Abstract

The increasing use of electric vehicles in the coming decades makes the recycling of spent li-ion batteries an important topic to develop. Recycling spent li-ion batteries is necessary to extract valuable materials from the battery cathode. Elutriation is one of the separation method to separate the cathode and anode from the blackmass resulting from crushing by utilizing differences in density and terminal velocity. The Elutriation method is attractive to develop because the separation is done by adjusting the fluid velocity and does not use chemicals. In this study, 4 variations of fluid load will be used, namely 24, 27, 30, and 34 mL/min. The blackmass to be elutriated has a size variation between -38 to +53 micrometers. From the results under the elutriator, the cathode mass obtained for fluid load variations of 24, 27, 30, and 34 mL/min are 0.8366, 0.4333, 0.3907, and 0.1349 grams. The highest cathode recovery at a load of 24 mL/min is 97.21% and the cathode fraction is 0.4091. Furthermore, it can increase the cathode composition in the mixture by 48.98% and reduce the anode composition by 18.54%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui implementasi metode pembelajaran membaca kritis terhadap kemampuan membaca dan hasil belajar siswa. Pelaksanaan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang diterapkan di SMPN dua Gudo Jombang dengan sasaran siswa kelas VII. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa teknik observasi yang akan dibagi dalam dua siklus PTK. Pada Siklus I, pelaksanaan pembelajaran membaca pemahaman dengan metode membaca kritis kurang berjalan dengan baik karena masih ada beberapa siswa yang kurang aktif dengan hasil belajar yang kurang memuaskan sehingga diperlukan siklus II. Teknik analisis data dari hasil belajar siswa akan dihitung dengan prosentase hasil angket observasi siswa. Hasil prosentase akan dihitung dan dipaparkan sebagai kesimpulan hasil dari kedua siklus. Pada Siklus II, pelaksanaan pembelajaran membaca pemahaman dengan metode membaca kritis sudah berjalan dengan baik. Hal itu ditunjukkan dengan meningkatnya keaktifan siswa dalam mengikuti pembelajaran yang berlangsung dalam kelas. Hasil belajar yang diperoleh juga menunjukkan adanya peningkatan, baik hasil belajar secara individu maupun berkelompok. Dengan demikian, metode membaca kritis, meningkatkan tingkat pemahaman siswa terhadap sumber bacaan terutama artikel.

Abstract

Peningkatan kualitas pendidikan merupakan tantangan utama dalam menghadapi kompleksitas dunia modern. Salah satu aspek penting adalah pengembangan kecerdasan emosional siswa, yang telah terbukti menjadi faktor kunci dalam keberhasilan akademik dan kesejahteraan emosional. Namun, banyak guru yang belum sepenuhnya menguasai teknik-teknik yang diperlukan untuk mengembangkan kecerdasan emosional siswa. Untuk mengatasi hal ini, kami mengusulkan program pengabdian masyarakat yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kualitas kinerja guru dalam menguasai teknik kecerdasan emosional. Program ini melibatkan analisis kebutuhan, pelatihan intensif, pendampingan, dan evaluasi berkelanjutan. Metode ini dirancang untuk memberikan pendekatan komprehensif dan berkelanjutan dalam meningkatkan kualitas kinerja guru dan kualitas pendidikan secara keseluruhan. Melalui pengabdian ini, diharapkan dapat tercapai peningkatan signifikan dalam keterampilan kecerdasan emosional guru dan kualitas pembelajaran di sekolah

Abstract

The folklore entitled Sanaman Mantikei is one of the legends originating from Central Kalimantan. Folklore as literacy material can be used in the teaching and learning process to strengthen student character building. This study aims to describe the values of character building in the folklore legend "Sanaman Mantikei". The method used in this study was a qualitative descriptive method with the research data source in the form of Central Kalimantan Folklore books. The results of the study showed that the folklore "Sanaman Mantikei" contains character building values (1) hard work; (2) creativity; and (3) love-peace. The values of character building contained in these folktales form the basis that folklore can be used as a medium to introduce cultural stories of an area and as a means of educating students' character in the teaching and learning process.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to share reflections on Augmented Reality (AR) technology as an upgrade tool for foreign language development. Exploring the short but considerable literature research, this post discusses AR technology for the rise in the philosophy of upgrading, upgrading teacher nursery in position, teachers, pupils, customs, infrastructure, and sustainability, using the framework of activities outlines the suitability of the use of upgrading technology in development programs. For analysis, AR technology has essential benefits for language development; however, it is not suitable for all language types. Not only that, but this information also offers solid recommendations for activities that are enhanced with AR in 4 skills as well as language-specific applications. This information has some relevance for instructors, teachers, researchers, and creators of Augmented reality content.

Abstract

ABSTRACTS The Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation (REDD+) Program is a global initiative aimed at reducing carbon emissions from the forestry sector. Central Kalimantan has served as a pilot province for REDD+ implementation in Indonesia since 2007 through various initiatives led by the government and international organizations. This study aims to analyze the initial implementation dynamics of REDD+ in Central Kalimantan in 2007, focusing on policies, implementing actors, and key challenges encountered. The research applies a descriptive qualitative approach, using literature review and policy document analysis. The results indicate that the period 2007–2012 was the readiness phase, during which institutional and policy frameworks were developed; the period 2013–2014 marked the implementation phase; and the period 2016 to the present represents the result-based payment phase. However, the early implementation faced several major challenges, including limited inter-agency coordination, low technical capacity, and weak synchronization between national and regional policies. Despite these obstacles, the early stage of REDD+ implementation in Central Kalimantan has provided an important foundation for the future development of climate and forest governance policies in Indonesia. Abstract

This study examined the effect of using short movies as a teaching tool on improving writing skills in senior high school students. Writing was often a challenging skill for students, especially in traditional teaching environments, which hindered their creativity and writing proficiency. The integration of multimedia tools, such as short films, offered an innovative approach to enhancing student engagement and writing abilities. This pre-experimental study involved 30 eleventh-grade students from a senior high school in Banjarmasin, Indonesia, who were selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected using pre-and post-tests, focusing on narrative writing tasks before and after exposure to four short movie-based lessons. The results indicated a significant improvement in students' writing scores, with an average increase of 17.8 points. Statistical analysis using paired sample t-tests revealed a significant positive effect (p < 0.05), supporting the hypothesis that short movies could effectively enhance students' writing performance. The study concluded that short films were a valuable educational tool that not only improved writing skills but also motivated and engaged students, making writing tasks more relatable and enjoyable. These findings suggest that incorporating short movies into the curriculum could lead to better writing outcomes in senior high school English education.

Abstract

Integrasi Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi (TIK) dalam pendidikan telah membuka peluang untuk inovasi pembelajaran yang lebih efektif. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini memiliki tujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi digital guru Sekolah Menengah Pertama melalui kegiatan sosialisasi dan pendampingan menggunakan dan memanfaatkan aplikasi Canva serta Chat GPT AI dalam membuat dan menyusun media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi digital di kelas. Metode partisipasi, yaitu tim pengabdian melakukan partisipasi aktif untuk memberikan kegiatan sosialisasi pengetahuan kepada guru-guru mengenai pentingnya media pembelajaran dalam proses belajar mengajar di kelas, kemudian materi bagaimana memanfatkan teknologi melalui aplikasi Canva serta Chat GPT AI; (2) Pelatihan, yaitu tim pengabdi memberikan pelatihan keterampilan kepada guru-guru untuk membuat media pembelajaran berupa video animasi;(3) Evaluasi Kegiatan yaitu dengan menyebarkan kuesioner kepada peserta pelatihan diakhir kegiatan untuk mengetahui tingkat kepuasan mitra pengabdian. Hasil pengabdian dari program kemitraan kegiatan ini efektif meningkatkan sumber daya manusia serta meningkatkan kesiapan guru-guru dalam menghadapi tuntutan pendidikan di era digital.
