Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi penerapan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di sekolah dasar Kota Bandung, dengan fokus pada asesmen awal, perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan asesmen akhir. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah masih terbatasnya penelitian yang mengkaji praktik diferensiasi dalam PAI di tingkat sekolah dasar, padahal pembelajaran PAI memiliki karakteristik khas yang mencakup ranah kognitif, afektif, dan spiritual. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis eksploratif. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipan, dan studi dokumentasi di tiga sekolah dasar yang mewakili sekolah negeri, swasta, dan Islam terpadu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru-guru PAI sudah mulai mengimplementasikan prinsip-prinsip diferensiasi dalam pembelajaran, meskipun dengan tingkat kematangan yang berbeda-beda. Pada tahap asesmen awal, guru berupaya memetakan kesiapan, minat, dan gaya belajar siswa, namun masih menghadapi keterbatasan instrumen. Pada tahap perencanaan, guru di sekolah swasta dan Islam terpadu lebih kreatif dalam menyusun variasi konten, proses, dan produk dibandingkan dengan sekolah negeri. Pelaksanaan pembelajaran menunjukkan dampak positif pada keaktifan, motivasi, dan internalisasi nilai religius siswa, meskipun pelaksanaannya belum konsisten karena kendala waktu, sarana, dan manajemen kelas. Asesmen akhir belum sepenuhnya mencerminkan prinsip diferensiasi, dengan sebagian guru masih menggunakan tes seragam. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa penerapan diferensiasi dalam PAI sudah berkembang ke arah positif namun memerlukan dukungan lebih lanjut berupa pelatihan berkelanjutan, sarana pembelajaran yang memadai, dan kebijakan sekolah yang mendukung. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi kontribusi teoritis dan praktis untuk pengembangan strategi pembelajaran PAI yang lebih inklusif dan bermakna.

Abstract

Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di jenjang sekolah menengah kejuruan (SMK) kerap tereduksi menjadi pemenuhan target kognitif semata, meninggalkan esensi fundamentalnya dalam pembentukan karakter dan soft skill. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali dan mendeskripsikan pengalaman subjektif siswa dalam memaknai kontribusi pembelajaran PAI terhadap pembentukan adab dan budaya belajar. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi fenomenologi, data dikumpulkan melalui observasi naturalistik dan wawancara mendalam terhadap sepuluh siswa berprestasi serta seorang guru PAI di SMKN 1 Cipanas. Hasil analisis tematik hermeneutik mengungkap empat temuan utama. Pertama, internalisasi nilai PAI secara fundamental menggeser paradigma siswa untuk menempatkan adab di atas ilmu, yang termanifestasi dalam kemampuan presisi menyeleksi lingkungan pergaulan toksik. Kedua, penerapan pendekatan dakwah persuasif dan praktik lapangan, seperti simulasi pemulasaraan jenazah, terbukti sukses menciptakan pengalaman belajar bermakna yang meruntuhkan resistensi afektif siswa. Ketiga, kesadaran spiritual yang terbangun berupa rutinitas ibadah mandiri berfungsi sebagai jangkar emosional yang secara efektif menetralisasi tekanan stres akademik vokasional. Keempat, terjadi transformasi pola pikir kesuksesan dari orientasi egosentris-materialistis menuju etos berprestasi holistik yang berdimensi ukhrawi. Temuan ini menyimpulkan bahwa PAI bukanlah mata pelajaran pelengkap kurikulum, melainkan katalisator struktural utama pembentuk soft skill dan resiliensi moral siswa. Implikasi riset ini menawarkan landasan bagi model integrasi pendidikan agama dan vokasi untuk mencetak lulusan industri yang paripurna dan berintegritas tinggi.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze various problems of the evaluation system in the affective domain of Islamic Education. In addition, this research based on Deci and Ryan's Self-Determination Theory. This research is important to do because of the urgency related to the various problems in evaluation system, especially in affective domain related to Islamic education in Indonesia. This research used a qualitative approach and library research to obtain data related to the reality of the evaluation system in affective domain with Deci & Ryan's Self-Determination as a theory. Researchers searched the references from various books and articles through Google Scholar. The research showed that an evaluation system in the affective domain based on Self-Determination theory will give more possibility to teacher for emphasize the fulfilment of three basic human psychological needs such as autonomy, competence, and relatedness. This principle can be applied by measuring student's basic needs and examining how these needs can be fulfilled through the education provided. This research has implications in improving the quality of evaluation system in Indonesia, especially in the affective domain. However, this research only focuses on measuring the affective domain in Islamic Education, so further research must be done. This research focus on the evaluation system of the affective domain in Islamic Education by providing a new point of view with Self-Determination Theory (SDT) as a reference.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the dynamics of the implementation of religious guidance programs in secondary schools in the digital era. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study type conducted in three types of schools: SMA, SMK, and MAN. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation, involving principals, teachers, and students involved in religious activities. The results of the study indicate that the religious guidance program is implemented in a structured and sustainable manner through daily, weekly, and annual activities, such as Quranic recitation, congregational prayers, religious lectures, infaq activities, and commemorations of Islamic holidays. Each type of school has different characteristics, with SMA and SMK tending to emphasize the habituation of religious activities, while MAN shows a stronger integration between learning and worship practices. However, program implementation faces various dynamics in the digital era, such as the use of devices that disrupt concentration, limited teacher supervision, a lack of activity variety, and the influence of the social environment. On the other hand, the use of digital technology in religious activities is still not optimal and tends not to be systematically integrated. The level of student involvement also shows variation, ranging from active as drivers of activities to passive as participants. Thus, the development of innovative, adaptive, and participatory strategies is necessary, such as utilizing interactive digital media in religious activities, involving students as program drivers through religious organizations, and developing more varied activities based on the needs of the digital generation. These strategies are expected to increase student engagement and strengthen the internalization of religious values ​​in daily life.

Abstract

The phenomenon of risky sexual behavior in contemporary urban settings has undergone a significant shift due to the normalization of digital culture. This study aims to explore Islamic Religious Education (IRE) teachers' perceptions of adolescent sexual behavior and to examine the strategic measures undertaken to mitigate it within senior high school contexts. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews with seven IRE teachers in Bandung, Indonesia, selected via purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model, involving data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing to ensure analytical rigor. The findings reveal a normative–religious framework categorizing adolescent dating as sexual deviance based on the sadd al-dharī‘ah (blocking the means to sin) principle. Crucially, this study identifies a Parental Paradox, where parents permit heterosexual dating to prevent perceived greater deviations like LGBT. While teachers implement religious habituation and environmental engineering, effectiveness is hindered by a professional competence gap in psychological counseling. This study advocates for shifting IRE toward a religiously sensitive counseling model. Practically, educational authorities must integrate adolescent psychological competencies into the IRE curriculum to address contemporary sexuality issues more transformatively.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the lack of research on value-based leadership. The purpose of this study was to analyze symbols in the form of language, gestures, speech, and signs by examining their meaning in depth. This study used a qualitative approach and a case study research method. The data collection techniques used were in-depth interviews, observation, and document study to understand the symbols conveyed. The results of the study at SDN Cicenang 1, Cigasong Subdistrict, Majalengka Regency, indicate that the symbols conveyed by the school principal and teachers are the values of family, cooperation, democracy, and vision. These are the messages intended to be conveyed for character development among students at the elementary school level. Symbolism serves as a direct instrument, thereby becoming a role model for those around them.

Abstract

Perubahan kurikulum Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di Indonesia merupakan proses panjang yang dipengaruhi perkembangan sosial dan politik bangsa. Setiap kurikulum membawa cara pandang tersendiri tentang bagaimana ilmu agama dipahami, diajarkan, dan dinilai di sekolah. Sejak tahun 1947 hingga Kurikulum Merdeka, pendekatan tersebut terus berkembang, dari pola yang sangat dogmatis dan berfokus pada aturan, lalu berubah menjadi lebih normatif dan teknis, hingga akhirnya bergerak ke arah yang lebih reflektif, terbuka, dan terhubung dengan berbagai bidang ilmu. Penelitian ini menganalisis transformasi kurikulum PAI sejak tahun 1947 sampai Kurikulum Merdeka melalui perspektif epistemologi. Kajian dilakukan dengan metode studi literatur dari sepuluh sumber utama serta telaah historis kurikulum nasional. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa setiap periode kurikulum memiliki paradigma epistemologis yang khas. Kurikulum awal bersifat dogmatis dan menekankan penyeragaman nilai, sementara kurikulum 1952 dan 1964 menguatkan pendekatan teologis normatif dan moralistik. Kurikulum 1968 sampai 1984 mulai mengarah pada struktur teknis dan rasional. Adapun kurikulum 2006, 2013, dan Kurikulum Merdeka menonjolkan pembelajaran yang reflektif, kontekstual, dan integratif. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa perubahan epistemologi PAI mengikuti dinamika sosial politik, perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan, dan kebutuhan masyarakat. Penelitian ini memberikan gambaran menyeluruh tentang evolusi pemikiran pendidikan Islam di Indonesia serta relevansinya bagi pengembangan kurikulum masa kini dan mendatang.

Abstract

This study aimsed to explore the fundamental problems encountered by teachers in teaching the Qur’an and to analyze these problematics through an integrative theoretical perspective. Employing a qualitative approach with a phenomenological design, data were collected through in-depth interviews with ten Islamic Religious Education teachers from elementary, junior high, and senior high schools in Bandung, Indonesia. The findings reveal several persistented problematics, including limited instructional time, students’ low initial ability to read the Qur’an, minimal parental involvement, heterogeneous student backgrounds, as well as weak student motivation and self-confidence. These problematics indicated that Qur’anic learning is influenced not only by classroom pedagogy but also by broader environmental, social, and psychological factors. Drawing on Bronfenbrenner’s Ecological Systems Theory, Bandura’s Social Learning Theory, and Self-Determination Theory, this study demonstrated that difficulties in Qur’anic learning emerge from complex interactions among family environments, social modeling processes, and students’ basic psychological needs. The implications of this study emphasized the need for holistic and ecosystem-based instructional strategies that strengthen home–school collaboration, provide observable role models, and support students’ motivation and self-confidence in learning the Qur’an. These findings offered valuable insights for teachers, school leaders, and policymakers in improving the quality of Qur’anic instruction in formal education

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low interest of students in learning Islamic Religious Education (PAI), which often becomes a challenge for educators. One of the efforts to address this issue is by adaptively utilizing interactive learning media, such as Wordwall. The aim of this study is to understand the extent to which the use of Wordwall can increase student engagement in Islamic education learning. Using an action research design methodology, this study was conducted through a cycle of action research consisting of four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research involved teachers and eighth-grade students at a junior high school. The results of the study showed a significant increase in student engagement in learning, indicated by the observation scores of students in the first cycle (70%), which increased in the second cycle (85%). Wordwall helped students understand and internalize Islamic religious concepts and values better, especially through activities based on simulation and visualization. The implication of this research is the need for integrating Wordwall media into the PAI curriculum to create more engaging and effective learning for teachers, schools, and students.

Abstract

The modern era has brought significant changes to the world of education. Teachers are the forefront of changing social dynamics, as they are required to possess comprehensive competencies in facing modern developments and progressive social dynamics. This should be used as a study material in building positive perceptions of prospective professional teachers in facing the dynamics of modern society, especially prospective Islamic Religious Education (IRE) teachers. This study aims to describe and analyze the perceptions of prospective Islamic Religious Education (IRE) students in the UPI Science and Islamic Studies Study Program regarding the future careers of IRE teachers in the modern era. This type of research is quantitative descriptive with convenience sampling technique. Data collection was in the form of a Likert-scale questionnaire on IPAI students class of 2022-2023. This study used statistical tools in the form of average value, standard deviation, minimum value, and maximum value. The results of the study revealed that the perception of prospective Islamic Education teacher students in terms of the competency standards that teachers must have, namely: pedagogical competence, there are 68% of student perceptions of Very High, personality competence 69% in the same category, social competence 66%, professional competence 71% and one specific competency for Islamic Education teachers, namely religious competence, at 67%. Thus, this study recommends that the IPAI UPI Study Program can ensure the readiness of prospective Islamic Education teacher students to become competent and professional teachers.
