Abstract

Distribusi beras di Indonesia menghadapi tantangan besar akibat kondisi geografis yang luas dan beragam. Efisiensi dalam penyaluran komoditas ini sangat dipengaruhi oleh pemilihan metode distribusi yang tepat, terutama dalam menekan biaya transportasi. Penelitian ini membahas penerapan metode Vogel’s Approximation Method (VAM) dalam menyelesaikan masalah transportasi beras dengan pendekatan Kajian Sistematis Literatur (Systematic Literature Review/SLR). Kajian dilakukan terhadap sejumlah publikasi dalam lima tahun terakhir yang membahas penggunaan VAM dalam konteks distribusi logistik. Selain itu, disertakan simulasi kasus distribusi beras dari beberapa gudang ke sejumlah wilayah tujuan yang permintaannya diketahui. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa metode VAM mampu menghasilkan pola distribusi yang efisien dengan biaya total yang lebih rendah dibandingkan metode konvensional lainnya. Metode ini juga dapat diterapkan dalam berbagai kondisi distribusi, baik pada skala lokal maupun nasional. Dengan demikian, VAM dapat menjadi alternatif solusi dalam perencanaan distribusi beras yang hemat biaya dan terstruktur secara matematis.

Abstract

Penjadwalan produksi merupakan tantangan utama dalam sistem manufaktur yang kompleks dan dinamis. Salah satu pendekatan yang banyak digunakan untuk mengoptimalkan jadwal produksi adalah Program Bilangan Bulat (Integer Programming/IP), khususnya Mixed Integer Linear Programming (MILP). Kajian literatur sistematis ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pemanfaatan IP dalam penjadwalan produksi berdasarkan publikasi ilmiah dari Google Scholar pada periode 2020–2025. Sebanyak 20 artikel yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dianalisis secara tematik untuk mengidentifikasi tren, sektor industri yang dominan, serta integrasi metode pendukung. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa MILP secara konsisten digunakan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi produksi, mengurangi makespan, dan mengoptimalkan alokasi sumber daya. Penggunaan algoritma heuristik dan perangkat lunak seperti Python dan Gurobi turut memperkuat efektivitas penerapan IP, terutama dalam skenario kompleks dan berskala besar. Kajian ini memberikan wawasan penting bagi peneliti dan praktisi dalam merancang strategi penjadwalan berbasis optimasi matematis.

Abstract

This research was development research which produced a product in the form of a mathematics module based on HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skills) questions on social arithmetic material. This research aimed to develop a mathematics module based on HOTS questions on social arithmetic material and to determine the validity, practicality and effectiveness of the module developed. The development model used is the Thiagarajan 4-D model. This module was said to be very valid from the material and media aspects, as can be seen from the results of the average total score for the two validators being 88% and 90% with very valid criteria for materi and media experts. This module was said to be practical, as can be seen from the average score of student responses to the module of 82.78%, which has very practical criteria. This module was said to be effective, as seen from the post-test results, namely that there were 84.62% who had achieved completeness, namely the score obtained was above the KKM (Minimum Completeness Criteria) score. So it can be concluded that the HOTS question-based mathematics module on social arithmetic material was classified as valid, practical and effective for use as student independent teaching material.

Abstract

This study uses a qualitative method with a literature review approach to examine the effectiveness of the two-phase method in solving linear programming problems. The two-phase method is one of the techniques in linear programming used when the objective function does not have a feasible initial solution directly. Through the exploration and analysis of various scientific literature sources from 2019 onwards, this study finds that the two-phase method can systematically provide optimal solutions, especially in complex problems with multiple constraints. Previous research has shown that this method is effective in accelerating the identification of basic feasible solutions and minimizing unnecessary iterations compared to the standard simplex method. Additionally, the two-phase method offers better numerical stability and high reliability in both industrial and educational applications. However, its effectiveness largely depends on the understanding of the algorithm and the ability to design an appropriate mathematical model. The results of this study are expected to contribute theoretically to the development of efficient solution techniques for linear optimization problems.

Abstract

Efficient resource allocation is a major challenge in various sectors, especially when faced with limitations in quantity, time, and cost. This study aims to examine the application of linear programming as an optimization method in solving assignment problems, where a number of resources must be optimally allocated to a number of specific tasks. Through a literature study approach, this study examines various relevant previous study results, especially in the Indonesian context. The results of the study indicate that linear programming is able to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and produce a more balanced task distribution. However, this model has limitations in dealing with non-linear conditions and data uncertainty, so integration with other methods such as fuzzy logic or genetic algorithms is needed. This study is expected to broaden the understanding of the benefits of linear programming and encourage its wider application in quantitative-based decision making.

Abstract

Scheduling and resource allocation are two crucial aspects in various fields, including manufacturing, transportation, education, and information systems. The complexity of decision making is often increased by integer constraints, such as the number of workers, machines, or indivisible working hours. Therefore, the Integer Linear Programming (ILP) approach is one of the methods widely used in solving optimization problems involving discrete variables. This literature study aims to review previous studies that apply ILP in the context of scheduling and resource allocation optimization. This study reviews model approaches, solution techniques such as the branch and bound method and cutting plane, and their implementation in various real cases. The results of the study show that ILP is able to provide optimal or near-optimal solutions in scenarios with complex constraints and integer variables. This study also identifies challenges in implementing ILP models, such as the scale of the problem and high computational requirements, as well as opportunities for further research that includes hybridizing the ILP method with a heuristic approach. Thus, ILP remains a very relevant and effective tool in supporting optimization-based decision making in various sectors.

Abstract

Penelitian ini melakukan tinjauan literatur sistematis mengenai peran analisis sensitivitas dalam model pemrograman linear untuk sektor perdagangan. Metode studi literatur kualitatif deskriptif digunakan dengan menganalisis 15 artikel ilmiah relevan dengan penelitian ini. Hasil menunjukkan analisis sensitivitas berperan penting dalam mengevaluasi ketahanan solusi optimal terhadap perubahan parameter koefisien fungsi tujuan dan nilai batasan. Temuan mengonfirmasi bahwa analisis sensitivitas tidak hanya menghindari perhitungan ulang saat perubahan parameter, tetapi memberikan wawasan strategis dalam mengelola risiko keuangan, mengoptimalkan kombinasi produk, dan menyusun strategi adaptif terhadap dinamika pasar. Penelitian membuktikan relevansi analisis sensitivitas untuk perusahaan besar maupun UMKM dalam konteks produksi, distribusi, dan perencanaan operasional, serta memberikan gambaran komprehensif implementasinya untuk pengambilan keputusan berbasis model matematis yang akurat dan strategis di sektor perdagangan.

Abstract

Linear programming is a crucial operations research method for optimization problems in various fields like manufacturing and logistics, but it is often hindered by the absence of a basic feasible solution due to artificial variables. The Big M method addresses this by adding artificial variables and a large penalty, allowing the discovery of a valid initial solution without altering the constraint structure. This research employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) to examine the implementation of the Big M method in Indonesia from 2015-2025, analyzing journals and proceedings related to linear programming optimization. The review findings indicate that this method is highly effective and flexible for diverse cases such as production, animal feed, and scheduling, capable of handling artificial constraints and optimizing profit or cost. Although efficient, the Big M method has drawbacks, including computational complexity and dependence on the precise selection of the M value, which can affect result accuracy. Overall, the Big M Method remains relevant and important for real-world optimization problems requiring systematic constraint handling.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a vital role in the Indonesian economy, including in the traditional culinary sector such as the home-based Kue Cincin Sofwan business. However, in its operations, inefficient division of worker tasks is often found, resulting in wasteful costs. This study aims to apply the Hungarian Method in determining optimal worker assignments in order to minimize operational costs. The study was conducted through a case study approach with observation, interview, and documentation techniques on four workers and four main types of work: kneading, molding, frying, and distributing cakes. Working time data was converted into costs, then analyzed using the Hungarian Method through row and column reduction steps and zero-based assignments in the matrix. . The results showed a 25% decrease in operational costs compared to the previous assignment system. The results of the analysis showed that optimal worker allocation resulted in assignments with lower total costs than the previous unstructured method. Thus, the application of the Hungarian Method has proven effective in helping MSMEs, especially home businesses, improve operational efficiency and cost savings. This study is expected to be a reference for similar business actors in managing human resources more efficiently and scientifically.

Abstract

This study aims to optimize the production process of kale-based food preparations, namely kale rendang and kale arsik, using a linear program approach. The main problem faced by business actors is limited resources such as raw materials, production time, and work capacity. By utilizing the simplex method, this study formulates a mathematical model of the objective function and real constraints in the production process. The optimization results show that to obtain maximum profit of Rp 3,000,000 per production cycle, the best strategy is to produce two units of kale rendang without producing kale arsik. This analysis confirms that kangkung rendang is mathematically more profitable than kangkung arsik, under the existing constraints. The findings recommend the use of linear programs as an effective decision-making tool in the planning and management of local food-based MSME production.
