Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis: (1) self regulated learning, dukungan sosial orangtua, dan perilaku prokrastinasi akademik, (2) regulated learning terhadap prokrastinasi akademik, (3) dukungan sosial orangtua terhadap Perilaku Prokrastinasi Akademik, dan (4) menguji korelasi self regulated learning dan dukungan sosial orangtua serta perilaku prokrastinasi akademik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskriptif  jenis korelasi. Pengambilan sampel dengan teknik proportional stratified random sampling diperoleh sebanyak 244 orang siswa. Data dianalisis dengan statistik deskriptif, regresi sederhana, dan regresi berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) tingkat self regulated learning berada pada kategori tinggi, (2) dukungan orang tua juga dalam kategori tinggi, (3) perilaku prokrastinasi akademik dikategorikan tinggi, (4) self regulated learning memberikan hubungan yang signifikan terhadap pengurangan  perilaku prokrastinasi akademik, (5) dukungan sosial orang tua memberikan hubungan`yang signifikan terhadap pengurangan perilaku prokrastinasi akademik dan (6) self regulated learning dan dukungan sosial orang tua secara bersama-sama terhadap pengurangan perilaku prokrastinasi akademik.

Abstract

This research is constrained by the lack of students understanding phenomenon description in carrier planning after graduation from Senior High School 3 Padang. The academic self concept and locus of control are suspected factors affecting students career planning. The aims of this study are (1) to analyze the student’s career planning of the SMAN 3 Padang, (2) to analyze the student’s academic self concept of the SMAN 3, (3) to analyze the student’s locus of control of the SMAN 3 Padang, (4) to examine the contribution of academic self concept to the student’s career planning of the SMAN 3 Padang, (5) to examine the contribution of locus of control to the student’s career planning of the SMAN 3 Padang, (6) to examine the contribution of academic self concept and locus of control to the student’s career planning of the SMAN 3 Padang.  The research uses a quantitative method of descriptive type of correlation. The research population is 358 students, the amount of sample is 189 students. It was selected by proportional stratified random sampling technique. The instrument used is the scale of the likert model. The data are analyzed with descriptive statistics, simple regression, and multiple regression. The findings of the study showed that: (1) the description of planning of carrier is on high category, (2) the description of self academic self concept is on high category, (3) the description locus of control in the internal categories, (4) the academic self concept contributes to increasing of student’s career planning, (5) locus of internal control categories contributes to increased student’s career planning, (6) the academic self concept and locus of control contributes together on improving of student’s career planning. The implication of the result is able to become necessity analysis in Guidance and Counseling service and as a basic in conducting the program.

Abstract

This study aims to describe parenting styles, describe fatigue, describe academic procrastination and examine the relationship between parenting styles and fatigue with academic procrastination. This type of research is quantitative research using descriptive and correlational analysis approaches. In this study, what was described was parenting parents, fatigue and academic procrastination of students. The population in this study were students of class VIII MTsS Al-Hidayah Pasaman Barat, totaling 182 students. The number of samples in this study were 125 students who were taken using a proportional stratified random sampling technique. This study used two data analysis techniques, namely descriptive analysis and correlational analysis. Descriptive analysis was carried out using the percentage formula while correlational analysis used the product moment correlation formula and the calculation was assisted by using the SPSS version 20.0 for windows program. The results showed (1) the level of parenting in general was in the low category, (2) the level of fatigue was generally in the high category, (3) the level of academic procrastination of MtsS Al-Hidayah Pasaman Barat students was generally in the high category and (4) there is a significant relationship between parenting and fatigue with academic procrastination of MTsS Al-Hidayah Pasaman Barat students with a correlation coefficient of 0.704 and a significance level of 0.000. In conclusion, there is a significant relationship between parenting and fatigue with academic procrastination of students at MTsS Al-Hidayah Pasaman Barat. The implications of the research results can be used as input for creating a guidance and counseling service program at MTsS Al-Hidayah Pasaman Barat. Abstract

Academic anxiety experienced by students in the teaching and learning process in schools often inhibits learning achievement optimally even though various counseling, students should be able to develop the potential within themselves without worrying, but here there are many students who cannot explore the potential within themselves so that academic anxiety occurs. for that we need a group guidance service using the bibliotherapy method. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of group guidance services through bibliotherapy to reduce students' academic anxiety. The research methodology used was quasi experiment. The subjects of this study were 8 grade students of MTsN 6 & MTsN 2 Padang with 10 subjects in the experimental group and 10 in the control group. The research instrument used instrument of academic anxiety. The results showed that there were significant differences in the academic anxiety of the experimental group before (pretest) and after (posttest) taking group guidance services with bibliotherapy and could not have a significant difference in the control group's academic anxiety before (pretest) and after (posttest). The implications of this study are as a basis for counselors to reduce students' academic anxiety.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the problems students face regarding interpersonal communication in school. Self-confidence and parental social support are considered factors that could facilitate this problem. The purpose of this study therefore was to determine the extent to which self-confidence and social support of parents contribute to interpersonal communication. This study uses a descriptive correlational quantitative method and the population assessed were 73 students of SMP N 4 Batusangkarf selected by proportional stratified random sampling technique. The instruments used were self-confidence, parental social support and interpersonal communication. Data was collected using the Likert scale model and analyzed using multiple regression method. The results show a significant (58.1%) relationship between self-confidence and social support of parents with interpersonal communication.
