Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to develop and evaluate a smartphone-based asynchronous flipped-learning media application called BEST (Belajar Struktur Data) to support programming and algorithm learning in higher education during online learning conditions.Methodology: This research employed a research and development approach using the ADDIE model, which consists of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The application was implemented with 40 Informatics Engineering Education students at Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta. The evaluation involved black-box testing, compatibility testing using Firebase Test Lab, expert validation using Aiken's V from two media experts and one material expert, and usability testing using the System Usability Scale (SUS).Results: The results showed that the BEST application achieved a 100% success rate in functional and compatibility testing. The Aiken's V value obtained from both media and material expert validation was 0.89, indicating that the learning media is valid and feasible. The usability evaluation produced a SUS score of 71.8%, which reflects an acceptable level of usability and high student satisfaction.Applications/Originality/Value: This study contributes an original smartphone-based asynchronous flipped-learning media specifically designed for programming education, offering a practical solution to overcome technical limitations in synchronous online learning and supporting more flexible, independent, and engaging learning experiences in higher education.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and evaluate the feasibility of Virtual Reality (VR)–based learning media for practicum activities in Local Area Network (LAN) and Fiber Optic (FO) cabling. The method employed was Research and Development (R&D) using the 4D development model, which consists of the Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate stages. Three-dimensional assets were developed using Blender and integrated into Unity 3D with the C# programming language, then implemented on Oculus devices to produce an interactive and immersive virtual laboratory simulation. The feasibility testing was conducted through validation by media experts and subject-matter experts, as well as user trials employing the System Usability Scale (SUS). The results of expert validation showed a percentage of 88% from media experts and 92% from subject-matter experts, both categorized as highly feasible. User testing involving 20 students yielded an average SUS score of 70 (grade C/OK), indicating that the application is acceptable and suitable for use. The findings demonstrate that the VR media is capable of realistically visualizing the procedures of LAN cable crimping and fiber optic slicing, thereby supporting students’ conceptual understanding and practical skills. Therefore, this VR-based learning media is feasible to be utilized as an innovative alternative in computer network practicum learnin.

Abstract

Abstract: The rapid growth of e-commerce in Indonesia has increased consumer interactions with digital platforms, particularly Lazada, Tokopedia, and Blibli, resulting in a large volume of customer reviews that reflect consumer experiences and perceptions but have not been optimally utilized in business decision-making. The main issue addressed in this study is how to process customer review data to generate meaningful information regarding consumer opinions. This research aims to apply web scraping techniques to collect customer review data and conduct sentiment analysis to identify trends in consumer opinions across the three e-commerce platforms. The dataset consists of 3,000 customer reviews, with 1,000 reviews collected from each platform, covering aspects such as shopping experience, service quality, delivery process, and customer satisfaction. The research methodology includes data collection through web scraping, text preprocessing for data cleaning and normalization, sentiment analysis using machine learning approaches, and visualization of sentiment results. The findings indicate differences in the distribution of positive, negative, and neutral sentiments across platforms, reflecting variations in consumer experiences and service strategies. These results demonstrate that sentiment analysis based on customer reviews can serve as strategic input to improve service quality, business performance, and marketing strategies in Indonesia’s e-commerce sector. Keywords: customer reviews; digital services; e-commerce; sentiment analysis; web scarping Abstrak: Pertumbuhan pesat e-commerce di Indonesia meningkatkan interaksi konsumen dengan platform digital, khususnya Lazada, Tokopedia, dan Blibli, yang menghasilkan ulasan pelanggan dalam jumlah besar sebagai cerminan pengalaman dan persepsi konsumen, namun belum dimanfaatkan secara optimal dalam pengambilan keputusan bisnis. Permasalahan utama penelitian ini adalah bagaimana mengolah data ulasan tersebut agar dapat memberikan informasi yang bermakna mengenai opini konsumen. Penelitian ini bertujuan menerapkan web scraping untuk mengumpulkan data ulasan pelanggan serta melakukan analisis sentimen guna mengidentifikasi tren opini konsumen pada ketiga platform e-commerce tersebut. Data yang digunakan berjumlah 3.000 ulasan pelanggan, dengan masing-masing platform diwakili oleh 1.000 ulasan yang mencakup pengalaman berbelanja, kualitas layanan, proses pengiriman, dan tingkat kepuasan pelanggan. Metode penelitian meliputi pengambilan data menggunakan web scraping, pra-pemrosesan teks untuk pembersihan dan normalisasi data, analisis sentimen dengan pendekatan pembelajaran mesin, serta visualisasi hasil sentimen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan distribusi sentimen positif, negatif, dan netral pada setiap platform, yang mencerminkan variasi pengalaman konsumen dan strategi layanan. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa analisis sentimen berbasis ulasan pelanggan dapat menjadi masukan strategis untuk meningkatkan kualitas layanan, kinerja bisnis, dan strategi pemasaran e-commerce di Indonesia. Abstract

This study examines the role of the mining sector in East Kutai Regency's regional economic development, where mining contributes over 40% to GRDP. An integrated analytical framework combining Input-Output analysis with overlay analysis techniques (Location Quotient, Klassen Typology, and Shift-Share) was employed to comprehensively assess the mining sector's structural position, inter-sectoral linkages, and development impact. The Input-Output analysis utilized East Kalimantan's 2016 table updated via RAS method to generate regency specific coefficients, while overlay analysis employed GRDP statistics for 2014 to 2023 to evaluate spatial concentration and competitive dynamics. Input-Output findings reveal the mining sector exhibits weak backward linkage of 1.0 and forward linkage of 0.95, positioning it in Quadrant III with minimal inter-sectoral integration and limited multiplier effects on the regional production system. Overlay analysis through Location Quotient demonstrates the mining sector's highest comparative advantage at 1.76, indicating strong export orientation and spatial concentration. However, Klassen Typology classifies it in Quadrant IV as a lagging sector with growth coefficient of 0.94 and contribution coefficient of 0.93, reflecting stagnant development performance. Shift-Share analysis within the overlay framework confirms the mining sector's severe competitiveness decline at negative 35,714.67, the worst among seventeen evaluated sectors. The convergent results from Input-Output and overlay analyses indicate the mining sector operates as an extractive enclave with insufficient value-added generation and constrained developmental spillovers. Enhancing the mining sector's developmental role requires strengthening backward and forward linkages through downstream processing facilities, local content requirements, and technology transfer mechanisms to transform the sector from an extractive enclave into an integrated regional growth driver.

Abstract

This study is grounded in the importance of mastering discussion text writing in Indonesian language learning at the junior secondary level, which requires cohesive and coherent organization of ideas. However, texts produced by learners still demonstrate weaknesses in semantic continuity and logical argumentation. This study aims to identify the forms and tendencies of lexical cohesion, grammatical cohesion, and coherence relations in discussion texts written by Grade IX E and IX F students of SMP Negeri 110 Jakarta. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, with 24 discussion texts selected from 65 student compositions as the data source. Data were analyzed using reading–note-taking techniques, followed by data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that lexical cohesion is predominantly realized through repetition (349 out of 631 data), while grammatical cohesion is mainly expressed through conjunctions (229 out of 451 data) and references. In terms of coherence, additive relations (125 out of 298 data) and causal relations (100 data) are the most dominant patterns, whereas temporal, chronological, and sequential relations are relatively limited. These findings indicate that learners tend to rely on explicit markers and linear idea development in constructing arguments. This study provides empirical contributions to strengthening instructional strategies for teaching discussion text writing, particularly in promoting varied logical relations and conceptual coherence to produce more systematic and argumentative texts.

Abstract

Indonesia menghadapi tantangan signifikan dalam meningkatkan kualitas sumber daya manusia (SDM), terutama di era digital. Tantangan ini meliputi rendahnya literasi digital, keterbatasan keterampilan teknis, serta akses informasi program pelatihan yang terbatas. Penelitian ini berfokus pada pengembangan website informatif untuk memperluas akses masyarakat terhadap program pelatihan SDM, dengan studi kasus proyek "Mentor-Match". Website ini dirancang untuk menyediakan fitur seperti pencarian program pelatihan, pembuatan profil pengguna, forum diskusi, dan notifikasi yang relevan. Proses pengembangan menggunakan teknologi web modern seperti React.js dan Next.js untuk memastikan antarmuka yang interaktif, responsif, dan ramah pengguna. Proses penelitian melibatkan analisis kebutuhan pengguna, desain antarmuka yang intuitif, pengembangan backend berbasis API, serta pengujian menyeluruh untuk memastikan performa optimal. Hasil awal menunjukkan peningkatan akses terhadap informasi pelatihan, partisipasi aktif dalam forum diskusi, serta adaptasi pengguna terhadap teknologi digital. Selain itu, platform ini berpotensi mempercepat transformasi digital, memperkuat kolaborasi antarindividu dan organisasi, serta mendukung pembangunan SDM berbasis teknologi. Studi ini menunjukkan bahwa platform digital terintegrasi dapat menjadi solusi untuk mengatasi fragmentasi informasi, mendukung peningkatan literasi digital, dan memberikan kontribusi signifikan pada pembangunan SDM Indonesia. Rekomendasi mencakup pengembangan lebih lanjut, seperti perluasan cakupan fitur, peningkatan keberlanjutan platform, dan integrasi dengan berbagai pemangku kepentingan. Dengan langkah ini, platform diharapkan mampu mendukung transformasi digital secara inklusif, membuka akses pelatihan untuk seluruh lapisan masyarakat, dan meningkatkan daya saing SDM Indonesia di pasar global.

Abstract

The Free Nutritious Meal Program (MBG) is a strategic initiative by the Indonesian government to improve child nutrition and prevent stunting. However, its implementation has sparked diverse public opinions on social media, which are difficult to analyze manually due to the large volume of data. This study aims to identify public sentiment toward the MBG program through social media X by implementing the IndoBERT model. A total of 4,380 tweets were collected using web scraping techniques with relevant keywords between March and May 2025. The research process included preprocessing (data cleaning, stopword removal, stemming, and tokenization), semi-automatic data labeling, and data division into a 71.97% training set, 8.02% validation set, and 20.01% test set. The model used was the Indonesian RoBERTa Base Sentiment Classifier architecture, which underwent a fine-tuning process for 20 epochs. The results showed that the IndoBERT model achieved an accuracy rate of 80.11% and a weighted average F1-score of 0.8000. Negative sentiment was detected most accurately with an F1-score of 0.8301. Although effective, the model still faces challenges in handling linguistic ambiguity in neutral sentiment and the risk of overfitting. Further research is recommended to expand slang language normalization and apply stricter model regulation techniques.

Abstract

This research aims to develop learning media using Moodle and apply blended learning methods to help improve the learning effectiveness of students at SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Klaten. The research method used in this research is Research and Development. The results showed the average value of media experts was 79.55% categorized as feasible category, while the material experts were 75% categorized as feasible category. Whereas the System Usability Scale (SUS) questionnaire, which could measure usability, from 32 students of SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Klaten consist of 29 Male and 3 Female Students obtained 71.25% which were categorized as acceptable category. The average test results of the students' pre-test scores were 58.75%, the post-test scores were 81.87%, an increase of 23.12%. The conclusion in this study is that learning media using Moodle-based blended learning methods are appropriate for use in basic graphic design subjects, and are effectively used to improve student understanding and learning outcomes.

Abstract

Gas sangat penting bagi kehidupan manusia, hampir semua kalangan sangat mebutuhkan gas. Selain cara penggunaannya yang simpel dan mudah, harga gas juga relatif murah sehingga hampir semua kalangan dapat menggunakannya. Dengan kata lain gas sangat dibutuhkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Seiring meningkatnya penggunaan gas LPG muncullah beberapa masalah terutama pada skala rumah tangga salah satunya terjadinya kebocoran gas sehingga dapat menyebabkan kebakaran. Hal seperti ini dapat disebabkan oleh banyak faktor seperti, tabung gas yang bocor karena korosi, selang gas yang sudah tidak layak pakai, serta pemasangan regulator yang kurang tepat. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut, maka diperlukan suatu sistem keamanan yang mampu mendeteksi kebocoran gas LPG secara dini. Sistem deteksi kebocoran gas LPG dengan menggunakan sensor MQ-2 berbasis Internet of Things ini merupakan solusi untuk mendeteksi kebocoran gas khususnya pada skala rumah tangga serta memanfaatkan smartphone sebagai alat untuk memonitor secara realtime. Sistem deteksi kebocoran gas LPG ini dikembangkan dengan metode prototyping menggunakan ESP32, sensor gas, buzzer, exhaust fan, motor servo dan aplikasi Blynk untuk memantau kondisi gas serta mengaktifkan exhaust fan dan motor servo secara manual. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian, otomatis buzzer akan mengeluarkan tanda suara dan exhaust fan akan menyala kemudian motor servo bergerak untuk membuka regulator apabila sensor gas mendeteksi adanya kebocoran gas. Exhaust fan dan motor servo dapat juga digerakkan secara manual menggunakan aplikasi Blynk. Dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa sistem deteksi kebocoran gas ini efektif untuk mendeteksi secara dini pada saat terjadi kebocoran gas karena selain buzzer yang mengeluarkan tanda suara, exhaust fan untuk menghisap dan membuang gas keluar ruangan juga terdapat motor servo yang bergerak membuka regulator gas.

Abstract

Oral interaction plays a crucial role in second language learning, particularly in Bahasa Indonesia for Foreign Speakers (BIPA), where meaning negotiation and utterance repair frequently occur during classroom communication. In the context of digital learning, platforms such as YouTube provide authentic interactional settings that allow teachers and learners to engage in real-time corrective practices. This study aims to identify the types of repair initiation, analyze the repair strategies employed, and explain the pedagogical functions of repair in BIPA learning through YouTube-based instructional videos. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, the data were obtained from two BIPA learning videos uploaded on YouTube and analyzed through conversation-based interactional analysis. The findings reveal two types of repair initiation: self-initiation and other-initiation, with other-initiation occurring more frequently, indicating the dominant role of teachers in guiding beginner learners. The repair strategies identified include repetition, reformulation, and substitution, with repetition emerging as the most dominant strategy due to its effectiveness in supporting immediate correction and reinforcing accurate language forms. Furthermore, repair practices were found to serve significant pedagogical functions, such as clarifying meaning, providing accurate linguistic models, fostering learner confidence, and promoting metalinguistic awareness. The study also demonstrates that digital learning media facilitate flexible and collaborative repair processes, enabling learners to revisit input and engage more actively in self-correction. Overall, this research highlights that repair is not merely a corrective mechanism but an integral pedagogical strategy that supports the development of speaking skills and interactional competence in digital BIPA classrooms.
