Abstract

This study aims to improve critical thinking skills and mathematics learning outcomes of 4th grade students at Middle Tingkir 02 Elementary School by applying the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model. The research carried out by Jhon Elliot's class action research type with four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection carried out in two cycles. Each cycle consists of three meetings. Data acquisition was obtained from instruments in the form of critical thinking skills assessment rubrics and tests for Mathematics learning outcomes. The subjects of this study were the 4th grade Tingkir Tengah Elementary School 02 as many as 35 students. The technical data analysis uses descriptive comparative techniques across cycles. The results showed: (1) there was an increase in students' critical thinking skills from the initial condition, cycle 1, and cycle 2. In the initial condition the critical thinking skills in the critical category were only 43%, in the first cycle 76%, and in the second cycle increased to 97%; (2) Mathematics learning outcomes of students also increase. In the initial conditions only 42% of students experienced completeness, in cycle 1 it increased to 51% of students who completed it, and in cycle 2 it increased to 68%.

Abstract

Abstrak. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan collaborative skill siswa dan hasil belajar matematika dengan menggunakan model Teams Games Tournament (TGT). Subjek yang diteliti dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas 4 SDN Tingkir Lor 02 Salatiga dengan jumlah 33 siswa. Permasalahan dalam proses pembelajaran matematika kelas 4 di SDN 02 Tingkir Salatiga ditemukan melalui observasi pada pra siklus yang menunjukan bahwa siswa kurang aktif dan percaya diri dalam menjawab soal saat proses pembelajaran berlangsung. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam 2 siklus dengan menggunakan desain model Kurt Lewin yang terdiri dari empat langkah, yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Instrumen pengumpulan data adalah melalui lembar koesioner atau angket, tes tertulis dan lembar onsevasi. Analisis data yang dilakukan adalah analisis deskriptif komparatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa penerapan model Teams Games Tournament (TGT) dapat meningkatkan collaborative skill siswa dan hasil belajar matematika materi bangun datar pada siswa kelas 4 SDN Tingkir Lor 02 Salatiga semester II tahun pelajaran 2018/2019.Kata Kunci: Teams Games Tournament (TGT), Collaborative Skill, Hasil Belajar

Abstract

This study was aims to explain the efforts to improve creative thinking skills of fifth grade students of SDN Tingkir Lor 02 using the Mind Mapping learning model in the 2018/2019 academic year. This type of research is Classroom Action Research. The research subjects were fifth grade students of SDN Tingkir Lor 02, 2018/2019 school year, totaling 31 students. Data collection techniques in this study used observation. The data analysis technique used is quantitative descriptive and qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. The results showed that the mind mapping learning model could improve the creative thinking skills of fifth grade students of SDN Tingkir Lor 02. After the study was held, the results obtained in the learning cycle I were from 31 students, 9 students (29.03%) received the title "Very High", 17 students (54.84%) received the title "High", 5 students (16.13%) received the title "Enough", and there were no students who received the title "Low" and "Very Low". Then in the second cycle results were obtained as many as 19 students (61.29%) received the title "Very High", 10 students (32.26%) received the title "High", 2 students (6.45%) received the title "Enough" , and not any students received the title "Low" and "Very Low". Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that there is an increase in student creative thinking skills through mind mapping learning models.

Abstract

Purpose?Research on teacher training needs analysis in order to study the development of pedagogical and professional elementary school teachers competencies in Civic education aims to describe the level of pedagogical and professional? elementary school teachers competencies gap and to describe the elementary teacher training needs in order to develop pedagogical and professional deficit. Method?This study is a descriptive research. The study sites spread across the elementary school teachers in 8 subdistricts which are Suruh, Bancak, Bringin, Pabelan, Tengaran, Kaliwungu, Getasan and Ambarawa. The sample consists of 72 teachers, taken by purposive clusters sampling. Data collection technique is using self-evaluation in the form of questionnaire that has been tested for the validity and reliability. Analysis showed that the corrected item-total correlation is 0,794 for the highest and 0,221 for the lowest. Reliability test results showed that the alpha reliability coefficient is 0.945. Moreover, the techniques of data analysis are using descriptive statistical analysis and gap analysis. Findings ?The result of the analysis shows that there are1) the gap of teachers? pedagogic competency is 23.07 %, 2) the gap of teachers professional competency is 30 % , dan 3) the gap of pedagogic and professional competencies includes;(a) developing the curriculum which is related to Civics Education, (b)  conducting assesment and evaluation of the process and result of learning process, (c) using the result of assesment and evaluation for the sake of teaching and learning, (d)  Doing refective action (Class Action Research) to enhance teaching and learning process, (e)  mastering the concept and principle of protection and development of Human Rights and also fair and proper law enforcement, (f) developing the material of civics education creatively, (g)  developing sustainable profesionalism through reflective action, (h) using information technology and communication for self developing action. Significance?This research discusses about the gap of elementary school teachers? competencies, spesifically civics education. Gap occurs when there is discrepancy between ideal competencies and empirical competencies of teachers? performance. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penerapan model Problem Based Learning dan Make A Match dalam pembelajaran Tematik siswa kelas 5 SD Negeri Sidorejo lor 04 dan SD Negeri Sidorejo lor 05 ditinjau dari keterampian berpikir kritis. Subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas 5 SD Negeri Sidorejo Lor 04 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan SD Negeri Sidorejo Lor 05 sebagai kelas kontrol. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian quasi experiment  jenisPretest-Posttest Control Group Design merupakan jenis design yang dipilih. Sampel yang diambil adalah 72 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dan Make A Match dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dalam menyelesaikan soal pada mata pelajaran Tematik di kelas 5 SD Negeri Sidorejo Lor 04 dan SD Negeri Sidorejo Lor 05. Hal tersebut dapat dibuktikan dari meningkatnya keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa dari kelas eksperimen 74,21 (cukup kritis) daan kelas kontrol yaitu 60,82 (tidak kritis). Dari uji Ancova pada muatan Bahasa Indonesia 1,570 taraf signifikansi atau probabilitas 0,214. Oleh karena probabilitas 0,214. Oleh karena probabilitas 0,214 > 0,05, maka Ho diterima, dan Ha ditolak. Sedangkan pada muatan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam  F hitung 0,334 taraf signifikansi atau probabilitas 0,565, maka Ho diterima dan Ha ditolak. Artinya model Problem Based Learning lebih efektif secara signifikan dari pada model Make A Match ditinjau dari keterampilan berpikir kritis Tematik pada peserta didik kelas 5 SD Negeri Sidorejo Lor 04 dan SD Negeri Sidorejo Lor 05.

Abstract

Kurikulum 2013 adalah  kurikulum baru yang masih digunakan hingga saat ini. Dalam kurikulum ini penilaian hasil belajar peserta didik mencakup kompetensi sikap, pengetahuan, dan ketrampilan.. penilaian sikap menjadi salah satu komponen penilaian yang penting dan harus dilakukan, akan tetapi penilaian yang dilakukan dirasa masih kurang, di zaman modern dan semakin pesatnya perkembangan teknologi semakin banyak anak-anak yang kurang memiliki sikap dislipin di sekolah maupun dirumah serta di sekolah masih banyak guru yang melakukan penilaian sikap hanya berdasarkan dari pengamatannya saja. Maka dari itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menciptakan instrumen penilaian sikap untuk menilai sikap disiplin siswa kelas 2 SD. Pengembangan instrumen ini menggunakan skala Likert. Penelitian ini mengunakan jenis penelitian pengembangan R&D. Instrumen sikap sudah melalui tahap uji validitas beberapa ahli, yaitu ahli penilaian, ahli bahasa, dan ahli pembelajaran. Uji validitas bahasa mendapatkan skor 75% sehingga masuk dalam kategori tinggi, uji validitas dari ahli penilaian sikap mendapat skor 80% sehingga masuk dalam kategori tinggi, uji validitas dari ahli pembelajaran mendapatkan skor 74,94% sehingga masuk dalam kategori tinggi. Oleh karena itu maka instrumen skala sikap unuk menilai sikap disiplin siswa kelas 2 SD ini layak untuk digunakan, serta dengan pemilhan instrumen penilain untuk mengukur sikap disiplin yang tepat dapat berpegaruh signifikan terhadap sikap disiplin siswa. Implikasi penelitian ini diharapkan dapat dapat memfasilitasi guru dan siswa dalam mengukur kemampuan afektif khususnya sikap disiplin agar tujuan pendidikan lebih mudah tercapai.

Abstract

The indicator of a professional teachers is the extent to which the teachers has the ability to design instructional well. A good instructional design will effectively achieve the instructional objectives that have been set. The problem that arises is that there is a signal that the teachers implement the learning without first doing systematic instructional design. This paper aims to provide guidance on how instructional components are designed. The instructional components include instructional objectives, materials, model / strategy / method, instructional media and instructional evaluation. The model of instructional component design is using system approach such as Dick model, Carey and Carey. The use of Dick, Carey and Carey model will produce frame of instructional objectives, materials, model / strategy / method, media, and instructional evaluation as needed. Among five components of learning above, the model components and media need to get serious attention because they follow the technology trend. Thus, it needs the signs for choosing and designing the model and the media. The lecturers' view of the process of how the learning act takes place will have implications for the choice of model and the media / delivery technology of the material to be applied. There are two extremes of extreme views about the epistemology of knowledge and the way in which a student's knowledge is acquired, although both are connected through the polar opposite continuum. The two views are: a) an objectivistic view (direct instruction) that is influenced by behavioristic learning theory and cognitive theory, especially information processing theory; b) constructivist views.

Abstract

Mathematics was a lesson that must be published in all levels of education. So, the competence of mathematics should be understood by students. However, there were some problems on student’s mathematics learning outcomes at the first semester in 4th grade of SDN Gendongan 02. There were 39 students, but only 46% (18 students) got score above minimum completeness criteria (KKM). While 54% (21 students) got score under the KKM. The aims of this reseacrh was to increased the mathematics learning outcomes through the synergy of project based learning and meaningful learning. The type of this research was action research by using stringer model. This research held in two cycles with three stages. The stages consist of look, think, and act. The data collection used some instruments such as test, observation sheets, and field notes. The technique of data analysis used comparative descriptive technique. The subjects of the research were students in 4th grade of SDN Gendongan 02. The result of completeness mathematics learning outcome in the first cycle was 72,5% and in the second cycle was 80%. Student’s mathematics learning outcomes in the second cycle were better than the mathematics learning outcomes in the first cycle. Based on the result, the synergy of project based learning and meaningful learning can increase mathematics learning outcomes. Therefore, the synergy of project based learning and meaningful learning were suggested to be applied at mathematics.

Abstract

This study aims to: 1) develop syntax of instructional contextual integrated thematic design models to improve the meaningful learning of elementary students; 2) describe an validity models; and 3) describe the level of effectiveness of the model. This R&D research consists of a preliminary study, model designing and developing to be validated by experts, the model testing. The preliminary field testing involved 4 teachers and 57 elementary students participants. The main field testing involved 8 teachers and 94 students. The research instrument are questionnaires and test. This research findings are: 1) the model steps includes: a) setting a theme; b) adding sub-themes; c) the analysis of SKL, KI, KD and making indicators; d) the making of nets of sub-themes; e) developing syllabus; f) developing RPP; g) compiling a fragment of the teacher's book; and h) developing fragments of student books; 2) the model validity level is in the very high category (86%), the syllabus and lesson plans and the material are in the high category (69.8%; 69%); and 3) the meaningfulness of student learning has increased, namely in the preliminary field test increased from 49.49 in pretest to 69.44 in post-test, and in the broad field test, the value increased greater than 47.98 to 70.43. The statistical test using the t-test ensures that the increase is significant, because the probability value (0.00) is smaller than the value of α = 0.05.

Abstract

The problems that will be solved in Community Engagement (CE) activities for elementary school teachers in Kecamatan Tingkir is the low ability to write scientific paper among teachers. This CE activity was held at SD Tingkir Lor 2 Salatiga. The participants of the CE were 54 elementary school teachers/principals from the Gugus Joko Tingkir. The model of the CE is a participatory training model. The training activities were carried out for three days from April 23-25, and continued online coaching for 2 weeks. Training material covers the Basics of Writing; Problems in Scientific Paper Writing; Searching materials; Introduction of Online Journals, Introduction to Style Guide and How to Submit in Online Journal. Instruments to measure the success of the process and results of training using questionnaires and evaluation sheets.
