Abstract

People all across the world now have easier access to comparable goods because to globalization.  If we want to keep the economy stable via international commerce, we must take the exchange rate into account.  The purpose of this research is to determine how well the theories of International Fisher Effect, Purchasing Power Parity, and Interest Rate Parity explain the volatility of the Rupiah against the currency of ASEAN nations.  Finding out how the Rupiah has changed due to interest rate and inflation differentials between Indonesia and other ASEAN nations is the main goal of this research.  From 2014 to 2023, this research compares the Rupiah's currency rate, interest rates, and inflation rates to those of ASEAN nations.  The Random Effect model, run using the E-Views 12 program, is used in this study's panel data regression analysis.  Based on the study's findings, the International Fisher Effect idea makes sense here. However, the other two theories show the opposite results. Thus, this indicates a theoretical deviation that causes the theory to be invalid.

Abstract

Abstract

This study investigates the management practices in Quranic education centers (TPQs), focusing on three key domains: education personnel management, facilities and infrastructure, and public relations. Using a qualitative approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis in selected TPQs. The findings reveal significant challenges in recruiting and retaining qualified educators, disparities in facilities due to varying levels of community support, and a lack of structured public relations strategies. However, centers with strong community engagement demonstrated better outcomes in all three domains. The study highlights the interconnectedness of these management areas, where improvements in one domain positively impact others. An integrated management framework is proposed to address these challenges, emphasizing the alignment of personnel management, infrastructure development, and public relations. This framework offers practical implications for policymakers and practitioners to enhance the quality and sustainability of TPQs. Future research is recommended to explore the applicability of this framework in diverse cultural and regional contexts.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to assess how high school students' motivation to learn can be increased by using the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning paradigm, which is based on historical learning films. A quasi-experimental quantitative method is employed in the research process. Through student knowledge assessments, interviews, and observational methods, data was gathered. Using SPSS 25 software, t-and N-Gain tests were used to quantitatively analyze the data. Following the implementation of the learning model, the t-test yielded a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.000, which was less than 0.05, according to the data, showing a significant difference in the students' post-test scores. In addition, the N-Gain analysis showed an increase from the low category (0.22) in the pretest to the medium category (0.61) in the posttest, indicating the effectiveness of this learning model in increasing students' learning motivation. The study's conclusion is that the PjBL learning model, which is based on historical learning videos, significantly affects students' motivation to learn. This finding may be used as a guide to create future learning strategies that are even more successful.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) identify the various difficulties experienced by students in learning the Fiqh Book, and (2) analyze the factors causing these difficulties and the efforts made by the council of ustadz in teaching the Fiqh Book (Mabādi’ul Fiqhiyyah) at the Hidayatul Qur'an Islamic Boarding School, Batanghari, East Lampung. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method as a type of field study. The study results indicate that students experience difficulties in learning the Fiqh Book in terms of reading Arabic texts, understanding the material, and low interest and motivation to learn. This failure is caused by internal factors such as physical and psychological conditions, learning styles and attitudes, and lack of concentration; external factors such as educational background, teaching methods, and social interaction. The efforts of the ustadz in overcoming this include providing additional lessons, enriching Arabic language understanding, practicing reading bare and pegon Arabic texts, personal motivation, and periodic learning evaluations. In addition, the active involvement of students in the learning process also contributes to overcoming learning obstacles. Students actively asking questions, discussing, and showing learning initiatives tend to experience increased understanding. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of synergy between the teaching strategies of the ustadz and the active participation of the students in creating an effective Fiqh learning process in the Islamic boarding school environment.

Abstract

This study investigates the use of code-mixing and code-switching in Pavolia Reine’s live streams, applying sociolinguistic frameworks by Poplack and Muysken to analyze these phenomena in a live-streaming context. Using a qualitative descriptive method, data were collected through transcriptions of her streams, focusing on identifying and categorizing instances of code-mixing and code-switching. The findings show that insertional code-mixing dominates, accounting for 97% of all cases, while alternation and congruent lexicalization represent 2% and 1%, respectively. This reflects the bilingual and multicultural environment of Hololive Indonesia, where Indonesian speakers frequently incorporate English and Japanese to reach broader audiences. Inter-sentential switching is the most common form of code-switching at 53%, followed by intra-sentential switching (29%) and tag switching (18%). These patterns demonstrate how linguistic strategies are employed to connect with local and international viewers, highlighting the multilingual backgrounds of the speakers. Overall, the study underscores the complexity and fluid integration of multiple languages in online streaming, illustrating how digital communication reshapes linguistic practices in real time

Abstract

This study analyzes the characterization of Enola Holmes, the main character in the 2020 film Enola Holmes, through Erik Erikson's psychosocial development theory. Both literature and film provide valuable insights into personal psychology and societal challenges. Erikson's stages—Identity vs. Role Confusion, Autonomy vs. Shame and Doubt, Initiative vs. Guilt, and Trust vs. Mistrust—are well illustrated in Enola's character development. Using qualitative descriptive methods, this study examines conversations and scenarios that highlight Enola's growth and independence, influenced by her relationship with her mother and the social norms of Victorian England. The analysis demonstrates how Erikson's psychosocial theory, which sheds light on identity development within a patriarchal cultural context, aligns with Enola's journey of self-discovery and resilience. The findings reveal that Enola's journey is marked by a strong sense of independence, exploration of identity, and resistance to societal expectations, underscoring the principles that individuals hold dear. This analysis, grounded in Erik Erikson's theory, provides insights into individual development as it relates to the character of Enola Holmes in the film.

Abstract

Although labore unions can help their members in solving problems related to industrial relations, it still takes a long time due to the lack of it’s ability to negotiate with companies. This can be seen in the process of resolving layoffs and work status at PT X which took 4 years, from 2013 to 2016 to reach an agreement. This research aims to describe the obstacles faced by labor unions in conducting negotiations and the efforts they have made to improve their capabilities. This research is a qualitative descriptive study and using purposive sampling techniques to selected the informant and data collection is done through in-depth interviews and literature studies. The results showed that the obstacles faced by labor unions in conducting negotiations with companies came from internal and from the company. Internal barriers are not yet the maximum function and structure of LaborUnions, lack of understanding and capacity in using bargaining strategies, lack of motivation to solve workers' problems, there are differences in interpretation among management related to negotiating material, lack of support from workers. Obstacles from the company include laying off workers and threatening workers who participated in strikes. The efforts made by the union to overcome these obstacles are forming a solid and strong negotiating team, following negotiation training conducted by the Federation of Indonesian Metal Trade Unions
