Abstract

The community service program in Cialam Jaya Village, Konda District, South Konawe Regency, is designed with a participatory approach and holistic experiential learning-based training methods. This training aims to strengthen the social network and collaboration of rice farmer groups through a series of activities such as directed group discussions, field practice simulations, and mentoring by cross-disciplinary experts. The training process begins with a needs assessment, then continues with the preparation of training modules and the implementation of skills through direct practice, followed by the stage of collective evaluation and reflection. The results of the activity showed a positive impact in the form of increased communication, trust, and cooperation between farmers. In addition to technical improvements such as irrigation efficiency and crop diversification, the training also succeeded in strengthening interpersonal capacities, such as shared decision-making and conflict management. The evaluation showed an increase in productivity, active participation of farmers, and the emergence of collective farming initiatives. Alternative strategic solutions such as regular communication forums, mentoring of superior farmers, and the integration of technology based on local wisdom also support the sustainability of program results. This service proves that contextual and collaborative approaches can encourage socio-economic transformation and strengthen village independence based on sustainable agriculture.

Abstract

Single Lane Free Flow (SLFF), known as “Let It Flo,” is a contactless toll payment system based on RFID technology developed by PT Jasamarga to reduce transaction time and queuing at toll gates. However, its implementation has not been fully effective due to low user adoption. This study aims to identify the implementation of SLFF, analyze vehicle flow, service time, service level, and delay time between the E-Toll and SLFF systems, as well as evaluate user perceptions toward the system. The analysis applies queuing theory using vehicle survey data collected at the Bekasi Timur 2 Toll Gate on January 13, 16, and 18, 2025, and questionnaires distributed to toll road users. The results show that SLFF is only used by four-wheeled light vehicles with a low adoption rate of two vehicles per hour compared to 343 vehicles per hour for E-Toll. Nevertheless, SLFF can reduce delay time by 0.6 seconds per vehicle and increase service capacity with a projected result of 6,000 vehicles per hour, significantly higher than the E-Toll system’s capacity of 957 vehicles per hour. The system eliminates queues and reduces congestion with a service intensity below one (ρ < 1), while users report improved safety and comfort due to non-stop and contactless transactions. The main challenges include limited infrastructure, restricted gate availability, ongoing application development, and limited technological information on the SLFF/Flo system. Therefore, infrastructure expansion, application improvement, and government support are essential to accelerate adoption and enhance the performance of the toll system in Indonesia. Abstract

Abstract

Student academic achievement is an indicator of academic success. However, behind the beautiful results, another important aspect is being forgotten: the mental health of students. This project aims to investigate the effect of mental health counseling on the academic performance of MA Baytul Mukarromah students. Based on the first observation, it was found that many students have difficulty managing stress and anxiety, which can affect their learning results. Therefore, it is hoped that this project can contribute to improving the quality of education at MA Baytul Mukarromah by providing relevant recommendations related to mental health education programs. The results of this project show that mental health counseling helps students in improving their learning outcomes. Counseling not only provides knowledge and skills, but also helps students develop self-awareness, increase their motivation to learn, and establish positive social relationships so that they are more aware of the importance of healthy mental health, which increases their academic performance for a better future.

Abstract

Abstract

This study analyzes the construction of consumption behavior among dormitory students amid the expansion of digital advertising, the rise of consumer culture, and the role of religion and educational institutions as normative mechanisms. Using a qualitative descriptive-analytical design, data were collected through observation and in-depth interviews with boarding house students who actively use social media and online shopping platforms. The analysis combines Jean Baudrillard’s perspective on consumer society, Pierre Bourdieu’s concept of habitus, and Max Weber’s theory of rational action to examine consumption dynamics at micro, meso, and macro levels. The findings reveal that digital advertising not only delivers product information but also produces meanings that shape students’ preferences, lifestyles, and social identities. Intensive exposure to advertising, combined with technological adaptability and a phase of self-discovery, shifts consumption orientation from utility value to symbolic value. Consumption becomes a strategy for gaining social recognition and constructing self-image. However, students are not merely passive consumers; they evaluate ratings and reviews, consider financial limitations, and even transform into digital economic actors such as resellers. At the same time, tensions emerge between value-oriented rationality derived from religion and education and the instrumental rationality promoted by the digital market system, which may lead to impulsive buying, wastefulness, and financial strain. This study contributes by positioning boarding house students as active agents negotiating within digital capitalism and recommends strengthening financial and media literacy alongside the internalization of religious consumption ethics.
