Abstract

Bergulirnya era reformasi yang dimotori oleh gerakan mahasiswa membawa perubahan hampir di semua aspek kehidupan berbangsa dan bernegara. Pada masa reformasi Pendidikan Kewarganegraan juga sedang dalam proses perubahan menuju Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan dengan paradigma baru (New Indonesian Civic Education). Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan paradigma baru berorientasi pada terbentuknya masyarakat sipil (civil society) dengan memberdayakan warga negara melalui proses pendidikan agar mampu berperan serta secara aktif dalam sistem pemerintahan negara yang demokratis.Untuk mencapai visi dan misi PKn paradigma baru kemudian dikembangkan tiga kompetensi yang harus dimiliki siswa yang meliputi: pengetahuan kewarganegaraan (civic knowldge), keterampilan kewarganegaraan (civic skills), karakter kewarganegaraan (civic disposition/traits). Keterampilan kewarganegaraan yang akan dikembangkan sangat terkait erat dengan strategi pembelajaran yang digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran kewarganegaraan di sekolah. Salah satu strategi pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan keterampilan kewarganegaraan (civic skills) adalah strategi pembelajaran PKn berbasis portofolio.Strategi pembelajaran berbasis portofolio diyakini sebagai salah satu strategi pembelajaran yang dapat melatih siswa atau mahasiswa berperan serta secara aktif dalam sistem pemerintahan. Melalui penerapan strategi pembelajaran berbasis portofolio peserta didik dilatih untuk turut serta dalam mempengaruhi kebijakan publik yang akan dibuat oleh pemerintah. Strategi ini memungkinkan peserta didik, baik siswa maupun mahasiswa, berlatih memadukan antara konsep yang diperoleh dari buku atau penjelasan guru dengan penerapannya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Keterampilan kewarganegaraan yang diperoleh peserta didik dapat tercermin dari prosedur pengembangan portofolio yang meliputi identifikasi masalah, identifikasi alternatif pemecahan masalah, pemilihan alternatif, penentuan rencana tindakan (action plan), pengembangan portofolio, menyajikan portofolio, dan merefleksikan pengalaman belajar.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the impact of using wordwall gamification media on enhancing educational achievements. The research strategy used in this study was the One-Group pretest-posttest design. The participants consisted of 43 students enrolled in the Chemistry C Education program at Yogyakarta State University, taking the Pancasila Education course. The data collected from the study were analyzed using descriptive statistics. According to the findings of inferential statistical analysis using the t-test method, there was a significant improvement in students' learning outcomes, with a mean gain of 12.31 score points. Given that the t count is statistically significant at a significance level of 0.05, the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected in favor of 3400 of the alternative hypothesis (Ha). This implies a discernible impact of using wordwall gamification media on enhancing learning outcomes. Based on the findings and deliberations, it can be deduced that the utilization of Wordwall media in the context of gamified learning exhibits efficacy in enhancing the educational achievements of 43 participants enrolled in the C Chemical Education program, namely those doing Pancasila Education courses at Yogyakarta State University.

Abstract

AbstractGay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) in Indonesia from the perspective of human rights, Islam, and Pancasila. Research is qualitative using the method of literature study (library research). LGBT based on a religious point of view, especially Islam and Pancasila are declared forbidden and contrary culture. But, the state is in ambiguity in determining policy. The State of Indonesia faces a dilemma between Pancasila and Islam with the consistency and spirit of human rights enforcement in Indonesia since the Reformation Era. This manifestation of ambiguity appears to be the lack of clear regulation of LGBT. This gives rise to discriminatory attitudes towards LGBT people both psychologically, physically socially, culturally, and economically. This study recommends that the state should take a bold stance in determining the point of view of LGBT. LGBT citizens should still be treated equally. The absence of regulation against LGBT is a manifestation of discrimination by the state. The state should give its perspective on LGBT in Indonesia. -------------AbstrakTujuan dari artikel ini ialah untuk mengkaji tentang eksistensi Lesbian, Gay, Biseksual, dan Transgender (LGBT) di Indonesia dari perspektif  hak asasi manusia, Islam, dan Pancasila. Penelitian bersifat kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode kajian literatur (library research). LGBT jika dipandang dari sudut agama khususnya Islam dan Pancasila jelas dinyatakan terlarang dan bertentangan dengan budaya Indonesia. Tapi, negara dalam keambiguan dalam menentukan kebijakan. Negara Indonesia menghadapi dilema antara Pancasila dan Islam dengan konsistensi dan semangat penegakan HAM di Indonesia sejak Era Reformasi. Manifestasi keambiguan ini tampak pada ketiadaan regulasi yang jelas terhadap LGBT. Hal ini menimbulkan sikap diskrimnasi terhadap kalangan LGBT baik secara psikis, fisik secara sosial, budaya, dan ekonomi. Rekomendasi dari kajian ini ialah negara harus berani mengambil sikap dalam menentukan sudut pandang terhadap LGBT. LGBT sebagai warga negara harus tetap diperlakukan sama. Ketiadaan regulasi terhadap kalangan LGBT merupakan manifestasi diskriminasi oleh negara. Negara harus memberikan sudut pandangnya sendiri terhadap LGBT di Indonesia

Abstract

This article aims to find out the utilization of social media-based learning media, namely PosTer (best post) in instagram in strengthening civic disposition. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method. The research subjects were students of class E of the Mathematics Study Program, Yogyakarta State University. Data collection techniques and instruments used observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis used qualitative data analysis interactive model. Data validity tests include credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability tests. The results showed that the application of PosTer media in instagram in Pancasila Education lectures was carried out through three stages, namely explaining the learning topic, determining the value theme, posting in instagram, and the assessment stage carried out in the core activities of the lecture. The application of PosTer media in instagram can strengthen student's civic disposition which includes the characters of tolerance, peace-loving, creative, communicative, responsibility, discipline, and critical thinking. Therefore, it can be concluded that this media can be used in learning to strengthen student's civic disposition.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan dan menganalisis peningkatan prestasi belajar Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan melalui pemanfaatan media pembelajaran RUKAPE berbasis YouTube bagi siswa kelas VIIA  SMP Negeri 1 Panjalu pada tahun pelajaran 2022-2023.  Jenis penelitian menggunakan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan mengembangkan model dari Stephen Kemmis & Robin Mc Taggart berupa siklus perencanaan tindakan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian sejumlah 32 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan  tes, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis stattistik deskriptif dengan mencari nilai rerata, persentase keberhasilan belajar. Kriteria keberhasilan tindakan untuk prestasi belajar adalah dengan batas tuntas 75 (KKM = 75) dan ketuntasan kelas sebesar 85%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan prestasi belajar PPKn pada kondisi awal, siklus I, dan II.  Pada nilai tes kemampuan awal rata-rata kelas 62,5 dengan ketuntasan kelas sebesar 15,6% dan  siswa yang memperoleh nilai = 75 berjumlah 5 siswa. Pada siklus I mengalami peningkatan sebesar 34,3%. Selanjutnya pada siklus II juga mengalami peningkatan sebesar 37,5% dan siswa yang memperoleh nilai = 75 berjumlah 28 siswa. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemanfatan media  pembelajaran RUKAPE berbasis YouTube dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar PPKn pada siswa kelas VII A SMP Negeri 1 Panjalu Tahun Pelajaran 2022-2023.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan strategi penguatan nasionalisme yang dilakukan oleh guru Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan (PPKn), faktor pendukung dan faktor penghambat dalam penguatan nilai nasionalisme generasi muda di daerah perbatasan Indonesia. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah para guru PPKn yang mengikuti program sarjana mendidik di daerah terdepan, terluar, dan tertinggal di wilayah Indonesia. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik wawancara mendalam dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis dengan teknik analisis induktif. Langkah-langkah analisis data yang dilakukan meliputi: reduksi data, kategorisasi, display data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi penguatan nasionalisme yang dilakukan oleh guru PPKn yakni melalui pendekatan budaya dan psikologis dengan pembiasaan dan keteladanan dalam pembelajaran. Faktor-faktor yang mendukung antara lain kemauan peserta didik yang kuat, sinergi sekolah dan pemerintah, dan kehadiran Tentara Nasional Indonesia. Sementara faktor penghambat antara lain: keterbatasan akses informasi sumber belajar mengenai nasionalisme, letak geografis, dan adat istiadat.The strategy to Strengthen Indonesian Border Nationalism. This study aims to describe the strategy of strengthening nationalism carried out by Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKn) teachers, supporting factors and inhibiting factors in strengthening the value of young generation's nationalism in Indonesia's border regions. This research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. Research subjects were PPKn teachers who took part in educating undergraduate programs in the foremost, outermost, and disadvantaged regions in the Indonesian region. Data collection uses in-depth interview techniques and documentation. Data were analyzed by inductive analysis techniques. The steps of data analysis include: data reduction, categorization, data display, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the strategy of strengthening nationalism carried out by PPKn teachers was through cultural and psychological approaches with habituation and exemplary learning. Supporting factors include a strong student will, school and government synergy, and the presence of the Indonesian National Army. While the inhibiting factors include: limited access to information about learning resources about nationalism, geographical location, and local wisdom.

Abstract

Civic Education aims to shape national life through values and character education. Character is an essential trait that defines individuals and distinguishes them from others. This study aims to analyze peer editing techniques in shaping the character of student cooperation in learning Pancasila Education. The peer editing technique involves students acting as peers in providing feedback on infographic tasks carried out in groups. This technique, through its process, teaches students a sense of group unity, develops values of care, and encourages sharing among fellow students—forming a foundation for cooperation in learning. Additionally, students tend to feel more free and comfortable when engaging in activities with their peers, which in turn helps to foster a cooperative character. This research uses a qualitative descriptive methodology and seeks to build an understanding (verstehen) and explanation of human behavior as social beings. It also aims to construct knowledge based on a constructive perspective, derived from the author's experiences and prevailing social values.

Abstract

This study aims to provide a comprehensive analysis of the implementation of Pancasila learning with the goal of improving critical thinking skills through the application of the six thinking hats model. The research adopts a descriptive approach utilizing qualitative methods. The study was conducted at the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta. The participants were selected using purposive techniques based on specific criteria and considerations to ensure the collection of targeted information. Specifically, the research focused on students enrolled in the Manufacturing Engineering Class D. Data collection for this study involved the use of observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. To ensure data validity, triangulation techniques were employed by the researchers. Data analysis followed an interactive model based on the framework developed by Miles and Huberman, encompassing data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The six thinking hats learning model significantly improved students' critical thinking skills and character values. This approach enables students to approach problems from multiple perspectives, becoming more responsive to social issues and navigating real-world challenges. These fosters heightened awareness of societal matters, enabling students to contribute meaningfully to social progress.

Abstract

This research aims to increase the active participation of students in the learning process and civic skills who owned the students through the application of problem-based learning strategies. Civic skills is an essential component to have the student as the embodiment of good citizens. This research is a proactive classroom action research by Schmuck (1997). These research subjects are students and the Department of Preschool and Primary Education, Faculty of Education, State University of Yogyakarta who take courses in basic concepts of Civic Education. Data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation and analyzed by reflecting the observations during the implementation of the action. Data validity checking technique used is the technique of triangulation. The results of this study indicate that the application of problem-based learning strategies in the learning of citizenship can enhance the active participation of students in the learning process. Increasing the active participation of students in the learning process makes the process of teaching and learning can take place effectively. In addition, through this method can improve the civic skills of students that possess. It can be seen from the increasing ability to perform analysis of problems that have been identified by each group. Keywords: Civic Skills, Problem-Based Learning

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning model on student learning outcomes in Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKn). The TGT cooperative learning model aims to improve students' knowledge, abilities, and skills in a fun and competitive learning atmosphere. This study adopted a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest control group design. Participants were selected from class XI MM 1 (control group) and XI FKK (experimental group) at SMK Negeri 1 Cikedung, Indramayu Regency using purposive sampling. The sample consisted of 48 students, 29 in the experimental group and 19 in the control group. Data analysis used SPSS 22, with a learning achievement test instrument consisting of 20 items. The results of the analysis showed that the average score of the experimental group's student learning outcomes was 82.06, while the average score of the control group was 77.89, with the moderate control group category and the high experimental group. Testing the hypothesis using the t test produces t count <t table (1.039 <2.015) with a significance level of 0.025 so that the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. Consequently, there was a significant difference in the post-test results between the control and experimental groups. Thus, the TGT cooperative learning model has a positive effect on the learning outcomes of Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKn), especially regarding the system and dynamics of Pancasila democracy, so that the learning outcomes in the experimental group are high.
