Abstract

ABSTRACT Lactic acid bacteria (LAB) were isolated from of cocoa beans fermentation Forestero variety from West Sumatera, that were eleven isolates. The isolates were tested to antimicrobial activity against pathogenic bacteria E.coli NBRC 14237, Staphylococcus aureus NBRC 13276, Bacillus subtilis BTCCB 612, listeria m. dan S. Typhii. Results the research showed that, isolates had inhibition zone to pathogenic bacteria, that were 7 mm till 12 mm at 48 hours observation. R2.4 isolate was most potential to inhibition zones growth pathogenic bacteria, that was 11mm till 12 mm to five pathogens. R2.4 isolates was the highest to against pathogenic bacteria (Bacillus subtilis BTCCB, Listeria monocytogenesis and Staphylococcus aureus NBRC) had inhibition zones, that was 12.00 mm till 48 hours. Listeria monocytogenesis had been known as pest bacterium of food born, so that R2.4 isolate can be used as food biopreservative. Crude of R2.4 isolate molecular weight was 10 kDa by SDS-PAGE.  Key words: Lactic acid bacteria, Antimicrobial activity, SDS-PAGE, Cocoa fermentation and food biopreservative

Abstract

Meningkatnya penggunaan internet telah memicu pertumbuhan dan pertukaran informasi menjadi jauh lebih pesat dibandingkan era sebelumnya. Volume berita elektronik berbahasa Indonesia semakin bertambah besar dan menyimpan informasi yang berharga di dalamnya. Pengelompokkan berita berbahasa Indonesia merupakan salah satu solusi yang dapat digunakan untuk mempermudah mencerna informasi penting yang ada di dalamnya. Clustering dapat digunakan untuk membantu menganalisis berita dengan mengelompokkan secara otomatis berita yang memiliki kesamaan. Pada text clustering terdapat suatu permasalahan yaitu adanya fitur – fitur yang berdimensi tinggi. Diperlukan metode Feature selection untuk mengurangi dimensi fitur ini. Feature selection memiliki kemampuan mengurangi dimensionalitas suatu data sehingga dapat meningkatkan performansi clustering. Ada beberapa pendekatan sebagai teknik dari implementasi feature selection, salah satunya adalah filter based feature selection. Pada penelitian ini, dilakukan analisis perbandingan metode feature selection antara Term contribution dan Document Frequency. Metode-metode feature selection tersebut diterapkan secara filter feature selection. Pada akhir pengujian, dapat dibuktikan bahwa metode Term contribution lebih baik daripada Document Frequency karena memperhitungkan frekuensi kemunculan term pada suatu dokumen dan jumlah dokumen yang dimiliki term tersebut, sehingga term yang terpilih adalah term yang khas atau bersifat diskriminator. Hal ini dapat meningkatkan performansi clustering dokumen berdasarkan precision dan entropy.

Abstract

Churn prediction pada pelanggan telekomunikasi merupakan upaya memprediksi/mengklasifikasi pelanggan jasa telekomunikasi yang berhenti atau berpindah berlangganan dari suatu operator ke operator yang lain. Namun dataset pada kasus churn ini biasanya memiliki kelas yang imbalance dimana jumlah instance suatu kelas (kelas active atau tidak churn atau mayor atau negatif) jauh lebih besar dari jumlah kelas yang lain (kelas churn atau minor atau positif). Akibatnya, kebanyakan classifier cenderung memprediksi kelas mayor dan mengabaikan kelas minor sehingga akurasi kelas minor sangat kecil. Salah satu pendekatan yang dilakukan untuk menangani permasalahan ini adalah dengan memodifikasi distribusi instances dari dataset yang digunakan atau yang lebih dikenal dengan pendekatan sampling-based. Teknik resampling ini meliputi oversampling, under-sampling, dan combine-sampling. Analisis yang dilakukan pada penelitian ini adalah mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh metode combine sampling yang digunakan terhadap akurasi prediksi data churn dengan melakukan penghitungan akurasi model churn prediction yang dinyatakan dalam bentuk lift curve, top decile dan gini coefficient serta f-measure untuk penghitungan akurasi prediksi data sebagai data yang imbalance. Hasil yang didapat dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode combine sampling belum sesuai diterapkan pada data churn, karena cenderung masih menghasilkan nilai top decile yang kecil. Tetapi secara umum metode combine sampling ini mampu meningkatkan akurasi untuk memprediksi data minor. Dengan penerapan metode combine sampling, data churn yang memiliki tingkat imbalance yang besar dapat diklasifikasi tanpa mengorbankan data minor yang menjadi fokus penelitian. Metode combine sampling yang digunakan juga memiliki hasil evaluasi yang berbeda terhadap dataset sebagai data churn dan sebagai dataimbalance.

Abstract

Group recommender system is built to overcome the different needs that exist in each of the tour group members in determining tourist destinations. This is because everyone has different desires in determining the constraints of tourist destinations, such as costs and tourist categories. This recommendation process is based on a combination of profiles of each member to produce a tourist destination that can fulfill their needs. The method used is hybrid filtering which is a combination of collaborative filtering and knowledge-based filtering. Because the two methods have their own shortcomings. The collaborative method has a deficiency of tourist items that have never been rated by a user before, so the item cannot be recommended for active users. While in knowledge-based, tourist items must be completely described in detail so that they can be recommended to users. Domain used in this research is Bandung Raya area. The results of the evaluation in this study, users tend to feel very satisfied for the results of group travel recommendations generated the application by 50%. As for the evaluation of the recommendation algorithm, users prefer the results of the recommendations produced by collaborative and hybrid methods.

Abstract

Traveling is one of the activities chosen by many people to spend holidays. Some tourists want to go on vacation in a place they have never visited before, so they need a tool to plan a tour. Planning this tour includes determining tourist route. We analogize the determination of tourist routes using Traveling Salesman Problem (TSP). The main objective of this study was to find the optimal tourist route using Swap Operator Based Artificial Bee Colony Algorithm. We use Multi-Attribute Utility Theory (MAUT) to accommodate user needs for the route that recommended by the system. The criteria for user preferences used in this study are: 1) routes with as many tourist attractions as possible, 2) routes that pass popular destinations, and 3) routes with minimal costs. Based on the experiment results, Swap Operator Based Artificial Bee Colony gives more optimal results than the Simulated Annealing, especially in terms of the number of tourist attractions (nodes) that can be visited in one trip.Keywords: Multi-Attribute Utility Theory, Swap Operator Based Artificial Bee Colony Algorithm, Traveling Salesman Problem

Abstract

Nowadays, search engines are used to find various information on the Web.  Search engines that are implied traditional search based on keywords do not always provide relevant information. Meanwhile by semantic search can provide relevant results because it can understand the meaning of the context and its connection. One approach to semantic search is to use ontology. Ontology is used to define concepts and relevant relations in a domain. In Information Retrieval (IR), an ontology  encompasses in returning relevant information from a collection of unstructured information. One application of ontology in IR is query expansion. In this research, The query entered by the users will be searched for its relation to the ontology domain which will be expanded later. We use tourism in Bandung Raya as an ontology domain.  The search in this research is represented by using Vector Space Model (VSM). Furthermore, relevant documents  from search result will be provided to users. Based on the results of testing, the system that is built is able to provide relevant information with an average MAP value better than the search system that only uses traditional search methods.

Abstract

Currently, the music industry has grown rapidly which has led to an information overload that hinders users from finding the music they want, because everyone has their own unique characteristics. In a previous study, the Recommender System converted music lyrics into digital values using Lexicon's Non-Commercial Research (NRC) and K Nearest Neighbors (KNN) to look for similarities between music. However, this system only uses lyrics to recommend music, so it doesn't pay more attention to user preferences. Therefore, in this study adds criteria from users using the Weighted Product Method (WPM) to weight the music criteria with the input criteria from users. In this study uses a music dataset from 2000 to 2019 taken from the Kaggle website. The purpose of this study was to measure user satisfaction using the System Usability Scale (SUS). In this case, the user is free to answer 10 questions regarding the results of the recommendations provided by the system. Based on the results of the questionnaire, the SUS score was 83.65. This score is included in the EXCELLENT category with grade A scale

Abstract

Presently, we often get suggestions for recommendations for tourist attractions from various sources such as the internet, magazines, newspapers, or travel agencies. Because there is numerous information, tourists become difficult to determine the tourism destination that suits their wishes. We created a tourism recommender system that can provide information in the form of recommendations for tourist attractions by the preference of tourists. The method used is a hybrid method that combines several recommendation methods, which are Content-Based Filtering (CB) and Collaborative Filtering (CF). We use tourism data of Lombok Island, West Nusa Tenggara, which will be taken from the TripAdvisor site. We apply the Singular Value Decomposition algorithm on CF and CB. The Hybrid Weighted Parallel Technique is used for Hybrid Method. The results of the experiment show that the weighting technique hybrid method provides higher prediction accuracy than when undergoing the recommender system method separately. The average results of Mean Square Error were obtained 0.7275 (CF), 0 .4583 (CB), and 0.2548 (Hybrid Method). The result indicates that the Hybrid Method with the Weighting Technique has the highest accuracy of another method.

Abstract

Conversational recommender system is system that provides dialogue as user guide to obtain information from the user, in order to obtain preference for products needed. This research implements conversational recommender system with knowledge-based in the smartphone domain with an explanation facility. The recommended products are obtained based on the functional requirements of the user. Therefore, this study use ontology model as a knowledge to be more flexible in finding products that is suitable with the functional requirements of the user that is by tracing a series of semantic based on relationships in order to obtain the user model. By exploiting the relationship between instances of user models, the explanation facility generated can be more natural. Our filtering method uses semantic reasoning with inference method to avoid overspecialization. The evaluation show that the performance of our recommender system with explanation facilities is more efficient than the recommendation system without explanation facility, that can be seen from the number of iterations. We also notice that our system has accuracy of 84%.

Abstract

Abstract: The plethora of experience in one culture is stored in concepts which are further manifested in the lexicon, grammar and metaphors of the language. Some concepts are congruent across languages, while some are not. Theoretically, some linguists maintain that translation is impossible on the ground of linguistic relativity hypothesis. However, in practice translation is always done again and again, and this proves that translation of expressions referring to these concepts is doable. Considering the discussion of the elements of conceptual systems presented here, the writer proposes three ways of translating expressions to convey concepts: (a) compensating the element of a concept with another element of the same concept, (b) separating concepts from words or expression, and (c) bringing the concept and expressions into the target language using loan word/expression with or without any notes, or bringing the concept into the target language using descriptions. To help select an appropriate way of translating in a particular case, translators should consider the translation purpose. As the discussion unfolds, examples are presented to illustrate the situation.Key Words: linguistic relativity, concept, conceptual system, grammaticization, lexicalization, metaphor, compensationAbstrak: Kebanyakan pengalaman dalam satu budaya tersimpan dalam konsep yang terwujud dalam leksikon, tata bahasa, dan metafora bahasa. Beberapa konsep kongruen di seluruh bahasa, sementara beberapa lainnya tidak. Secara teoritis, beberapa ahli bahasa berpendapat bahwa terjemahan itu tidak mungkin berdasarkan hipotesis relativitas linguistik. Namun, dalam praktiknya terjemahan selalu dilakukan berulang-ulang, dan ini membuktikan bahwa terjemahan ungkapan yang mengacu pada konsep ini dapat dilakukan. Mengingat pembahasan tentang unsur-unsur sistem konseptual yang dipaparkan di sini, diajukan tiga cara untuk menerjemahkan ekspresi untuk menyampaikan konsep: (a) mengkompensasi unsur konsep dengan elemen lain dari konsep yang sama, (b) memisahkan konsep dari kata atau ungkapan, dan (c) membawa konsep dan ungkapan ke dalam bahasa target menggunakan kata/ekspresi pinjaman dengan atau tanpa catatan, atau membawa konsep ke bahasa target menggunakan deskripsi. Untuk membantu memilih cara menerjemahkan yang tepat dalam kasus tertentu, penerjemah mempertimbangkan tujuan penerjemahan. Seiring diskusi dipaparkan, disajikan contoh untuk menggambarkan situasi.Kata kunci: relativitas linguistik, konsep, sistem konseptual, gramatisasi, leksikalisasi, metafor, kompensasi
