Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has driven transformations in educational practices, including in the presentation of science materials. This article presents a systematic review of research trends on augmented reality (AR)-based e-modules in the context of improving students' science literacy. This study aims to identify the direction of development, publication frequency, and thematic focus of research from 2016 to 2025. Data were collected through document searches on Google Scholar using relevant keywords, which were then analyzed to reveal the contribution of AR e-modules to science learning. The results of the analysis show a significant growth in interest in this topic, especially after 2020, along with the increasing need for interactive and contextual learning media. This study also maps the types of publications, years of publication, and the most widely used journals or proceedings. These findings reinforce the importance of developing AR-based e-modules as a potential learning strategy in improving conceptual understanding, scientific reasoning, and active involvement of students in the science learning process

Abstract

This bibliometric study delves into the multifaceted dimensions of local wisdom research based on an exhaustive analysis of scholarly publications indexed in the Scopus Journal Database. Focused on the intersection of local wisdom with education and learning, the study employs a comprehensive methodology encompassing data collection, bibliometric analysis, visualization techniques, geographical analysis, and quality assurance measures. The findings, derived from the systematic examination of 4,268 documents spanning nearly a century, reveal the evolution, contributors, and global patterns within the field. Notably, the analysis of 45 selected journal articles provides a nuanced understanding of the diverse applications of local wisdom, ranging from teacher responsibility and multicultural harmony to conservation management and innovative learning models. The robust citation counts of key studies underscore the substantial impact of local wisdom in shaping educational practices and fostering holistic development. Geographically, Indonesia emerges as a central hub of local wisdom research, with Indonesian researchers playing a pivotal role and actively engaging in international collaborations. In conclusion, this comprehensive overview not only contributes valuable insights to the ongoing discourse on local wisdom but also provides a foundation for future research endeavors, emphasizing the critical role of local wisdom in addressing global challenges and fostering sustainable solutions, particularly in the realm of education.

Abstract

21st century learning includes achieving the ability to communicate, think critically, think and act creatively, and collaborate. One of the efforts recommended by experts to achieve this is through the application of project-based learning. Various forms of blending are implemented using project-based learning. One form of method in project-based learning is the practicum method. This literature review aims to describe various forms of project-based learning as well as the development of practical guide modules and their relationship to several practical activities that lead to the chemical identification of natural medicinal plant ingredients. The various results of this research will give birth to alternative project-based learning by developing practical guide modules that can strengthen students' understanding of high-level thinking skills related to the classification of living things, especially plants, as well as science process skills and scientific attitudes.

Abstract

This study aims to provide a bibliometric review of research trends on local wisdom-integrated scaffolding inquiry models to improve students' scientific literacy during the period 2014-2024. Data were obtained through Google Scholar using analysis tools such as Publish or Perish and Dimension.ai, resulting in 1,000 documents selected based on PRISMA guidelines. The analysis was carried out using bibliometric and content analysis methods, supported by VOSviewer software to visualize keyword trends and research patterns. The results showed that the publication trend peaked in 2021, reflecting significant interest in this topic. The dominant publication types were chapters and edited books, indicating that this topic is often discussed in comprehensive academic references. Keywords such as local wisdom, scientific literacy, and scientific inquiry indicate the focus of research on the integration of local cultural values ​​with a scientific-based approach. Network visualization and research density underscore the importance of evaluating the effectiveness of local wisdom-based learning in improving students' scientific literacy, problem-solving skills, and scientific understanding. So it can be concluded that the research trend of the local wisdom integrated scaffolding inquiry model has become the main focus in the development of science education that is relevant and contextual to the needs of the 21st century.

Abstract

This study aims to review the literature on the development of Clinical Reasoning Skills (CRS) in pharmacy students, with a focus on educational approaches that enhance essential competencies in effective patient care. Using the PRISMA methodology, a systematic search was conducted in the SCOPUS database, yielding 3,794 documents. Screening based on relevance, publication date, and language narrowed the number to 1,140 documents, which were further screened for eligibility, yielding 34 documents, of which 12 met inclusion criteria for in-depth analysis. The results showed that structured and multifaceted pedagogical methods, such as cognitive apprenticeship, team-based learning, and experiential learning in real-world settings, were effective in enhancing CRS in pharmacy students. These approaches strengthen critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration skills, which are essential in dealing with the complexity of patient care scenarios. In addition, the use of innovative assessment tools, such as script concordance tests, allows for reliable measurement of reasoning skills and provides targeted feedback, thereby enhancing student readiness for clinical practice. The review concludes that the integration of these learning methods into the pharmacy curriculum contributes to the development of student competencies and prepares graduates for interdisciplinary collaboration. Future research is needed to explore the long-term effectiveness of this educational strategy across contexts and examine the use of technology, such as virtual simulation, to further optimize CRS training and ensure pharmacy graduates are prepared to meet evolving health care challenges.

Abstract

Higher education has an important role in developing students' scientific creativity to face the challenges of the 21st century. One approach that has received attention in improving scientific creativity is the scaffolding inquiry model integrated with local wisdom. However, research related to the trend and direction of the development of the scaffolding inquiry model integrated with local wisdom on student scientific creativity is still limited. This study aims to provide a bibliometric review of the research trends of the scaffolding inquiry model integrated with local wisdom on student scientific creativity during the period 2020-2025. Data was obtained through Google Scholar using analysis tools such as Publish or Perish and Dimensions.ai, resulting in 1,000 documents selected based on PRISMA guidelines. Analysis was conducted using bibliometric methods and content analysis, supported by VOSviewer software to visualize keyword trends and research patterns. Research trends showed variations in the number of annual publications, with a significant spike in 2021 and a decline in subsequent years. Bibliometric analysis shows the dominance of publications in the form of books and monographs, highlighting the need for further exploration in this topic. Although the publication trend shows a decline in recent years, the scaffolding inquiry model integrated with local wisdom remains important to enhance students' scientific creativity. The integration of local wisdom in learning can create a more contextualized and innovative learning experience, support the development of scientific creativity skills, and fit the needs of 21st century education. Further research in the future is expected to explore more deeply the potential of technology and local wisdom in enric hing this learning model.

Abstract

This study aims to provide an overview of the thinking framework in the assessment aspect that is implemented in an integrated manner in formative assessment in the application of the Alamiah mini project science practice model. This study is based on theoretical analysis related to formative assessment which is implemented to determine the achievement of the learning process implemented in the knowledge, skills and attitude specifications. The literature review is sourced from several articles in accredited journals Sinta and Scopus with the help of the publish and spreris application tool.The results of this study are in the form of a collection of assessment indicators implemented based on the Alamiah mini project science practice model which is currently being developed which can support the formative assessment process in an effort to fulfill student competencies in the knowledge aspect (high -level thinking skills), skills aspect (science process skills) and attitude (scientific attitude). The stages of learning in the Alamiah Mini Project Science practicum have equivalent indicators that can measure and inform student learning outcomes, especially at the Junior High School level.

Abstract

Hutan lindung memiliki fungsi ekologis yang sangat penting, namun informasi mengenai keanekaragaman hayati di dalamnya, khususnya tumbuhan paku, masih sangat terbatas. Tumbuhan paku berperan sebagai komponen penting dalam ekosistem hutan serta dapat menjadi indikator kesehatan lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi spesies tumbuhan paku yang terdapat di Kawasan Hutan Lindung Gawa Kedatu yang memiliki luas 138.000 m². Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan metode jelajah (eksploratif) yang dilakukan di seluruh kawasan hutan pada bulan November 2025 hingga Januari 2026. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling dengan mempertimbangkan perbedaan karakteristik morfologi dan keterwakilan habitat. Seluruh spesimen yang ditemukan diidentifikasi secara morfologi berdasarkan ciri-ciri organ vegetatif dan generatifnya menggunakan buku panduan identifikasi dan kunci determinasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa di kawasan ini ditemukan sebanyak 24 spesies tumbuhan paku yang tergolong ke dalam 17 genus, 3 ordo, dan 11 famili. Spesies-spesies yang teridentifikasi meliputi Adiantum lunulatum, Adiantum capillus-veneris, Adiantum caudatum, Pteris multifida, Pteris sp., Pteris biaurita, Pteris ensiformis, Pyrrosia piloselloides, Phymatosorus scolopendria, Platycerium bifurcatum, Drynaria quercifolia, Microsorum sp., Goniophlebium verrucosum, Cyclosorus interruptus, Cyclosorus sp., Amphineuron immersum, Asplenium nidus, Nephrolepis exaltata, Tectaria aurita, Huperzia squarrosa, Elaphoglossum latifolium, Diplazium esculentum, Lygodium japonicum, dan Microlepia todayensis christ. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa Kawasan Hutan Lindung Gawa Kedatu memiliki tingkat keanekaragaman tumbuhan paku yang cukup tinggi. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa kawasan tersebut menyimpan kekayaan jenis paku yang beragam, sehingga hasil penelitian ini sangat penting untuk dijadikan sebagai data dasar (baseline) dalam upaya konservasi keanekaragaman hayati, pengelolaan kawasan hutan lindung secara berkelanjutan, serta sebagai acuan bagi penelitian ekologi dan taksonomi tumbuhan paku di masa mendatang.

Abstract

This study is driven by the need to develop instructional approaches that foster 21st-century skills. As an archipelagic country with rich cultural diversity, Indonesia has significant potential to link cultural values with science education through the Ethno-STEM approach. The integration of Project-Based Learning (PjBL) with Ethno-STEM in Indonesia has demonstrated promising results. However, systematic investigations into research trends, local wisdom topics, and integration with other instructional approaches remain limited. Given the increasing interest in Ethno- STEM learning, this review aims to identify key trends and gaps in the integration of Project-Based Learning and Ethno-STEM in Indonesia over the past decade. The Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analyses (PRISMA) framework was employed as a guideline for conducting the systematic literature review. Data were gathered using the Publish or Perish (PoP) application, drawing from the Google Scholar, Crossref, and OpenAlex databases. A rigorous selection process was applied, ultimately yielding 25 relevant articles for in-depth analysis. The findings reveal that the publication trend of PjBL-Ethno STEM in Indonesia has experienced significant growth since 2019, peaking in 2023. Development research (36%) and quantitative studies (32%) dominate the body of literature. Most of these studies were conducted on Java Island (76%), while no studies from Kalimantan and Papua were identified. The local wisdom topics explored in the literature include food, beverages, regional arts, traditional technologies, and native flora and fauna. Moreover, the integration of PjBL-Ethno STEM with inquiry-based learning, Ethno-STEAM, and virtual technology has emerged as a significant trend. Overall, PjBL-Ethno STEM stands out as an innovative instructional approach with great potential to cultivate essential 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, creative thinking, collaboration, and communication.
