Abstract

This research studies the form and the reference of the deictic words. The objective of this research is finding the form and the reference of deictic words used in the Bourne Identity script movie. In this research the writer uses the categories of deixis promoted by Levinson (1983). To conduct this research the writer uses observation and documentation method to collect the data’s needs. The observation is done by watching the film in several times. In order to obtain the objective mentioned, the data is gathered in the form of conversation excerption. After that, the writer analyses the deixis forms in the discourse of deixis by exploring the various kinds of deictic words phenomenon. In finding the meaning of deictic words the writer uses the Halliday’s concept of situational context as its instrument. The study shows that 1) there are five forms of deixis appears: there are 18 (26,45 %) of deictic words appear in person deixis, 16 (23,58 %) appear in place deixis, 10 (14,69 %) appear in time deixis, 11 (16,09 %) appear in social deixis and 13 (19,08 %) appear in discourse deixis form. 2) the reference can be explored that person deixis has we inclusive of addressee, we exclusive of addressee and reversal deictic. Deictic words in place deixis refers to location of the speaker at CT, point or location gesturally indicates, distal or proximal dimension from the speaker, proximal dimension to addressee at RT and how thing is where the addressee is. Deictic words of time deixis refer to past, present and future time. Deictic words in social deixis refer to absolute and relational social standing. Deictic words in discourse deixis refer to token reflexive and switch reference.

Abstract

Ecoprint, a fabric printing and dyeing technique utilizing natural dyes with leaves, is currently experiencing a surge in demand and becoming a trend among fashion entrepreneurs and textile craftsmen. The unique patterns created from leaves distinguish ecoprint from traditional batik designs in the market, making it highly appealing. Apietz Craft, a Small and Medium Enterprise (SME), was established at the beginning of 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic. Mostly operated by residents of Jl. Hasyim Ashari II, Sepanjang Village, Gondanglegi District, Malang Regency, the business faced challenges during the ecoprint fabric steaming process. The issues stemmed from the small size of the steaming pot and the lack of temperature control, leading to a decline in fabric quality. These obstacles hindered the ecoprint production process, resulting in suboptimal outcomes. In response to these challenges, this PKM program proposes a solution by introducing a technology transfer initiative. A smart steamer machine will be implemented, designed to accommodate a larger capacity and capable of monitoring temperature within the machine. This advancement aims to enhance production quality and improve production efficiency. The initiative is expected to address the current issues faced by our partner, enabling them to achieve optimal ecoprint fabric production. Abstract

MSMEs Syarimpon and Melos (Melati Losari) are Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises that focus on the production of herbal drinks in Malang Regency. However, during its development, these MSME players experienced several problems, one of which was the packaging process which was carried out manually. This makes the production process take longer and reduces work efficiency. Apart from that, the process of cutting packaging manually also causes a decrease in the quality of the packaging and its contents. To overcome this problem, one solution is to use a counter machine with an automatic counter. By using this machine, MSMEs can speed up the packaging process, produce precise and neat packaging, and provide the freedom to innovate in determining the size of the packaging to be produced. In the process of using this IoT-based Sachet Forming Machine, it has succeeded in increasing the productivity and quality of the packaging process by taking 3 -5 seconds for one herbal drink sachet so that each day it can increase production to 900 sachets per day. Where the packaging process is still done manually so it takes 4-5 minutes so the packaging process per day is only 50 to 100 PCS of herbal drinks. This research examines how physical evidence and trust influence purchasing decisions by placing purchase intention as an intervening variable at SRC Sumber Abadi Karangsari Village. The population of this research consists of unidentified SRC Sumber Abadi customers who make purchasing decisions. The research sample consisted of 112 respondents. Purposive sampling technique was used in this research with the criteria of being at least 18 years old and purchasing for your own use. Smart PLS 4.1.0.6 was used for data analysis following a questionnaire-based data collection procedure. The analysis findings show that physical evidence and trust directly have a positive and substantial impact on purchasing decisions. Purchase interest is directly influenced positively and significantly by both physical evidence and trust. Purchase decisions are directly influenced positively and significantly by purchase interest. Indirectly, purchasing decisions are influenced by physical evidence and trust through purchasing interest. However, even though the effect is positive and significant, the relationship is smaller between the indirect and direct effects. This means that buying interest is able to mediate but only partially between physical evidence and confidence in purchasing decisions.

Abstract

This research aims to describe how future physics teachers study mathematical physics. Physics students must master the existing material in Mathematical Physics mathematics well, thoroughly, and collaboratively. Data collection is done with lifts, interviews, and observations. Research results show that the learning process needs to be more contextual, less applicative, and highly dominant in mathematics; less attractive teaching materials and lectures are not designed to equip students with the skills of the 21st century. Learning does not use technology to help students solve physical problems. It causes students difficulty learning mathematical methods in physics. In fact, in learning mathematical physics, students must master the concepts related to mathematics tools and their applications. The ability to mathematically solve problems of physical phenomena and give meaning to mathematical models is built into critical aspects of learning. The solution that can be applied is to apply technology using software applications like Maple.

Abstract

In the context of rapidly advancing smart education systems, the effective management and optimization of modern classroom remain critical challenges. This research presents a novel methodology leveraging cloud and fog computing-based simulations, with a specific focus on the implementation of iFogSim. Empirical findings validate the efficacy of fog computing in monitoring classrooms, demonstrating significant improvements in performance metrics compared to traditional cloud computing architectures. Specifically, fog computing ensures remarkably low latency, with a mere 7 milliseconds, even with scalable integration across multiple classrooms. In contrast, cloud computing infrastructures exhibit considerably higher initial latencies, starting at 210 milliseconds, which further escalate with the increasing number of monitored classrooms. Furthermore, our analysis reveals substantially lower network overhead associated with fog computing, measuring at 5,231.8 kilobytes, in sharp contrast to the significantly higher network usage of 80,808 kilobytes observed with cloud computing solutions. These findings underscore the potential of fog computing as a promising solution for efficient and real-time management classroom in smart education environments.
