The condition of children in orphanages who experience psychological pressure because they have to enter the new environment and new habits and away from their families causes them to have a negative self-concept. Negative self-concepts will form despicable attitudes and behaviors that will inhibit their physical and mental growth and development. Therefore, efforts are needed to restore their psychological with personal-social guidance and counseling so that children have a positive self-concept. The purpose of this study is to analyze the social-personal guidance and counseling program at Ar-Rahmah Orphanage in making teenage self-concepts. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques carried out by observation, interviews, and documentation. The results shows that: personal-social guidance and counseling program at the Ar-Rahmah Orphanage had not yet been found in a structured and systematic written form. The form of activities of the personal-social guidance and counseling program at the orphanage consists of basic services and responsive services. Basic services include recitation, division of duty picks, muhadarah, learning English, habituation in worship and learning to knit. The form of responsive services is a face-to-face meeting between caregivers and orphanage children once a week and provides guidance for children who have problems.

Factors Affecting Palm Farmers’ Decisions to Dispense Plantage-Product Zakat in Labuhanbatu Selatan Regency Amalia Agustin Syn; Khalifah Muhammad Ali; Didin Hafidhuddin

Zakat is one of the five points in rukun Islam and consists of two types: zakat nafs (soul) and zakat maal (wealth). One of the many kinds of zakat maal is plantage-product zakat. Labuhanbatu Selatan Regency is an area that contains 160,785.04 hectares of palm plantation land as recorded in 2016. The area also produced 7,493,696.18 tons of Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB) in the same year. The objective of this study is to identify the potential of plantage-product zakat (specifically palm plantage) and analyze the factors that affect farmers’ decision to dispense plantage-product zakat in Labuhanbatu Selatan Regency. Logistic regression analysis was the method of analysis used in this study. Based on data obtained from Dinas Perkebunan Provinsi Sumatera Utara 2016, the potential of plantage-product zakat in Labuhanbatu Selatan Regency reached 25.6 billion rupiahs in 2014; 21.6 billion rupiahs in 2015, and 370.4 billion rupiahs in 2016. The variables that significantly affected farmers’ decisions to dispense plantage-product zakat were comprehension of zakat, faith, rewards, Islamic study, and frequency of worship.

This study attempts to formulate strategies in strengthening the role of zakat boards and institutions in Indonesia from the perspectives of three zakat experts and practitioners by employing Analytical Network Process (ANP) method. While the indicators of zakat institutions’ performance measured in this study are based on the National Zakat Indices (abbreviated as NZI), the alternatives of strategy are constructed through study of literatures. This study suggests that among four zakat institutions’ indicators, the reporting of zakat shared the highest portion of the important indicators of amil’s performance, followed by the collection, distribution and management of zakat. Besides that, the study also finds that there are strategies that needs to be given top priorities based on its order including optimizing zakat distribution program, strengthening Information and Technology (IT) system, strengthening zakat regulation, improving database of zakat payers and beneficiaries, strengthening the synergy between zakat boards, institutions and other zakat stakeholders, strengthening human resources and improving socialization as well as education pertaining to zakat and the role of zakat boards and institutions.

This reseach aims to find effect of murabahah financing though well-being increasing at teacher around Bogor city. This reseach uses quantitative approach with correlation analysis as analityc tools. Findings this reseach; first, there are effect margin cost though costumer well-being. Second, financing period also has positive effect though costumer well-being. The conclution is murabahah financing on Islamic banking have effort to increase well-being especially teacher at Bogor city.

This thesis which was completed in April 2014 is about the right strategies for fundraising zaka by LAZNAS BMH. The manager needs strategies to optimize zakat fundraising. Through the study of internal factors and external factors LAZNAS BMH organization, an analysis of Internal and External Factors Evaluation in order to obtain the right strategy to be done by the organization LAZNAS BMH although still common. Further research conducted by TOWS matrix to get some viable strategy undertaken by LAZNAS BMH, choose the best strategy of the proper strategies conducted by LAZNAS BMH with Quantitative Strategy Planning Matrix (QSPM) analysis method. After analyzing QSPM, then there are three strategies that best suit the condition of the Internal and External LAZNAS BMH to optimize the collection of zakat funds are: to socialize so that Muslims are interested in LAZNAS BMH, expanding the scope of the zakat, as well as making zakat fund raising strategies and methods of the target receipt of zakat funds.

Aim of this research is to explore extent which relationship between state and zakah in realizing ideals of zakah legal Islamic low. Examined from al-maqashid ash-sharia, jurisprudence, historical, and application in three countries, in order to search for a formula that is most conducive to optimizing the role of zakah. This research use qualitative methods. Begin extracting the information of zakah payment pattern in society, involving 200 respondents randomly which is then combined with a literature study of the book of previous scholars, contemporary, and fatwa. The research also parses comparison zakah management in three countries that run through the zakah management system of the country, namely Brunei Darussalam, Malaysia, and Pakistan. Results of research revealed that zakah can be explored optimally if supported by active role of the State and its rules that support the passage whole system of zakat. To realizing al-maqashid ash- shariah, so zakah should not be separated from the institutional context. Over the leader of a Muslim country still distribute zakat to needy people, and then zakah management that is integrated into state system will bring mashlahah more for people than separate managing.
