Abstract

Pengajaran pemrograman komputer dalam konteks teknik mesin sering kali terbatas pada konsep-konsep dasar, tanpa penerapan langsung dalam kasus-kasus teknik mesin yang konkret. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas penerapan image processing dalam pembelajaran pemrograman komputer melalui pendekatan flipped classroom, dengan fokus pada aplikasi dalam memprediksi laju korosi. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus di kelas pemrograman komputer bagi mahasiswa teknik mesin. Pada siklus pertama, metode pembelajaran case method digunakan. Mahasiswa diberikan modul ajar tentang image processing dengan MATLAB dan kasus studi prediksi laju korosi yang harus dipelajari sebelum pertemuan kelas. Pertemuan kelas digunakan untuk diskusi, bimbingan, dan tes untuk mengukur pemahaman dan keterampilan mahasiswa, dengan hasil ketuntasan sebesar 60%. Siklus kedua menggunakan pendekatan pembelajaran berbasis proyek tim (team-based project). Mahasiswa dibagi menjadi kelompok kecil, diberi waktu untuk berdiskusi, dan mengerjakan proyek bersama. Tes yang dilakukan setelah pembelajaran menunjukkan peningkatan ketuntasan hingga 82,31%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan flipped classroom yang dikombinasikan dengan pembelajaran berbasis proyek tim dapat meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan praktis mahasiswa dalam image processing. Implikasi praktis dari penelitian ini termasuk relevansinya dalam meningkatkan efektivitas pengajaran pemrograman komputer dalam pendidikan teknik mesin.

Abstract

Kurangnya pemahaman siswa dalam konsep menggambar mesin dalam pemanfaatan software Computer Aided Design (CAD) mata pelajaran gambar teknik manufaktur yang disebabkan belum optimalnya penerapan model pembelajaran sehingga hasil belajar yang diharapkan belum tercapai. Tujuan penelitan ini untuk melihat apakah penerapan model Project Based Learning (PBL) mampu memberikan pengaruh terhadap hasil belajar gambar teknik manufaktur di SMK Negeri 1 Tanjung Raya. Penelitian ini merupakan peneltian quasi-eksperimen dengan menggunakan pre eksperiment one group pretest posttest. Subjek Penelitian yaitu kelas XI TPM SMK Negeri 1 Tanjung Raya dengan jumlah 20 orang siswa. Pada uji pretest dilakukan sebelum diberikan penerapan model pembelajaran PBL dan uji posttest dilakukan setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran project based learning, teknik yang digunakan untuk menganalisis hasil penelitian yaitu teknik uji f. Hasil data penelitian dengan rata rata skor pada uji posttest yaitu 71,94 lebih tinggi dibandingkan pada kelas pretest yaitu 58,38. Berdasarkan uji hipotesis pada uji f diperoleh nilai sig 0,00 < sig 0,05 dapat disimpulkan adanya pengaruh yang signifikan antarra model project based learning terhadap peningkayan hasil belajar gambar teknik manufaktur di SMK Negeri 1 Tanjung Raya.

Abstract

This bibliometric analysis aimed to explore the publication trends of the last decade, especially on modern learning paradigms, focusing on implementing Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality in vocational education. This research specifically addressed the analysis of current technology trends, gaps, challenges, strengths, and opportunities of AR and VR during 2015-2024. This research method used the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) procedures to collect data from publications focusing on high-quality research results. The data were analyzed and identified using MS Excel software and VOSviewer to visualize various critical metadata obtained in the Scopus database. Notably, publication trends and distribution patterns, the contributions of authors, the geographical spread of publications, and the identification of significant publication sources were all essentials for analyzing the opportunities and challenges within the context of vocational education. The results of this study identified an augmenting growth of publication trends from 2015-2023, including the country of origin of prominent authors such as Bacca et al. (Spain), Babu et al. (India), and Lerner et al. (Germany), whose research results have been proven to impact the primary reference in the field of vocational education in the utilization of AR and VR. They are widely cited and have become the primary references for other authors. Consequently, this bibliometric-based research underscores the potential of AR and VR technologies to improve vocational education by enhancing motivation, educational access, personalized learning, collaboration, and reducing operational costs.

Abstract

Virtual Reality (VR) has become an option to be used as a learning medium in engineering. A study of the effectiveness of VR is needed to determine which fields and types of learning are suitable to employ it. This work aims to reveal the effectiveness of virtual reality media on students' cognitive and practice skills. The role of the media as a tool to make learning more efficient and effective. VR media brings learning in the virtual world that seems to be done in real terms. The research method used was a quasi-experiment with a posttest-only control group design research approach. The research subject consisted of two homogeneous classes. Learning outcomes are evaluated by testing students' cognitive and practice skills. The novelty of this research is the creation of learning media that are identical to the welding process simulator. Visual practice places and equipment in virtual form through VR are made to resemble practice places and equipment used in real situations. This similarity aims to provide concrete information about the welding process. The study revealed that the use of VR media significantly affected their knowledge. However, it did not significantly affect their practice skills. VR has not been able to provide an experience closer to real-life conditions during welding, such as heat, sparks, and sounds that appear when the electrode touches the workpiece. The distance between the electrode and the workpiece significantly affects the welding result in the welding process.
