Abstract

In some cases of dead victims, the doctor is expected to be able to estimate the manner of death and other factors that have contributed to the death. One way to get a more systematic analysis of the probable causes of death is to examine how many different organs weigh.  Assessment of the weight of this organ is needed to determine whether the internal organs are at average weight. This study aims to assess the weight profile of the autopsied kidney at Bhayangkara Hospital Pekanbaru for 2016-2021. The research design used was a retrospective descriptive of Visum et Repertum (VeR) data on autopsied death victims at Bhayangkara Hospital Pekanbaru for the 2016-2022 period. The results of this research are that the number of cases of victims who died at autopsy was 163 cases, with a weight of 110.84 grams in the left kidney and 108.15 grams in the right kidney. The sex that performed the most autopsy was male, namely 122 cases with an average weight of the left kidney of 116.15 grams and 112.18 grams of the right. The age range is 26-45 years, with the left kidney weighing 111.31 grams and 109.30 grams of the right kidney.

Abstract

Stunting is a chronic nutritional disorder that causes children's height growth to be inappropriate for their age. This linear growth disorder is caused by a chronic lack of nutritional intake, especially during the First 1000 Days of Life (HPK) which starts from the time of conception until the child is 2 years old and/or due to repeated chronic infections. The factor of poor nutritional intake during pregnancy is related to the baby's low birth weight so that the baby can experience malnutrition from the womb until birth. The aim of the activity is to optimize the prevention of stunting in toddlers through counseling and training for cadres in Desa Hangtuah, Kec. Perhentian Raja, Kab. Kampar. The methods used are discussion, compression and simulation starting from the preparation stage, creating educational media such as posters and banners, counseling and simulating the use of anthropometric kits. The results obtained from activities can increase participants' knowledge and skills. It is hoped that with this activity participants can pass on the information obtained to other Hangtuah Village communities so that they can prevent stunting as early as possible.

Abstract

The development of elderly health programs is aimed at achieving Healthy, Independent, Active and Productive (SMART) Elderly, so as to maintain their mental, psychosocial and spiritual health. The lowest elderly data in utilizing Elderly Health Services in the working area of the Indragiri Hilir Regency Health Center is the Sungai Salak Health Center with 96 elderly (17.329%). The purpose of the study is to analyze policies, human resources, facilities, and financing for the implementation of the SMART Elderly Program in the Sungai Salak Health Center Working Area. This type of research is qualitative, descriptive, with a case study design. The research location is in the Working Area of the Sungai Salak Health Center, Indragiri Hilir Regency. The research period is January to August 2023. The informants consisted of 5 main informants (Elderly Program Holders at the Community Health Center and 4 Pustu Responsible Persons), and 4 supporting informants (Head of Puskesmas, Elderly Program Holders at the Health Office and 2 Elderly people). Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews, observations and document review. Data validity is done by triangulation of sources, methods, and data. The result of this study is that the SMART Elderly Program has not been running, which is running only for the Healthy Elderly and even then only the activities of the Elderly Posyandu. It is expected that the Community Health Center coordinates with Cross Sectors to make activities related to the Elderly Healthy, Independent, Active and Productive.Keywords: Integrated service post for the Elderly, Sungai Salak community health center, and SMART Elderly Program

Abstract

Occupational safety and health (K3) is a protective effort given to workers so that they are always in good health and provide safety in carrying out work activities and provide a sense of comfort to everyone who enters the workplace. The purpose of this study is to analyze the Implementation of of the implementation of the K3 program at the Madani Regional Hospital of Pekanbaru City in 2021. This study used a qualitative research method through in-depth interviews, observation and document review with 8 research informants, which were determined by purposive sampling. The results obtained are that the current human resources K3 of the Hospital are not sufficient, the infrastructure and K3 budget are inadequate, risk management has not been implemented, health services have not been carried out thoroughly, the management of toxic hazardous materials (B3) is not optimal, prevention and fire control and preparedness for emergency or disaster conditions have not been implemented because K3 officers also have responsibilities in other fields of work. The conclusion of this study is that the application of K3 at the Madani Regional Hospital of Pekanbaru City has not gone well. It is recommended to the hospital management to increase human resources K3 of the Hospital in accordance with the K3 educational background, complete the K3 facilities and infrastructure, allocate a special budget for the K3 program, carry out risk management, provide comprehensive occupational health services, carry out management according to standards, and carry out prevention and comprehensive fire and emergency control.

Abstract

Sexual violence is a global issue affecting individuals regardless of their relationship to the perpetrator or the setting. Microscopic examination of spermatozoa from vaginal swabs is crucial in investigating cases of sexual intercourse to determine the time of the crime. Factors such as vaginal pH and neutrophil count influence the motility and persistence of spermatozoa in the vagina, particularly in conditions like candidiasis, highlighting the need for further research in this area. This study aimed to determine the effect of pH and neutrophil count on the motility and persistence of spermatozoa in the vagina with candidiasis. An experimental study was conducted using white rats (Rattus norvegicus) of the Wistar strain, with four male rats providing spermatozoa samples and 32 female rats receiving treatment. The female rats were divided into two groups: the normal group and the candidiasis model group. In both groups, the female rats were given vaginal insemination of spermatozoa. Variables measured included pH, neutrophil count, motility, and persistence of spermatozoa in the vagina. Data were analyzed using the Mann-Whitney test, followed by the Spearman correlation test. The findings revealed that spermatozoa motility lasted up to three minutes in normal rats, whereas in the candidiasis model, it was reduced to two minutes. Additionally, spermatozoa persistence in the vagina lasted up to six days in the normal group compared to up to three days in the candidiasis model. There were significant differences in pH, neutrophil count, motility, and persistence of spermatozoa in the vagina between the normal group and the candidiasis model (all had p<0.001). There was a correlation between pH and neutrophil count with the motility and persistence of spermatozoa in the rat’s vagina (p<0.001). In conclusion, vaginal pH and neutrophil count influence the motility and persistence of spermatozoa in the vagina of candidiasis rat models.

Abstract

The world of education is currently developing very rapidly. In this rapid development, along with the development of technology and information that occurs. This very diverse technology and information requires quality improvements and mechanisms for the service sector to be more efficient, so that the Human Resources (HR) that have been produced from the world of education can make a contribution to the process of building the outside world in accordance with their expertise. When the data processing and academic data information system is running, it is still done manually so that it is possible to cause efficiency problems with time in the data processing process. To overcome these problems MI Miftahuddiniyah requires a web-based academic information system. The goal is to minimize errors and provide convenience to the school academics in processing data. The development method used in this information system is using the waterfall method, where the steps of this method begin with an analysis of system requirements, and continue with material collection, design, manufacture, testing (redesign if not appropriate) and system application. The results of this study are in the form of a website for the MI Miftahuddiniyah Academic Information System. The development of this Academic Information System is made in a web-based application that can make it easier for admins to process report data management, minimize errors and data loss because the processed data is stored in the database, and can speed up the process of inputting student grade data. Abstract

Indonesia's infant mortality rate is still relatively high when compared to other countries in Southeast Asia. This is caused by many things, including inadequate health facilities for underprivileged communities in rural areas. One solution that can be done is to make incubator equipment that is simple but reliable enough so that it can be loaned out for free to underprivileged families in need. Mini Factory for Portable Incubator is a fabrication activity carried out at the USK Mechanical Engineering Department that aims to produce incubator units designed by experts from the University of Indonesia. This fabrication activity is the result of a collaboration with BFLF Indonesia which funds program activities. The resulting incubator is then handed over to the BFLF Indonesia institution to then distribute it to underprivileged families in need on a free loan basis. The main target is underprivileged families in the province of Aceh. Another outcome is the wide publication of the Acehnese people through the mass media, both print and online.

Abstract

Cooling towers are widely applied in industries such as power plants and oil refineries, where the equipment produces excess heat that needs to be removed. The effect of baffles configuration on the performance of the novel cooling tower prototype was studied experimentally. The configuration of the baffles used is the baffle section without holes, the baffle section with 15 holes, the baffle section with 25 holes, and the baffle section with 35 holes. The water inlet temperature was varied, namely 55⁰C, 75⁰C, and 90⁰C. water is flowed from the main reservoir to the upper reservoir of the cooling tower using a pump, and water from the upper reservoir falls on the baffles of the cooling tower. Inlet water temperature, outlet water temperature, and water temperature at each baffle were measured using a thermocouple. The results showed that the cooling tower with a baffle of 35 holes produced the most optimal performance. The heat transfer rate produced by the cooling tower with a 35-hole baffle at an inlet temperature of 55⁰C is 624.64 Watts. At the water inlet temperature of 75⁰C, the average heat transfer rate produced by the cooling tower with a 35-hole baffle increased by 42.6%. The average heat transfer rate produced by a cooling tower with a 35-hole baffle at a water inlet temperature of 90⁰C increased by 62.6%. This is because the cooling tower with a baffle of 35 holes causes the water droplets that pass through the baffle to split into more and more so that the heat transfer rate is higher.

Abstract

AbstrakIndonesia merupakan negara yang mayoritas masyarakatnya bekerja sebagai petani. Seiring dengan perkembangan dan pertumbuhan masyarakat terdapat banyak cara untuk mengaliri air ke tanaman, sehingga penggunaan air lebih efisien. Efisiensi penggunaan air di lahan pertanian dapat dioptimalkan melalui penggunaan sistem irigasi yang tepat. Sistem irigasi yang banyak digunakan adalah irigasi tetes yang memiliki nilai efisiensi 80-95 % dibandingkan dengan sistem irigasi lainnya. Untuk mencapai efisiensi yang diinginkan maka diperlukan suatu upaya yaitu dengan merangkai sistem perpipaan sedemikian rupa sehingga memudahkan untuk mengalirkan air ke lahan tanaman.Sistem perpipaan dapat mempermudah pendistribusian fluida untuk kebutuhan industri maupun untuk keperluan pertanian. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisa head loss yang terjadi pada sistem perpipaan. Metode pengukuran dalam penelitian ini adalah mengukur volume air, debit air , dan kecepatan aliran fluida, yang dihasilkan dari sistem perpipaan dengan menggunakan tekanan gravitasi. Pengukuran dilakukan selama satu bulan yaitu dari bulan Januari-Februari dan proses penyiraman dilakukan saat pagi dan sore hari. Pada saat pengujian, air yang dibutuhkan untuk sekali penyiraman yaitu 151,82 ℓ.  Hasil yang diperoleh dari analisa data untuk  head loss yang terjadi pada setiap pipa lateral dari sistem perpipaan itu berbeda-beda. Head loss terbesar terjadi pada pipa lateral e yaitu 8,146 m dan head loss terkecil terjdi pada pipa lateral a yaitu 5,375 m. Dari hasil pembahasan disimpulkan bahwa jarak antara pipa lateral  dengan letak reservoir sangat berpengaruh terhadap keluaran debit air dan head loss yang terjadi pada sistem perpipaan.  Kata kunci—Irigasi Tetes, Sistem Perpipaan, Head Loss kompleksitas

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan membangun sistem kontrol suhu dan deteksi gerakan pada ruangan dengan memanfaatkan Arduino Nano yang dilengkapi dengan sensor DHT11 dan sensor PIR. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian observatif eksperimental. Penelitian observatif eksperimental dimulai dengan menentukan alat dan bahan yang diperlukan, termasuk perangkat lunak seperti Arduino IDE, Fritzing, Draw.io, dan Microsoft Word. Perangkat keras yang digunakan meliputi laptop HP dengan prosesor AMD Ryzen 5 5500U, Arduino Nano, sensor PIR, sensor DHT11, komponen relay, LCD, Buzzer, LED, power supply 12 volt, kabel, dan kipas angin Maspion F-15 DA. Alat pendukung seperti cutter, obeng, solder, tang potong, dan bor listrik digunakan untuk perakitan komponen elektronika agar sistem dapat berfungsi sesuai rencana. Metode pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini meliputi observasi langsung terhadap kondisi ruang kelas di SMA N 1 Petanahan, serta studi pustaka untuk mendapatkan landasan teori dan informasi pendukung tentang sistem kontrol suhu, sensor, dan komponen yang digunakan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa sistem kontrol suhu dan deteksi gerakan telah melewati pengujian yang memuaskan. Sistem mampu menjaga suhu ruangan pada rentang yang diinginkan dengan efektif, sementara sensor DHT11 menunjukkan akurasi yang tinggi dalam pengukuran suhu, dengan perbedaan yang sangat kecil antara nilai yang terbaca dan suhu aktual ruangan.
