Abstract

Menulis kreatif merupakan upaya pengungkapan ide atau gagasan dalam bentuk tulisan. Guru sebagai fasilitator dan motivator dalam mendukung dan meningkatkan program literasi di dunia pendidikan niscaya harus menghasilkan karya tulis kreatif. Namun, kendala yang dihadapi di lapangan adalah masih banyak plagiarisme dalam tulisan guru-guru di Jepara. Studi ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kreativitas menulis bagi para guru di Kabupaten Jepara melalui Gerakan Literasi Guru Menulis (GLGM) yang terintegrasi dengan kemampuan membaca dan menyimak sehingga menghasilkan karya tulis kreatif serta orisinil. Metode kegiatan ini yaitu pelatihan dan pendampingan mitra dengan tahapan sosialisasi, pelatihan menulis, dan klinik review hasil penulisan. Melalui metode kerja sama kemitraan bersama Forum Literasi Jepara, solusi dan target kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis kreatif bagi para guru di Kabupaten Jepara dalam buku bunga rampai berISBN. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian ini diperoleh bahwa para guru dilibatkan untuk berkontribusi dalam penulisan kreatif yang akan dikompilasi dalam buku bunga rampai; hasil tulisan kompilasi para guru telah dicek plagiasi turnitin dengan persentase keunikan 74% sehingga layak untuk dipublikasikan; dan setelah diberikan tes evaluasi diperoleh kemampuan menulis guru meningkat dari hasil awal 64.75% menjadi 79% setelah dilakukan pelatihan dan pendampingan. Kata Kunci: menulis kreatif, Gerakan Literasi Guru Menulis (GLGM), Forum Literasi Jepara.

Abstract

Cooking class activities are group activities to train creativity, share and work together. In addition, cooking classes can make children more careful and patient. This condition makes the school at RA Imama Mijen Semarang carry out routine activities every year to determine the growth and development of children in the stages of independence and responsibility. This study aims to describe the results of cooking class activities in fostering an attitude of independence and responsibility in children. This research is a quantitative descriptive study using a survey method via an online google form. The population of this study were parents of children in grade A3 at RA Imama. Cooking class activities are carried out directly at home and outside the school by taking into account the participation of parents in accompanying children's activities. The results showed that parental assistance was very influential on the independence and responsibility of children in cooking class activities, namely 93.75% more independent children, and 87.5% more responsible children. In addition, the response of parents in accompanying children in cooking class activities was in the very fun category, namely 87.5%.

Abstract

Plastic waste is the main problem of environmental pollution at SDN Gebang 1, an Adiwiyata school in Demak Regency. Piles of plastic waste need to be appropriately managed because they need to create a better impression of the vision and mission of the Adiwiyata School. Another problem was seen during the rainy season when plastic waste blocked the water flow. SDN Gebang 1 experienced flooding until the water entered the classrooms. One of the efforts made by the school is through collaboration with OISCA to make it a green school. However, schools still need help with waste handling in the school area. The program aims to utilize waste through Eco-Paving Blocks. The community service method includes five stages: socialization, training, application of technology, mentoring, and monitoring. The activities obtained results from using plastic waste in the elementary school environment, which was 100% because partners agreed that plastic waste must be managed well. Applying the TTG Eco-Paving Block tool is easy to use, with results of 85.25%. The successful implementation of the activity received a score of 90.50%. Partners can utilize 87.50% of plastic waste through the TTG Eco-Paving Block tool. The implementation of practical activities by teachers obtained results of 92.25%. Thus, teachers need assistance utilizing plastic waste through the TTG Eco-Paving Block tool, which helps reduce plastic waste at SDN Gebang 1.

Abstract

This study explores the internalization process of Aswaja-based character education in an Islamic elementary school in Semarang, Indonesia. This qualitative research with a case study design was accomplished at Imama Islamic Elementary School, Semarang, Indonesia. The study results found three findings. First, the school environment was designed by the various religious activities and programs that shape the religious culture in schools. Second, efforts to integrate Aswaja-based character education values ​​in the learning process. Third, it was a collaborative role between the school, parents, and the community, from socialization and planning to evaluating and monitoring the activities and programs. All three are based on the teachings of Aswaja An-Nahdliyah, which emphasize the values ​​of tolerance (tasamuh), balance (tawazun), justice (i'tidal), and moderation (tasawuth). This condition can reinforce the student's character, referring to Aswaja An-Nahdliyah's teaching. The findings of this study imply that the school needs to develop programs to strengthen student character that refer to religious traditions or other local treasures who live in the community. That way, its design and implementation will become more acceptable to the student and the community while at the same time placing the school as a concrete miniature of social life for students.

Abstract

New paradigm of learning addresses the shift of how education and learning approaches in the modern era. Smart Apps Creator (SAC) constitutes a new digital-based application to assist teachers create an effective learning environment. As android-based learning media, SAC has a long-term memory to be stored without requiring coding expertise since it is easy to use by educators. This community service is aimed at enhancing teachers’ professional development in implementing smart apps creator (SAC) by providing teachers and stakeholders at SDN 2 Pekalongan Jepara knowledge and training of applying SAC. The activity method employed includes expository, Q&A, demonstration, and evaluation. The result of this activity after getting a post-test conducted to 22 teachers and stakeholders is that 81% teachers as participants claimed having enlightened ideas, knowledge and skill improved. Besides, the score average of post-test delivered was a higher score of 95 than the average of pretest scores of 48. Most teachers expected a sustainable training program as the follow-up of community service.

Abstract

Limbah kaleng bekas semakin meningkat karena adanya kemajuan teknologi, permasalahan limbah di Indonesia menyebabkan pencemaran lingkungan di sekitar masyarakat. Data Kementerian Lingkungan Hidup dan Kehutanan Republik Indonesia mencatat bahwa produksi limbah di Indonesia mencapai 67,8 juta ton pada tahun 2020. Angka ini meningkat 1% dari tahun 2019 yang "hanya" mencapai 66-67 ton limbah. Sebanyak 9 juta ton dari keseluruhan limbah tersebut adalah limbah kaleng. Hasil observasi yang dilakukan terhadap masyarakat yang berdomisili di Desa Pulodarat Jepara, menunjukkan bahwa limbah kaleng yang dihasilkan rata-rata mencapai 1 (satu) kilogram per KK per hari. Upaya untuk meminimalisir dampak pencemaran lingkungan akibat limbah kaleng salah satunya adalah dengan cara mendaur ulang limbah tersebut menjadi produk kerajinan tangan yang mempunyai nilai jual dan memiliki nilai fungsi. Pada masa pandemi seperti saat ini, nilai jual dapat membantu perekonomian. Dalam pemanfaatan limbah kaleng dibutuhkan kreativitas untuk mengolah limbah kaleng menjadi hasil karya berupa hiasan dinding kaligrafi islam yang nantinya selain mengurangi limbah rumah tangga juga mampu meningkatkan profit (keuntungan). Nilai jual hasil karya berupa hiasan dinding kaligrafi tersebut tergantung hasil kreasi masing-masing masyarakat, semakin unik dan kreatif suatu hasil karya maka semakin tinggi nilai jualnya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian mengenai pemanfaatan limbah botol kaleng adalah survey, wawancara, dan angket. Hasil dari pemanfaatan limbah botol kaleng menjadi kerajinan tangan berupa hiasan dinding kaligrafi islam untuk meningkatkan kreativitas serta keterampilan masyarakat di wilayah Di Desa Pulodarat Jepara.

Abstract

Literasi adalah keterampilan penting yang harus dikuasai oleh setiap individu dalam era globalisasi ini. Upaya Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan literasi di sekolah yaitu dengan mengembangkan kegiatan Gerakan Literasi Sekolah (GLS). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana implementasi pojok baca dalam Program Kampus Mengajar di SDN 2 Pecangaan Wetan dapat berkontribusi dalam meningkatkan literasi peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini, diantaranya: observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, penyebaran kuesioner di kelas 5, dan pre-test dan post-test AKM Kelas 5. Gerakan literasi sekolah SDN 2 Pecangaan dilakukan melalui 3 tahap yaitu, tahap pembiasaan, tahap pengembangan, dan tahap pembelajaran. Dengan program Liner (Literacy Corner) yang ditata dan didekorasi semenarik mungkin dan berbagai koleksi buku anak yang menarik. Terbukti dengan hasil penyebaran kuesioner dari 32 peserta didik, 22 diantaranya merasa terbantu dan lebih gemar membaca setelah adanya pojok baca. Selain itu, hasil post-test AKM Kelas yang meningkat dengan hasil literasi 83%. Pelaksanaan post-test peserta didik mengalami peningkatan kemampuan literasi sebanyak 28% dari pelaksanaan pre-test yang hanya mendapat hasil 55% saja. Kemampuan literasi peserta didik dapat meningkat dengan upaya pembiasan membaca yang dibangun sejak dini serta menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang kondusif.

Abstract

This study examines the process of drawing batik motifs in fostering the character of patriotism in elementary school. The research design used qualitative research with descriptive methods. The research subjects were teachers and students of SD UT Bumi Kartini in grade V. The research focused more on the results of the students after drawing batik motifs. The technique of collecting data is through observation, interviews, and literature study, while the data analysis technique uses interactive model analysis. The results showed that students could practice learning to draw batik motifs through teacher guidance and direction, by further instilling the values of patience, consistency, tenacity, responsibility, confidence and persistence. In addition, each drawing of a batik motif can provide students with contextual experiences and be able to provide benefits in appreciating national cultural heritage. Penelitian ini mengkaji terkait proses menggambar motif batik dalam menumbuhkan karakter cinta tanah pada diri peserta di sekolah dasar. Desain penelitian menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode metode deskriptif. Subjek penelitian adalah Guru dan Siswa SD UT Bumi Kartini di kelas V. Penelitian lebih berfokus pada hasil capaian peserta didik setelah melakukan kegiatan menggambar motif batik. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan studi kepustakaan, sedangkan teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis model interaktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peserta didik dapat praktik belajar menggambar motif batik melalui bimbingan dan arahan guru dengan lebih menanamkan nilai kesabaran, konsistensi, keuletan, tanggungjawab, percaya diri dan ketekunan. Selain itu, setiap goresan gambar motif batik dapat memberikan bekal pengalaman bagi peserta didik secara konstektual dan mampu memberikan kemanfaatan dalam menghargai warisan budaya nasional.

Abstract

21st century education develops 4C competencies (Creative, Critical thinking, Communication, Collaboration), including learning in Social Natural Sciences (IPAS). International surveys show that Indonesia has a level of student scientific ability below the global average. This research aims to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model with the support of miniature power plant waterwheel media on students' critical thinking skills. This research uses a one-group pretest-posttest design. The research sample consisted of 10 students. Data collection tools through description tests. The results of the research show that there is a significant increase in students' critical thinking abilities after implementing the PBL model using a miniature waterwheel for power generation. The PBL model provides students with a more in-depth, active learning experience and the miniature waterwheel media helps students understand science concepts very well. This research underlines the importance of innovative models in science education to improve students' critical thinking abilities.

Abstract

Realistic Mathematical Education (RME) is a method of linking abstract mathematics learning with real life so that mathematics is easy to understand. Suggest that in explaining the calculation work as much as possible so that it begins by using real objects, drawings or diagrams that have something to do with real everyday life. This study aims to determine the implementation of the RME approach in elementary schools based on a literature review conducted. This research uses a qualitative approach with a type of literature study. The data collection technique used is through the study of documentation sourced from relevant books, articles, and references. Data analysis techniques consist of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results of data analysis show that mathematics teachers need to apply RME in the classroom so that abstract mathematical concepts are easier to understand. RME also helps teachers to simplify and realize mathematical concepts. Therefore, teachers need to be more creative and innovative in designing learning with this approach. Teachers need to develop more appropriate media, strategies, or learning models, according to the learning material or with the context faced by their students
