Abstract

Penelitian ini betujuan untuk mengetahui apa saja hubungan antara variabel yaitu training, performance management, business strategy, succession planning, dan individual competency dan bagaimana variabel ini saling mempengaruhi. Objek penelitian yang diambil adalah bisnis keluarga yang terdapat di kota Batam. Penelitian kali ini akan membahas tentang perencanaan suksesi pada suatu bisnis keluarga. Bisnis keluarga adalah bisnis yang dimiliki dan dikelola oleh suatu keluarga dan juga mempertahankan visi secara turun temurun. Semakin pesatnya persaingan antar bisnis keluarga membuat pentingnya untuk memiliki rencana suksesi, mengharuskan untuk memikirkan succession planning untuk masa yang akan datang agar dapat bertahan dan bersaing dengan pesaing. Succession planning adalah sesuatu yang harus dilakukan pada bisnis keluarga seiringnya waktu berjalan atau disaat pergantian dari generasi lama ke generasi baru. Metode pengambilan sampel diambil sebanyak 232 sampel. Hasil yang didapati dari pengujian yang telah dilakukan bahwa adanya hubungan signifikan antara training, performance management, dan business strategy terhadap succession planning yang berhasil dimediasi oleh individual competency.

Abstract

Sumber daya manusia merupakan salah satu faktor dalam kemajuan suatu perusahaan. Didalam perusahaan terdapat banyak karyawan yang bekerja dan diperlukan adanya analisis kinerja karyawan, dalam melakukan analisis tentu tidak dapat dilakukan secara manual. Sehingga dengan memanfaatkan alat untuk menganalisa karyawan, maka seorang HRD akan lebih mudah dalam menganalisa karyawannya dan diperlukan alat untuk melakukan analisis contohnya dengan menggunakan alat yang disediakan oleh Alat Analisa SDM.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas pentingnya proses pengambilan keputusan yang efektif dalam meningkatkan efisiensi operasional di sektor perbankan. Pengambilan keputusan yang efektif dapat membantu bank mengidentifikasi dan menyelesaikan masalah dengan lebih cepat dan efisien, yang pada akhirnya akan meningkatkan layanan pelanggan dan kepuasan pelanggan. Proses pengambilan keputusan biasanya melibatkan mengidentifikasi masalah atau peluang, menganalisis situasi, menetapkan tujuan yang spesifik, mengembangkan strategi alternatif, mengevaluasi setiap strategi, menerapkan strategi yang dipilih, dan mengevaluasi keberhasilannya. Aspek internal dan eksternal, kekuatan dan kelemahan organisasi, Kebutuhan dan keinginan pelanggan, juga dapat membantu dalam mengevaluasi strategi alternatif dan memilih yang paling sesuai. Selain itu, faktor eksternal seperti kebijakan pemerintah, persaingan, teknologi, dan kondisi pasar juga harus dipertimbangkan. Secara keseluruhan, pengambilan keputusan yang efektif dapat meningkatkan daya saing dan profitabilitas bank di pasar. Abstract

Human resources are one of the most important assets owned by a business. In running a business, business owners have an obligation to ensure that human resources are able to carry out their job and responsibility precisely as well as efficiently. This can be done with job analysis, by analysing the work of each position the owner can obtain job description along with job description. Job analysis can make it easier for owners to choose the suitable human resources that are suited in one work position. As the business goes on, there is time to measure employee performance. Hence, there is a need to conduct a system that can make it easier for the owner to make an assessment by implementing performance appraisal system. Assessment indicators can be obtained from job descriptions that is obtained when carrying out job analysis. By carrying out job analysis and implementing the system, businesses can improve the overall employee work efficiency. On this research, job analysis and performance appraisal system were carried out at Rumah Makan Jodoh which is a micro business that sells various of Chinese and Indonesians cuisine. Rumah Makan Jodoh had been established since 2004. The method used in this research was observation and interviews with business owner. From the process of interviewing with owner it became aware that there is no precise responsibility of each position of the workers, therefore in this research will be conducting job analysis and implementing performance appraisal system to increase the overall work efficiency. This implementation lasted for three months. The results of this implementation were declared successful and the initial goal was achieved, which is placing the right employees in the right positions. The business owner also stated that this implementation had increased the overall work efficiency of employees.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze issues that become problems related to company performance and how the process of making strategic decisions on these problems, especially in the oil and natural gas sector companies. The research uses an Australian unit oil and gas company which currently has a project in Indonesia, specifically in Batam City. Methods of data collection were obtained through interviews and brainstorming with corporate leaders and project teams from the sample company. The root causes of the company's problems are analyzed through a SWOT analysis, then the problem risk analysis is sorted based on priority scale. The results of the analysis found that there are six main problems that are often found in companies and can affect corporate performance. The accuracy of project completion is a problem with the highest level of risk. Accidents and design engineering have a high risk, while human resource management, raw material supply, and alternative energy have a moderate risk.

Abstract

Labour is one of the most important things in measuring the competitiveness of a country. Indonesia's workforce is ranked 51 out of 63 studied by the International Institute for Management Development (IMD) in the World Talent Ranking in 2022. This can be seen based on statistical data on the level of labour productivity released in 2022 by the ILOSTAT (International Labor Organization) agency that Indonesia is still in 107th place out of 185 countries at US $ 13.1 per hour. This study was conducted to examine the effect of work discipline and work motivation on employee productivity with work competence as mediation in Food and Beverage MSMEs in Batam. The research method used is a quantitative approach. The research collected respondents using a questionnaire method through gform for 400 samples. The data were analyzed using SPSS to analyze descriptive data and Smart PLS to test research hypotheses. The results showed that the variables of work discipline and work motivation directly affect employee productivity and indirectly affect through work competency.

Abstract

Globalisation has broadened market prospects for Indonesian industries and concurrently expanded employment opportunities for its citizens. A critical determinant of company improvement is employee performance. This study is centred on identifying factors that influence employee performance, specifically focusing on the mediating role of job satisfaction. The target demographic for this research comprised employees working in shopping malls in Batam City, encompassing 379 respondents who were reached through questionnaire distribution. The methodology involved a descriptive statistical approach and the application of Partial Least Squares (PLS) for data analysis. The findings of the study highlight that organisational commitment, employee communication, and internal branding significantly and positively influence employee performance, with job satisfaction acting as a mediator. This suggests that these factors when harmonised with enhanced job satisfaction, contribute substantially to improved employee performance. This research offers valuable insights for businesses, especially within the retail sector, seeking to enhance employee productivity and overall organisational effectiveness.

Abstract

This research investigates the impact of job satisfaction and compensation on employee performance in a 4-star hotel in Batam City, utilizing work motivation as a mediator. Job satisfaction and compensation are recognized as crucial factors influencing both work motivation and employee performance. The administration of a questionnaire to 380 hotel employees in Batam City yielded positive and significant correlations between job satisfaction, compensation, work motivation, and employee performance, as revealed by PLS analysis. Work motivation emerges as a significant mediator in the relationships between job satisfaction and employee performance, as well as between compensation and employee performance. Abstract

The main purpose of this study is to determine the factors of work motivation, work facilities, compensation and work environment affect the quality of work of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) banking namely PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia, PT Bank Mandiri and PT Bank Negara Indonesia in the city of Batam. This research is descriptive quantitative research in which data collection uses primary data (questionnaires) containing questions about the variables studied. The target population of this study are employees of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) banking companies in Batam City such as PT Bank Mandiri, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia, and PT Bank Negara Indonesia. Then the sample in this study the author set 100 samples using stratified random sampling technique. The results showed that the variables of work motivation, work facilities and compensation do not affect the quality of work. While the work environment variable is the right variable in influencing the quality of work in three State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) banks PT Bank Mandiri, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia and PT Bank Negara Indonesia.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi yang terus menerus dan kerja digital telah memicu perubahan dalam proses kerja. Termasuk penggunaan ruang kantor yang lebih efisien dengan menggunakan ruang kerja yang fleksibel atau 'non-teritorial', sebuah praktik yang juga dikenal sebagai 'hot-desking'. Keberhasilan seperti itu Inisiatif sangat tergantung pada sikap dan adaptasi perilaku karyawan. Namun, ada kebutuhan untuk memahami 'bagaimana' adaptasi terhadap perubahan tersebut secara lebih mendalam. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk memeriksa pengaruh sumber daya manusia terhadap adaptive organization change pada perusahaan industri Batam. Penelitian ini merupakan bentuk penelitian kausal-kommparatif yang melakukan pengukuran beberapa variabel dan menguji hubungan diantaranya. Metode penelitian ini ialah dengan menggunakan teknik non-probability sampling. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa: 1) adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara variabel komunikasi dengan perubahan organisasi, dengan T-Statistic sebesar 6,879 dan P-Value sebesar 0,000, 2) adanya hubungan yang signifikan secara statistik antara variabel terkait komitmen kerja dan perubahan organisasi, dengan T-Static sebesar 4,484 dan P-Value sebesar 0,000, 3) terdapat hubungan yang signifikan secara statistik antara kedua variabel T-statistik (nilai 3,671, kepemimpinan transformasional dan partisipasi kerja, P-value 0,008), 3) nilai T statik sebesar 5,243 dan nilai P sebesar 0,009 dari variabel komunikasi dan komitmen kerja menunjukkan hubungan yang signifikan secara statistik antara kedua variabel tersebut.
