Abstract

One of the causes of newborn death due to complications in childbirth is premature rupture of membranes (PROM). Premature rupture of membranes can cause several complications in infants including prematurity, asphyxia, hypoxia, neonatal infection, morbidity and mortality. This study aims to identify the outcome of newborns with premature rupture of membranes at Wava Husada Hospital Kepanjen Malang. The research design used is descriptive quantitative with a retrospective approach. The sampling technique used is total sampling with a sample size of 150 respondents. The research variable is the description of newborns in mothers giving birth with premature rupture of membranes. The instruments used are medical records and checklists. The analysis used is descriptive analysis. The results showed that almost all of the babies born at term (83.3%), had normal baby weight (86.7%), had mild asphyxia (99.3%), none of the babies had newborn infections (100 %), premature rupture of membranes >12 hours (51.3%,) delivery by caesarean section (88.7%), and mothers who experienced PROM without other complications (74%). Pregnant women are expected to increase knowledge about PROM, prevention efforts, complications caused by PROM, and other conditions that aggravate these complications. Abstract

Mother's concern before pregnancy to check her nutritional status is still very lacking, this will result in the undetectability of nutritional problems experienced by mothers, such as anemia and chronic energy deficiency. The study aimed to determine the attitudes of pregnant women about antenatal care using the Maternal Cycle Simulation media. The design of this study was pre-experimental with One Group Pre-Test-Post Test design. The sample used was pregnant women aged 22-28 weeks who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria of 27 people with simple random sampling technique. Health education was carried out in three meetings, including pretest and provision of media Maternal Cycle Simulation, explanation of media use, demonstration of media use, re-demonstration by pregnant women using media, re-examination and monitoring using media, and posttest. The results showed 74% of mothers had a negative attitude in antenatal care at the time of the pretest and there was a decrease in the negative attitude rate to 15% after receiving the Maternal Cycle Simulation media with a p value <0.001, which means there was an influence of the use of the Maternal Cycle Simulation media towards the attitude of pregnant women about antenatal care care. Abstract

This study examines the optimization of societal fiqh understanding within the Banjar community, focusing on the bahilah practice related to the payment of fidyah for missed prayers and fasting by the deceased in the Pahuluan community, South Kalimantan. The purpose of this research is to analyze how bahilah—a local tradition for fulfilling religious obligations for the deceased—is conducted and to understand its legal implications within the framework of Islamic law. The research employs a qualitative approach, utilizing observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. Data was collected from the Pahuluan community to gather primary insights into the practice of bahilah and the challenges faced by heirs in fulfilling fidyah obligations. The findings indicate that the practice of bahilah often involves the use of the concept of hilah (legal stratagem) to ease the burden on the heirs. However, this practice also raises issues, such as the validity of fidyah payments when the recipients do not meet the criteria of being impoverished, and the execution of grants that do not always comply with the essential requirements of Islamic law. The implications of this study highlight the need for increased community understanding of the proper implementation of bahilah in accordance with Islamic legal principles, as well as the necessity for oversight and guidance from religious scholars or authorities to ensure that this tradition aligns with the applicable Sharia regulations.
