Abstract

This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of students in Islamic Religious Education subjects, which are indicated by the scores of students who are below the minimum completion criteria. This phenomenon can be seen from various obstacles in the learning process, which indicates less than optimal understanding of students. The research aims to analyze the Questions Students Have learning strategy in improving students' learning outcomes in Islamic schools in Indonesia. The research was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of two meetings. To ensure a smooth process, the research was designed through four main stages, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The results showed that it has been able to improve students' learning outcomes. Before the action was taken, the percentage of students who reached the minimum completion criteria was only 43.8%, which was categorized as less. After the implementation of the strategy in cycle I, the figure increased to 68.8%, and in cycle II it reached 87.5%, which is classified as a good category. This finding proves that the Questions Students Have learning strategy is effective in improving learning outcomes in Islamic religious education subjects.

Abstract

Tujuan dari pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk memastikan bahwa mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Guru Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (PGMI) Fakultas Studi Islam (FSI) Universitas Muhammadiyah Riau memperoleh keterampilan pembuatan Batik Shibori. Mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai Islami ke dalam kegiatan kewirausahaan adalah tujuan program ini. Ini juga bertujuan untuk memberikan mahasiswa keterampilan praktis yang dapat membantu mereka menjadi lebih mandiri finansial. Pelatihan Batik Shibori dipilih karena memiliki nilai estetika dan pasar yang tinggi sambil tetap mudah dipelajari yang dilaksanakan di yayasan ja’fariyah pekanbaru. Metode pelatihan yang digunakan adalah kelas intensif. Kelas ini membahas dasar-dasar batik, teknik pembuatan Batik Shibori, dan gagasan pendidikan Islami yang mengacu pada etika bisnis Islam. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa peserta mampu menguasai teknik pembuatan Batik Shibori dasar dan memahami konsep dasar pendidikan Islami, yang dapat digunakan dalam kegiatan bisnis. Selain itu, pelatihan ini meningkatkan keinginan siswa untuk berusaha sendiri dan mengembangkan keterampilan kreatif yang sesuai dengan nilai-nilai Islam. Melalui kegiatan ini, mahasiswa PGMI FSI Universitas Muhammadiyah Riau diharapkan dapat menjadi agen perubahan yang mampu membangun usaha kreatif yang berdasarkan nilai Islami di lingkungan sekitarnya.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the application of the team quiz type active learning learning model in increasing learning creativity and science knowledge of class IV students at SDN 167 Pekanbaru. This research uses the action research method which was carried out at SDN 167 Pekanbaru for the 2023/2024 academic year. Research was carried out through planning, action implementation, observation and evaluation stages. The subjects of this research were determined using purposive sampling, namely class VI A SDN 167 Pekanbaru, totaling 35 people. Data was collected using student activity observation sheets and knowledge tests. The collected data was analyzed using quantitative and qualitative descriptive analysis. The results of the research show that the team quiz type active learning model can increase the creativity of class VI students at SDN 167 Pekanbaru. in science and science learning was 17.50% and students' knowledege were 34.00%.

Abstract

An advanced synergistic approach for forecasting tourist arrivals is presented, integrating long short-term memory (LSTM), Hilbert-Huang transform (HHT), and random forest (RF). LSTM is leveraged for its capability to capture long-term dependencies in sequential data. Additional data from Google Trends (GT) is processed with HHT for feature extraction, followed by feature selection using the RF algorithm. The combined HHT-RF-LSTM model delivers highly accurate forecasts. Evaluation employs regression analysis with metrics such as root mean square error (RMSE), mean absolute error (MAE), mean absolute percentage error (MAPE), and mean square error (MSE), highlighting the effectiveness of this innovative approach in predicting tourist arrivals. This methodology provides a robust framework for handling limited datasets and improving forecast reliability. By incorporating diverse data sources and advanced preprocessing techniques, the model enhances prediction performance, demonstrating the strong performance of RF in feature selection.

Abstract

This research is based on the low learning outcomes of students in Indonesian language subjects because students feel bored, fed up with learning carried out using the lecture method so that students are not interested in participating in learning. This research aims to improve the learning outcomes of class I students at SDIT Bunayya Pekanbaru in Indonesian language subjects by using animation media in the learning process. This research is classroom action research (PTK). The subjects in this research were class I students at SDIT Bunayya Pekanbaru, totaling 25 students. Meanwhile, the object of this research is the use of animation media in Indonesian language learning to improve the learning outcomes of class I students at SDIT Bunayya Pekanbaru. This research was carried out in two cycles, each cycle was carried out over two meetings. Each cycle consists of four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The results of research on the use of animation media in Indonesian language learning in improving the learning outcomes of class I students at SDIT Bunayya Pekanbaru are that in the first cycle, 82.25% of teacher activities were in the good category, 83.2% of student learning outcomes were in the good category. In cycle II, the results of using animation media increased, 96.25% of teacher activities were in the very good category, 96% of student learning outcomes were in the very good category. The results of this research show that the use of animation media in Indonesian language learning improves the learning outcomes of class I students at SDIT Bunayya Pekanbaru improves student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas pembentukan karakter religius siswa kelas V MI Uways Alqorni Pekanbaru melalui pendidikan ekstrakurikuler tahfizh. Dalam konteks pendidikan, karakter religius menjadi elemen penting yang mendukung perkembangan moral dan spiritual siswa. Kegiatan tahfizh di sekolah ini dirancang untuk tidak hanya mengajarkan keterampilan menghafal Al-Qur'an, tetapi juga untuk menanamkan nilai-nilai agama yang kuat dalam diri siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi yang melibatkan siswa, guru, dan orang tua. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa partisipasi dalam kegiatan tahfizh berkontribusi signifikan terhadap pembentukan karakter religius. Siswa yang terlibat aktif menunjukkan peningkatan disiplin, tanggung jawab, dan rasa cinta terhadap Al-Qur'an. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga menemukan bahwa lingkungan belajar yang mendukung dan interaksi positif antara siswa dan pendidik memainkan peran penting dalam proses pembentukan karakter. Dengan demikian, pendidikan ekstrakurikuler tahfizh di MI Uways Alqorni tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai sarana pengembangan kemampuan akademis, tetapi juga sebagai wadah untuk membentuk generasi yang berakhlak mulia dan religius. Temuan ini menunjukkan pentingnya integrasi pendidikan karakter dalam kurikulum ekstrakurikuler di sekolah-sekolah Islam.

Abstract

Learning motivation is a fundamental pillar of educational success, especially at the elementary level where children’s curiosity and enthusiasm must be nurtured continuously. This study aims to explore the strategies employed by teachers to foster and enhance students’ learning motivation in the IPAS subject at SDIT Al-Manar Pekanbaru. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that teachers implemented a variety of strategies not only focused on academic achievement but also attentive to the emotional and individual needs of each student. Contextual learning, cooperative group activities, and the use of rewards and positive reinforcement effectively encouraged students to be more active and confident in their learning. Parental support and a supportive learning environment also played a crucial role in creating an enjoyable and meaningful learning experience. This study highlights that a humanistic and holistic approach by educators not only enhances students’ learning motivation but also fosters meaningful relationships in the educational process.

Abstract

Ramadan is a holy and blessed month for Muslims. During this month, Muslims are obligated to fast from dawn until sunset. In addition, Ramadan provides an opportunity for Muslims to strengthen their faith and piety as well as to enhance social bonds with others. In an effort to enhance faith, piety, and social connectedness, we took the initiative to organize the “Kampung Ramadan” (Ramadan Village) program. Community service activities are an integral part of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, which demands the active contribution of academic institutions in addressing real-world social issues. Kampung Ramadan, initiated by the Faculty of Islamic Studies at Universitas Muhammadiyah Riau, is a concrete form of spiritually and socially based service during the holy month. Through an interdisciplinary approach presented in a talk show entitled "Mental Health in the Perspective of Psychology, Economics, and Education," this activity aims to provide enlightenment and spiritual-mental reinforcement for the community. In addition, the distribution of zakat and collective worship further strengthens the values of Islamic brotherhood (ukhuwah islamiyah), social solidarity, and the quality of religious observance. This article presents a systematic review of the implementation of the program, the values it embodies, and its overall impact on both the community and the institution.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the learning independence of class III students at SDN 167 Pekanbaru in mathematics learning before and after using inquiry strategies. This research is classroom action research using the Kemmis and Taggart method, namely (plan, action, observation and reflection). This research consists of 2 cycles, each with 2 meetings. Data collection techniques use observation, field notes and documentation. Data analysis uses quantitative and qualitative. Research results: In the Pre-Cycle, most students were in the Less Independent category. Entering Cycle I, there is a clear improvement. The number of students in the Sufficiently Independent category has increased, but there are still students in the Less Independent category. In Cycle II, the most striking changes occurred. The number of students in the Very Independent category increased significantly. This shows that the majority of students now have a high level of independence, with great achievements in increasing their independence compared to the previous cycle.

Abstract

Based on observations and interviews, researchers at the school stated that there were 27 active students in class III who could read the Koran, 3 students and 24 students who were still in the iqra' learning stage. This research aims to find out the application of the iqra' method in overcoming Al-Quran illiteracy. 'an in class III students at SD Muhammadiyah 1 Pekanbaru, and to find out supporting factors and barriers in implementing the iqra method. To find out the best steps in overcoming illiteracy of the Koran at SD Muhammadiyah 1 Pekanbaru. is qualitative research, which aims to explore field data related to problems that have been formulated, using descriptive analysis methods. This research aims to provide an accurate explanation of the application of the Iqra' method in learning the Al-Qur'an to third grade students at SD Muhammadiyah Pekanbaru. The subjects in this research were third grade students at SD Muhammadiyah Pekanbaru, while the object of the research was the Iqra' method which was used to improve the ability to read the Al-Qur'an in the learning process. It can be concluded that the application of the iqra' method in overcoming illiteracy of the Al-Qur'an in class III students at SD Muhammadiyah 1 Pekanbaru. Al-Qur'an learning planning has been carried out including individual tests, class teachers, facilities and infrastructure. For the implementation of Al-Qur'an learning -Qur'an iqra' method, namely opening, apperception, skills/exercise, evaluation and closing. Supporting factors and barriers in implementing the iqra' method in overcoming illiteracy of the Koran at SD Muhamammdiyah 1 Pekanbaru. In a learning process there are several Factors that influence the achievement of learning objectives are supporting and barrier factors. In terms of supporting factors, there is school support, infrastructure and parental cooperation. Barrier factors include the lack of teachers in teaching, the lack of children's ability to learn, the lack of the role of parents in carrying out activities at home.
