Abstract

The slope stability angle of the surface landslide stability depends on the friction coefficient between the rock particles in the area. Measurement of slope stability is very useful for the safety of miners in mining areas. Measurement of slope stability is based on the friction coefficient. Measurements are made with a friction coefficient measuring instrument that has been designed and tested. Rock samples were taken at 3 rock mines around Mount Pengsong in West Lombok Regency. The measurement of the friction coefficient was carried out at the Physics Laboratory of the University of Mataram. The measurement results of the friction coefficient are then converted into slope stability angles. The results show that the slope stability angle in the mountains around the rock quarry around Mount Pengsong has a maximum value 5,71 degree of dry sample and 81,0 degree of moisture sample.

Abstract

The aircraft used in this study is the upper wing type which has the advantage of flight stability. This upper wing aircraft was designed by the researchers themselves with three different types of wings with a wing span of 1.35m and a fuse lag of 0.925 meters. There are four main forces that work when the plane is in the air, namely lift, thrust, air resistance and gravity. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that the heavier the aircraft unit being flown, the greater the minimum thrust required to fly the aircraft. The measurement results of the 3 aircraft weights, namely 917 grams, require a thrust of 2030 grams of force, whereas for a total aircraft weight of 1,230 grams a thrust of 2510 grams is required, and at an aircraft weight of 1495 grams a minimum thrust of 3040 grams is required. The results also show that the thrust generated is not linear with the throttle position

Abstract

The objective of this study was to describe students' abilities through Project Based Learning in Basic Physics courses with aeromodelling aircraft manufacturing projects. This research was conducted using a One-Shot Case Study design with subjects consisting of a classroom with a total of 57 students in the teaching and education faculties. Research data obtained from pretest - posttest analysis. Data analysis with percentage technique was then processed descriptively. The results showed that students' comprehension abilities increased with a significant increase in grades. From this study it can be concluded that the Project Based Learning learning model can improve students' understanding abilities

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of cognitive style on students' critical thinking abilities. This research uses a quasi-experimental method with a factorial design research design. The research subjects consisted of class XI MAN 1 Central Lombok students who were divided into experimental classes and control classes. The experimental class uses the PBL model, while the control class uses a conventional learning model. Research instruments include critical thinking ability tests and the Group Embedded Figures Test (GEFT) cognitive style test. Before the critical thinking ability test instrument is given, a test of the instrument is first carried out, namely a validity and reliability test. level of difficulty, and distinguishing power. The research results show that the significant level value is 0.001 which is smaller than α which is equal to 0.05 (0.000<0.05). These findings indicate that there is an influence of cognitive style on students' critical thinking abilities.

Abstract

The purpose of the research to determine the effect of Project Based Learning (PjBL) model on student learning outcomes in optical instruments. The sampling technique used purposive sampling, obtained class XI MIPA 4 as experimental class and XI MIPA 5 as control class. The research design used was a nonequivalent control group design. The experimental class will be given treatment using the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model, while the control class will use the expository model (conventional learning). Learning outcomes abilities measured in the cognitive domain include: C1) remembering, C2) understanding, C3) applying, C4) analyzing, C5) evaluating, and C6) creating. The instrument used was 10 multiple choice questions. Data were analyzed using parametric statistics, namely Manova. The results showed a sinificance value of 0.000 < 0.05 and a value of Rcount > Rtable where 0.359 > 0.350, so H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted. So can be concluded that there is an influence of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model on scientific literacy and student learning outcomes in optical equipment material.

Abstract

A tensimeter is an instrument works with concept of physics used to measure blood pressure. The measured blood pressure is the relative pressure between the pressure inside the blood vessels compared to the pressure of the atmosphere. Blood pressure measurements using a digital tensimeter are much more acurate than measurements using a aneroid tensimeter. Measurements with an aneroid sphygmomanometer at a hospital in the city of Mataram showed a measurement error up to 20 mmHg compared to a digital sphygmomanometer. Source of error consist of two main factors ie. Instrument error and human error. From this research it was found that measurements using a digital sphygmo-manometer are more accurate, so the use of this type of sphygmomanometer is highly recommended for clinical measurements in hospitals and health hospitals.

Abstract

This development research aims to produce a product in the form of a Student Workshees (known LKPD) based on a problem-based learning model that is feasible, practical and effective for improving students' mastery of concepts. This research is included in Research and Development (R&D) with a 4D model, which consists of defining, designing, developing, and disseminating. The product developed is Newton's Law LKPD supported by other independent curriculum tools: Learning Outcomes, Learning Goal Flow, Teaching Modules, and concept mastery test instruments. Data collection techniques use validation sheets, learning implementation observation sheets, student response questionnaires, and test instruments. The validity of the product was assessed by three expert validators, who were physics lecturers, and three practitioner validators, who were physics subject teachers. Their evaluations were performed using a Likert scale. Practicality is obtained from the teacher's observation sheet and student response questionnaires regarding learning. Effectiveness was obtained from the results of limited product trials in the form of an increase in pretest and posttest scores, which were analyzed using the n-gain test. The results of the validity of the product developed have a percentage, namely LKPD 92.12%; Learning Achievement 92.08%; Flow of Learning Objectives 92.60%; Teaching modules 89.78% and test instruments 91.15% with very valid and reliable categories above 75%, so the product can be said to be suitable for use. The results of the product's practicality were in the form of an implementation sheet by the teacher. Student responses of 92.08% and 82.10% were written in the convenient category. The results of the n-gain test for students' concept mastery were 0.74 in the medium category and included in the very effective criteria. Thus, the LKPD, Learning Outcomes, Learning Goal Flow, Teaching Modules and test instruments produced are feasible, practical and effective in improving students' mastery of concepts.
