Abstract

Measuring the patient satisfaction index is essential to establish a baseline for improving service quality in subsequent years. The Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) method is an effective approach to determine the overall patient satisfaction index over time. At Bhayangkara Hospital Pekanbaru, the satisfaction index of clinical forensic patients has not been previously assessed. This study aims to measure the satisfaction index of clinical forensic patients using the CSI method. A cross-sectional study was conducted on 284 clinical forensic patients at Bhayangkara Hospital Pekanbaru, selected through consecutive sampling. The modified SERVQUAL questionnaire, encompassing five service quality dimensions—reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and tangibles served as the research instrument. Data were analyzed using the CSI method. The results indicated that the mean overall satisfaction perception was 4.59, with the highest mean observed in the assurance dimension (4.63). Responsiveness was identified as the most important service quality dimension by clinical forensic patients (mean = 4.90). The overall satisfaction index calculated through CSI was 91.2%, indicating a very satisfied level, with the highest satisfaction index in the assurance dimension (92.72%) and the lowest in tangibles (90%). The target for the clinical forensic patient satisfaction index for the coming year should aim to surpass the index obtained in this study.

Abstract

Blunt trauma without visible skin damage is a common type of violence encountered in physical assault cases. Statistically, at RS Bhayangkara Pekanbaru, 341 cases of blunt trauma without skin damage were reported out of a total of 6,255 assault cases from 2015 to 2020. These cases present a challenge for doctors in finding physical evidence of trauma to document in medicolegal reports (Visum et Repertum). This study aims to analyze the histopathological differences, including erythrocyte extravasation, neutrophil and monocyte cell infiltration, and tissue edema, between groups subjected to blunt trauma without skin damage and a control group. Using a post-test-only group design, this study involved 30 Rattus norvegicus samples divided into three groups: control, intervention group 1, and intervention group 2. The intervention involved a 324-gram load dropped from a height of 45 cm onto the surface of the rats' skin. Histopathological examination revealed no significant differences in erythrocyte extravasation, neutrophil infiltration, or monocyte infiltration, while a significant difference was observed in tissue edema levels.

Abstract

Sexual violence, including sexual intercourse, can occur in women experiencing vaginal discharge, particularly in cases of vaginal candidiasis. In candidiasis, the vaginal microbiome undergoes changes that could serve as a diagnostic indicator or as evidence of sexual activity.  The aim of this study was to assess the effects of semen insemination on the vaginal microbiome profile of candidiasis rats and to determine its forensic investigations in cases of sexual violence.  An experimental study was carried out using Wistar strain rats (Rattus norvegicus), consisting of four male rats (for spermatozoa donors) and twenty-four female rats. The female rats were divided into four groups: normal condition (control), normal condition post-semen insemination, candidiasis rats, and candidiasis rat post-semen insemination. Vaginal microbiome profiles were examined for each group, using alpha diversity (Chao 1, Shannon, Simpson, and Faith PD indices) and beta diversity (Bray Curtis, Jaccard, Unweighted Unifrac and Weighted Unifrac indices). Data were analyzed using the Kruskal-Wallis test for alpha diversity and the PERMANOVA test for beta diversity. The vaginal microbiome profiles of normal and candidiasis rats showed no significant differences (p>0.05). In candidiasis rats, the microbiome predominantly consisted of the Eukaryota kingdom, particularly Candida albicans. Semen insemination did not significantly affect the vaginal microbiome profile of candidiasis rats in the short term (p>0.05). However, the study highlights that the presence of Eschericia-Shigella, Roseomonas, and Archaea in the vaginal microbiome post-semen insemination potentially serves as an indicator of infection or sexual activity in forensic contexts.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

Farming or planting is part of human efforts to meet food needs, but along the time agricultural land is decreasing where one of the causes is due to infrastructure development, such as road construction, office buildings and others, so that the threat of a food crisis has arisen. A new agricultural method or technique emerged by utilizing existing land such as home yards as a substitute for rice fields called urban farming or urban agriculture, where this agriculture technique is not only conducted in rural areas but also can be implemented in urban areas. Of course it is a good initiative, as one of the actions in dealing with the threat of a food crisis due to reduced agricultural land. However, during implementation, urban farmers find technical obstacles such as in monitoring or controlling soil conditions and with time limitation. With the improvement or innovation of technology and the availability of the internet, this should be able to solve the problem, considering that these two things have not yet utilized properly in terms of agricultural activities, such as the use of the internet by farmers which is generally used for communicating. One technology that can be used and solved that problem is the Internet of Things (IoT). IoT can be utilized in monitoring the humidity of the soil via smartphones in real time. So, the obstacles that arise can be resolved by utilizing IoT and of course for the future this technology can be developed according to the needs.

Abstract

Breast cancer is one of the leading causes of death among women in Indonesia. Therefore, early detection is crucial to improving the chances of successful treatment. This study was conducted to evaluate the performance differences between the Naïve Bayes and Random Forest algorithms in classifying breast cancer data. The dataset used was sourced from Kaggle, and the entire data processing and model analysis process was performed using RapidMiner software. Data was split into 80% for training and 20% for testing to ensure optimal model evaluation. Evaluation was conducted using accuracy, precision, and recall metrics. The findings of this study indicate that Random Forest is capable of producing more effective classification performance than Naïve Bayes. Random Forest achieved an accuracy of 99.27%, recall of 99.27%, and precision of 99.30%. Meanwhile, the Naïve Bayes algorithm only achieved an accuracy of 83.78% with recall and precision of 83.80% each. The superiority of Random Forest is believed to stem from its ensemble approach, which can handle data complexity and reduce the risk of overfitting, thereby providing more accurate and stable prediction results. Based on these results, Random Forest is considered more suitable for use in machine learning-based early breast cancer detection systems. This study is expected to serve as a reference for the development of medical decision support systems and to encourage the use of classification technology in the field of health.
