Abstract

Guna meningkatkan produksi padi sebagai makanan pokok di Indonesia, pemerintah melakukan berbagai langkah untuk meningkatkan produksi padi. Salah satunya merupakan program intensifikasi dengan penemuan varietas baru guna menemukan vaeritas yang unggul. Salah satu kultivar padi yang masih jarang dibudidaya adalah padi ungu atau Black Madras. Perlakuan yang diterapkan dalam budidaya padi ungu ini antara lain penerapan pola penggenangan dan tata letak penanaman. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pola penggenangan serta tata letak penanaman yang sesuai guna memperoleh produksi maksimal pada tanaman padi ungu. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret 2021 – Juni 2021 di lahan percobaan Jatimulyo Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Brawijaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Rancangan Tersarang (Nested) dengan 2 faktor yaitu pola penggenangan dan tata letak penanaman sebagai faktor tersarang. Pola penggenangan berselang 3 hari menghasilkan 3,56 t ha-1 sehingga meningkatkan produksi padi ungu 29,92% dari pada pola penggenangan berselang 7 hari. Tata letak jajar legowo 40 x 20 x 12,5 cm menghasilkan 3,58 t ha-1 sehingga meningkatkan hasil padi ungu sebesar 10,15 % dibandingkan dengan tata letak penanaman bujur sangkar 20 x 20 cm.

Abstract

A discrete logistic system with addition Allee effect and feedback control is analyzed in this paper. The results of the analysis show that the model has a trivial fixed point and interior fixed point. The results of our stability analysis show that there are topological differences that depend on the step size. Bifurcation analysis is performed by using the center manifold theory and the bifurcation theorem. By taking the step size as a bifurcation parameter, we show that the model may go through a period-doubling and Neimark-Sacker bifurcations. Some numerical simulations are performed to confirm the result of the analysis.

Abstract

Lumpy skin disease (LSD) is one of the cattle diseases that can spread rapidly, it is caused by lumpy skin disease virus (LSDV). LSDV can spread through direct contact, insect vectors, and contaminated environments. In this article, we propose the dynamics of a lumpy skin disease model that contains seven compartments: susceptible cattle, vaccinated cattle, infected cattle, recovered cattle, susceptible vector, infected vector, and LSDV in the environment. The non-negativity and boundedness of the solution of the proposed LSD model are shown. There are two equilibrium points: the disease-free equilibrium point which always exists, and the endemic equilibrium point which exists conditionally. The disease-free equilibrium point is locally and globally asymptotically stable when the basic reproduction number is less than unity. The endemic equilibrium is locally asymptotically stable if the Lienard-Chipart criteria is satisfied. In addition, based on the sensitivity analysis, we find that the vaccination rate is the most sensitive parameter. All analytical results have been verified by our numerical simulations.

Abstract

Images are one of many forms used to store important information that is easy to use and share, but they are vulnerable to cyber-attacks. An encryption effort is needed to secure the vital information in an image. In this paper, an encryption and decryption algorithm for grayscale and RGB images is proposed using logistic map with feedback control (LMFC). This 2D map which is an improvement from the popular one-dimensional logistic map also exhibits sensitive dependence on initial conditions, known as chaos. This phenomenon is verified through bifurcation diagram and the largest Lyapunov exponent. By using the largest Lyapunov exponent and the control parameters as secret key, LMFC generates two sequences of pseudo-random number related to the original image. Subsequently, a permutation process is proposed, utilizing permutation box to rearrange the pixel positions in the plain image. Finally, a diffusion process is proposed, utilizing XOR operations and keystreams created from the pseudo-random sequence to alter the pixel values, resulting in a visually distinct cipher image. Performance analysis of the proposed algorithm indicates resilience to various cryptanalysis and robust security, as it is sensitive to both secret keys and plain image. Additionally, the proposed decryption algorithm demonstrates the ability to reconstruct the original image with good quality from a cipher image, despite data changes or losses.

Abstract

This study proposes a SVEIL model of tuberculosis disease spread with imperfect vaccination. Susceptible individuals can receive imperfect vaccination, but over the time the vaccine efficacy will decrease. Vaccinated individuals are in vulnerable class since they still have probability to get reinfected. The proposed model includes treatment for both high-risk latent and active TB patients. In fact, after getting appropriate treatment (get recovered) the individuals still have bacteria in their body and it is classified to low-risk laten class. Dynamical behaviour of the model is analyzed to understand the local stability equilibrium. The Routh-Hurwitz criterion is used to analyze the local stability equilibrium in disease free equilibrium (DFE) point and Center Manifold theorem is used to prove the local stability of the endemic equilibrium (EE) point. The local stability equilibrium state totally depends on the effective reproduction number R_v. If R_v<1 , then the DFE point is locally asymtotically stable, while if R_v>1 the EE point is locally asymptotically stable . The parameter used in this paper is based on the previous researches related to TB and the initial subpopulations are assumed. Numerical simulations show that the disease transmission rate affect the effective reproduction number, therefore it influences the stability of equilibrium points..

Abstract

The quality of sugarcane decreases after harvesting so that it affects the yield and sugar production. The objective of this study was to determine the decline in sugarcane production and sugar yield in different varieties and milling delay time. This study used a split plot design consisting of three varieties (PS 881; PSJK 922; Bululawang) as the main plot and delay time (0; 2; 4 days) as sub plots with three replications so that 27 experimental units need to be provided. The observation parameters consisted of initial stalk weight, stalk weight after delay time, initial yield per hectare, yield per hectare after delay time, ºbrix, %pol, purity, cane yield and sugar yield. Results show that variety and delay time had an effect on stalk weight loss, juice quality, cane and sugar yield. PS 881 and PSJK 922 varieties showed better juice quality and higher cane and sugar yield compared to Bululawang varieties. Sugarcane with a delay time of up to 4 days showed lower stalk weight, juice quality, cane and sugar yield as compared to no delay time. The loss of stalk weight and yield of sugarcane at 2 days delaying time can reach 9.2% and 12.3% at 4 days delay time. Keywords: Delaying time, Juice quality, Sugarcane, Varieties.

Abstract

The “Sendang Bulus” tourist park is one of the interesting and natural tourist destinations. This park is famous for the presence of bulus (Pig-snouted Turtle) and its natural beauty which attracts visitors. To increase the attractiveness of the Sendang Bulus tourist park, the service team conducted a survey and observation at the location, where an important finding was obtained: the need for aesthetic and instagramable photo spots as a means of promoting the tourist park. The purpose of the service is to make the Sendang Bulus tourist park more aesthetic and instgaramabale, so that it can further increase tourist attractiveness to attract visitors to enliven the Sendang Bulus tourist park. The activity methods used in the service are interviews, observation, documentation, planning, activity implementation, activity evaluation.  In developing this tourist park, the service team carried out various activities ranging from making pergola arch photo spots decorated with acrylic letters “Sendang Bulus” with aesthetic decorative garden chairs in front of them, making photo spots from dead trees decorated with synthetic leaves and fruits, to installing aesthetic solar decorative garden lights. The added value is expected to provide a positive correlation to tourist visits due to the easier promotion of the name Sendang Bulus to the outside world with the existence of attractive, aesthetic and instagramable photo spots.

Abstract

An experiment to study the effect of water lettuce (Pistia stratiotes L.) application and N, P, K fertilizer on growth and yield of rice was carried out on inceptisol soil at Mojosari Research Farm, Mojokerto, East Java, Indonesia, ± 100 m asl, from December 2007 to April 2008. The experiment was arranged in a Split Plot Design with three replications. Water lettuce application as main plot consisted of four treatments, they are: without water lettuce, water lettuce planted in the rice plot, water lettuce incorporated in the soil, and water lettuce applied as compost. Three dosages of N-P2O5 -K2O fertilizer as sub plot consisted of 135-27-30, 101.25-20.25-22.5, and 67.5-13.5-15 kg ha-1. The results showed that the application of 135-27- 30 or 101.25-20.25-22.5 kg N-P2O5 -K2O ha-1 and the application of water lettuce did not signifi cantly affect rice yields. The combination of 135-27-30 or 135-27-30 kg N-P2O5 -K2O of ha-1 and 3 ton water lettuce compost ha-1 increased the growth of rice at 30 days after sowing. Application of water lettuce did not interact with N, P and K fertilizer application in affecting rice yield components.Keywords: fertilizer, low external input, rice, water lettuce

Abstract

Kemajuan teknologi informasi membuka peluang besar bagi pengembangan pembelajaran matematika berbasis digital di Madrasah Aliyah (MA) Kota Batu, meskipun masih terdapat kesenjangan keterampilan teknologi di kalangan guru dan resistensi terhadap perubahan metode. Untuk menjawab tantangan tersebut, Tim Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) 2025 Departemen Matematika Universitas Brawijaya, yang terdiri atas lima dosen dan lima mahasiswa, menyelenggarakan pelatihan peningkatan kompetensi guru dalam pemanfaatan Artificial Intelligence (AI) DeepSeek dan aplikasi Canva sebagai media pembelajaran. Kegiatan berlangsung pada Jumat, 1 Agustus 2025 di MAN Batu dengan peserta 18 guru matematika MA dan MTs. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi koordinasi, penyebaran kuesioner, penyampaian materi, praktik pembuatan bahan ajar digital, diskusi interaktif, pendampingan kelompok, serta evaluasi melalui pre-test dan post-test. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan guru, yaitu sebesar 8,66% pada penggunaan DeepSeek dan 14,7% pada Canva. Analisis statistik dengan paired t-test menegaskan bahwa peningkatan tersebut signifikan pada kedua materi, sehingga pelatihan terbukti efektif. Selain itu, suasana pelatihan yang aktif dan partisipatif mendorong motivasi guru untuk mengintegrasikan teknologi ke dalam proses pembelajaran. Monitoring dan evaluasi mengindikasikan bahwa program ini tidak hanya memperluas literasi digital, tetapi juga memperkuat kemampuan guru dalam merancang pembelajaran matematika yang inovatif, interaktif, dan berbasis teknologi digital. Disimpulkan bahwa pelatihan ini efektif meningkatkan kompetensi guru, meskipun diperlukan program lanjutan dengan durasi lebih panjang dan pendampingan berkelanjutan agar manfaatnya lebih optimal serta dapat diimplementasikan secara konsisten dalam praktik pembelajaran. Abstract

Tanaman padi (Oryza sativa L.) adalah komoditas utama di Indonesia karena sebagian besar penduduk mengandalkan padi sebagai beras yang menjadi makanan pokok mereka. Penggunaan mulsa plastik hitam putih (MPHP) menjadi salah satu solusi efektif dalam mengatasi penerimaan cahaya matahari secara optimal dalam budidaya padi. Mulsa hitam putih adalah teknik pertanian yang melibatkan penutupan tanah disekitar tanaman padi dengan bahan plastik berwarna hitam putih. Manfaat penggunaan mulsa hitam putih meliputi penghambatan pertumbuhan gulma, membantu daun bagian bawah tanaman padi menerima cahaya pantul atau albedo dan membuat proses fotosintesis optimal. Tujuan Penelitian ini untuk mempelajari pengaruh albedo pada pertumbuhan dari penggunaan mulsa plastik hitam putih (MPHP) dan konvensional pada tanaman padi (Oryza sativa L.) varietas Inpari-32. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Oktober 2023 sampai Februari 2024, di Kebun Percobaan Jatimulyo, salah satu lahan di Universitas Brawijaya yang terletak di Desa Jatimulyo, Kecamatan Lowokwaru, Kota Malang, Jawa Timur, Indonesia. Metode penelitian ini disusun menggunakan Uji-T atau T-test yang terdiri dari 2 perlakuan dengan 20 tanaman sample. Data yang didapatkan dari hasil pengamatan akan dianalisis menggunakan Uji-T dengan taraf 1% dan 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perlakuan mulsa plastik hitam putih (MPHP) memberikan nilai albedo lebih tinggi dibandingan dengan konvensional, pada parameter pertumbuhan yaitu jumlah daun,  luas daun, indeks luas daun, dan jumlah anakan lebih tinggi pada perlakuan mulsa plastik hitam putih (MPHP). Penggunaan mulsa plastik hitam putih (MPHP) mampu menghasilkan bobot gabah kering giling (GKG) sebesar 5,30 ton.ha-1 lebih berat 6% dibandingkan dengan konvensional yang hanya sebesar 4,97 ton.ha-1.
