Multiplication instruction in elementary schools often relies on abstract presentations without adequate concrete support, resulting in low student achievement. This study investigated the effect of magic glass learning media on fourth-grade students' multiplication learning outcomes at SD Inpres 1 Tondo. A pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design was employed with 26 fourth-grade students selected through saturated sampling. Data were collected using a 20-item multiple-choice test with established content validity (CVI > 0.78) and reliability (α = 0.82). Students completed a pretest, participated in four instructional sessions using magic glass media representing multiplication as repeated addition through cups and counting sticks, then completed a posttest. Data analysis utilized descriptive statistics and paired-samples t-test (α = 0.05) following Shapiro-Wilk normality testing. Mean scores increased significantly from 35.40 (SD = 15.19) to 75.78 (SD = 18.65), representing a 114% improvement. The paired-samples t-test revealed statistically significant differences (t = -11.251, df = 25, p < 0.001). Low-performing students demonstrated particularly dramatic gains, while engagement remained consistently high throughout treatment sessions. Findings confirm that magic glass media effectively enhances multiplication learning by aligning with students' concrete operational developmental stage, consistent with Piagetian and Brunerian theories. The media facilitates meaningful conceptual understanding through hands-on manipulation, particularly benefiting struggling learners. Magic glass learning media represents an accessible, evidence-based intervention for improving elementary mathematics instruction.

Low IPAS learning outcomes among sixth-grade students at Alkhairaat Tondo Elementary School, attributed to conventional teacher-centered instruction, necessitated pedagogical intervention to enhance student achievement and engagement. This study aimed to improve IPAS learning outcomes through systematic implementation of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model. Employing classroom action research based on the Kemmis and McTaggart model, this study was conducted across two cycles with 26 sixth-grade students during October-November 2025. Data were collected through criterion-referenced achievement tests (20 items, KR-20 = 0.82) and validated observation sheets (Cohen's kappa = 0.85) documenting teacher and student activities. Analysis utilized both quantitative descriptive statistics and qualitative rubric-based assessment. Classical completeness increased significantly from 58% in Cycle I to 88% in Cycle II, representing a 30 percentage point improvement. Concurrently, teacher activity performance improved from 66% (adequate) to 91% (very good), while student engagement advanced from 64% to 89%. Notably, mid-range achievers (initial scores 60-75) demonstrated greater gains (average 18 points) compared to lower-achieving students (average 12 points), suggesting differential PBL impact across performance levels. Systematic PBL implementation effectively improves IPAS learning outcomes while enhancing teacher facilitation quality and student engagement. The iterative action research process enabled progressive refinement of instructional practices, though lower-achieving students may require additional scaffolding for equitable outcomes.

Low early reading proficiency among elementary school students remains a persistent challenge in Indonesian primary education, particularly with respect to oral reading dimensions such as pronunciation, intonation, voice clarity, and fluency. Puzzle media has emerged as a promising interactive instructional tool; however, empirical evidence of its effectiveness among third-grade students — a transitional learner cohort — remains limited. This study employed a quantitative quasi-experimental design with a pretest–posttest control group arrangement. The participants comprised 40 third-grade students at SDN Inpres 1 Lasoani, divided equally into an experimental class (n = 20) and a control class (n = 20) using a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected through a validated early reading performance test (reliability coefficient r = .87) assessing four reading aspects, and analysed using a Paired Sample T-Test following confirmed normality (Shapiro-Wilk) and homogeneity (Levene's) assumptions. The experimental class demonstrated a statistically significant improvement in reading skills, with mean scores increasing from 76.97 (pretest) to 96.22 (posttest), yielding t(37) = −2.155 and p = .038 (< .05). Gains were consistent across all four assessed reading dimensions. The findings confirm that puzzle media effectively improves holistic oral reading competencies in Grade 3 students, extending prior research predominantly focused on Grade 1 and Grade 2 learners. The results are interpretable through dual coding theory and support the integration of puzzle media as a structured reading intervention aligned with the Merdeka Belajar differentiated learning framework.

This study aims to determine the effect of the Discovery Learning model on the critical thinking skills of fifth-grade students at SD Inpres 2 Besusu. The research employed a quantitative method with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The population of this study consisted of all fifth-grade students at SD Inpres 2 Besusu, totaling 19 students. The sampling technique used was saturated sampling, in which the entire population was used as the sample due to its relatively small size (fewer than 30 individuals). Therefore, the sample in this study was all 19 fifth-grade students at SD Inpres 2 Besusu. Data collection techniques included a critical thinking skills test, observation sheets, and interviews. The data analysis used in this study comprised descriptive and inferential statistical analysis, assisted by the IBM SPSS Statistics version 30 application. Based on the results and analysis of the research data, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the Discovery Learning model on the students' critical thinking skills in class V at SD Inpres 2 Besusu. This can be seen from the posttest results in the IPAS subject, where the average score was 88.37. The Paired Sample T-Test analysis showed a significance value of 0.000, which is less than 0.05, indicating that the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. This demonstrates that the Discovery Learning model has a positive effect on the critical thinking skills of fifth-grade students at SD Inpres 2 Besusu. This research implies that the implementation of the Discovery Learning model can enhance students' critical thinking skills. Therefore, this model can be more widely integrated into the learning process at SD Inpres 2 Besusu to help students develop analytical and more creative problem-solving skills. Additionally, the findings of this study provide a basis for teachers to use more interactive and discovery-based teaching models to improve the quality of education and students' critical thinking abilities in the future.

This study aims to improve students mathematatics learning outcomes by using the make a match learining model assisted by concrete media made from used goods in class 3 of SD Negeri Watusampu. The research method used in this study is classroom action research (CAR) which is carried out cyclically. The subjects in this study were 23 students of class 3 of SD Negeri Watusampu. The instruments used by researchers in collecting data were observation sheets, evaluation test questions, interviews and documentation. The data analysis techniques used in this study were quantitative data analysis and qualitative data analysis. The result of the study showed that using the make a match learning model assisted by concrete media made from used goods can improve the mathematics learning outcomes of class 3 students of SD Negeri Watusampu. The average value of classical learning completeness in cycle I was 52,17% then in cycle II there was an increase of 34,78% to 86,95%. The number of students who completed cycle I was 12 people, then in cycle II it increased to 20 students. The number of students who did not complete cycle I was 11 people, then in cycle II it decreased to 3 people. Based on the results and discussions that have been described above, it was obtained that by implementing the make a match learing model assisted by concrete media made from used goods, it can improve students’ mathematics learning outcomes in grade 3 of SD Negeri Watusampu. This is indicated by the classical learning completion achieved in cycle I of 52.17% rhen in cycle II it increased to 86,95%.

General Background: Mathematics learning in elementary schools often involves abstract concepts that are difficult for students to understand, requiring appropriate instructional media to support conceptual clarity. Specific Background: Fourth-grade students at SD Inpres Perumnas demonstrated low mathematics learning outcomes due to conventional teaching methods and limited use of interactive media. Knowledge Gap: Previous studies have not specifically examined the use of flashcard learning media in the context of Grade IV students at SD Inpres Perumnas, particularly for semi-abstract mathematical content such as geometric shapes. Aims: This study aims to determine the role of flashcard learning media in improving students’ mathematics learning outcomes. Results: Using a quantitative quasi-experimental design with a one-group pretest–posttest approach involving 28 students, the findings show a substantial increase in mean scores from 38.21 to 86.78, supported by paired sample t-test results with significance <0.001, indicating a statistically significant improvement. Novelty: The study provides empirical evidence within a specific local context and grade level, focusing on visual-concrete learning media for more complex elementary mathematics topics. Implications: Flashcard media can serve as an alternative instructional strategy to facilitate visual understanding, increase student engagement, and support improved learning outcomes in elementary mathematics education. General Background: Elementary science learning requires active and contextual strategies to develop conceptual understanding and scientific skills. Specific Background: Classroom practice remains teacher-centered, limiting student engagement and resulting in low achievement levels, as indicated by pretest scores below the expected standard. Knowledge Gap: Limited integration of simple experimental activities with accessible digital support restricts opportunities for experiential and repeatable learning processes. Aims: This study aims to examine the role of technology-assisted simple experimental learning in improving science learning outcomes. Results: Using a pre-experimental design with one group pretest-posttest involving 16 students, the findings show an increase in mean scores from 49.22 to 80.36, supported by paired sample t-test results (t = -7.347; p = 0.001), indicating a statistically significant difference. Novelty: The integration of QR Code technology as procedural scaffolding enables repeated access to experimental steps, supporting independent and flexible learning. Implications: The findings suggest that combining simple experiments with accessible digital tools can support active learning, improve conceptual understanding, and offer a practical instructional alternative in resource-limited contexts, while highlighting the need for broader designs to strengthen generalizability. This study aims to determine students' ability to think creatively in science learning through the Project Based Learning model for grade V students of SDN 2 Talise. This study uses a type of qualitative research, the subjects in this study are fifth grade teachers and students. The instruments in this study were observation sheets, interviews and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the application of the Project Based Learning learning model for grade V students of SDN 2 Talise in science lessons with ecosystem material and making ecosystem dioramas is able to have a positive impact on the material that has been delivered. In the learning process students are easier to understand the material that has been delivered and in the learning process students are able to develop fluency thinking skills (fluency), flexible thinking skills (flexibillity), originality thinking skills, and detailed thinking skills (elaboration).

The Influence of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) Model on the Learning Outcomes of Fourth-Grade Students at SD Inpres 1 Tanamodindi The problem examined in this study is the low learning outcomes of students in science subjects. This study aims to determine the influence of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model on the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SD Inpres 1 Tanamodindi. This study employed a quasi-experimental design using a non-equivalent pretest–posttest control group design. The population of this study consisted of Class IV A as the experimental group and Class IV B as the control group. The sample included all students from both classes, with 19 students in the experimental class and 19 students in the control class, resulting in a total of 38 participants. Data were collected through tests and documentation. Data analysis involved prerequisite tests, including normality tests and homogeneity tests, followed by hypothesis testing using the IBM SPSS Statistics 25 program. Based on the results of hypothesis testing using the Paired Samples t-test, a significant value (sig. 2-tailed) of 0.000 was obtained from the pretest and posttest scores of the experimental class. Since 0.000 < 0.05, the null hypothesis (H₀) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (H₁) was accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model has a significant influence on the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SD Inpres 1 Tanamodindi.

This study was conducted to address the low levels of creativity and collaboration skills among fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 4 Palu, which were attributed to the use of conventional teaching practices. The objective of this research was to examine the effect of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) instructional model on students' creativity and collaboration skills in science learning. The study employed a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest–posttest. The research subjects were 16 fifth-grade students selected through saturated sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires, observations, and documentation, and analyzed using a Paired-Samples T-Test in SPSS version 30. The results revealed a significant increase in students' creativity scores, with the mean rising from 19.38 in the pretest to 28.69 in the posttest. Similarly, the mean collaboration score increased from 21.13 to 31.88. Hypothesis testing showed a significance value of less than 0.001 (Sig. < 0.05), indicating that the Problem-Based Learning model had a statistically significant effect on improving students' creativity and collaboration skills. These findings suggest that implementing PBL effectively enhances essential 21st-century skills in elementary science learning.
