Abstract

This research aims to describe the strategy for improving the effectiveness of Daycare education through program evaluation using the Context, Input, Process, Product (CIPP) Model. The study adopts an evaluative research method with 10 Daycare centers in Depok City, West Java, Indonesia, as the research subjects. The sampling technique used in this research is purposive sampling. Data collection methods include interviews, questionnaires, observations, and documentation studies. Data analysis techniques involve data collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusion. The research findings are as follows: (1) The evaluation of the context component indicates that the establishment of Daycare Education Institutions does not refer to clear documents issued by the City Education Office; (2) The evaluation of the input component shows that there is generally no specific program for improving the standards of Daycare Educators; (3) The evaluation of the process component reveals that Daycare centers are well-prepared for admitting new students, and all necessary facilities, curriculum, and teachers are well-prepared; (4) The evaluation of the product component shows that Daycare centers have prepared and implemented the learning process according to the established program, but the outcomes for students are not yet evident. The CIPP evaluation model can enhance the effectiveness of Daycare education.

Abstract

This quantitative research is a continuation of the qualitative research conducted on 205 private high school teachers on how teacher creativity can be influenced and enhanced. The purpose of this quantitative research is to build a model and prove whether ICT literacy, work engagement, and personal knowledge management can influence directly or indirectly increasing teacher creativity. The sampling technique uses a proportional random sampling method and determines the amount of sample based on the Taro Yamane formula. The data was collected using a questionnaire by distributing instruments to teachers in 20 private high school schools in Bogor city with data analysis techniques using Partial Least Square–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS–SEM) with the help using SmartPLS 3.0 software. The results of this study indicate that: (1) the whole variable exogenous ICT literacy, work engagement, and personal knowledge management has a positive effect on teacher creativity, either directly or indirectly; (2) work engagement and personal knowledge management have a significant effect on teacher creativity, while ICT literacy will have a significant effect on teacher creativity if through the intervening variables work engagement and/or through personal knowledge management; (3) ICT literacy has a direct and significant positive effect on work engagement and personal knowledge management; (4) the intervening variables of personal knowledge management and work engagement are proven to be able to play a full mediation role in increasing the influence of ICT literacy on creativity.

Abstract

This research focuses on modeling and optimizing teacher professional commitment strengthening through a comprehensive research methodology encompassing preliminary, qualitative, and quantitative stages. The study employs a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods, including the POP-SDM method, to develop a theoretical model and hypotheses. Data collection involves surveys, interviews, and questionnaires among school principals and experienced teachers. The study spans from October 2022 to July 2024, with data collected from 16 boarding high schools in Sukabumi Regency, West Java Province. The results reveal significant insights into various variables influencing teacher professional commitment, including empowerment, servant leadership, personality, quality of work life, and job satisfaction. Descriptive statistical analyses demonstrate high levels of commitment, empowerment, servant leadership, personality traits, work-life quality, and job satisfaction among respondents. Structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) is employed to construct and evaluate variable constructs, assess path coefficients, and test hypotheses. The model demonstrates strong predictive power and significant direct and indirect effects on teacher professional commitment. Overall, the findings suggest that factors such as empowerment, servant leadership, personality, quality of work life, and job satisfaction significantly influence teacher professional commitment. The study provides insights for educators and policymakers to enhance teacher commitment through targeted interventions, focusing on areas identified for improvement based on expert assessments and statistical analyses.
