Abstract

This study aims to analyze a comparative perspective of education systems in Indonesia, Europe, and America. The main focus is to identify differences in educational approaches, curriculum structures, teaching methods, and the challenges faced by Indonesia in enhancing its education quality and global competitiveness. A qualitative library research method was employed, reviewing literature related to the education systems of the three regions. The results show that Europe emphasizes equitable access, flexibility, and competency-based education tailored to local needs. In contrast, the United States adopts a decentralized system, encouraging student freedom in course selection and non-academic skill development through extracurricular activities. Meanwhile, Indonesia applies a more centralized curriculum focusing on uniformity and cultural-moral values. Indonesia’s main challenges include achieving equitable access to quality education, improving teacher capacity, and integrating technology into learning processes. This conclusions represent that Indonesia can adopt best practices from Europe and America, such as curriculum flexibility, competency-based approaches, and technology utilization, to create a more innovative and inclusive education system.

Abstract

Education itself has the essence of fulfilling the basic needs of human life and becoming a human means to carry out the life of the world in the context of the process of maintaining the necessities of life. Education aims in order to survive as a crystallization of values that are embodied in both the dimensions of psychological, sociological, social and cultural values. Studying an educational science must be related to ontological, epistemological, and axiological. The article aims to present a discussion on the study of educational thinking according to Paulo Freire and its implementation in the independent learning curriculum so that readers can get much more knowledge improvement that can be implemented also in their respective education where independent learning will be intensified by the Minister of Education as a new curriculum that begins practiced in the world of education in Indonesia. The presence of the Independent Learning curriculum, which is currently still in the experimental stage, has similarities with the educational concept proposed by Paulo that education must feel freedom both from freedom of thought and to voice opinions. The independent learning curriculum gives freedom to students in their learning activities, students are free to express their opinions, conduct discussions both with students and with the teacher. This activity is the same as that carried out by Paulo Freire in liberation education, students free themselves to express their opinions

Abstract

This study investigates the factors influencing students' continuance use intention of QRIS at a university in Jakarta. The research aims to explore the role of digital financial literacy, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and perceived security in shaping students' intention to continue using QRIS as a payment tool. A theoretical framework was developed based on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), integrating these constructs to form the model. Data from 205 respondents were collected and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results showed that perceived usefulness (β = 0.268, ρ < 0.05), perceived ease of use (β = 0.225, ρ < 0.001), and perceived security (β = 0.275, ρ < 0.005) significantly influenced students' continuance use intention. However, digital financial literacy (β = 0.069, ρ = 0.366) did not have a significant effect on continuance use intention. These findings contribute to the literature on digital payment adoption, emphasizing the importance of perceived usefulness, ease of use, and security in promoting the sustained use of QRIS among students. The study suggests that enhancing students' perceptions of these factors can drive greater acceptance and continued use of QRIS as a preferred payment method in the digital age.
