Abstract

This research aims to describe the influence of Syndicate Group Learning Instruction on the improvement of activities and physics learning outcomes of 8th-grade students at SMPN 18 Mataram. The research design employed is an experimental study. The population of this study comprises all 8th-grade students at SMPN 18 Mataram. The sample consists of 22 students from class VIIIA as the experimental group and 24 students from class VIIIC as the control group selected using a random sampling technique. Data for this study were obtained through pre-tests and post-tests given to the sample class students. Data collection techniques involve using observation sheets and formative tests that have been validated for validity, reliability, differential power, and difficulty index. Based on the data analysis, the average pre-test score for the experimental group is 56.13; for the control group, it is 46.66, categorized as homogeneous and normally distributed. The post-test results show an average of 69.31 for the experimental group and 58.54 for the control group. The final test data of the sample class students were analyzed using the t-test, resulting in a calculated t-value of 2.160 and a tabulated t-value of 2.016. The calculated t-value is greater than the tabulated t-value at a 5% error level, thus rejecting the null hypothesis (Ho). It can be concluded that the use of Syndicate Group Learning Instruction has a significant influence on the activities and physics learning outcomes of 8th-grade students at SMPN 18 Mataram.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains dan hasil belajar kognitif di kalangan siswa kelas VII SMPN 1 Alas melalui penerapan pembelajaran kontekstual berbasis praktikum. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilakukan dalam dua siklus, masing-masing terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah 36 siswa, dengan data dikumpulkan melalui lembar observasi dan tes kognitif. Pada Siklus I, nilai tertinggi yang dicapai adalah 90, nilai terendah 68, dengan nilai rata-rata 82. Jumlah siswa yang mencapai kriteria ketuntasan belajar adalah 27 (75% ketuntasan klasikal), yang dikategorikan sebagai tidak tuntas. Pada Siklus II, nilai tertinggi meningkat menjadi 95, nilai terendah menjadi 80, dengan nilai rata-rata 89. Jumlah siswa yang mencapai kriteria meningkat menjadi 33 (91,6% ketuntasan klasikal), yang dikategorikan sebagai tuntas. Selain itu, skor keterampilan proses sains meningkat dari 68% (Siklus I) menjadi 87% (Siklus II). Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran kontekstual berbasis praktikum secara signifikan meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains dan hasil belajar kognitif siswa. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa mengintegrasikan pendekatan praktikum dalam pembelajaran kontekstual secara efektif meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif dan kinerja siswa. Improving Science Process Skills and Cognitive Learning Outcomes Through Contextual Learning Based on Practical Activities in Junior High School Abstract This study aims to enhance science process skills and cognitive learning outcomes among seventh-grade students at SMPN 1 Alas through the implementation of contextual learning based on practical activities. The research employs a Classroom Action Research (CAR) methodology, conducted over two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The study involves 36 students, with data collected through observation sheets and cognitive tests. In Cycle I, the highest score achieved was 90, the lowest was 68, with an average score of 82. The number of students who met the learning criteria was 27 (75% classical completeness), which was categorized as incomplete. In Cycle II, the highest score increased to 95, the lowest to 80, with an average score of 89. The number of students meeting the criteria increased to 33 (91.6% classical completeness), categorized as complete. Additionally, the science process skills scores improved from 68% (Cycle I) to 87% (Cycle II). These results indicate that contextual learning based on practical activities significantly improves both science process skills and cognitive learning outcomes. The study concludes that integrating practical, contextual approaches in science education effectively enhances students' understanding and performance.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh model pembelajaran Problem Based Instruction (PBI) terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 11 Mataram pada materi "Getaran dan Gelombang." Penelitian menggunakan desain eksperimen semu dengan kelompok eksperimen yang diajar menggunakan PBI dan kelompok kontrol yang diajar menggunakan metode ceramah tradisional. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes post-test keterampilan berpikir kritis yang terdiri dari lima soal uraian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa di kelas eksperimen adalah 82,27 yang termasuk dalam kategori "Sangat Kritis," sedangkan nilai rata-rata di kelas kontrol adalah 61,724 yang termasuk dalam kategori "Kurang Kritis." Uji statistik menggunakan uji-t menunjukkan bahwa t-hitung sebesar 4,951 lebih besar dari t-tabel sebesar 2,021 pada taraf signifikansi 5%, yang menunjukkan perbedaan signifikan antara kedua kelompok. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa PBI efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. The Effect of Problem Based Instruction (PBI) Model on Critical Thinking Skills of Grade VIII Students at SMP Negeri 11 Mataram Abstract This study aims to examine the effect of the Problem Based Instruction (PBI) model on the critical thinking skills of Grade VIII students at SMP Negeri 11 Mataram in the "Vibrations and Waves" material. The study used a quasi-experimental design with an experimental group taught using PBI and a control group taught using traditional lecture methods. Data were collected through a post-test critical thinking skills test consisting of five essay questions. The results showed that the average critical thinking skills score of students in the experimental class was 82.27, classified as "Highly Critical," while the average score in the control class was 61.724, classified as "Less Critical." Statistical analysis using a t-test showed that the t-value of 4.951 was greater than the t-table value of 2.021 at a 5% significance level, indicating a significant difference between the two groups. These results indicate that PBI is effective in enhancing students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Currently, Islamic education ideas are not only conveyed by Muslims but also by people of other religions. Therefore, there is a need for Islamic educational thinking that should be produced by Muslims themselves, so that the results of their thinking are correct and in line with Islamic principles and sharia. Therefore, this scientific study aims to examine in more depth the thoughts on Islamic education according to the perspective of Prof. Dr. Syafaruddin, M.Pd. This scientific study uses the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method with PRISMA analysis. The results of the analysis state that in his perspective, Prof. Dr. Syafaruddin, M.Pd. not only views Islamic education as teaching related to Islamic values, but more than that. He views Islamic education as a complex system, in which structured management actions are needed to be able to maintain and develop Islamic education amidst the onslaught of current developments

Abstract

One of the famous reform scholars in West Sumatra is Sheikh Burhanuddin. The purpose of this article is to find out about the life history, scientific spirit and educational system of Tuanku Burhanuddin Ulakan, West Sumatra. The method used in the research is through literature study by carrying out an inventory of all the literature sources used and then carefully verifying them to ensure the level of relevance of the material collected to the object that is the focus of the study in the research. This method is to provide a guarantee of the level of objectivity of the data used. The conclusions from this article are: (1) Sheikh Burhanuddin is thought to have been born in 1056 Hijiriah/1646 AD to a family that adhered to Buddhism. He comes from the Guguk Sikaladi Pariangan area, Padang Panjang, then his parents moved to Sintuak Lubuk Alung. (2) Sheikh Burhanuddin's way of imparting Islamic teachings to the children of Tanjung Medan was in a gradual, soft way. He didn't want to do it hard. The way to do this is to apply one of the verses of the Koran which reads: "Lā Iqraha Fiddīn" (there is no compulsion in religion). (3) It is important to understand that through the Syattariyah congregation which is Sheikh Burhanuddin's means of preaching Islam, Islamic teachings seem to be more easily accepted by the Minangkabau people. Because he presented the Islam of the tarekat which prioritizes the importance of spiritual qualities and inner purification compared to the practices and rituals of the tarekat in general

Abstract

Penentuan hunian kos yang sesuai dengan individu seringkali melibatkan berbagai faktor, seperti harga, fasilitas, lokasi, keamanan, lingkungan dan kebutuhan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk pengembangan model fuzzy tsukamoto untuk keputusan pemilihan kos berdasarkan preferensi individu dengan menggunakan enam variabel input yaitu harga, fasilitas, lokasi, keamanan, lingkungan dan kebutuhan dan satu variabel output yaitu rekomendasi kos. Model fuzzy yang dikembangkan menggunakan metode fuzzy tsukamoto mampu memberikan rekomendasi kos berdasarkan beberapa variabel. Hasil pengujian penentuan hunian kos pada 6 variabel dengan memberikan nilai numerik pada setiap variabel dalam rentang yang telah ditentukan dan kemudian memasukkan nilai-nilai tersebut kedalam model inferensi fuzzy tsukamoto ini bisa menentukan hunian kos dengan baik dan menunjukkan dalam memberikan rekomendasi yang sesuai dengan preferensi pengguna. Melihat pada derajat keanggotaan nilai z, rekomendasi penentuan hunian kos adalah sebesar 58,23. Dengan nilai 58,23 termasuk dalam kriteria salah satu rekomendasi kos dengan nilai preferensi tertinggi 100 dan terendah 12.5 juga model ini dapat digunakan untuk mengembangkan aplikasi pengambilan keputusan pemilihan hunian kos tahap lanjut.

Abstract

Pemberdayaan kader melalui edukasi menurunkan masalah gizi merupakan program penting jangka panjang. Posyandu untuk remaja perlu di aktifkan di Kabupaten Batu Bara, karena keluarga membutuhkan pembinaan, seperti pembekalan dengan penyuluhan tentang gizi seimbang untuk keluarga. Remaja putri merupakan periode penting sebagai kelompok rentan pada masalah gizi. Kabupaten Batu Bara di Propinsi Sumatera Utara memiliki prevalensi anemia dan kurang energi kronis terutama pada remaja putri cukup tinggi. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan kader mengenai gizi seimbang serta makanan mencegah anemia pada remaja putri. Kegiatan ini dimulai menilai pengetahuan kader tentang gizi seimbang dengan memberikan soal pre-test sebelum edukasi, kemudian dilakukan penyuluhan dan diakhiri dengan post-test. Hasilnya dari pengetahuan kader tentang gizi seimbang menunjukkan kenaikan skor rata-rata pengetahuan yang signifikan (p=0,000) sebelum dan sesudah dilakukan edukasi gizi seimbang. Pemberian edukasi gizi seimbang oleh kader yang rutin akan meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang gizi secara signifikan. Perlu dilakukan pembinaan pada remaja putri berkelanjutan untuk menurunkan kasus anemia yang bisa menyebabkan stunting dan kurang energi kronis di masyarakat.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to find out whether power teaching game technique (Pow-Tega) could improve the students’ speaking skill or not. The sample was selected using purposive sampling from the population, they were thirty-two students from class VII-5. Pre-Experimental design was used in this research. To find whether the power teaching game technique (Pow-Tega) could improve students’ speaking skill, the oral test was used to collect the data. The data were analyzed by using paired sample t-test. The result showed that there was an improvement in students’ speaking skill after being taught by using power teaching game technique (Pow-Tega). It could be seen from the increase of students’ mean score from pre-test to posttest, 42.13 to 59.38. Moreover, based on the result of paired sample t-test, t-result was -9.018, t-table was -2.040 (p 0.05) and the significant value was 0,000 (p 0.05). The result showed that the students who were taught by using power teaching game technique (Pow-Tega) had a better improvement in their speaking skill. In other words, power teaching game technique (Pow-Tega) is a good way to be used by the teachers as a teaching technique especially in improving students’ speaking skill.

Abstract

Protecting information during transmission is crucial to prevent unauthorized access. Steganography and cryptography are two commonly used methods for securing messages from illegal interception. Steganography involves two main components: a container and a secret message to conceal. This research focuses on embedding a message into an encrypted video. The embedding process utilizes the Least Significant Bit (LSB) algorithm, while encryption and decryption are performed using the RSA algorithm. In the LSB technique, the last two bits of the red component in each pixel are replaced with two bits from the encrypted message. Once replaced, the red value in each pixel is updated accordingly. Video steganography enhances message security by minimizing the likelihood of detecting hidden messages within the video. By combining the LSB method with RSA encryption, the confidentiality of the information is further strengthened.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Job Satisfaction on Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) at CV. Mulia Abadi. The method used in this study is a quantitative method. The population in this study were 35 employees and were also used as samples, with a sample technique of saturated samples. The method in this study is quantitative. Based on the results of the research conducted, the following conclusions can be drawn: Job satisfaction has a good effect on Organizational Citizenship Behavior. This means that employee satisfaction as seen from satisfaction with opportunities for promotion, satisfaction with organizational policies, satisfaction with superior performance, satisfaction with the work environment, satisfaction with communication within the organization can have an effect on Organizational Citizenship Behavior. Employee satisfaction partially affects Organizational Citizenship Behavior. This means that employee satisfaction can have an effect on Organizational Citizenship Behavior.
