Abstract

Students’ limited ability to connect theoretical concepts with real-life phenomena, coupled with monotonous lecture-based teaching, has led to low engagement in learning. This study investigates the effect of the Quantum Learning model on students’ metacognitive skills and scientific reasoning. Using a quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group, the study involved 41 tenth-grade students at SMA 1 Labuapi, divided into an experimental group (n = 20) and a control group (n = 21), selected through saturated sampling. The Metacognitive Skills Scale (MSS), adapted from Mustafa and Nuray, and a scientific reasoning test based on the Classroom Test of Scientific Reasoning (CTSR) developed by Lawson, were used for data collection. Data were analyzed using paired sample t-tests at a significance level of α = 0.05. Results showed significant improvement in both groups, with the experimental group experiencing greater gains in metacognitive skills (mean diff. = -20.050; SD = 5.624; p = 0.000) and scientific reasoning (mean diff. = -32.200; SD = 5.978; p = 0.000) compared to the control group (metacognitive: -11.905; SD = 5.558; scientific reasoning: -14.619; SD = 5.826; both p = 0.000). These findings indicate that the Quantum Learning model is effective in enhancing metacognitive awareness as well as scientific reasoning and is recommended for use in science education to improve student engagement and thinking skills.

Abstract

In the digital era of Industry 4.0, technology-enabled service innovation and social media marketing have become essential strategies for businesses seeking to enhance customer loyalty and drive revenue growth. This study aims to systematically review existing literature to understand how these digital strategies individually and synergistically influence customer retention and financial performance. Using a comprehensive literature review method, peer-reviewed journal articles and conference proceedings published between 2000 and 2025 from the Scopus database were analyzed. The analysis focused on key themes, trends, and research gaps related to the adoption of digital service innovations and social media marketing approaches. The findings reveal that technological innovations such as artificial intelligence-powered chatbots, mobile applications, and digital payment systems significantly improve customer experience through increased convenience, personalization, and service efficiency, thereby fostering loyalty across various sectors. Simultaneously, social media marketing enhances customer engagement via interactive and personalized content, influencer collaborations, and user-generated media, strengthening emotional connections and brand loyalty. The integration of technology-enabled service innovation with social media marketing generates synergistic effects, leading to sustained repurchase behavior and enhanced revenue generation. Challenges remain in effectively measuring financial impacts, developing organizational capabilities, and addressing ethical considerations related to data privacy and digital trust. Overall, this review highlights the critical role of integrated, customer-centric digital strategies in sustaining competitive advantage and financial success in the evolving digital marketplace. Future research should focus on emerging technologies and contextual factors influencing digital innovation effectiveness. This study provides valuable insights for practitioners and researchers aiming to harness digital transformation for customer loyalty and business growth.

Abstract

Media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi mempunyai peran yang sangat penting dalam perkembangan dunia pendidikan. Proses pembelajaran di kelas menggunakan media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi menjadi lebih mudah dalam mencari informasi, menampilkan konsep yang abstrak dan simbolik, pengelolaan dan transfer ilmu. Dengan media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi (augmented reality [AR]) dapat meningkatkan minta belajar siswa dan menambah sumber belajar siswa khususnya sebagai penguat profil pelajar pancasila. Kemampuan guru dalam mengembangkan dan menggunakan inovasi media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi perlu ditingkatkan. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut diperlukan pelatihan penggunaan media AR berbasis teknologi. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan guru dalam menggunakan media AR terintegrasi kearifan lokal sebagai penguat profil pelajar pancasila. Peserta diberikan pelatihan dan pendampingan secara intensif mulai dari pengenalan petunjuk penggunaan sampai dengan bagaimana cara penggunaannya. Penggunaan media AR dianggap mampu untuk menjawab keresahan dari guru dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran sesuai dengan implementasi kurikulum merdeka belajar di sekolah. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini akan dilaksanakan dalam beberapa tahapan, yaitu 1) Koordinasi dengan semua pihak terkait; 2) Pelatihan tentang penggunaan media AR terintegrasi kearifan lokal; 3) Focus Group Discussion (FGD) pada beberapa masalah yang terjadi, solusi dan rencana tindak lanjutnya. Kegiatan pelatihan penggunaan media Augmented Reality (AR) berbasis kearifan lokal bagi guru telah berhasil dilaksanakan dengan tujuan meningkatkan kompetensi pendidik dalam memanfaatkan teknologi digital untuk memperkuat Profil Pelajar Pancasila dan mendukung Pendidikan Berkelanjutan (ESDGs). Peserta pelatihan, yang terdiri dari guru-guru dari berbagai jenjang pendidikan, menunjukkan antusiasme tinggi dalam mempelajari konsep AR dan mengintegrasikannya dengan muatan lokal. Selama pelatihan, guru-guru berhasil mengembangkan prototipe media AR sederhana, seperti AR buku cerita rakyat, AR peta budaya, dan AR lingkungan hidup, yang memadukan teknologi dengan nilai-nilai kearifan lokal.

Abstract

Education plays a crucial role in shaping high-quality human resources. However, observations at SMA Negeri 5 Mataram revealed that students are less motivated to participate in classroom learning. This is evident from students' lack of attention to the teacher’s explanation and their difficulty in understanding the material. One of the main causes is the use of monotonous, teacher-centered learning methods. This condition calls for innovation in teaching, such as implementing the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model, which is designed to improve students’ motivation and conceptual understanding. This study aims to analyze the effect of the problem-based learning model on students’ learning motivation and understanding of biological concepts among Grade X students at SMA Negeri 5 Mataram. The research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design using a non-equivalent control group, involving an experimental group and a control group with both pretest and posttest. The sample was selected using purposive sampling, with class X6 as the control group and class X7 as the experimental group. The instruments used were a questionnaire to measure learning motivation and an essay test to assess conceptual understanding. The data were analyzed using the Mann-Whitney test, which showed a significant difference between the experimental and control groups, with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. These findings indicate that the problem-based learning model has a positive effect on improving both learning motivation and conceptual understanding. A good understanding of concepts can enhance students’ confidence in learning, thereby increasing intrinsic motivation. With strong motivation and conceptual understanding, students tend to achieve better academic outcomes and are more prepared to continue learning and adapting to future challenges.

Abstract

Education plays a pivotal role in shaping intellectual and moral character, particularly in addressing the challenges of globalization and technological advancement. In Indonesia, integrating Islamic values and local wisdom into education is essential to nurturing students with strong character and cultural awareness. This study aims to analyze the integration of Islamic values and local wisdom in science courses at higher education institutions in Lombok, and their influence on character development among prospective educators. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 505 first-semester students through a Likert-scale questionnaire. Statistical analysis revealed high construct validity and reliability, with Composite Reliability values exceeding 0.7 and AVE values above 0.5. The findings indicate that the integration of Islamic values and local wisdom significantly influences character development, supported by strong model predictive power (R² = 0.782 for X3; R² = 0.777 for Y). The novelty of this research lies in its interdisciplinary framework that integrates Islamic norms and cultural heritage into science education, challenging traditional views of science as value-neutral. The study recommends systematically incorporating these values into science curricula and conducting longitudinal studies to assess their long-term impact on students’ character formation and academic competencies.

Abstract

Tujuan  kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberikan pemahaman bagi guru tentang Lesson Study for Learning Community (LSLC) sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan mutu pembelajaran IPA di SMP Kota Mataram. Kegiatan ini telah dilaksanakan pada tanggal 15 Februari 2020 bertempat di SMP Negeri 20 Mataram. Peserta kegiatan sosialisasi LSLC ini terdiri atas seluruh guru di SMP Negeri 20 Mataram serta guru-guru IPA dari SMP Negeri 5 Mataram. Materi tentang LSLC yang diberikan oleh Tim kepada peserta terdiri dari 4 hal yaitu: (1) Tahapan Kolaboratif dalam LSLC; (2) Chapter and Lesson Design; (3) Teknik Observasi Saat Pembelajaran; (4) Teknik Refleksi. Setelah semua materi disampaikan oleh Tim, kegiatan dilanjutkan dengan tanya jawab tentang hal-hal yang belum dimengerti oleh peserta. Kegiatan sosialisasi ini telah memberikan pemahaman bagi guru tentang Lesson Study for Learning Community (LSLC) sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan mutu pembelajaran IPA. Kegiatan sosialisasi ini akan dilanjutkan dengan Pendampingan Praktik Lesson Study for Learning Community (LSLC) berbasis Zonasi bagi Guru-Guru IPA SMP di Kota Mataram.

Abstract

Abstract: The Biology Science Practicum has a role in improving the quality of science learning, especially Biology material, as well as improving science process skills and students' understanding of science concepts. The Biology Science Practicum requires the availability of plant and animal specimens as the main object of observation, but this is not widely available in the Science Laboratory of SMPN 20 Mataram, thus causing the Biology Science practicum not to be carried out properly. The purpose of this community service is to increase the understanding and skills of teachers to make specimens of preserved plants and animals. The method of implementing community service was to provide training for teachers to make specimens of preserved plants and animals which was conducted in September 2020. The training was guided by lecturers, education staff (laboratory assistants), and students. Questionnaires were given to training participants to evaluate the effectiveness of community service programs. The result of the training was that there were twenty teachers who came from science teachers and other subjects involved in training in making insectariums, herbariums, Mollusca shell preserves, and animal wet preserves, and participants responded that the training had increased the knowledge and skills of teachers in making plant specimens and animal. The conclusion is that the training carried out by providing samples of preserved specimens of living things, demonstrations and assistance in making preserved specimens have an impact on increasing participants' understanding and skills in making preserved specimens of plants and animals. Keywords: Dry and wet preservation of living things; Herbarium; insectarium; Biology practicum; Plant and animal specimens.

Abstract

Pengembangan literasi biologi dan minat wirausaha siswa sekolah di sekitar ekowisata Bagek Kembar diperlukan untuk menguatkan peluang mereka mengambil manfaat dari pengembangan kawasan ekowisata. Tujuan dalam pengabdian kepada masyarakat di SMAN 1 Sekotong adalah memberikan penyuluhan pada guru mengembangkan bahan ajar berbasis proyek biopreneurship untuk meningkatkan literasi biologi dan minat wirausaha siswa. Pengabdian masyarakat di SMAN 1 Sekotong Lombok dilakukan dengan tahapan mulai dari persiapan, pra-pelaksanaan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Pelaksanaan pengabdian di sekolah mitra, dilakukan dengan metode penyuluhan dan pendampingan guru mitra mengembangkan bahan ajar berbasis proyek biopreneurship. Evaluasi pelaksanaan pengabdian masyarakat dilakukan melalui pengamatan kegiatan guru selama pengabdian, wawancara dan pengisian angket untuk mendapatkan informasi tentang respons guru tentang manfaat pelatihan. Peserta pengabdian terdiri 30 Guru SMAN 1 Sekotong. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan 75% guru aktif dalam diskusi, bahan ajar biopreneurship yang diterapkan dalam kegiatan proyek dengan memanfaatkan tumbuhan dan hewan di sekitar Kawasan Ekowisata Bagek Kembar selaras dengan penerapan project konservasi mangrove, yang dilaksanakan oleh siswa pramuka dan siswa kelas alam SMAN 1 Sekotong. Saran dari peserta untuk kegiatan pengabdian selanjutnya adalah adanya program untuk meningkatkan numerasi dan literasi dengan memanfaatkan Ekowisata Bagek Kembar sebagai sumber belajar.

Abstract

So far, people consider rambutan seeds as unused waste, even though rambutan seeds have many health benefits. The purpose of the activities carried out by UNRAM Integrated KKN students is so that people can utilize rambutan seeds into products that have sales value. This activity was carried out in Karang Bayan Village, Lingsar District, West Nusa Tenggara. The approach used in this activity is Learning by Doing. UNRAM's integrated KKN student team learned by practicing directly how to process rambutan seeds with the tools and materials that had been prepared. This approach is expected to be more effective in achieving the output targets in KKN activities in Karang Bayan Village. The results of the implementation of the Integrated Community Service Program (KKN) activities are able to provide information and innovation about processing rambutan seed waste so that the community is able to process rambutan seed waste into a creative business venture, which is able to show creativity in turning unused waste into a valuable product. In addition, this activity can also be an option to reduce waste, especially rambutan seeds.

Abstract

Bahan ajar terintegrasi kearifan lokal yang inovatif mempunyai peran yang sangat penting dalam perkembangan dunia pendidikan. Proses pembelajaran di kelas menggunakan bahan ajar yang inovatif menjadi lebih mudah dalam mencari informasi, manipulasi, pengelolaan dan transfer ilmu antara yang ada pada lingkungan dengan materi pembelajaran. Dengan bahan ajar terintegrasi kearifan lokal yang inovatif dapat mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir siswa dan meningkatkan kemampuan guru secara profesional. Kemampuan guru dalam mengembangkan bahan ajar terintegrasi kearifan lokal perlu ditingkatkan.Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut diperlukan pelatihan pengembangan bahan ajar terintegrasi kearifan lokal. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan guru dalam mengembangkan bahan ajar terintegrasi kearifan lokal. Peserta diberikan pelatihan dan pendampingan secara intensif mulai dari pembuatan draft bahan ajar hingga menjadi media berbasis teknologi yang siap digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan dalam beberapa tahapan, yaitu 1) Koordinasi dengan semua pihak terkait; 2) Pelatihan tentang pengembangan bahan ajar terintegrasi kearifan lokal; 3) Pendampingan dalam pembuatan bahan ajar terintegrasi kearifan lokal oleh guru; 4) Focus group discussion pada beberapa masalah yang terjadi, solusi dan rencana tindak lanjutnya. Hasil yang diperoleh dari pengolahan data keseluruhan indikator adalah peserta setuju bahwa pelaksanaanpelatihan telah berjalan dengan baik, dimana sebagian besar peserta berpandangan bahwa pelaksanaan pelatihan telah memberikan manfaat yang mendalam dan sangat membantu dalam peningkatan kualitas diri peserta.
