Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kebutuhan pengembangan E-LKPD berbasis STEM yang terintegrasi dengan literasi sains pada materi gaya di sekolah dasar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara di lima sekolah dasar yang ada di Jawa Barat serta studi literatur yang relevan terhadap penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru sekolah dasar menyatakan penggunaan E-LKPD dapat memfasilitasi pembelajaran yang lebih interaktif dan mendukung pemahaman konsep gaya secara lebih mendalam. Namun terdapat beberapa kendala yang dihadapi, termasuk ketersediaan bahan ajar yang interaktif untuk menunjang pembelajaran dan keterbatasan pengetahuan guru tentang implementasi STEM dalam pembelajaran. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, diperlukan pengembangan E-LKPD berbasis STEM yang mencakup kegiatan eksperimen, simulasi interaktif, dan penugasan yang dapat mendorong kemampuan berfikir kritis serta kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Kata Kunci: STEM, E-LKPD, Literasi Sains.

Abstract

Pembaruan pendidikan melalui pembelajaran berbasis STEM memiliki potensi besar dalam mengembangkan dan melatih literasi sains peserta didik. Sejalan dengan hal tersebut, perlu dilakukannya perbaikan bahan ajar untuk memfasilitasi membaca siswa. Salah satunya dengan memanfaatkan digital yang mengubah modul menjadi modul elektronik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kebutuhan pengembangan e-modul STEM terintegrasi literasi sains pada materi gaya di sekolah dasar, dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan berupa wawancara dan studi dokumentasi, dengan analisis data menggunakan teknik Miles-Huberman. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran STEM masih belum sepenuhnya diterapkan di semua sekolah dan bahan ajar yang belum sepenuhnya memfasilitasi dengan baik untuk belajar mandiri siswa.Kata Kunci: pembelajaran stem, literasi sains, modul elektronik.

Abstract

Literasi sains merupakan kemampuan penting yang harus dimiliki oleh peserta didik dalam menghadapi tantangan abad ke-21. Pendekatan STEM menjadi salah satu metode yang efektif untuk meningkatkan literasi sains, karena mengintegrasikan berbagai disiplin ilmu yang relevan dengan kehidupan sehari-hari dan perkembangan teknologi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kebutuhan soal tes bermuatan STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) dalam rangka mengevaluasi kemampuan literasi sains di SD. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara semi terstruktur. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, terkait pembelajaran STEM, literasi sains, dan pengembangan soal tes di SD. Adapun hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat kebutuhan akan soal tes bermuatan STEM yang dapat mengukur kemampuan literasi sains peserta didik. Soal-soal tersebut harus mencakup berbagai aspek literasi sains. Selain itu, soal tes juga harus dirancang untuk merangsang minat dan motivasi peserta didik dalam belajar sains. Oleh karena itu, perlunya pengembangan soal tes bermuatan STEM yang inovatif dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan pembelajaran di SD. Melalui analisis kebutuhan ini dapat mendukung upaya untuk mengembangkan soal tes yang dapat mengevaluasi kemampuan literasi sains peserta didik serta mempersiapkan mereka dalam menghadapi tantangan di masa depan, khususnya dalam konteks penerapan pembelajaran dengan pendekatan STEM.

Abstract

Pembelajaran berbasis lingkungan dapat meningkatkan pemahaman peserta didik dengan menghadirkan pengalaman belajar yang kontekstual dan bermakna. Salah satu pendekatan yang dapat diterapkan adalah etnosains, yang mengintegrasikan konsep sains dengan budaya lokal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kebutuhan pengembangan modul pembelajaran IPA berbasis etnosains di sekolah dasar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Partisipan penelitian terdiri dari tiga guru dan lima peserta didik di tiga sekolah dasar di Kota Tasikmalaya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar yang digunakan di sekolah masih berfokus pada buku paket kurikulum standar yang kurang mengakomodasi budaya lokal, sehingga pembelajaran IPA menjadi kurang kontekstual dan menarik bagi peserta didik. Selain itu, peserta didik menunjukkan minat yang tinggi terhadap pembelajaran yang menghubungkan budaya lokal dengan konsep IPA melalui aktivitas praktikum dan eksplorasi. Guru juga menyadari pentingnya inovasi dalam pengembangan bahan ajar yang lebih fleksibel dan kontekstual. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan pengembangan modul berbasis etnosains yang dapat menghubungkan konsep sains dengan budaya lokal, sehingga pembelajaran menjadi lebih relevan, menarik, dan meningkatkan pemahaman peserta didik terhadap materi IPA.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kebutuhan pengembangan asesmen pembelajaran berbasis etnosains pada makanan khas Kecamatan Kawalu untuk peserta didik sekolah dasar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa asesmen berbasis etnosains dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep sains secara kontekstual serta meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. Namun, implementasi asesmen ini masih menghadapi tantangan, seperti keterbatasan perangkat asesmen yang sesuai dengan kearifan lokal serta kurangnya pelatihan bagi pendidik. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini merekomendasikan pengembangan instrumen asesmen yang lebih adaptif terhadap kebutuhan siswa serta integrasi yang lebih luas dalam kurikulum pendidikan dasar.

Abstract

This study discusses the limitations of technology use in science learning in elementary schools, especially in ecosystem material. This study aims to analyze the need for AR-based media in improving students' science literacy. The method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through interviews, observations and documentation. Data analysis was carried out using the Miles and Huberman model which includes data collection, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that schools have adequate facilities but the integration of technology in learning is still limited due to constraints of readiness and internet quota, students experience obstacles in understanding the abstract concept of ecosystems. These findings indicate that AR-based media can support science literacy by providing interactive learning experiences that help students understand complex concepts more effectively. This study emphasizes the importance of integrating innovative learning media to improve science learning in elementary schools

Abstract

The low literacy and numeracy abilities of Indonesian students based on the PISA encourage assessment policies based on literacy and numeracy. This study aims to analyze the feasibility of the items developed and changes in students' understanding of concepts after implementing literacy and numeracy-based learning processes on science subject matter topics related to education for sustainable development. The research method used in this research is the one-group pretest-posttest-design experimental method. Concerning the one-group pretest-posttest-design experimental method, the sample in this study was one whole class. Data was collected through a test instrument for students' conceptual understanding of science subjects. Raw data from students' grades were processed using the Rasch Model analysis. Through Rasch's analysis, the pattern of changes in students' conceptual understanding abilities was identified by comparing the response patterns of problem difficulty and students' abilities. The research results show that the items developed in the test instrument are appropriate for measuring students' abilities. Literacy and numeracy-based learning can improve students' understanding of concepts. Seven out of 53 students were identified as having decreased abilities. Student misconceptions cause it, the types of questions developed, student internal factors, and the teaching materials used. This analysis estimates the effectiveness of educational innovations and student ability in detail.

Abstract

This study aims to improve elementary school students' systems thinking skills through sustainable development-oriented learning. This research method uses an experiment with a quantitative approach to test the effectiveness of developing elementary school students' systems thinking skills. The learning prepare expressly employments the STEL (System Thinking & ESD Learning) learning show which is taken after by 19 basic school understudies in Tasikmalaya City, West Java. The instrument used is an essay test consisting of 8 questions with an assessment rubric made on a scale of 1-3, then the value processing is converted into a maximum score of 100 so that it is easier to analyze the value of elementary school students' systems thinking skills. Information collection was carried out some time recently and after the execution of learning utilizing the STEL model. Generally, the comes about of the pretest-posttest think about of students' systems thinking abilities experienced an insignificant increment. These results provide an overview that elementary school students' systems thinking skills can be developed, only the pretest results of 37.47 and posttest of 49.89 certainly show the results of an increase in students' systems thinking. An important note from the results of this study provides information that systems thinking skills can be developed gradually and sustainably. The learning process through the STEL learning model will prepare understudies to discover the center of environmental issues efficiently and empower understudies to pay more consideration to the affect of each of their exercises and take more mindful activities as it were for environmental, social and economic sustainability.

Abstract

This study aims to identify trends in systems thinking research within the context of science education over the past decade and providing education researchers with a global perspective on the development of systems thinking. The bibliometric analysis research method is a quantitative approach used to analyze scientific literature to identify trends, publication patterns, collaborations between authors or institutions, and emerging research topics in a field of science.  The data used for bibliometric analysis is the research trend of systems thinking in science learning from 2014 to 2024, based on the Scopus database, utilizing the R Package Bibliometric and VosViewer Software. The obtained articles were then processed using thematic analysis techniques with the R Bibliometric Package to analyze primary information, annual scientific publications, article citations per year, total citations of top journals, Sankey diagrams, top author production, countries with the highest productivity, most productive affiliations, and thematic maps. The findings of this study indicate that research on systems thinking in science learning has experienced an annual growth rate of 9.6% and an average citation rate of 13.6 citations per document. Furthermore, it analyzes the thematic mapping of the obtained keywords, where the motor themes in this study such as curriculum, teaching, elementary school, student learning, and system theory are well-developed and essential for shaping research in systems thinking in science learning. The thematic mapping reveals a strong interconnection among three key themes: systems thinking, science learning, and elementary schools. These themes hold significant potential and are highly relevant for further exploration due to their high centrality, yet they remain relatively underexplored to date. The study of systems thinking skills in science learning should also consider previous research findings related to sustainable development goals, climate change, gender similarity, and conceptual frameworks.

Abstract

This study is a literature review aimed at analyzing the adequacy of science learning materials for Phase A elementary school students (grades 1 and 2) in the context of implementing the Kurikulum Merdeka (Independent Curriculum). The background of this research stems from significant changes in Indonesia’s education system through the introduction of the Independent Curriculum, which emphasizes contextual, flexible, and student-centered learning. This approach is also applied to science education at the early primary level, a critical stage in building children’s foundational scientific literacy. The method used in this study is a literature review, with data collected through the identification, search, and selection of various relevant sources such as curriculum documents, textbooks, scholarly articles, and expert opinions. The data were analyzed qualitatively using content analysis and literature synthesis, focusing on aspects such as the definition, structure, breadth, depth, and relevance of the science material, as well as its potential strengths and weaknesses. The results indicate that the science materials for Phase A in the Independent Curriculum show promising potential, particularly through thematic integration and an exploratory approach that aligns with children's developmental stages. However, several challenges remain, including limited conceptual depth, the crucial role of teachers, the availability of learning resources, and the need for holistic assessment tools. In conclusion, the Independent Curriculum provides a positive direction for science learning in Phase A. However, collaboration among various stakeholders is necessary to ensure the adequacy and effectiveness of the materials in building strong scientific literacy from an early age.
