Abstract

Religious education plays an important role in the character formation and academic achievement of high school students. In the context of an increasingly complex and plural world, religious education serves not only as a means to introduce certain religious teachings, but also as a tool to shape the character of students through important moral values such as discipline, tolerance, and responsibility. This study aims to review the influence of religious education on the character development and academic achievement of high school students, focusing on various models and approaches that can improve both. The method used is a systematic literature review (SLR), referring to the PRISMA 2020 guidelines, to analyze various relevant empirical studies from various scientific sources. The results of the study show that religious education that integrates the values of moderation and multiculturalism has a positive impact on the formation of students' character, as well as improving their academic achievement. The use of digital technology, such as Immersive Virtual Reality (IVR), has also been proven to enrich religious learning experiences, increase emotional engagement, and deepen students' understanding of religious teachings. However, there are challenges in optimizing the involvement of parents and communities in a more holistic religious education process. Therefore, further research is needed to develop a more effective religious education model in supporting the development of students' character and academic achievement. This research emphasizes the importance of integration between religious education, moral values, and technology to create a better learning environment and support students' academic success.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the problems in the literacy and numeracy skills of students at the elementary school level and the factors that affect them in the learning process. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type of research. Data were collected through learning observations, in-depth interviews with classroom teachers and students, and documentation studies on learning outcomes and learning tools. Data analysis techniques are carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing by applying data validity tests through triangulation of sources and techniques. The results of this study show that the literacy and numeracy skills of elementary school students are still relatively low, especially in the aspects of reading comprehension, mathematical reasoning, and the application of concepts in the context of daily life. The main causative factors include low interest in reading, limited variety of learning methods, lack of use of innovative learning media, and lack of support for the learning environment at home. This research has an originality value in mapping literacy and numeracy problems comprehensively based on the context of learning in elementary schools. The findings of this research are expected to be the basis for educators and policy makers in designing learning strategies that are more contextual, innovative, and oriented towards strengthening students' literacy and numeracy skills in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

This paper examines the thoughts of Ibn Thufail's Islamic educational philosophy through his monumental work Hayy Ibn Yaqdzan. The purpose of this paper is to understand the background of Ibn Thufail's life and intellectual journey, to describe the main ideas in the story of Hayy Ibn Yaqdzan, and to analyze the relevance of the concept of Islamic educational philosophy contained therein to the development of science and education today. This study uses a qualitative approach with a library research method. Data were obtained from the primary work of Ibn Thufail Hayy Ibn Yaqdzan and various secondary sources in the form of books, scientific journals, and relevant literature. The data analysis technique was descriptive-analytical, namely by describing the content of the text and then analyzing it philosophically and educationally. The results of the study show that the philosophy of Islamic education in the story of Hayy Ibn Yaqdzan emphasizes the importance of the natural and potential of human reason, nature as a source and medium of learning, education through experience and reflection, stages of intellectual and spiritual development, independent learning, and harmony between reason and revelation. The ultimate goal of Islamic education according to Ibnu Thufail is the achievement of ma'rifatullah and the formation of human beings who are knowledgeable, faithful and have noble character. Ibn Thufail's thoughts remain relevant as a basis for developing holistic and humanistic Islamic education in the modern era.

Abstract

The phenomenon of narrowing the meaning of leadership in modern organizations that are oriented towards technocratic achievements and performance indicators has led to moral degradation and the normalization of ethical deviations. In this context, Islamic leadership demands an ethical foundation that is not only normative, but also touches the inner consciousness of leaders. This article aims to formulate philosophical Sufism as the conceptual basis of Islamic leadership ethics through an examination of the ontological, epistemological, and ethical dimensions in the Sufi tradition. The research uses a qualitative method with a literature review approach, examining classical and modern works by figures such as Ibn 'Arabi and Suhrawardi, as well as contemporary literature on Islamic ethics and leadership. The results of the study show that philosophical Sufism, through the concepts of wahdat al-wujud, fana', and baqa', forms a framework of consciousness that places authority as a trust, not an expansion of the ego. Fana' marks the process of ego decay and the drive for power, while baqa' reinforces the moral steadfastness and moral stability of leaders. Therefore, philosophical Sufism provides an ontological and epistemological foundation for the formation of a more solid ethical disposition than normative and compliance approaches. In conclusion, Islamic leadership ethics should be understood as an architecture of consciousness that shapes actions, not merely rules of behavior. The implications of this study emphasize the need for spiritual guidance and ethical reflection integrated into leadership development so that the values of trustworthiness, justice, and accountability can endure under the pressures of modern organizations
