Abstract

The problem in this research is how the values of the characters in the short story collection Selembut Angin Setajam Ranting by Isbedy Stiawan Zs. and the implications for teaching literature in high school. This research aims describe value of values character in a collection of short story those and its implications on the learning literary in Senior High School. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. The research data described by the actual reality, in the form of writing and then analyzed and interpreted objectively. The data source is a collection of short stories Selembut Angin Setajam Ranting. Data analysis techniques using the model flow. Results of this research showed that the character values contained in those collection of short stories is religious, honest, tolerance, discipline, hard work, creativity, curiosity, love of country, friendship/communicative, love peace, love reading, environmental care, social care, and responsibility. Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimanakah nilai-nilai karakter pada kumpulan cerpen Selembut Angin Setajam Ranting karya Isbedy Stiawan Zs. dan implikasinya pada pembelajaran sastra di SMA. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai karakter dalam kumpulan cerpen tersebut dan implikasinya pada pembelajaran sastra di SMA. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Data penelitian dideskripsikan berdasarkan kenyataan sebenarnya berupa tulisan kemudian dianalisis dan ditafsirkan sesuai tujuan penelitian. Sumber data adalah  kumpulan cerpen Selembut Angin Setajam Ranting karya Isbedy Stiawan Zs. Teknik analisis data menggunakan model alir, yakni dimulai dengan reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan/verivikasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa nilai-nilai karakter yang terdapat pada kumpulan cerpen tersebut, yakni religius, jujur, toleransi, disiplin, kerja keras, kreatif, rasa ingin tahu, cinta tanah air, bersahabat/ komunikatif, cinta damai, gemar membaca, peduli lingkungan, peduli sosial, dan tanggung jawab.Kata kunci: cerpen, karakter, nilai-nilai, pembelajaran.

Abstract

The purpose of this study describes the use of language on the official letter in the Office of General Election Commissions Way Kanan period October - December 2017 and the implication of Indonesian language learning in junior high school. The method used was qualitative descriptive method. The results of this study indicate that the use of Indonesian language in the office letter General Election Commissions Way Kanan period October - December 2017 still there is a mistake. Error in spelling usage, choice of words and effective sentences. The most common misuse of spelling was the inappropriate use of capital letters. The most commonly used word selection error was an inadequate word. The most common misuse of the most effective sentence was the error of an inefficient sentence. The results of this study can be implied in junior high school learning with basic competencies 3.12 and 4.12Tujuan penelitian ini mendeskripsikan penggunaan bahasa pada surat dinas di Kantor KPU Way Kanan periode Oktober – Desember 2017 dan implikasinya terhadap pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia di SMP. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan bahasa Indonesia pada surat dinas di Kantor KPU Way Kanan periode Oktober – Desember 2017 masih terdapat kesalahan. Kesalahan diantarannya penggunaan ejaan, pilihan kata dan kalimat efektif. Kesalahan penggunaan ejaan yang paling banyak ditemukan adalah penggunaan huruf kapital yang tidak tepat. Kesalahan penggunaan pilihan kata yang paling banyak ditemukan adalah kata yang tidak cermat. Kesalahan penggunaan kalimat efektif yang paling banyak ditemukan adalah kesalahan kalimat yang tidak hemat. Hasil penelitian ini dapat di implikasikan dalam pembelajaran SMP dengan KD 3.12 dan 4.12Kata kunci: surat dinas, pembelajaran, penggunaan bahasa Indonesia.

Abstract

The problem discussed in this research is how the students reading comprehension through PQRST technique. This research is aimed describe the students’ reading comprehension throught PQRST technique. The researcher uses descriptive method. The population is the XI class which consists of 156 students’ distributed is 5 classes. The sample is 25% of the total students’ of each class, so the total of the sample is 40 students. Data collecting technique is done by objective test technique. Based on the result, the students’ reading comprehension through PQRST technique is categorized as quite enough with the mean. The students’ reading comprehension through PQRST technique in the aspect of literal is categorized as quite enough with the mean score is 69. In the aspect of interpretative is categorized as quite enough with the mean score is 68, in the aspect of critic/creative is categorized as quite enough with the mean score is 68.Masalah yang dibahas dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimanakah kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa melalui teknik PQRST. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa melalui teknik PQRST. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI yang berjumlah 156 siswa yang tersebar dalam 5 kelas. Sampel yang diambil dalam penelitian ini 25% dari jumlah siswa setiap kelas, sehingga jumlah sampelnya 40 siswa. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan teknik tes objektif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa melalui teknik PQRST Kelas XI SMA Negeri I Labuhan Ratu Tahun Pelajaran 2012/2013 tergolong cukup dengan nilai rata-rata 68. Kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa melalui teknik PQRST pada aspek literal tergolong cukup dengan nilai rata-rata 69. Pada aspek interpretatif tergolong cukup dengan nilai rata-rata 68 dan pada aspek kritis/kreatif tergolong cukup dengan nilai rata-rata 68.Kata kunci: kemampuan, membaca, pemahaman, teknik PQRST

Abstract

Problem in this research is how the students ability in writing short story on class IX SMP Negeri 2 Ambarawa Pringsewu. This research aimed to describe the ability to write a short story on class IX SMP Negeri 2 Ambarawa Pringsewu. The method that is used is descriptive. The population consists of 147 students spread into 4 class. Data collected through short story writing test. Sample of this research consists of 16 students. Results of this study demonstrate the ability of students to write a short story is quite enough, with an average score of 68,67. The weakness in the student short story lies in the plot of game with an avarage score of 54,25 including less category, while the highest score lies in the aspect of theme with an average score of 81,18 and include the well category is.Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimanakah kemampuan menulis cerita pendek pada siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 2 Ambarawa Pringsewu. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan kemampuan menulis cerita pendek pada siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 2 Ambarawa Pringsewu. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 147 siswa yang tersebar dalam 4 kelas. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes Menulis Cerita Pendek. Sampel penelitian ini berjumlah 16 siswa. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan kemampuan menulis cerita pendek siswa tergolong cukup, yaitu dengan skor rata-rata sebesar 68,67. Kelemahan siswa dalam menulis cerita pendek terletak pada permainan alur, dengan skor rata-rata 54,25 dan termasuk kategori kurang, sedangkan skor rata-rata tertinggi terletak pada aspek tema dengan skor rata-rata 81,18 dan termasuk kategori baik.Kata kunci: cerita pendek, kemampuan, menulis.

Abstract

The problem discussed in this study is language variations in Hitam Putih talkshow and its learning in high school. The method used in this research is descriptive method with qualitative approach. The data source of this research is Hitam Putih talkshow videos from youtube. The data in this study are conversations containing language variations among host and guests star in Hitam Putih. The results of this study was found two types of language variations in Hitam Putih talkshow program, namely (1) oral variety, namely a variety characterized by a form of expression or an affirmation; and (2) formality, including (a) formal variety, (b) informal forms. The results of this study could be implicated toward Bahasa lesson in high school and could be used as a language of teaching materials and could be used asa medium of learning in the lesson construction of lectures text.Masalah dalam penelitian ini ialah ragam bahasa di acara talkshow Hitam Putih dan pembelajarannya di SMA. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data penelitian ini ialah video talkshow Hitam Putih unduhan dari youtube. Data dalam penelitian ini ialah percakapan yang mengandung ragam bahasa antara pembawa acara dan bintang tamu dalam acara talkshow Hitam Putih. Hasil penelitian ini ditemukan dua jenis ragam bahasa yang terdapat dalam acara talkshow Hitam Putih, yaitu (1) ragam lisan, yaitu ragam yang ditandai dengan bentuk mimik atau sebuah penegasan; dan (2) keformalan, antara lain (a) ragam formal, (b) ragam tidak formal. Hasil penelitian ini dapat diimplikasikan terhadap pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di sekolah menengah atas untuk dijadikan bahan ajar serta dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai media pembelajaran dalam pelajaran mengontruksi teks ceramah.Kata kunci: ragam bahasa, talkshow, implikasi.

Abstract

The problem in this research was the use of figurative language, the function of the figurative language in Redaksiana news in Trans 7, and its implication to learn the Indonesian language at high school. The purposes of this research were to describe the figurative language, the function of the figurative language in Redaksiana news in Trans 7, and to verify the implication of the figurative language in learning Indonesian language at high school. This research used qualitative descriptive method. Based on the analysis result the researcher concluded the figurative language used covered alliteration, assonance, erotecis, hyperbole, paradox, equation, a metaphor, personification, and eponym. Figurative language which is the most dominant used was assonance. The function of the figurative language were to excite the atmosphere, excite the impress on deep, affirmation, and increase the aesthetic effect on it. The implication of the figurative language in the learning in school was in analyzing short story text (the adiction, the language use, and conjuction) carefully.Masalah penelitian ini adalah penggunaan majas, fungsi majas yang terdapat dalam berita Redaksiana di Trans 7, dan implikasinya terhadap pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia di SMA. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan majas, fungsi majas dalam berita Redaksiana di Trans 7, dan implikasinya terhadap pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia di SMA. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, penulis menyimpulkan adanya penggunaan majas meliputi aliterasi, asonansi, erotesis, hiperbol, paradoks, persamaan, metafora, personifikasi, dan eponim. Majas yang paling dominan digunakan adalah asonansi. Fungsi majas meliputi membangkitkan suasana, membangkitkan kesan mendalam, penegasan, dan menambah efek estetis. Implikasi majas terhadap pembelajaran di sekolah berupa menganalisis teks cerita pendek (pilihan kata, gaya bahasa, dan konjungsi) dengan cermat.Kata kunci : berita, majas, pembelajaran.

Abstract

This research purpose was to describe speech action modes of the students of Indonesian Language and Literature Program FKIP student of Lampung University and its implication on teaching speaking in University. The research design was qualitative design. The results showed that speech action modes of Indonesian Language and Literature Study Program FKIP student of Lampung University are directly speech and indirectly speech which have a communicative purpose. In modes of news, can be used to express the speech action or tell something, command, ask, and reject. Modes of question can be used not only to ask but also to command, offer, and ask. In modes of command can be used to command someone like ask, prohibition, and invitation.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan modus tindak tutur pada mahasiswa Program Studi Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia FKIP Universitas Lampung dan implikasinya terhadap pembelajaran berbicara di perguruan tinggi. Desain penelitian ini adalah desain kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwamodus tindak tutur pada mahasiswa Program Studi Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia FKIP Universitas Lampung yang dituturkan secara langsung dan tidak langsung memiliki fungsi komunikatif. Pada modus berita dapat digunakan untuk mengekspresikan tindak tutur memberitakan atau menginformasikan sesuatu, memerintah, meminta, dan menolak. Modus tanya dapat digunakan oleh penutur bukan hanya semata-mata untuk bertanya melainkan dapat digunakan untuk memerintah, menawarkan, dan meminta. Pada modus perintah dapat digunakan untuk memerintah mitra tutur baik berupa permintaan, larangan, dan ajakan.Kata kunci: mahasiswa, modus, tindak tutur.

Abstract

Learning of the fairy tale’s appreciation in class VII A at SMP Negeri 1 was the problem of this research study. The learning activities were seen based on the planning of the learning, the implementation of the learning, and the evaluation of the learning. The method used in this study was descriptive qualitative. The subject of this research was the learning activities between the teacher of Indonesian lesson and the students. The research result showed that the learning of fairy tale’s appreciation in class VII A consisted of the lesson plan made by the teacher, the process of the learning implementation teacher’s activities in teaching and students’, and evaluation. The lesson plan that was made used question and answer method, discussion, and demonstration. The teacher used the media and movie. The implementation of the learning involved the activity of teacher and students. Teacher’s activity was done sequently started from pre-learning, the learning activity, and closing. The students activities run well as the criteria og students activity in learning fairy tale’s appreciation. The students activity involved the activities of speaking, listening, writing, emotion, and mental. Abstract

The problem has been discussed in this research is students’ short stories appreciation learning at second grade of SMA YP Unila Bandar Lampung year 2012/2013. The objective of this research is to describe learning as planning activation, and scoring process. The method used in this research is descriptive method. Data source in this research is Lesson Planning (RPP), the learning process (teachers’ activity in teaching and students’ activity in learning), and scoring. The result shows that lesson planning that has been designed by teacher is based on standard of Lesson Plan. The teaching process is a teacher’s activity in teaching and students’ activity in learning. Teacher’s skill in explaining the using of learning media, strategy/ method used by the teacher is based on SK/KD of indicator and learning objective. Students’ learning activities are including oral activity, written activity, listening activity, mental activity and emotional activity in short story appreciation learning. The teacher scores the students’ result in appreciating short stories by using Test technique. Based on the result of this research, it can be concluded that students’ short stories appreciation learning at second grade of SMA YP Unila Bandar Lampung year 2012/2013 are lesson planning process, learning activation, and scoring/ learning evaluation.Keywords: activation, learning, planning, scoring

Abstract

The problem in this research is the difference in the effective speed reading based literacy training skimming and literacy training P2R students of grade VIII SMP Negeri 4 Gedong Tataan. The purpose of this research is to know the difference of KEM between students who did literacy training skimming and students who did literacy training P2R by looking at the students pre ability in reading. The research method used is the experimental method. The population in this research is 154 students and samples 75 students. Data collecting techniques in this research is a test technique. The results of research showed Fcount 8.929 Ftable 4.084, it can be concluded that the effective speed reading (KEM) students who did literacy training skimming higher than students who did literacy training P2R.Masalah yang dibahas dalam penelitian ini adalah perbedaan kecepatan efektif mambaca berdasarkan latihan membaca skimming dan latihan membaca P2R pada siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 4 Gedong Tataan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menguji perbedaan KEM antara siswa yang melakukan latihan membaca skimming dengan siswa yang melakukan latihan membaca P2R dengan memperhatikan kemampuan awal siswa dalam membaca. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah 154 siswa dan sampel 75 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Fhitung 8,929 Ftabel 4,084, berarti dapat disimpulkan bahwa kecepatan efektif membaca (KEM) siswa yang melakukan latihan membaca skimming lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan siswa yang melakukan latihan membaca P2R. Kata kunci: kecepatan efektif membaca, latihan membaca, perbedaan.
