for solubility equilibrium edition, whereas by material validator is 93.75% and 94.45% on each. Users response score rate through questionnaire for teachers and students on ionic equilibrium edition and pH of buffer solution edition are 87.08% and 88.45%; meanwhile 94,25% and 91,43%  are obtained from solubility equilibrium edition.

Abstract

This investigation aims to develop an interactive e-module chemistry magazine-based teaching material based on Kvisoft Flipbook Maker on thermochemistry for Senior High School grade XI/MA level. The research design is a development research (Research and Development) with Plomp’s model. The object of the research is the e-module inter-addictive chemistry magazine based on Kvisoft Flipbook Maker. The data instrument collection is a validation sheet form that is given to four validators and user response sheets to two chemistry subject teachers and 30 students of Senior High School grade XI focusing on Science Class. The data analysis technique is by calculated the percentage score of the validation assessment and user response. The results revealed that the developed e-module interactive chemistry magazine based on Kvisoft Flipbook Maker filled out the valid criteria by the material validators based on content substance assessment aspect with a percentage 88.89% and learning design 97.22% and by the media validators based on display (visual communication) with a percentage96.88% and software utilization 100%. While the User responses based on the teachers' and students’ responses were in very good criteria with each score 92.61% and 86.80%.

Abstract

Abstract: The learning activeness of students in class XI Science SMA IT AlFityah is low, low activeness causes low learning achievement of students. This research aims to determine the application of the Discovery Learning learning model to students in class XI Science at SMA IT Al-Fityah which aims to improve and find solutions to real problems in improving students' learning achievements. This research has cycles, each cycle consists of 4 stages of activities that are interrelated and continuous, namely; planning, implementation (acting), observation (observing), and reflection (reflecting). The research results of the discovery learning model show that students' learning completeness before action and after action is; cycle I (70.37%), and cycle II (92.59%). Thus, it can be concluded that there is a significant change in increasing learning outcomes between before and after being given classroom action by applying the discovery learning learning model to students in class XI Science at SMA IT Al-Fityah so that this research is considered to have been successful.
