Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategic role of the village government in Ogobayas in empowering youth through local values-based programs in religion and sports. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, utilizing participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. Informants were selected purposively, and data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, with triangulation and member checking to ensure validity. The findings reveal that the village government effectively fosters active youth participation through inclusive forums, revitalizes local religious values as a foundation for character development, and promotes sports as a medium of social cohesion and collective identity. Supportive policies and responsive infrastructure further enhance the effectiveness of youth empowerment programs. The study reinforces theoretical frameworks of citizen participation, social theology, and social capital, while offering practical implications for inclusive and sustainable rural development policies, especially in peripheral areas with limited infrastructure but high youth potential.

Abstract

Kata kunci: Non-Engineered construction, Fraksi Volume tulangan, Kuat lentur, Pola retak   Abstract   Non-Engineered Constructions are simple buildings established by non-skilled building workers without supervisions of an architect. Non-Engineered constructions are frequently damaged because of earthquakes. Such buildings are simple housing, either Unconfined masonry building or Simple concrete building. In order to strengthening these type of buildings, Ferrocement with Wire-mesh reinforcement can be used. This study is intended to explore the flexural behavior of reinforced concrete beam plastered with PVC Coated Welded wire-mesh Ferrocement. This study is conducted experimentally using reinforced concrete beams strengthened with Ferrocement loaded statically. The Volume Fraction of Welded wire-mesh is considered as variable in this study. From the tests carried out, it is concluded that all of the beams tested exhibit ductile behavior. The crack width and crack distance observed on the beam are significantly affected by the Ferrocement. Nominal flexural strength of the beams increases lightly as the Volume fraction of reinforcement increase; however, the crack width is reduced remarkably as the Volume Fraction of wire-mesh rise.   Keywords: Non-Engineered construction, Volume fraction of reinforcement, Flexural strength, Crack patern

Abstract

Abstract

Self-Compacting Concrete (SCC) is one of the key innovations in modern concrete technology, offering the ability to flow and fill formwork automatically without the need for mechanical compaction, made possible through the use of specialized chemical admixtures. This self-flowing property is derived from the high deformability of fresh concrete. To assess these characteristics, a slump flow test is conducted to evaluate the concrete’s ability to spread under its own weight. This study focuses on the uniformity of compressive strength in SCC incorporating two different types of admixtures. The concrete specimens were cylindrical, with a diameter of 15 cm and a height of 30 cm. Two types of superplasticizers SIKA ViscoCrete 3155N and SIKA Sikacim Concrete were used in the SCC mixtures for each sample group. Subsequently, the uniformity of the concrete was evaluated through destructive testing, specifically compressive strength testing, to determine the resulting compressive strength values. Based on the compressive strength tests conducted at 3 days of age, the following average values were obtained: the control (normal) concrete yielded an average compressive strength of 15.14 MPa; the SCC with 0.8% SIKA ViscoCrete 3155N achieved an average strength of 21.04 MPa; while the 2% dosage of the same admixture resulted in a lower average strength of 11.68 MPa. For SCC with 1% SIKA Sikacim Concrete, the average compressive strength was 12.78 MPa, and at 2% dosage, the average strength was 13.38 MPa.

Abstract

The inclusion of the natural environment and spiritual values in traditional healing mantras has been part of the lives of traditional communities in various cultures around the world, including the Malay community in Karimunting village, West Kalimantan, Indonesia. This study aims to describe the elements of the natural environment and spiritual values in the healing mantras of the Malay community in Karimunting Village by applying Greg Garrard’s ecocriticism approach. The data in this study was collected through observation and in-depth interviews with three belian in Karimunting village. The data obtained was subsequently recorded, transcribed, and analyzed using thematic analysis techniques. The research findings reveal that there are ten healing mantras practiced by the belian of the Malay community in Karimunting Village. Each mantra functions not only as a medium of healing but also as a representation of the interconnectedness between humans, the natural environment, and spiritual forces. Elements of the natural environment are reflected in the use of components such as leaves, water, wood, stones, wind, and animals, which are positioned as active entities possessing healing energy and symbols of ecological balance. Meanwhile, the dimension of spirituality is manifested through religious diction, such as the invocation of the names of Allah and the Prophet Muhammad, underscoring the belief that recovery ultimately originates from Divine power. This research contributes not only as an inventory of oral literature and local wisdom of the Malay community in utilizing their natural environment but also as a reference for similar research in the future.

Abstract

Empty Fruit Bunches (EFB) is palm oil industry waste which has very large volume compared with another commodity of agro-industry waste in Indonesia. Trichoderma sp. and Larva Black Soldier Fly (BSF) with bioconversion method can be used as probelem resolve of EFB. The EFB material was obtained from Palm Oil Factory in Banten. EFB was researched in Indonesian Ornamental Fish Culture Research Institute in Depok and the result test was taken at the Laboratory of Animal Science and Technology of Bogor Agricultural University. The percentage of Trichoderma sp. fermentation (5%, 10% and 20% ) affected EFB palatability of BSF larvae and the fermented EFB with 10 % of Trichoderma sp. has a feasibility to be used as medium of BSF larvae with yield of 73.28 gram on day 4 th from the initial weight of mini larvae BSF 5 grams. At the bioconversion stage using BSF larvae with a dose of 10% Trichoderma sp. (5 gram, 15 gram and 25 gram) was obtained significant result on the initial weight of mini larvae 5 gram to 230.34 gram from fermented EFB weight of 550 gram on day 8th  , so that the average yield of average larvae was obtained By 39%. Result of proximate test of larvae on dry condition 100% obtained crude protein content (PK) 35.40 - 42.31% and crude fats (LK) 3.33 – 36.41%. Therefore, by using this test result, it will be possible to be used as poultry feed ingredient candidate in the future.
