Abstract

The rapid digital transformation and growing popularity of cryptocurrencies have reshaped investment behavior worldwide, particularly in emerging economies where access to digital assets is expanding alongside financial literacy challenges. This study aimed to systematically examine the influence of knowledge, experience, risk tolerance, and peer influence on individual interest in investing in crypto assets within the cryptocurrency community in Palembang City. This study employed a causal associative approach with a quantitative approach. Data collection was conducted by distributing questionnaires to 225 participants, identified based on research criteria and representing members of the crypto community. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with the assistance of SmartPLS software version 4.1.0.9. The analysis findings indicate that, partially, the variables knowledge, experience, and peer influence significantly influence interest in investing in cryptocurrency. Meanwhile, risk tolerance did not have a significant effect. A simultaneous review of all four variables demonstrated a strong statistical relationship with an individual’s interest in investing. The findings of this study align with the concept of the theory of planned behavior, which theoretically emphasizes that attitudes, subjective norms, and perceptions of self-control play a key role in shaping an individual’s interest in taking a particular action.

Abstract

Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of academic procrastination, which is still widely practiced by seventh grade students at SMPN 1 Ranah Batahan, such as postponing assignments, not doing homework, and submitting assignments late. The objectives of this study were to determine (1) the level of academic procrastination among students, (2) their learning outcomes, and (3) the effect of academic procrastination on learning outcomes. This study used a quantitative approach with a simple linear regression method. The population and sample in this study were 50 students (total sampling). The instrument used was a questionnaire, and the data were analyzed using percentages and simple linear regression. The results showed that (1) academic procrastination was in the high category, (2) learning outcomes (second-semester math test scores) were in the low category, and (3) there was a significant effect of academic procrastination on learning outcomes of 29.7%. This means that the higher the academic procrastination, the lower the learning outcomes. These findings provide an important basis for schools in designing strategies to reduce procrastination to improve learning outcomes. Keywords: Academic procrastination, learning outcomes, students

Abstract

This study aims to examine the extent to which the use of cultural exhibition media influences students' knowledge of South Sumatra's cultural heritage. The study was conducted on fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 232 Palembang, using a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method and a non-equivalent control group design. The subjects of the study consisted of two classes: an experimental class that received learning treatment using cultural exhibition media, and a control class that used digital media. The research instrument was a knowledge test in the form of a pretest and posttest. The results of the analysis showed that there was a significant change in the experimental class, with an average pretest score of 44.00 which became 93.80 in the posttest. In contrast, the control class experienced a change from 46.36 to 69.31. These findings indicate that cultural exhibition media can be an effective alternative learning media in fostering students' understanding of local cultural richness. The implications of this study encourage the use of media based on direct experience in local content learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

Background: The service aims to reduce the incidence of dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) through basic training of Jumantik cadres using simple educational materials (Ovitrap) in Bungoro District, Pankep Regency. Methods: The target of this service consisted of students of Pangkep Regency, Bungoro District, precisely at SDN 33 Jollo and SMPN 5 SATAP Bungoro. The sample of this study consisted of students aged between 9 and 15 years and totaled 26 students. Findings: The results of this service were 3 participants (11.5%) who experienced an increase in knowledge from pre-test to post-test. In 23 participants (88.5%), there was no increase or decrease in pre-test and post-test scores. Even if knowledge increases, according to the Wilcoxon test, the p-value of 0.083 is greater than 0.05 so it can be concluded that Ha is rejected and H0 is accepted. Conclusion: There is no significant difference in improvement, pre-test and post-test knowledge can be classified as good, depending on the ability of students to apply Ovitrap production in the classroom.

Abstract

This community engagement program aims to enhance the efficiency of working capital management among food and beverage vendors operating around Lapangan Pancasila Palopo. Efficient working capital management is essential for maintaining business continuity, sustaining daily operations, and improving profitability, especially for micro and small enterprises with limited financial resources. The program focused on three key components of working capital: inventory control, cash flow optimization, and the management of accounts receivable and payable. Through socialization activities, mentoring, and the establishment of a task force, participants were introduced to practical approaches such as the First In, First Out (FIFO) method, Just in Time (JIT) purchasing, negotiation strategies with suppliers, and the adoption of basic financial technology tools, including point-of-sale systems and simple accounting applications. The results demonstrate an increased understanding among vendors regarding cost efficiency, inventory planning, and the importance of disciplined financial recording. Vendors also reported improvements in cash flow stability, reduced operational waste, and better allocation of resources for both short-term and long-term needs. Furthermore, the program strengthened their ability to maintain product quality and price competitiveness, ultimately enhancing business sustainability. Overall, this activity provided significant benefits by equipping vendors with practical skills and strategies to manage working capital more effectively and to improve their resilience in a highly competitive market.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of balanced nutrition education on stunting prevention efforts among early childhood learners in a Kindergarten setting. A mixed-methods approach was employed, integrating both qualitative and quantitative data to obtain comprehensive and reliable findings. The research subjects consisted of 15 children, including 5 boys and 10 girls. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using complementary qualitative and quantitative techniques. The results show that the overall achievement of balanced nutritional eating patterns reached 100%. Furthermore, the average score of children’s balanced nutrition eating behavior was 41.5%, categorized as “developing as expected” (BSH). These findings indicate that balanced nutrition education has a significant positive effect on stunting prevention efforts among early childhood learners aged 4–6 years in the Kindergarten context. The study suggests that early and consistent nutrition education should be integrated into school programs as well as family involvement activities to strengthen stunting prevention initiatives. Future research is recommended to include larger participant groups and utilize longitudinal approaches to examine long-term changes in children’s nutritional behaviors.

Abstract

This study explores the crucial role of parents and the family environment in shaping children's character from an early age, particularly through the integration of Islamic values. Many parents lack an understanding of child psychological development and often underestimate the importance of early education, delegating the responsibility to others. However, early childhood is a critical period for personality and moral development. Using a literature review method, this research emphasizes the necessity of a holistic and continuous character-building approach, involving family education, school, and extracurricular activities. Core Islamic principles tauhid (monotheism), akhlaq (noble character), and obedience serve as the foundation for developing strong moral character. Effective character education combines habituation, instruction, and mentoring, with parental role-modeling as a key factor. Early and consistent character education fosters children who are spiritually intelligent, morally upright, and socially responsible. Instilling positive values within the family and surrounding environment forms the essential groundwork for raising individuals with strong moral integrity and social resilience.
