Abstract

Environmental literacy and environmental problem-solving ability are two essential competencies students need in order to address Indonesia’s growing environmental problems. This study aims to analyze the level of environmental literacy, the level of environmental problem-solving ability, and the relationship between the two among students of SMA Negeri 8 Semarang, a provincial Adiwiyata school operating under both Kurikulum Merdeka and the 2013 Curriculum. A quantitative correlational approach was used with a sample of 91 students selected through proportionate stratified random sampling from a population of 1,074 students. Data were collected through a multiple-choice test, a questionnaire, and observation, then analyzed using descriptive statistics and Pearson product-moment correlation after the normality and linearity assumptions were satisfied. The findings indicate moderate levels of both environmental literacy and problem-solving capacity among students. Correlation analysis revealed a statistically significant, moderately strong positive relationship, proving that literacy meaningfully drives variations in problem-solving skills. Strengthening environmental literacy can thus enhance students' problem-solving capabilities, complemented by hands-on experiences such as project-based learning. This study contributes to environmental education literature by demonstrating how green school frameworks foster functional competencies across concurrent curricula. Practically, it recommends consistently integrating project-based environmental learning across all grade levels to ensure cohesive skill development.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low collaboration skills and learning outcomes in social studies subjects, which are attributed to monotonous learning methods and the underutilization of digital learning media. The research aims to analyze the effectiveness of the "Journey to Merdeka" educational game integrated with the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model in enhancing students’ collaboration skills and learning outcomes. Employing a mixed-method research and development (R&D) approach, this study involved 8th-grade students from three junior high schools in Brebes Regency. Key stages included product design, validation, testing, and analysis using statistical techniques such as Wilcoxon and N-gain tests. Findings show a significant increase in collaboration skills—students categorized as "very good" rose from 10.81% to 97.30%—and improved learning outcomes, with an N-gain score of 0.6213 (moderate effectiveness). The results confirm that the educational game is valid and well-received, and effective in supporting active learning, problem-solving, and collaborative engagement in social studies.

Abstract

Mawar Camp Area di Kecamatan Bandungan, Kabupaten Semarang, merupakan destinasi wisata alam pendakian berbasis masyarakat yang berkembang pesat. Peningkatan aktivitas wisata menuntut perencanaan yang berlandaskan kajian geografis agar pemanfaatan kawasan tetap berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis karakteristik geografis, menilai potensi wisata, dan merumuskan strategi pengembangan ekowisata Mawar Camp Area. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pengumpulan data melalui observasi lapangan, kuesioner wisatawan, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis dilakukan menggunakan kerangka potensi wisata 4A (Attraction, Accessibility, Amenity, Ancillary) berbasis skoring serta analisis SWOT. Kajian geografis meliputi topografi, kemiringan lereng, tutupan lahan, hidrologi, dan kondisi iklim. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Mawar Camp Area memiliki karakteristik geografis yang mendukung pengembangan ekowisata. Analisis 4A menempatkan kawasan pada kategori potensi cukup hingga tinggi, sementara analisis SWOT menunjukkan posisi Kuadran II yang menekankan strategi diversifikasi. Pengembangan diarahkan pada pengendalian daya dukung lingkungan, peningkatan edukasi wisata, dan penguatan peran masyarakat lokal.

Abstract

Paradigms in the era of digitalization, particularly in the field of education in the use of Blended Learning in collaboration with the STEM approach (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) as a guide for teachers in technological development capable of raising the standard of education in Indonesia. In class 5 SD N 3 Bangsa, a quantitative sampling model with probability is used as the research methodology. using observational and questionnaire data gathering methods, up to 32 students served as respondents. According to the statistical analysis, there is a substantial correlation between STEM-based Blended Learning and primary school student grasp of mathematics, with a significance value of 0.668. Blended Learning with a STEM focus significantly enhances students' mathematical comprehension of cube nets. Students struggle with smartphone operation uncertainty. It is okay to apply this learning technique for teaching social sciences, math, and science.

Abstract

Dyslexia is a specific learning disability that affects an individual's ability to read, write, and recognize written language symbols. This disorder is neurobiological, involving brain areas that regulate phonological and visual processing. An interesting phenomenon emerges when children with dyslexia show better ability in reading Arabic letters (Hijaiyah) compared to the Latin alphabet. This study aims to provide an in-depth description of the ease with which dyslexic children read Hijaiyah letters, despite difficulties with the Latin alphabet. Unlike previous studies that predominantly focus on deficits in Latin-based reading, this study offers a novel perspective by examining the contrasting proficiency of dyslexic children in reading Hijaiyah script and identifying the underlying spiritual and multisensory learning mechanisms. A qualitative approach with a phenomenological design was used to explore the subjective experiences of dyslexic children in the process of reading two different writing systems. Data were collected through semi-structured in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation studies involving children, parents, classroom teachers, psychologists, and religious teachers (ustazah). Data analysis was conducted through reduction, categorization, and thematic interpretation to uncover the essential meanings of the experiences of the subjects. The results indicate that Hijaiyah letters are easier for dyslexic children to read because their learning process involves a multisensory religious approach, activating alternative learning pathways through auditory repetition, kinesthetic movement, and spiritual guidance. This condition fosters emotional calm, intrinsic motivation, and self-confidence in reading Hijaiyah letters compared to the Latin alphabet. Religious values and a spiritual learning environment play a crucial role in enhancing self-confidence and reducing academic anxiety in dyslexic children. This phenomenon suggests that spiritual and multisensory-based learning could be an effective intervention alternative for children with literacy difficulties.

Abstract

This research began with the relatively low reading skills and literacy culture of students at SDN 2 Sendangagung. Reading skills are fundamental skills, as they are the primary means for students to acquire information and knowledge. This study aims to describe the implementation and results of improving students' reading skills and literacy culture through the “Perpustakaan Cerdas” program in fifth-grade students at SDN 2 Sendangagung in the 2025/2026 Academic Year. The research model used was classroom action research with eight fifth-grade students at SDN 2 Sendangagung. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the “Perpustakaan Cerdas” program improved reading skills and successfully fostered a culture of literacy through activities such as regular reading, the use of classroom reading corners, and discussions and reflections on reading. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the implementation of the “Perpustakaan Cerdas” program was effective in improving the reading skills and literacy culture of fifth-grade students at SDN 2 Sendangagung in the 2025/2026 academic year. Therefore, this program can be a strategy for teaching reading skills and developing a culture of literacy in elementary schools.
