Abstract

Abstract: Teachers' code of ethics has a central role in shaping the professionalism of Christian Religious Education teachers. This study aims to analyse how the teacher code of ethics serves as an ethical foundation in raising standards of professionalism, integrity and moral responsibility in teaching practice. Using a qualitative approach based on literature review, this study examines the relevance of the PAK teachers' code of ethics in the context of modern education as well as the challenges faced in its implementation. The results show that the teacher code of ethics functions not only as a moral guide but also as an instrument that strengthens commitment to the development of learners' character in accordance with Christian values. Educational policies that emphasise teachers' codes of conduct contribute to improving the quality of learning that is more ethical and oriented towards spiritual values. Thus, consistent implementation of the code of conduct can improve the quality of teaching and shape a more inclusive and value-based educational environment. The novelty of this research lies in the approach that highlights the relationship between teachers' codes of conduct and professionalism in Christian religious education, which has rarely been discussed in depth. The findings provide new insights into how a code of ethics can be used as an instrument of character strengthening and moral transformation in education, especially in a religious contex.   Abstrak: Kode etik guru memiliki peran sentral dalam membentuk profesionalitas guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen (PAK). Studi ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana kode etik guru menjadi landasan etis dalam meningkatkan standar profesionalisme, integritas, dan tanggung jawab moral dalam praktik pengajaran. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif berbasis kajian literatur, penelitian ini mengkaji relevansi kode etik guru PAK dalam konteks pendidikan modern serta tantangan yang dihadapi dalam implementasinya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kode etik guru berfungsi tidak hanya sebagai panduan moral tetapi juga sebagai instrumen yang memperkuat komitmen terhadap pengembangan karakter peserta didik sesuai dengan nilai-nilai Kristen. Kebijakan pendidikan yang menekankan kode etik guru berkontribusi pada peningkatan mutu pembelajaran yang lebih beretika dan berorientasi pada nilai-nilai spiritual. Dengan demikian, penerapan kode etik yang konsisten dapat meningkatkan kualitas pengajaran serta membentuk lingkungan pendidikan yang lebih inklusif dan berbasis nilai. Kebaharuan penelitian ini terletak pada pendekatan yang menyoroti hubungan antara kode etik guru dan profesionalitas dalam pendidikan agama Kristen, yang masih jarang dibahas secara mendalam. Temuan ini memberikan wawasan baru tentang bagaimana kode etik dapat dijadikan sebagai instrumen penguatan karakter dan transformasi moral dalam dunia pendidikan, khususnya dalam konteks keagamaan.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of spiritual intelligence in increasing the professionalism of Christian Religious Education teachers. The professionalism of Christian Religious Educationteachers plays an important role in the success of giving birth to students with Christ's character. Spiritual intelligence is the result of an intimate and intense relationship with God. Through this research, the author conveys that through spiritual intelligence, God actually speaks and guides teachers in living their professional lives and responsibilities. The indicators of spiritual intelligence presented in this study help to understand how spiritual intelligence actually works. The research method used is qualitative. Collecting data using the method of observation and literature study. The results of the study concluded that when a teacher has spiritual intelligence, the ability to understand the nature of oneself is created, able to understand God's will so that the spirit to move his life is the Holy Spirit. Thus his existence both body and soul (all thoughts and feelings) is directed to become a teacher similar to the Lord Jesus Christ.

Abstract

Sunday school teachers must be an example for every child. Sunday school teachers must also be able to provide exciting teachings and involve children in learning so that passive children can participate in learning. Using descriptive qualitative methods, this research can be concluded that. Teachers in Sunday schools can create effective teaching methods that involve children in teaching, such as the question-and-answer method, to encourage children to be active in the learning process, enabling them to be enthusiastic in the teaching process. Sunday school is essential in teaching, helping, and encouraging children to understand what the Bible provides as the right way to live in Christ. Children can shape their attitudes, behavior, and character by following God's commands through the Word of God, taught by parents and Sunday schoolteachers in the Christian faith.

Abstract

Behavior that reasoned deceitfulness often occurs in today's leadership, using unconventional ways to rise and replace previous leadership positions. In the theological study of 2 Samuel 15: 1-12, there is a historical story about how a king's son wanted to coup his parents' leadership deceitfully, namely the black campaign. Using descriptive qualitative methods, it can be concluded that Christian leadership should answer the problem of leadership regeneration. So actions in the name of power, personal and group interests, with black campaigning behavior are not free to take advantage. Therefore, descriptive black campaigning in the frame of the Bible is a severe lesson regarding honesty and integrity of leadership, as well as being chivalrous to accept leadership calls naturally and based on the Bible. Christian leadership needs to see and study the historical story of Abslom's rebellion using the desire to rule over the kingdom with black campaign intrigue, which can be witnessed in 2 Samuel 15: 1-12. To bring out the value and essence of Christian leadership as a dedicated responsibility to be actualized. Therefore, Christian leadership reflects Absalom's leadership Against black campaigning as a theological study of equipping believers and Christian leadership to live righteously for this world.

Abstract

Transhumanism promises a life without limits, enhanced intelligence, and even immortality, increasingly influencing Generation Z's perspective in shaping their identity and spirituality. This study aims to analyze the influence of transhumanist narratives on Generation Z's worldview within the context of their identity as God's creation, and to develop relevant theological reflections to strengthen Generation Z's faith formation amid the challenges of digital culture and contemporary technological ideologies. A qualitative research method based on literature review was used in this study, exploring theological sources, the Bible as the primary source, books, articles, and internet websites. The results of the study indicate that transhumanism obscures the essence of humanity as God's creation, reduces spiritual identity to a mere technological enhancement project, and offers false salvation outside of Christ's redemptive work. Theological reflection rooted in the doctrines of creation, the incarnation of Christ, and the resurrection affirms that human identity is determined by one's relationship with God, not by technological autonomy. This study concludes that the church and Christian faith education must be present in a contextual and prophetic manner in guiding Generation Z to reject the transhumanist narrative and grow in true faith. AbstrakTranshumanisme menjanjikan kehidupan tanpa batas, peningkatan kecerdasan, dan bahkan keabadian, yang kian memengaruhi cara pandang Generasi Z dalam membentuk identitas diri dan spiritualitas mereka. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh narasi transhumanisme terhadap pola pikir Generasi Z dalam konteks identitasnya sebagai ciptaan Allah, serta menyusun refleksi teologis yang relevan untuk memperkuat formasi iman Generasi Z di tengah tantangan budaya digital dan ideologi teknologi masa kini. Metode penelitian kualitatif berbasis studi pustaka digunakan dalam penelitian ini dengan mengeksplorasi sumber-sumber teologi, Alkitab sumber utama, buku, artikel dan website internet. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa transhumanisme mengaburkan hakikat manusia sebagai ciptaan Allah, mereduksi identitas spiritual menjadi proyek peningkatan teknologis semata, dan menawarkan keselamatan palsu di luar karya penebusan Kristus. Refleksi teologis yang berakar pada doktrin penciptaan, inkarnasi Kristus, dan kebangkitan, menegaskan bahwa identitas manusia ditentukan oleh relasi dengan Allah, bukan oleh otonomi teknologi. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa gereja dan pendidikan iman Kristen harus hadir secara kontekstual dan profetis dalam membimbing Generasi Z agar mampu menolak narasi transhumanisme serta bertumbuh dalam iman yang sejati.Kata Kunci: Teknologi, Transhumanisme, Generasi Z, Imago Dei, Kristus

Abstract

The development of digital technology has significantly transformed communication patterns and church ministry. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of social media as an instrument of evangelism and to examine the ethical challenges emerging in the digital context. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method through literature analysis, national statistical data, and theological reflection grounded in Christian ethics. The findings reveal that social media is effective in expanding the reach of evangelism, yet simultaneously generates moral issues such as disinformation, hate speech, privacy violations, and digital fatigue. The novelty of this research lies in developing a four–pillar ethical framework for digital evangelism, content transparency, digital literacy, pastoral digital care, and community accountability contextualized for the Indonesian church in the 21st century. This framework not only addresses the practical needs of ministry in digital spaces but also contributes theoretically to digital theology by emphasizing the integration of media effectiveness and moral responsibility in contemporary evangelism.AbstrakPerkembangan teknologi digital telah membawa perubahan besar dalam pola komunikasi dan pelayanan gereja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas media sosial sebagai sarana penginjilan dan menelaah tantangan etis yang muncul dalam konteks digital. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan analisis literatur, data statistik nasional, serta refleksi teologis berdasarkan prinsip etika Kristen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media sosial terbukti efektif dalam memperluas jangkauan penginjilan, namun pada saat yang sama menimbulkan persoalan moral seperti disinformasi, ujaran kebencian, pelanggaran privasi, dan kelelahan digital. Kebaruan penelitian ini terletak pada pengembangan kerangka etika penginjilan digital berbasis empat pilar, transparansi konten, literasi digital, pastoral digital care, dan akuntabilitas komunitas yang kontekstual bagi gereja Indonesia abad ke-21. Kerangka ini tidak hanya menjawab kebutuhan praktis pelayanan di ruang digital, tetapi juga memberikan kontribusi teoretis terhadap pengembangan teologi digital yang menegaskan integrasi antara efektivitas media dan tanggung jawab moral dalam misi penginjilan masa kini.

Abstract

The life characteristics of the cell group leader are very important for the church because if the life characteristics of the cell group leader are not good, it will have a negative impact on the spiritual growth of the cell group members being shepherded. But the problem is why it is difficult for South Seoul to develop, some even go dormant or actually die, it really depends on the leader of the South Seoul. Therefore, it is hoped that church leaders can provide new work to answer this problem so that the cell can continue to develop and even multiply, so that the church will become stronger.  The method that will be used in writing this paper is a qualitative research method, with descriptive research stages using a library approach or literature study. The aim of this research is First, to find the characteristics of South Korean leaders according to 2 Timothy 2:22-25. Second, implementing the characteristics of leaders in the cell group at Eben Haezer Community Church, Semarang.

Abstract

Abstract: The background of this study stems from the phenomenon of declining spiritual discipline among congregations, where many Christians are active in ministry but lack diligence in prayer, Bible reading, and fellowship, resulting in suboptimal growth in faith. This condition is also evident in GPdI Rhema Tarakan, where some congregants are not consistent in practising spiritual discipline, which is the main foundation for maturity in faith and Christ-like character. This study aims to analyse the influence of spiritual discipline on the growth of faith among the congregation of GPdI Rhema Tarakan and to identify the most dominant aspects of spiritual discipline in supporting their growth in faith. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with a field study approach through interviews, observation, and documentation, as well as reinforcement from relevant literature reviews to obtain a deep and contextual understanding of the relationship between spiritual discipline and the growth of the congregation's faith. The results of the study show that spiritual discipline has a strong theological foundation and is the main means for the formation of mature faith in the life of the congregation. Consistent practices of spiritual discipline, such as prayer, reading the Word, and fellowship, have been proven to have a direct influence on the congregation's involvement in ministry and to foster the character of Christ in their daily lives. Thus, spiritual discipline not only strengthens individual faith growth, but also has significant implications for the holistic progress and growth of the local church. Abstrak: Latar belakang penelitian ini berangkat dari fenomena menurunnya disiplin rohani di kalangan jemaat, di mana banyak orang Kristen aktif dalam pelayanan namun kurang tekun dalam doa, pembacaan Alkitab, dan persekutuan, sehingga pertumbuhan iman tidak berkembang secara optimal. Kondisi ini juga terlihat di GPdI Rhema Tarakan, di mana sebagian jemaat belum konsisten menjalankan disiplin rohani yang menjadi fondasi utama bagi kedewasaan iman dan karakter Kristus. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis  disiplin rohani terhadap pertumbuhan iman jemaat GPdI Rhema Tarakan serta mengidentifikasi aspek disiplin rohani yang paling dominan dalam mendukung pertumbuhan iman mereka. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif, dengan pendekatan studi lapangan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi, serta penguatan dari kajian pustaka yang relevan untuk memperoleh pemahaman yang mendalam dan kontekstual mengenai hubungan antara disiplin rohani dan pertumbuhan iman jemaat.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa disiplin rohani memiliki landasan teologis yang kuat dan menjadi sarana utama bagi pembentukan iman yang dewasa dalam kehidupan jemaat. Praktik disiplin rohani yang konsisten, seperti doa, pembacaan Firman, dan persekutuan terbukti  memiliki keterlibatan jemaat dalam pelayanan serta menumbuhkan karakter Kristus yang nyata dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Dengan demikian, disiplin rohani tidak hanya memperkuat pertumbuhan iman individu, tetapi juga memberikan implikasi signifikan terhadap kemajuan dan pertumbuhan gereja lokal secara holistik

Abstract: The sandwich generation phenomenon refers to adults who are caught between the obligations of caring for their aging parents and raising their own children. This situation creates complex pressures, including financial, emotional, and social aspects. This article aims to examine the double burden faced by the sandwich generation from a Christian ethical perspective using a qualitative method based on a literature review. The Bible emphasizes the importance of honoring parents and the responsibility to raise children with love as fundamental principles in family life. Christian ethics provide a normative framework so that responsibilities toward parents and children are not viewed merely as a social burden, but as an expression of obedience to God. The principles of love, justice, stewardship, and Christian spirituality serve as a practical foundation for balancing roles in the nuclear family without neglecting intergenerational obligations. Thus, the application of Christian ethics is expected to help the sandwich generation live a more balanced, meaningful life in accordance with God's will.
