Abstract

Bilimbi is a plant with many benefits. One of the product diversifications made from the bilimbi is a jam. Making bilimbi jam by mixing fruit fiber and sugar and then cooking it for 5 minutes.  Nowadays, fruit jams with various flavor variants are liked by people from various circles, so the bilimbi jam has an excellent opportunity to be developed. This study aimed to determine the effect of the number of ingredients and the amount of sugar on the physicochemical properties of bilimbi jam, and,: to determine the optimal composition of raw materials using response surface methodology (RSM). Optimization using response surface methodology is able to get the best treatment combination effectively. The analysis of the physicochemical properties of bilimbi jam included pH, total dissolved solids, water content, vitamin C, greasing power, chroma color, and hue. The raw material composition for making bilimbi jam is the amount of bilimbi (X₁) of 659 g and the amount of sugar (X₂) of 137 g. The predicted response value for pH (Y₁) is 3.2, TPT (Y₂) is 16.01, vitamin C (Y₃) is 20 mg/100 g, moisture content (Y₄) is 30 %, oil power (Y₅) is 9.51 cm, color chroma (Y₆) of 48.86, and hue (Y7) of 78.17.

Abstract

Abstrak. Pemanfaatan energi panas buangan dari proses kondensasi asap cair belum banyak diaplikasikan, selama ini panas dibuang ke media air yang disirkulasikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendesain dan menguji fungsional unit penghasil asap cair yang terintegrasi dengan pengering kabinet. Penelitian ini terdiri dari tiga tahapan yaitu perancangan (desain struktural dan fungsional), pabrikasi, dan uji fungsional hasil rancangan. Perekayasaan ini menghasilkan unit penghasil asap cair yang terintegrasi dengan pengering kabinet. Alat ini terdiri dari empat komponen utama yaitu tabung pirolisator, pipa penukar panas, pengering kabinet serta kondensor. Berdasarkan uji fungsional, alat ini telah dapat menghasilkan asap cair dengan volume berkisar antara 2300 – 3182 ml selama 5 jam proses pembakaran tempurung kelapa. Wadah 1 merupakan wadah yang paling banyak menampung asap cair dibandingkan wadah 2, hal ini menunjukan proses kondensasi lebih banyak terjadi pada pipa penukar panas Design and Construction of Machine for Liquid Smoke Production Integrated with Cabinet DryerAbstract. Utilization of released heat energy from the condensation of liquid smoke has not been widely applied. Recently, the heat generated from the process was discharged and circulated into water as a cooling media. This research aimed to design and test a functional of liquid unit integrated with a dryer cabinet. The study consisted of three steps including design (structural and functional design), manufacturing, and testing a functional of results designed. This research and development produced liquid smoke integrated with the dryer cabinet. This machine consisted of four main components including tube of pirolisator, heat exchanger, condenser and dryer cabinet. Based on the functional test, this machine had been able to produce liquid smoke, ranged from 2300 to 3182 ml for 5 hours burning process of coconut shells. The first container was a container that received much more liquid smoke compared with the second container 2.  This research revealed that condensation process occurs more frequently in the heat exchanger pipe.

Abstract

Standardization of Working Time at Cocoa Processing Unit, Rimbun Cooperative, Pidie JayaABSTRACT. Rimbun Cooperative is a business unit operating a chocolate factory producing several chocolate products such as cocoa fat, cocoa powder, 3 in 1 instant drinks (sachets), and chocolate bars. This research aims to measure standard times of operators in all working stations of the chocolate factory. These standards comprised the standards in roasting, peeling, pasting, pressing, powdering, powder sieving, powder mixing, dough mixing, refining, and chonching working stations. The data were directly collected using Time Study method with Stop Watch. The samples were randomly selected with five (5) repetitions; and the standard times were measured using Westinghouse Method to quantify performance and allowance factors. The result shows that standard times of operators in each working station are as follows: roasting (36 minutes), peeling (193 minutes), pasting (276 minutes), pressing (78 minutes), powdering (17 minutes), powder sieving (14 minutes), powder mixing (36 minutes), dough mixing (17 minutes), refining (30 minutes), and chonching (30 minutes). In peeling, pasting, powdering, powder sieving working stations, standard times of operators cannot be separated with working times of machines because the operators are required to run the machines (sequence). In general, standard times of operators, after calculation, are larger than direct records because during the working times, operators would not or could not use allowance factors for personal uses, such as for going to bathroom, drinking, and socializing with their colleagues as means to reduce stress or boredom.

Abstract

Kelapa sawit merupakan tanaman yang menghasilkan CPO dan inti sawit. Salah satu tahapan proses dalam produksi inti sawit adalah proses pemecahan nut menghasilkan inti dan cangkang dengan menggunakan mesin ripple mill. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis efisiensi kinerja mesin ripple mill menggunakan metode overall equipment effectiveness (OEE). Penelitian ini juga bertujuan mengidentifikasi sebab yang mempengaruhi rendahnya kinerja mesin ripple mill dan akibatnya dengan menggunakan diagram fishbone. Prosedur penelitian ini dilakukan melalui beberapa tahapan yaitu menganalisis availability ratio, performance ratio, quality ratio, dan nilai OEE, serta penyebab rendahnya efisiensi kinerja mesin ripple mill. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan dapat diketahui bahwa nilai rata-rata dari availability ratio, performance ratio, quality ratio, dan nilai OEE adalah masing-masing 70,08%, 69,57%, 100%, dan 48,75%. Dengan diagram fishbone, penelitian ini bisa mengetahui penyebab terjadinya downtime yang terjadi sehingga dilakukan usulan perbaikan untuk perusahaan kedepannya. Faktor internal yang diamati untuk menggambar diagram fishbone ada 4 (empat) faktor, yaitu sumber daya manusia (SDM), metode, mesin, dan material, serta 2 (dua) faktor eksternal yaitu faktor lingkungan dan pemerintah. Setelah dianalisis, kemudian dilakukan rekomendasi perbaikan.

Abstract

Open and Relational Theology, developed by Thomas Jay Oord, presents a controversial theological paradigm that emphasizes God’s openness and human free will as determinative factors for the future. This concept challenges traditional understandings of divine sovereignty and foreknowledge. This study aims to critically analyze the theological foundations of Open and Relational Theology, examine its implications for the doctrine of God’s sovereignty, and evaluate its consistency with biblical hermeneutics. Employing a qualitative approach, this research utilizes doctrinal analysis and comparative literature review. Primary data consists of Thomas Jay Oord’s works and related systematic theological literature, while secondary data includes theological journals and academic critiques of Open Theism. The findings reveal that Oord’s Open and Relational Theology constructs a mutual and interdependent God-human relationship, wherein divine foreknowledge is limited by human free will. This concept implies an indeterministic and probabilistic future, which stands in contrast to the doctrine of divine sovereignty in orthodox theology. Hermeneutical analysis uncovers inconsistencies with the biblical narrative of God's sovereign plan. Although Oord’s Open and Relational Theology offers a potential solution to the problem of theodicy, it fundamentally weakens the concept of divine sovereignty and introduces the risk of theological relativism in scriptural interpretation. Its practical implications may significantly alter the foundations of orthodox Christian faith.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze news texts about the 2024 Election published by the Tempo.co Instagram account through Norman Fairclough's critical discourse analysis approach. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, focusing on experiential, relational, and expressive value in the text displayed. Data were collected through reading and note-taking techniques, and the validity of the data was tested through triangulation. The study results show that experiential value is evident from frequently repeated ideological vocabulary, metaphors, and lexical terms that convey complex meanings. Relational value is seen through formal and informal words, which indicate the social relationship between political actors and the audience. Meanwhile, expressive value is reflected in the positive and negative evaluations used in the text, describing the social and political identity of the figures reported. Through the process of text production and consumption, news on Tempo.co Instagram is interpreted differently by the audience, allowing for the formation of various perspectives in understanding current political issues. This study shows how election discourse on social media can create critical interpretations in society and shape public opinion.

Abstract

The Polbeng Research Vessel is a ship that will be built by Politeknik Negeri Bengkalis (Polbeng) in collaboration with CV. Fatih Bahari Engineering. This vessel is made of High Density Polythene (HDPE) plastic, with the main dimensions of the ship: length (LOA) is 9 metres, breadth (B) is 2.2 metres, height (H) is 1.2 metres, and it uses an 85 HP outboat engine. This vessel's comfort study was conducted to see the ship's performance against equipment and humans in supporting research activities carried out by Polbeng. There are 4 cases in the study where there are 2 wave heights, namely 0.2 metres and 0.4 metres; each wave height is taken from 2 directions of waves hitting the ship, namely the beam seas direction (900) and the head seas direction (1800). There are 3 motions analysed, namely heave, roll, and pitch movements. The results of the ship's motion show that the roll motion in the Beam Seas wave direction has a more significant motion when compared to other motions. The analysis results show that the motion is in accordance with the theory that small ships for roll motions have shorter turnaround arms. Overall, this ship's motion is still common and meets the ship's comfort criteria based on the criteria issued by NORDFORSK 1987, STANAG 4154, U.S. Coast Guard (USCG), ISO 2631/1, ISO 2631/3, and BS. 6841:1987

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis representasi tiga tahap perkembangan pemikiran masyarakat Indonesia menurut teori Auguste Comte, yakni tahap teologis, metafisik, dan positivistic dalam novel Bumi Manusia karya Pramoedya Ananta Toer. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah kualitatif deskriptif-analitis. Sumber data utama berupa teks novel Bumi Manusia, sementara data pendukung berasal dari literatur terkait teori sosiologi sastra dan konteks sosial novel. Data dikumpulkan melalui teknik baca dan catat, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan metode analisis isi yang berfokus pada pengelompokan dan interpretasi data sesuai teori yang digunakan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tahap teologis tercermin dalam narasi yang menggambarkan keyakinan terhadap kekuatan supranatural, seperti pandangan terhadap Annelies sebagai "kekasih para dewa." Tahap metafisik terlihat dalam refleksi filosofis terkait status sosial dan moralitas, seperti kritik terhadap budaya patriarki kolonial yang merendahkan perempuan pribumi. Tahap positivistik tergambar dalam penghargaan terhadap ilmu pengetahuan, pendidikan, dan rasionalitas modern, seperti dalam pengakuan Minke terhadap pentingnya teknologi cetak. Penelitian ini berkontribusi pada kajian sosiologi sastra dengan menawarkan perspektif evolusi pemikiran masyarakat yang tercermin dalam Bumi Manusia. Implikasinya, pembaca dapat memahami novel Bumi Manusia sebagai cerminan perubahan sosial dan intelektual, sekaligus memperoleh wawasan tentang relevansi sejarah pemikiran tersebut terhadap kondisi masyarakat kontemporer.

Abstract

Rumah Sakit sebagai sarana pelayanan kesehatan, tempat berkumpulnya orang sakit maupun orang sehat dapat menjadi tempat penularan penyakit, gangguan kesehatan serta kemungkinan terjadinya pencemaran lingkungan, sehingga perlunya upaya kebersihan lantai rumah sakit yang memeiliki peran penting dalam mencegah insfeksi nosokomial. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui perbandingan angka kuman lantai ruang isolasi, ruang perawatan sebelum dan sesudah pengepelan di RSUD Pangeran Jaya Sumitra Kotabaru. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain pre test – post test dengan teknik purposive sampling. Angka kuman lantai diukur dengan metode swab sebelum dan sesudah pengepelan lantai, sampel diambil di ruang isolasi dan ruang perawatan dengan jumlah 8 sampel di RSUD Pangeran Jaya Sumitra Kotabaru. Data di analisis menggunakan uji Paired Sample Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara angka kuman lantai ruang isolasi dan ruang perawatan sebelum dan sesudah pengepelan lantai dengan nilai sig (2-tailed) 0,017 < 0,05. Perlu dilakukan upaya khuauanya oleh pihak sanitasi sumah sakit berupa evaluasi metode pembersihan untuk meningkatkan efektivitas tingkat kebersihan dan mengurasi risiko penyebaran kuman, serta melakukan inspeksi sanitasi ruangan dan bangunan secara rutin untuk menjaga kebersihan dan Kesehatan lingkungan Rumah Sakit.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and describe the relationship between women and nature in the novel Perempuan yang Menunggu di Lorong Menuju Laut by Dian Purnomo. The theory used in this study is Vandana Shiva's ecofeminism theory, which highlights the relationship between the exploitation of nature and the oppression of women and how women have an important role in maintaining ecological balance. This study uses a qualitative method. The content analysis technique was used in this study. The study's results, namely: a) the role of women in protecting nature (environmental justice), obtained a dominant percentage of 10.72%. This confirms that the struggle of women in this novel focuses on ecological protection as a form of resistance to the exploitation of natural resources in Sangihe; b) local knowledge data 5.51% shows how cultural heritage and community wisdom play an important role in efforts to protect the environment; c) natural condition data 2.83% reflects the real impact of exploitation on the ecosystem and life of the Sangihe Community; d) data on the relationship between women and nature 2.12% confirms the close relationship between environmental sustainability and the role of women as guardians of ecological balance; and e) data on feminine values in maintaining the balance between women and nature 1.73%. This illustrates how caring, sustainability, and harmony contribute to environmental protection. The findings demonstrate the close relationship between women and nature that reflects the values of environmental feminism, especially environmental justice and the role of women in maintaining ecological balance. The contribution of this study is to strengthen the understanding of the importance of women's roles in environmental issues and ecofeminism in Indonesia, as well as its relevance in the context of environmental policies and social movements.Keywords: Ecofeminism, Sangihe Women, Mining, Environmental Exploitation
