Abstract

This article aims to describe the teacher's role and the implications of learning Aqidah Akhlak in the formation of the religious character of students at MTs Thoriqul Ulum Trawas. Qualitative with a case study approach has been used in this study. Data collection uses interview, observation, and documentation methods, while validity techniques use credibility, source triangulation, technical triangulation, and dependability. The results of the research are presented as follows: 1. Akhlak Aqidah teachers become motivators, mentors, and educators for students and are also less than optimal in their roles as facilitators and demonstrators. 2. The implications of Aqidah Akhlak teachers in forming the religious character of students at MTs Thoriqul Ulum, namely making students have the nature of discipline, responsibility, and honesty.

Abstract

Teacher empowerment is an effort of the leadership of educational institutions to improve teacher professionalism in teaching. This study aims to analyze teacher empowerment planning, teacher empowerment implementation, and teacher empowerment evaluation. Using a descriptive qualitative approach with observation data collection techniques, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis used Miles and Huberman's model and analyzed data using data triangulation.  The results of this study are: in planning activities, boarding school leaders plan facilities and infrastructure, educators, provide autonomy and develop teacher competence. In implementing activities, the boarding school leadership instructs the preparation of learning programs, gives confidence in managing classes, utilizes facilities and infrastructure, optimizes teachers as mentors, class administration, and teacher leadership, and optimizes teachers to develop learning evaluations. Evaluation, Checking curriculum documents, supervising classrooms, and providing supervision. The leadership of the boarding school has tried to improve the empowerment of teachers to build student entrepreneurship but teacher empowerment has not been fully achieved, as teachers have not fully met the qualifications as professional educators, and the impact of the development of student entrepreneurship has not been optimal.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze whether teacher competence is able to mediate madrasa heads and infrastructure on the quality of education. This study uses a quantitative approach, which consists of two exogenous variables of madrasa heads and infrastructure, one endogenous variable of education quality, and an intervention variable, namely teacher competency. The data obtained is primary data obtained directly from the respondents by dividing the questionnaires among the respondents. The research instrument used a Likert scale of 1-5, while data analysis used SEM diagram analysis which was processed using Amos Structural Equation Modeling. The results of the study show that teacher competence is able to mediate madrasa heads and infrastructure on the quality of education through teacher competence. These results indicate that teacher competence is able to mediate exogenous and endogenous variables.

Abstract

This article is motivated by student discipline records that show promising results. This disciplinary background cannot be separated from how single parents educate students in the family. This condition is certainly not in line with the theory of student discipline, where students with good discipline come from families that are intact and compact in educating their children. This article aims to find out and describe the Single Parent Parenting Pattern in Shaping the Discipline of MI Darussalam Pacet Mojokerto Students and the Causes of Single Parenting Patterns in Shaping the Discipline of MI Darussalam Students Pacet Mojokerto. This article has used a qualitative type with a case study approach centered on one well-disciplined student with divorced parents. The results of this study are 1) Parenting applied by single parents to students using a combination of authoritarian and authoritative parenting. 2) The causal factors are classified into internal and external.

Abstract

This article describes the influence of school culture and work motivation on school quality at SMKN 1 Pungging Mojokerto. This article has used quantitative research with a descriptive approach. The population in this study were all teachers at SMKN 1 Pungging Mojokerto, totaling 111, while the people used 87 respondents. The results showed that 1. School culture significantly influences school quality with a significance value of t of 0.00. 2. Work motivation significantly affects school quality with a significance value of t of 0.000. 3. Simultaneously, school culture and work motivation significantly influence school quality with a calculated F value of 32.876 with an F significance value of 0.000 and a regression coefficient R2 of 43.9%.

Abstract

Kampoh Malasso – Kampung Bajo Anaiwoi is a floating village located in Anaiwoi Village, Tanggetada District, Kolaka Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province. The majority of people in this floating village live by utilizing marine products, but limitations in business management and product marketing are the main obstacles in improving their standard of living. Seeing this condition, the USN Kolaka Community Partnership Program (PKM) Team tried to collaborate with the Anaiwoi Village PKK Team to help the local community through training and mentoring that focuses on aspects of management, product packaging, and digital marketing in order to increase literacy, development of MSMEs and creative industries based on coastal tourism. The PKM implementation method is divided into 5 stages, namely: socialization, training, application of technology, mentoring and evaluation, and program sustainability. This service resulted in several important achievements related to the level of empowerment of PKK partners in Anaiwoi Village, namely: 1) Increasing Managerial Knowledge: Training participants succeeded in improving their managerial skills, especially in preparing plans and managing PKK programs; 2) Improving Packaging Skills, where partners are skilled in packaging marine products and MSMEs, such as packaging for Malasso Dried Fish, Anaiwoi Green Banana, SaPa Ongol-Ongol (Coconut Sago), Fresh Smoothies, Malasso Village Krips (Cassava Chips), as well as digital printing creative industries (shirt screen printing, etc.); and 3) Improving Digital Marketing Skills: Partners are able to utilize digital technology to market their products more widely through websites and social media, as well as improve their skills in creating promotional content that has an impact on strengthening literacy at the same time.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is a difference in scientific literacy between students who follow the inquiry learning model and students who follow the STAD cooperative learning model to determine the difference between scientific literacy due to students' achievement motivation to describe the interaction between the learning model and achievement motivation on students' scientific literacy. This study used a Posttest-Only Control Group Design with a two-factor analysis. The population in this study were fifth-semester PGSD students at HKBP Nommensen University of Pematangsiantar, in 2024/2025 Academic Year, with totaling 186 students, which sample of 124 students determined by using Simple Random Sampling technique for the class. Data were obtained using the achievement motivation instrument and the science literacy test. Data analysis was carried out using two-way analysis of variance. The study found a significant difference in scientific literacy between students who followed the Inquiry Learning Model and those who followed the STAD Cooperative Learning Model, with a p-value of 0.000, which is less than 0.05. There is a difference in student science literacy based on achievement motivation with a value of Sig. 0.000 < 0.05 and there is no interaction between the learning model and achievement motivation on student science literacy, with a value of Sig. 0.230 > 0.05.

Abstract

Background: The intensive and prolonged use of synthetic fungicides, particularly mancozeb, exerts selective pressure on non-target microbial communities, potentially promoting the emergence of tolerant populations. Therefore, biocontrol agents that remain effective under such chemical stress are needed. Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the tolerance responses of Streptomyces xiangtanensis NBSP3F and Trichoderma asperellum G-4274-1 to mancozeb exposure across a gradient of concentrations. Methods: The experiment was conducted in vitro using a poisoned food technique at six concentrations (0%, 1%, 2%, 3%, 4%, and 5%) with six replications. Tolerance of S. xiangtanensis was assessed qualitatively based on colony growth, while T. asperellum was quantitatively evaluated using mycelial radial growth and growth inhibition metrics. Results: Results showed a concentration-dependent suppression of growth in both isolates. S. xiangtanensis maintained complete growth (100%) at 0–1% concentrations, decreased to 75% at 2–3%, 50% at 4%, and 25% at 5%. T. asperellum exhibited stable growth (90–100%) at 0–2%, moderate reduction (70–72.5%) at 3–4%, and a decline to 45% at 5%. Comparatively, T. asperellum showed higher physiological resilience than S. xiangtanensis under intermediate to high fungicide stress, though both isolates had reduced adaptability at the highest concentration. Conclusions: These findings indicate species-specific differences in adaptive capacity to multisite fungicidal stress, likely due to variation in metabolic flexibility and stress-response mechanisms. Collectively, both isolates demonstrate strong potential as multifunctional biocontrol agents, integrating pathogen suppression, plant growth promotion, and possible roles in pesticide-tolerant biodegradation, offering promising implications for sustainable agroecosystem management.

Abstract

Background: Entomopathogenic fungi (EPFs) such as Beauveria bassiana and Metarhizium spp. are widely used as biological control agents in integrated pest management (IPM), but their ecological risks to non-target predatory arthropods remain insufficiently understood; specifically, no quantitative synthesis has yet compared these effects across multiple exposure pathways and predator taxa simultaneously. Objective: This meta-analysis aimed to quantify and compare the lethal and sublethal effects of these two EPF species on predatory arthropods and to determine how exposure pathway and predator taxonomic group modulate the magnitude of ecological risk. Methods: Data were extracted from 27 laboratory studies published between 2015 and 2025, yielding 147 observations across more than 25 predator species representing six taxonomic orders (five with sufficient replication for pooled comparison). Effect sizes, expressed as log odds ratios and Hedges' g, were pooled using random-effects models, and mixed-effects moderator analyses compared EPF species, exposure pathway, and predator taxonomic order. Results: Both B. bassiana and Metarhizium spp. significantly increased predator mortality (pooled OR = 13.33) and reduced survival (OR = 7.665), with no significant difference in lethality between species. Developmental time was significantly prolonged and fecundity was significantly reduced, while longevity showed no significant overall effect, albeit based on limited data (k = 6). Exposure pathway was the strongest significant moderator of fecundity risk: direct application caused significantly greater fecundity reduction than soil or prey-mediated exposure, and Coleoptera showed the greatest susceptibility to developmental disruption among taxonomic orders based on the available data, with Coleoptera also being by far the most represented order (n = 67 observations). Conclusions: Exposure pathway, rather than EPF species identity, was the primary determinant of laboratory-observed lethal and sublethal effects on predatory arthropods, indicating that application method warrants priority attention in ecological risk assessment and in the design of EPF-based biological control strategies that seek to conserve predatory arthropods as key natural enemies, although field validation of these laboratory-based, worst-case-scenario estimates is still needed.
