Abstract

The criminal offense of obstruction of justice, or acts that hinder the judicial process, constitutes a form of crime that can impede law enforcement, particularly in cases of corruption. Although various acts classified as obstruction of justice have been regulated separately in several Indonesian laws and regulations, such as the Criminal Code (KUHP), Law Number 31 of 1999 in conjunction with Law Number 20 of 2001 on the Eradication of Corruption, and Law Number 8 of 1981 on Criminal Procedure, these regulations remain partial and have not provided comprehensive legal certainty. This study aims to analyze the regulation of the criminal offense of obstruction of justice in the context of corruption cases and to examine the urgency of establishing more explicit and integrated regulations in Indonesia. The research method employed is normative juridical research using statutory and conceptual approaches. The results of the analysis indicate that the absence of explicit norms regulating obstruction of justice in corruption cases creates obstacles to law enforcement, particularly against parties who attempt to hinder the investigation, prosecution, and examination of corruption cases. Therefore, legal reform is necessary to clarify provisions concerning obstruction of justice within the Indonesian criminal law system in order to support the effectiveness of corruption eradication efforts and to maintain the integrity of the judicial process.

Abstract

The phenomenon  of child grooming that develops through digital media is a form of modern sexual violence that poses a serious threat to children as a vulnerable group. This practice is carried out by the perpetrator establishing communication, building closeness, and psychological manipulation of children for the purpose of sexual exploitation. This research aims to examine the criminal act of child grooming as a form of digital sexual violence and analyze the legal accountability of perpetrators according to laws and regulations in Indonesia. The research method used is normative juridical research with a legislative and conceptual approach. The results of the study show that the crime of child grooming has been regulated in Law Number 17 of 2016 concerning Child Protection and Law Number 12 of 2022 concerning the Crime of Sexual Violence. Both regulations affirm that perpetrators can be sentenced to criminal sanctions, either in the form of imprisonment or additional penalties, taking into account the aspect of child protection as a victim. Thus, the accountability of child grooming  perpetrators not only emphasizes on the criminal aspect, but also on the prevention and recovery of victims.

Abstract

Sexually transmitted infections have a significant impact on sexual and reproductive health worldwide. Yeast infections are not generally considered sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) because they are caused by an overgrowth of fungi already present in the body. However, sexual activity can sometimes cause this imbalance. The purpose of this community service is to increase the knowledge and understanding of candidiasis among the public, particularly final-year students of the Aceh Ministry of Health Polytechnic of Health. The method used was an outreach method, using visual aids and a questionnaire as an instrument. The target audience was 80 final-year students majoring in TLM at the Aceh Ministry of Health Polytechnic of Health. The activity began with a pre-test followed by a presentation of the activity material. After the presentation, a question-and-answer session was held with participants given the opportunity to ask questions, followed by brochures being distributed, followed by a post-test. Data analysis showed a 95% increase in student knowledge after the outreach. It can be concluded that this outreach activity ran smoothly and successfully, with participants' knowledge increasing after the outreach.

Abstract

Criminal liability for children who perpetrate bullying resulting in serious injury is an increasingly prominent issue with the rise in cases of violence between children. The focus of this research is on Indonesian legal regulations, the application of criminal sanctions, and the age limit for criminal liability under the Juvenile Criminal Justice System Law. This research uses a normative juridical method by examining laws and regulations, literature, and related cases. The findings in this discussion indicate that bullying resulting in serious injury can be classified as a crime with criminal consequences or actions, but its implementation must still consider the principle of the child's best interests. Diversion can only be implemented if the crime is not categorized as serious, so in cases of serious injury, diversion opportunities are limited. This research emphasizes the importance of a proportional and recovery-oriented approach for both perpetrators and victims to ensure the achievement of the goals of child development and protection in the criminal justice process.
