Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology in the 21st century has presented both opportunities and challenges for young people. Social media and mobile devices have become an integral part of their daily lives, but on the other hand, they have the potential to degrade the quality of face-to-face interactions. Education in the digital age needs to respond to these changes with relevant strategies so that the character building of young people is not neglected. The phenomenon of phubbing, which is the behaviour of ignoring others in direct interaction because of a greater focus on mobile phones, has an impact on the mental health, social relationships, and spirituality of adolescents. The purpose of this study is to examine the role of Christian Religious Education as an instrument for preventing phubbing behaviour through the instilling of values of love, empathy, and digital ethical awareness. The research method used a descriptive-analytical approach, concluding that phubbing is a behaviour of ignoring social interaction due to focus on digital devices, which can be prevented through the application of moral education. Moral education is an important foundation in shaping adolescents' awareness to avoid the negative impacts of phubbing on mental and spiritual health. In addition, Christian Religious Education teachers play a strategic role in instilling digital ethics, so that awareness and control of phubbing behaviour can be achieved. The novelty of this research lies in the integration of the concept of digital ethics with theological values in Christian Religious Education as a preventive approach to phubbing behaviour, which not only emphasises general morality but also the formation of spiritual and relational awareness in the use of digital technology. Abstrak Perkembangan teknologi digital yang sangat pesat pada abad ke-21 telah menghadirkan peluang sekaligus tantangan bagi kehidupan remaja. Media sosial dan perangkat gawai menjadi bagian yang tidak terpisahkan dari keseharian mereka, namun di sisi lain memunculkan potensi degradasi kualitas interaksi tatap muka. Pendidikan di era digital perlu merespons perubahan ini dengan strategi yang relevan agar pembentukan karakter remaja tidak terabaikan. Fenomena  phubbing sebagai perilaku mengabaikan orang lain dalam interaksi langsung karena lebih fokus pada ponsel, yang berdampak pada kesehatan mental dan relasi sosial serta spiritualitas remaja. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji peran Pendidikan Agama Kristen sebagai instrumen pencegahan perilaku phubbing melalui penanaman nilai-nilai kasih, empati, dan kesadaran etis digital. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif-analitis maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa phubbing merupakan perilaku mengabaikan interaksi sosial akibat fokus pada perangkat digital yang dapat dicegah melalui penerapan pendidikan moral. Pendidikan moral menjadi dasar penting dalam membentuk kesadaran remaja agar terhindar dari dampak negatif phubbing terhadap kesehatan mental dan spiritual. Selain itu, guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen memegang peran strategis dalam menanamkan etika digital, sehingga kesadaran dan pengendalian perilaku phubbing dapat tercapai. Kebaruan penelitian ini terletak pada integrasi konsep etika digital dengan nilai-nilai teologis dalam Pendidikan Agama Kristen sebagai pendekatan preventif terhadap perilaku phubbing, yang tidak hanya menekankan aspek moralitas umum tetapi juga pembentukan kesadaran spiritual dan relasional dalam penggunaan teknologi digital.

Abstract

Tolerance is very important for being together in a pluralistic society, there are incidents of intolerance that occur and there is a radical understanding of religion that does not uphold harmony. Creating horizontal conflicts that are very detrimental to society and the nation. From these problems, the writer uses literature research method with descriptive quantitative approach to answer the role of believers in fostering an attitude of harmony as part of deradicalization which aims to make Christians aware of the importance of maintaining harmony and peace in society as an important part of deradicalization. The conclusion from the discussion of this article is that believers must have an understanding that tolerance is part of the nation and state, so that an attitude will emerge to foster harmony as a spirit of peace. Then the role of Christians in being tolerant is made deradicalisation of the importance of living in multiculturalism. Because harmony becomes the unifying pillar in a plural society, in a beloved country. So that this research can provide insights and attitudes that promote harmony in society as part of deradicalization for the nation and state.

Abstract

Digital transformation has significantly altered worship practices within church life, particularly in the way congregants express their faith and participate in worship. Advances in communication technology have driven a shift from physical worship towards more flexible virtual spaces. These changes call for deep theological reflection to ensure that worship practices remain rooted in the essential principles of the Christian faith. The phenomenon of the increasing use of social media in church worship indicates that the digital space has become an integral part of the congregation’s spiritual life. Online worship through live streams, spiritual content, and digital interaction significantly expands the reach of the church’s ministry. However, this phenomenon also presents challenges in the form of distractions, a decline in the quality of engagement, and a tendency towards a consumerist approach to worship. The research findings indicate that digital worship retains its theological legitimacy as long as the relationship of faith, active participation, and orientation towards God are maintained. Furthermore, social media serves as a strategic tool for expanding ministry and building an inclusive community of faith. However, an adaptive pastoral approach is required to preserve the spiritual depth of the congregation. This study aims to analyse the transformation of participation and spiritual experience in digital worship practices from a theological perspective. The method employed is a qualitative approach through a literature review. In conclusion, digital transformation presents both opportunities and challenges for the church in maintaining a balance between innovation and the theological essence of worship. The church is called upon to develop strategies that are contextual and rooted in faith. Thus, digital worship can become an effective means for spiritual growth and the expansion of the church’s ministry.

Abstract

Kecanggihan teknologi dan informasi yang kian masif hadir untuk memanjakan dan membantu manusia melakukan tugasnya dengan mudah, namun ketergantungan atau kecanduan akan gadget memicu timbulnya karakter baru dalam masyarakat. Salah satu karakter baru yang muncul di era teknologi ini yaitu phubbing. Tujuan penulisan Artikel ini, agar umat Tuhan dapat memahami pentingnya sikap menghargai dalam komunikasi. Dan prilaku tersebut dapat merusak hubungan. Menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi literatur dan wawancara maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa kekristenan harus mengetahui hakikat dan definisi phubbing dan dampaknya, dimana Phubbing merupakan perilaku kurang peduli dianggap sebagai perilaku anti-sosial yang dapat merusak hubungan sosial dan kesehatan mental. Maka orang Kristen dapat menggunakan prinsip-prinsip Alkitab untuk membimbing perilaku dan interaksi dengan orang lain, termasuk penggunaan teknologi dan memberikan pengajaran pendidikan Kristen terkait menghormati dan menempatkan skala prioritas dalam peribadatan. Phubbing dan anti sosial dalam perspektif etis teologis dapat dianggap sebagai perilaku yang mereduksi anti-sosial dalam masyarakat. Oleh karena itu, menghindari phubbing dapat membantu meningkatkan kualitas hubungan sosial dan mengurangi dampak negatif dari kebiasaan ini pada kesehatan mental. Maka aktualisasi dari peran gereja dalam mereduksi anti sosial dapat dilakukan dengan berbagai cara untuk menghindari sikap dan prilaku phubbing.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the ethical paradigm and the role of the Christian Religious Education teacher profession in addressing identity politics with ethical actions in an effort to reduce superiority. The ethical attitude and professionalism of Christian Religious Education teachers play an important role in educating and instilling Christian values in students. So that it can reduce the superiority in identity politics that often occurs in community groups. Identity politics occurs when minority identity groups are excluded from majority identity groups. Therefore, through this research, the author conveys that through the ethical paradigm and the teaching profession of Christian Religious Education, it will actually help efforts in reducing the superiority of identity politics. Using a descriptive qualitative method with a literature study approach, it can be concluded that the indicators of the paradigm and nature of ethics, as well as the role of the Christian Religious Education teacher presented in this study can assist the reader in understanding how the ethics and profession of Christian Religious Education teachers for the ethical attitude of identity politics in attempts to reduce superiority.

Abstract

In the era of globalization and digitalization, the massive amount of information and religious content challenges the church and Christianity. The understanding of truth distorted by heretics who teach heretical teachings in the contemporary era is increasingly complex, threatening the stability of society, the harmony of the Body of Christ, as well as the foundation of religious belief and individual spirituality. The purpose of this paper emphasizes that the church can maintain the unity and integrity of the Christian faith and protect its congregation from destructive and misleading influences. Using a descriptive qualitative method with a literature study approach, it can be concluded that the theological challenge of Christianity in understanding and overcoming heretics who teach heresies in the contemporary era. In theological challenges in understanding and overcoming contemporary heresies as a review of spiritual reality and the role of the church. That is, the church and Christianity can analyze and understand the nature of contemporary heresy. Where heresy in a theological perspective on spiritual reality can have an impact on Christianity. so it is hoped that the role of the church in actualizing and the role of the church in overcoming heresy and providing in- depth education for church members.

Abstract

Project-Based Learning in christian religious education is an innovative approach that is very effective in significantly improving student learning achievement. This method is used to encourage students to be actively involved in the learning process by using religious concepts with real projects in daily life. The purpose of this study is to explore the impact of the PBP model on students' understanding and skills in Christian Religious Education. Through the implementation of Project-Based Learning. Therefore, it can be concluded that the PBP strategy encourages students to be able to work together in groups and create relevant product results that are in accordance with Christian values, so that it can be said to be an effective alternative in Christian Religious Education which not only focuses on material understanding but also understanding in the formation of relevant holistic character and skills of students so that students become more interested. enthusiastic and enthusiastic in learning. The purpose of this study is to provide a deeper understanding and understanding of this Project-Based Learning method, the hope for teachers and educators to be able to design and design activities that are effective, fun and inspiring in supporting the development of students' spirituality in the context of Christianity.

Abstract

Pluralistic and dynamic national life is related to the relationship between Christian faith and Pancasila values. This has an impact on leadership, which experiences complex ethical and spiritual tensions. Moral shifts and the weakening of public leaders' integrity indicate a dissonance between religious values and national spirit. Meanwhile, Christian theology is often perceived as purely spiritual, without active involvement in social and national spheres. The phenomenon of increasing identity fragmentation and moral crisis among Christian leaders emphasises the importance of reconstructing a theological basis that can integrate faith and nationalism into a single, comprehensive ethical horizon. This study aims to reinterpret Pancasila as a space for theological dialogue that shapes Christian leadership based on theological ethics for the reintegration of faith and national identity. Using qualitative methods with a literature study approach, it was concluded that Pancasila has the potential as a theological and ethical space that enables Christian leadership rooted in the values of justice and humanity. Theological ethics has proven to be a moral foundation that guides Christian leaders to integrate faith with social and national responsibilities. Thus, Pancasila-based Christian leadership serves as a means of reintegrating faith and national identity in the praxis of Indonesian public life.AbstrakKehidupan berbangsa yang plural dan dinamis, terkait relasi antara iman Kristen dan nilai-nilai Pancasila. Berdampak pada kepemimpinan yang mengalami ketegangan etis dan spiritual yang kompleks. Pergeseran moral dan melemahnya integritas pemimpin publik menunjukkan terjadinya disonansi antara nilai-nilai iman dan semangat kebangsaan. Sementara itu, teologi Kristen kerap dipersepsikan hanya bersifat spiritual, tanpa keterlibatan aktif dalam ruang sosial dan nasional. Fenomena meningkatnya fragmentasi identitas dan krisis moral di kalangan pemimpin Kristen menegaskan pentingnya rekonstruksi basis teologis yang mampu mengintegrasikan iman dan nasionalisme dalam satu horizon etis yang utuh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menafsirkan kembali Pancasila sebagai ruang dialog teologis yang membentuk  kepemimpinan Kristen berbasis etika teologis bagi reintegrasi iman dan identitas kebangsaan. Menggunkan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi literature maka disimpulkan bahwa bahwa Pancasila memiliki potensi sebagai ruang teologis dan etis yang memampukan kepemimpinan Kristen berakar pada nilai-nilai keadilan dan kemanusiaan. Etika teologis terbukti menjadi fondasi moral yang menuntun pemimpin Kristen untuk mengintegrasikan iman dengan tanggung jawab sosial dan kebangsaan. Dengan demikian, kepemimpinan Kristen berbasis Pancasila berperan sebagai sarana reintegrasi iman dan identitas kebangsaan dalam praksis kehidupan publik Indonesia.

Abstract

Perdebatan mengenai asal-usul manusia antara pandangan teologis Alkitab dan teori evolusi Darwin masih menjadi isu menarik hingga saat ini, terutama dengan adanya perkembangan ilmu kedokteran modern dan genetika yang menunjukkan kedekatan biologis antara manusia dan primata. Namun, kajian teologis yang menghubungkan perspektif Alkitab, khususnya Mazmur 139:13, dengan temuan ilmu kedokteran modern dan genetika masih sangat terbatas, sehingga diperlukan telaah mendalam untuk menjembatani kedua perspektif tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis proses kejadian manusia berdasarkan hermeneutik biblika Mazmur 139:13 dalam perspektif teologis kedokteran modern dan ilmu genetika. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi hermeneutik biblika dengan pendekatan teologis kedokteran modern dan analisis genetika untuk memahami makna penciptaan manusia secara holistik.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses kejadian manusia dalam Mazmur 139:13 sejalan dengan ilmu kedokteran modern, khususnya dalam embriogenesis yang menggambarkan Allah “menenun” manusia melalui mekanisme genetik yang sangat kompleks dan teratur. Analisis terhadap kata qanah, cakak, dan kilyah memperlihatkan hubungan antara penciptaan jasmani, jiwa, dan roh manusia yang mencerminkan karya Allah secara holistik. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa manusia diciptakan unik menurut gambar dan rupa Allah, bukan hasil evolusi dari makhluk lain, serta memperkaya pemahaman teologis kedokteran tentang asal-usul dan hakikat manusia.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has significantly transformed communication patterns and church ministry. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of social media as an instrument of evangelism and to examine the ethical challenges emerging in the digital context. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method through literature analysis, national statistical data, and theological reflection grounded in Christian ethics. The findings reveal that social media is effective in expanding the reach of evangelism, yet simultaneously generates moral issues such as disinformation, hate speech, privacy violations, and digital fatigue. The novelty of this research lies in developing a four–pillar ethical framework for digital evangelism, content transparency, digital literacy, pastoral digital care, and community accountability contextualized for the Indonesian church in the 21st century.
