Abstract

Employees are one of the supporters in the progress, smoothness and success of a company. Quality employees are one of the company's assets that make the company grow rapidly. For this reason, employees with the best work ethic are entitled to promotions and incentives. In this study, a company has obstacles in selecting the best employees. So far, the determination of the best employees is still done manually, so that the determination of employees takes longer, is not transparent and ineffective. This can actually lead to new conflict problems among employees. Selection of the best employees aims to improve and evaluate employee performance. Therefore we need a Decision Support System to determine the best employees in a company so that it can be more transparent, more efficient, effective and acceptable to all parts of the company. The Weighted Product method is a more efficient method and the time required for calculations is easier and shorter in a Decision Support System. The selection of the Weighted Product Method is based on computational complexity which is not too difficult by obtaining a weight value for each attribute and a ranking process that will determine the best alternative. The results of this study are 0.14414 with criteria consisting of loyalty, productivity and quality of work, discipline, problem solving ability, cooperation, maintaining cleanliness, responsibility and work ability

Abstract

Abstract

This study analyzes the influence of innovation and service quality on competitive advantage with dynamic capabilities as a moderating variable at the BPS-Statistics throughout Jawa Tengah Province. Using a quantitative approach with Partial Least Square (PLS) techniques, the study involved all BPS work units in Jawa Tengah to explore the dynamics of competitive advantage in the public sector. A theoretical framework was built based on Resource-Based Theory and Dynamic Capabilities Theory to understand how organizational resources contribute to competitive value creation. The results show that innovation has a significant positive effect on competitive advantage, manifested through web-based data services, interactive statistical dashboards, and the integration of national digital platforms. Service quality is also proven to have a significant positive effect on competitive advantage, manifested through response speed, data accuracy, ease of access, and responsiveness to user needs. Dynamic capabilities show a significant positive direct effect on competitive advantage, but do not act as a moderator in the innovation-competitive advantage or service quality-competitive advantage relationship, classifying it as a quasi-moderator. These findings reveal the unique characteristics of public bureaucracy where innovation is top-down and service quality is standardized through national SOPs, limiting the adaptive flexibility of work units. The research provides theoretical contributions in understanding the application of dynamic capability theory in the public sector and practical implications for optimizing the competitive advantage of national statistical institutions through strengthening operational autonomy and contextual innovation design.

Abstract

Highlight: • Dermoscopy is a practical, non-invasive and accurate method for reducing the number of unnecessary excision of benign skin neoplasms. • Knowledge about vascular pattern and description setting can lead to a prompt benign skin neoplasm diagnosis. Abstract: Benign skin neoplasms are commonly found in the population. It has a well-differentiated and slow growth nature. The patients often come seeking treatment when the tumor has developed into malignancy. This usual delay in diagnosis and therapy frequently happens because early-stage mass has not generated any complaints by the patients. Detection and monitoring of benign skin neoplasms can be carried out earlier and more effectively if the clinician or dermatologist has the knowledge of distinguishing benign from malignant lesions. The histopathological examination can help to establish the diagnosis, but this method is invasive and requires an extended amount of time. Dermoscopy is a practical, non-invasive and accurate method for early detection of skin disorder which reduces the number of unnecessary excisions of benign skin neoplasms. Knowledge of the vascular pattern and arrangement description, combined with the additional dermoscopic feature can lead to the prompt diagnosis of benign skin neoplasms.
