Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi operasional pada usaha Mie Ayam Pangsit Semox di Kota Sukabumi melalui perancangan ulang tata letak fasilitas produksi. Masalah utama yang ditemukan adalah alur kerja yang belum teratur, jarak perpindahan bahan yang tidak efisien, serta ruang makan pelanggan yang terasa sempit karena penataan meja yang terlalu rapat. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan campuran dengan menggabungkan analisis kuantitatif berupa pengukuran jarak perpindahan bahan dan waktu produksi, serta analisis kualitatif melalui observasi langsung dan wawancara dengan pemilik maupun karyawan. Evaluasi hubungan kedekatan antar aktivitas dilakukan menggunakan metode Activity Relationship Chart (ARC), sedangkan Total Closeness Rating (TCR) digunakan untuk menilai tingkat efisiensi kedekatan fasilitas secara numerik. Hasil analisis menunjukkan perlunya penyesuaian posisi meja pelanggan, gerobak, dapur, dan gudang untuk memperbaiki aliran proses dan memisahkan area operasional dari area pelanggan. Rancangan tata letak usulan terbukti mampu memperbaiki keteraturan alur kerja, mempercepat proses pelayanan, dan meningkatkan kenyamanan pelanggan karena aktivitas produksi tidak lagi terlihat secara langsung. Dengan demikian, penerapan metode ARC dan TCR dinilai efektif untuk menghasilkan tata letak yang lebih efisien dan mendukung peningkatan produktivitas usaha kuliner skala kecil.

Abstract

PT Mandiri Banana Indonesia still requires further development and arrangement of its layout and facilities to enhance the efficient and optimal use of land. This study aims to determine whether the existing layout at PT Mandiri Banana Indonesia is effective in supporting operational flow and the uninterrupted progression of the production process. The research adopts a quantitative descriptive approach, which is used to measure the correlation between activities through the Activity Relationship Chart (ARC) and Total Closeness Rating (TCR) methods. These methods enable the analysis to be presented in a measurable and objective manner as a basis for improving the facility layout. This study proposes a new layout design for the main production area and supporting facilities. The proposed layout is based on the results of ARC and TCR analyses, which indicate several critical spatial interrelationships among the facilities. Based on the findings and discussion regarding the application of the Activity Relationship Chart (ARC) and Total Closeness Rating (TCR) in designing the facility layout at PT Mandiri Banana Indonesia, it may be inferred that layout improvement exerts a significant impact on enhancing workflow efficiency and the overall work environment. The proposed alternative layout is expected to achieve a safer, more hygienic, and more productive spatial arrangement by establishing a clear separation between the production zone, administrative zone, and supporting areas.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the supply chain at Coffee Shop Ordinary in Sukabumi and identify waste in the business process. The method used is a qualitative approach with Value Stream Mapping (VSM) as the main analytical tool. The object of the study is Coffee Shop Ordinary, a business that has been operating for 29 years and serves students in Sukabumi. Data were collected through semi-structured. Observations, operational document analysis, and semi-structured interviews. The results of the value stream mapping indicate that the total lead time is approximately 45 minutes per order, consisting of 5 minutes of waiting time, 20 minutes of added activities (VA), such as preparing and serving coffee, and 20 minutes of non-added activities (NVA), which include order queues and equipment setup. Process Cycle Efficiency (PCE) was calculated at 44%, which indicates that Coffee Shop Ordinary's supply chain management is still below the ideal target of approximately 60% for a cafe business, so there is an opportunity for lean improvement

Abstract

The development of value-added corn-based beverages representation an emerging opportunity within the agribusiness sector, particularly for student-led entrepreneurial initiatives seeking to utilize local agricultural resources. This study examines consumer perceptions of Zeagrain corn milk, a sweet-corn-derived drink positioned as a healthy, practical, and affordable alternative within the ready-to-drink market segment. The research aims to identify key attributes influencing consumer interest, evaluate perceived product performance, and assess the potential competitiveness of Zeagrain as a new agribusiness product. Data were collected using an online quantitative survey targeting respondents aged 17–35 years who represent potential urban consumers. The questionnaire measured demographic characteristics, consumption patterns of similar beverages, perceived importance and performance of product attributes, and purchase intention. The findings are expected to provide insights into consumer expectations regarding taste, packaging, nutritional value, and price. The results further serve as empirical input for improving product development strategies and enhancing the market readiness of Zeagrain. Ultimately, this study contributes to strengthening the commercialization prospects of corn-based beverages and supports innovation efforts among young agripreneurs seeking to optimize local commodities.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis tata letak eksisting Shodai Ramen Sukabumi dan mengusulkan alternatif tata letak yang optimal guna meningkatkan efisiensi operasional. Permasalahan utama adalah inefisiensi alur kerja, khususnya jarak perpindahan staf yang cukup jauh antar area tertentu, dan kepadatan di area pelayanan sehingga berpotensi memperlambat waktu tunggu pesanan. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Populasi yang diteliti adalah seluruh fasilitas di tiga lantai Shodai Ramen, sampel meliputi 17 fasilitas utama yang memiliki keterkaitan operasional. Instrumen utama melalui observasi langsung, wawancara terstruktur dengan manajer operasional, dan data kuantitatif frekuensi hubungan antar aktivitas. Data diolah menggunakan dua metode, yaitu Activity Relation Chart (ARC) untuk menilai derajat kedekatan kualitatif dan Total Closeness Rating (TCR) mengkuantifikasi bobot prioritas penempatan fasilitas. Hasil perhitungan menunjukkan bahwa pantry 2 dan area makan 2 merupakan fasilitas dengan nilai TCR tertinggi sehingga mutlak untuk ditempatkan berdekatan. Solusi tata letak usulan yang diberikan dengan menempatkan fasilitas berprioritas tinggi, seperti bar dan kitchen sink agar berdekatan dengan pantry dan area makan, sehingga diharapkan dapat mengurangi jarak perpindahan staf dan mempercepat waktu pelayanan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis efektivitas pengendalian persediaan kedelai di Rumah Tempe Indonesia (RTI), yang saat ini masih menggunakan sistem pemesanan konvensional tanpa dasar perhitungan matematis. Kebijakan tersebut menimbulkan masalah berupa frekuensi pemesanan yang sangat tinggi (48 kali per tahun), pembelian dalam jumlah kecil (10 ton per pesanan), serta total biaya persediaan yang membengkak hingga Rp73.168.750 per tahun. Untuk mengatasi ketidakefisienan ini, penelitian menerapkan metode Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) dan Period Order Quantity (POQ) menggunakan data primer hasil wawancara dan perhitungan kebutuhan, biaya pesan, dan biaya simpan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa EOQ menetapkan kuantitas optimal 78,5 ton dengan frekuensi 6 kali per tahun dan biaya persediaan Rp18.339.687,5, sedangkan POQ menghasilkan kuantitas 80 ton dengan biaya Rp18.350.000. Kedua metode mampu menurunkan biaya persediaan lebih dari 75% dibandingkan kebijakan RTI saat ini, sehingga penerapannya penting untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan efektivitas pengendalian persediaan kedelai di RTI.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and design the facility layout of Dev Bakery & Pizza to improve operational efficiency and space utilization. The research applies the Activity Relationship Chart (ARC) method to identify the level of inter-area relationships and the Total Closeness Rating (TCR) to determine the priority of operational connections between facilities. Based on the result, the dining area and product shelf obtained the highest TCR values, indicating their crucial role as central activity zones that support smooth workflow. An optimized layout design can enhance spatial efficiency, streamline material and labor movement, and strengthen interactions between employees and customers, thereby improving overall operational effectiveness.

Abstract

Facility layout efficiency is pivotal for the operational performance of PT Lembur Hejo’s hydroponic agribusiness. This study evaluates the effectiveness of the existing layout to identify workflow inefficiencies using a descriptive quantitative approach. Utilizing the Activity Relationship Chart (ARC) and Total Closeness Rating (TCR), functional relationships were mapped and prioritized. The results stratified facilities into three clusters: core production (TCR 176) as the highest priority, followed by employee support (TCR 80), and administrative facilities. While the analysis validated the efficiency of the production zone, it revealed a significant spatial dissonance regarding support facilities (office, dormitory, restrooms), which are currently misaligned with their functional priorities. Conclusively, this study demonstrates the efficacy of ARC/TCR in detecting latent inefficiencies beyond the core production area.

Abstract

This study analyzes the development strategy of PT Tumbuh Bersama Soyanara, a fresh soy milk distributor operating through a mobile partnership model, using SWOT analysis integrated with IFE-EFE-IE matrices. A qualitative single case study approach was employed, involving in-depth interviews with the CEO/Founder, three-day participatory observation of five partners’ operations, and internal document analysis. The findings reveal that the company is positioned in Cell V (Hold and Maintain) of the IE Matrix (IFE score 2.34; EFE score 2.43), indicating that internal weaknesses—manual recording systems, weak FIFO enforcement causing 8–12% waste, managerial response delays, and service quality inconsistencies—have not been adequately offset by institutional strengths. In response, a three-phase strategic framework is proposed: (1) operational excellence through digital transformation (months 0–6), (2) intensive market penetration via B2B partnerships and product portfolio optimization (months 6–12), and (3) customer intelligence leveraging habit-based personalization and payday-optimized bundling (months 12–24). Digital infrastructure functions as a governance mechanism that reduces information asymmetry and agency costs, thereby transforming operational weaknesses into sustainable competitive advantages.

Abstract

Manajemen persediaan merupakan elemen krusial dalam manajemen rantai pasok yang bertujuan menjaga ketersediaan bahan baku dalam jumlah yang tepat dengan biaya serendah mungkin. Ketidaktepatan dalam pengendalian persediaan dapat menimbulkan pemborosan biaya, penurunan kualitas bahan baku, serta hambatan dalam proses produksi. Kedai Teh Laresolo sebagai usaha kecil berbasis minuman teh di Kota Bogor menghadapi tantangan dalam menjaga ketersediaan bahan baku yang mudah rusak dan fluktuatif mengikuti musim. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis penerapan metode Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) untuk menentukan jumlah pemesanan bahan baku yang optimal pada setiap siklus pengadaan sehingga kebutuhan produksi terpenuhi secara efisien, biaya persediaan dapat ditekan, dan risiko kerusakan bahan baku dapat diminimalkan. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif melalui analisis data historis pembelian, konsumsi bahan baku, biaya pemesanan, biaya penyimpanan, serta observasi langsung aktivitas operasional. Perhitungan EOQ dilakukan menggunakan rumus klasik Wilson Formula untuk memperoleh ukuran pesanan optimal, frekuensi pemesanan, serta estimasi total biaya persediaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan metode EOQ mampu menurunkan total biaya persediaan dibandingkan pola pemesanan sebelumnya yang tidak terstruktur. EOQ memberikan ukuran pesanan yang paling ekonomis, menekan biaya penyimpanan, serta mengurangi kejadian kelebihan stok yang berpotensi menimbulkan kerusakan bahan baku. Selain itu, metode ini memastikan bahan baku tersedia tepat waktu sehingga proses produksi berjalan stabil. Secara keseluruhan, penerapan EOQ terbukti efektif dan relevan dalam meningkatkan efisiensi pengendalian bahan baku pada Kedai Teh Laresolo serta dapat dijadikan acuan bagi usaha kecil dan menengah dalam industri minuman alami.
