Abstract

Depression and hypertension are common and dangerous conditions among the Indonesian population. Measurement of blood pressure and detection of depression need to be done regularly to minimize the impact that occurs in the future. This study aims to determine whether depression is the cause of the incidence of hypertension by gender in Indonesia. The research design used in this study was analytic observation. This study used a cross sectional design, survey with stratified random sampling technique. The data in this study used secondary data based on the results of the Indonesian Family Life Survey Five (IFLS Five) research. Data analysis used a linear regression test. The results showed that there was a relationship between depression status and hypertension in men aged 15-64 years. The relationship between depression status and the prevalence of hypertension in women aged 15-64 years is a significant relationship. The comparison of the prevalence of depression between men and women is that men are more than women by 3.6 percent with an OR of 0.84. The relationship between depression and hypertension in women and men aged 15–64 years in Indonesia is a significant relationship.

Abstract

The low rate of population growth in Klojen Districts, cause the population in the region continues to decrease. Reduced population will affect the availability of human resources in the Klojen District. Therefore, conducted a study entitled "The relationship between Fertility, Mortality and Migration with Population Growth Rate”. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of fertility, mortality and migration to the rate of population growth. This type of research is an explanatory survey. Subjects in this study amounted to 11 urban villages. Data collection using documentation data. Data analysis technique used is a Rank Order technique from Spearman. The results of this study indicate that: (1) The value ρ arithmetic of fertility 0.67 > value ρ table 0.591. (2) The value ρ arithmetic of mortality 0.44 < value ρ table 0.591. (3) The value ρ arithmetic of in-migration 0.12 < value ρ table 0.591. (4) The value ρ arithmetic of out-migration -0.08 < value ρ table 0.591. The conclusion of this study: (1) there is a significant relationship between fertility with population growth rate. (2) there is no significant relationship between mortality, in-migration , and out-migration with population growth rate.

Abstract

The government's effort to improved the quality of education is through full day school program.Full day school starts in the morning until the afternoon.A relatively long time requires the students to follow all the learning activities in the school, resulting in the activities of the students become dense so that it affects the difficulties of students in setting the time of rest and pattern of eating.An irregular diet can have an impact on the nutritional status of schoolgirls.This research was conducted to know the relationship of dietaryhabitand physical activity with the nutritional status of Class VII SMP Negeri full day school, Malang. The draft on this study uses correlational research methods with a cross sectional research design. Samples used as many as 100 girls with stratified random sampling technique.Data analysis using Spearman correlation test. The results of this study showed a significant linkbetween dietary habitand nutritional status of studentswith P value 0.000 and correlation coefficient of 0.406.Also indicates a significant relationship between physical activity andnutritional status of studentwith P value 0.000 and correlation coefficient of-0.348.

Abstract

According to the 2013 Riskesdas results, in Indonesia there were 0.6% of the population aged 15 years and over or around 1 million people who actually felt the symptoms of DM in the last month but it was not certain whether they had diabetes or not (Ministry of Health, 2014). In addition, according to Riskesdas 2013, there are more than 8 million people with diabetes mellitus who have not been diagnosed (MOH, 2014). Early detection efforts need to be enforced both by using identification of risk factors and their symptoms and signs as well as throughphysical examination in the form of measuring blood sugar levels. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the results of early detection of DM disease using the android application "DM Personal Screening" with an examination ofrandom blood sugar levels of visitors to the Janti Health Center in Malang. This study used a correlative research design with a cross-sectional design and was conducted at the Janti Health Center in Malang. The sampling method used was a purposive sampling method with a total sample of 30 visitors. The measured variable is the result of early detection using the android application "DM Personal Screening" with random blood sugar levels. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire and Glucometer Easy Touch brand. Data analysis was performed using univariate and bivariate statistical analyzes. The measurement results show the relationship of random blood sugar levels with the measurement of DM personal screening is p value = 0.277. Conclusion was that there was no significant relationship between measurement results using KGDA examination with DM personal screening (p value -0.277).

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the influence of balanced nutrition counseling by using the game media snake ladder to the knowledge of balanced nutrition of students. This research use experimental research method with One Group Pretest Posttest type. The population in this study were all students in SDN Landungsari 1 Malang Regency. The sample in this research is the third grade students amounting to 35 children selected by purposive sampling. Knowledge measuring instruments are knowledge tests (pre-test and post-test). The analysis is paired sample T-Test with significance level of 0,05. The results showed that there was a difference of students' knowledge result between before and after counseling using balanced nutrition snake and ladder game media. It is based on the result of sig.p value of 0.00 and tcount of 15,245. Based on the above, it can be concluded that balanced nutrition counseling using game media of snake ladder can give influence to knowledge of balanced nutrition of student.

Abstract

An increase in diarrhea suffers on toddler in the working area primary health centre cisadea at last three years did not escape the knowledge factor in the care of a mother, here a mother’s maturity and family income can encourage a degree of family healthespecially under five children. The purpose of this research is to know the relation of mother’s age group and average income of family ith a mother’s level knowledge about diarrhea in under five children. Research methods used is rasearch correlational. The subject in this study as many as 20 mothers of child under five who are never treated in primary health care Cisadea ith complain of diarrhea. The instrument used in the form of a knowledge test, questionnaire and the documentation. Data analysis using chi-square tes. The results showed that: (1) chi-square Value (X2Count) mother’s maturity level82.002 more than value X2Table 11.070, (2) chi-square Value (X2Count) average income of family 40.992 more than X2Table 7.815, (3) chi-square Value (X2Count) mother’s maturity level and average income of family with mother’s level knowledge about diarrhea in under five children 122.994 more than X2value Table 21.026. Conclusion: (1) There is a significant correlation between the mother’s maturity levelwith mother’s level knowledge about diarrhea in under five children, (2) There is a significant correlation between average income of family with mother’s level knowledge about diarrhea in under five children.

Abstract

Obesity is one of triple burden malnutrition faced by Indonesia. Consuming balance nutrition throughadequate intake of vegetables and fruits as a source of fiber is recommended to prevent obesity. Smoothies could be way to enjoy vegetables and fruits to provide adequate intake of fiber.There is one food ingredient that has recently become concern for research called chia seeds. Chia seeds are high in fiber, mineral, vitamin and also great source of unsaturated fatty acids. This study was performed in to develop smoothies with addition of chia seeds(0 grams, 2.5 grams, 5 grams and 7.5 grams)thatevaluatedusing sensory analysis to investigate level of preference for taste, aroma, color and thickness. This was a quantitative study with experimental design using 4 treatments. Organoleptic test was performed by 35 panelists to determine preference on sensory attributes such as taste, aroma, color and thickness smoothies. Anova statistical test were performed to investigate the different panelis preference of sensory attributes. Statistical test showed that there was no significant different in sensory attributes taste and thickness (p > 0.05) and there was a significant differentin sensory attribues color and aroma between 4 treatment of smoothies(p<0.05). The addition of chia seeds in smoothies have an effect on level preverence on color and aroma. Panellist preferedsmoothies without addition of chia seeds forsensory attributes taste, color and aromaand addition of 5 grams chia seeds for sensory attributes thickness.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to analyze the relationship between marital status, family income, the habit of eating with hands ("muluk"), and fried food consumption with the risk of diabetes in early elderly women aged 46–55 years. The method used was an observational study with 83 respondents. The research instrument was a questionnaire. The results showed that 89.2% of respondents were married. It was also found that the average family income of respondents was below the Regional Minimum Wage (UMR) (62.7%). The majority of respondents reported eating with hands ("muluk") 7 times a week (27.7%), and 75.9% of respondents stated that they were more comfortable using "muluk" when eating. In addition, 33.7% admitted to regularly consuming fried foods as snacks. Regarding diabetes risk, 86.7% were in the low-risk category. The results of the chi-square bivariate test showed no relationship between marital status (p-value: 1.00), family income (p-value: 1.00), preferred eating method (p-value: 1.00), and fried food consumption (p-value: 0.319) with diabetes risk. The results of the Kendall's Tau bivariate test showed no relationship between the frequency of eating with hands ("muluk") (p-value: 0.897) and the number of fingers used for "muluk" (p-value: 0.596) with diabetes risk.
