Abstract

Bogor Regency has a high risk of landslides due to geological factors, steep slopes, high rainfall, and changes in land use. This study analyzes the distribution of landslide risk using a Geographic Information System (GIS) with four main parameters (geology, rainfall, slope, and land use) that are weighted and overlaid using ArcGIS. The results show that the southern part of Bogor, especially Cigudeg, Nanggung, Leuwiliang, and Pamijahan, is at high risk due to a combination of geological and climatic conditions. The resulting landslide risk map provides important input for local governments in spatial planning, land management, and community preparedness. This study highlights the important role of geospatial technology in supporting evidence-based mitigation strategies and sustainable development in disaster-prone areas.

Abstract

Epoxy resin coatings containing Bisphenol A (BPA) are widely used in canned food packaging, including sardine cans. They may pose a risk of chemical migration into food products under specific conditions. This study aimed to evaluate BPA migration into food simulants, acetic acid (1%, 3%, and 10%) and ethanol (10%, 20%, and 50%), at three temperatures (60 °C, 100 °C, and 121 °C). Migration levels were quantified using High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) with UV-Vis detection. Preliminary analysis of five sardine can brands revealed BPA concentrations ranging from 0.0052 to 0.0487 mg/kg. Results demonstrated a significant increase in BPA migration with both simulant concentration and temperature. In ethanol, migration increased by 437% when the concentration rose from 10% to 50% at 121 °C, while a 92% increase was observed in acetic acid from 1% to 10% under the same conditions. Temperature had a more pronounced effect: BPA migration in 20% ethanol rose by 3,714% between 60 °C and 121 °C. Migration in 3% acetic acid increased from undetectable to 0.1515 mg/kg across the same temperature range. These findings indicate that BPA migration is significantly influenced by simulant type, concentration, and temperature, underscoring the necessity for stringent control over packaging conditions to ensure food safety.

Abstract

The increasing population has resulted in a higher volume of waste at the Galuga landfill, generating leachate that potentially contaminates the surrounding shallow groundwater. Groundwater serves as a crucial source for domestic needs; thus, its contamination poses serious health risks and threatens ecological balance. This study aims to analyze the quality of shallow groundwater around the Galuga landfill and to map its spatial distribution as a foundation for sustainable environmental monitoring and management. The research methods included collecting groundwater samples from seven representative points along the groundwater flow direction, analyzing physical parameters (temperature, pH, turbidity), chemical parameters (Fe, Mn, NO₃⁻, and Cl⁻), and microbiological parameters (E. coli and total coliform), followed by calculating the Water Quality Index (WQI) using the NSF-WQI method. The findings revealed that several parameters, particularly Fe, Mn, E. coli, and total coliform, exceeded the permissible drinking water standards established by the Indonesian Ministry of Health Regulation No. 492/Menkes/Per/IV/2010. The average WQI score of 61.30 indicates a moderate water quality category. Therefore, it can be concluded that the shallow groundwater surrounding the Galuga landfill has been contaminated and is not suitable for direct consumption as drinking water. Consequently, it is recommended to implement more effective leachate management systems and conduct regular groundwater quality monitoring to prevent further contamination and safeguard community health and environmental sustainability.

Abstract

Abstract

Lombok Barat Regency, located on Lombok Island, frequently experiences water scarcity due to its semi-arid climate and prolonged dry seasons. Agricultural and plantation activities in this region rely heavily on limited freshwater resources, particularly in dryland areas. Meanwhile, mosques continuously generate relatively clean greywater from daily ablution (wudu) activities. Despite its regular availability and relatively low contamination level, this resource remains largely underutilized. This study examines the spatial planning of mosque-based wudu water collection networks in West Lombok as a potential supplementary water source for plantation and dryland irrigation. A spatial analytical framework combining K-Means clustering and the Minimum Spanning Tree (MST) algorithm was applied and implemented through an interactive RShiny application. Spatial data from 940 mosques were preprocessed and analyzed. K-Means clustering at Level 1 grouped mosques into 25 local service clusters, while Level 2 clustering aggregated these clusters into five main reservoir zones. A cost-weighted MST based on Haversine distance was then used to estimate the minimum pipeline length required to connect mosques within the proposed network configuration. The results show that the modeled network connects all 940 mosques with a minimum total pipeline length of 411,757.28 meters and could potentially collect approximately 282,000 liters of reusable wudu water per day. However, the model represents a preliminary spatial planning framework and does not include hydraulic simulations, water quality validation, treatment system design, or operational feasibility assessment.

Abstract

Education is essentially an activity carried out by students producing changes in themselves. STEM-based learning(Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) can train students to apply their knowledge and improvescience process skills in learning using digital technology. Learning model recommended for use in the MerdekaCurriculum is a student-centred learning model, one of which is the Project Based Learning (PjBL). This study willanalyse the influence of STEM education integrated with a digital-based PjBL model on improving students' scienceprocess skills. This research uses the meta-analysis method. Research data were obtained from national andinternational journals. The meta-analysis study is based on indicators of science process skills. Based on secondarydata review, it shows that the integration of PjBL with digital-based STEM can be maximally implemented if theteacher is directly involved in learning, where the teacher acts as an inspirer, motivator, and facilitator. The learningstages of integrating PjBL with digital-based STEM starting from the design process to presenting the results canimprove students' science process skills. The integration of PjBL with digital-based STEM must be well prepared, starting from the use of learning strategies must be well designed and the dimensions of the assessment must becarefully selected so that the use of multidisciplinary learning is expected to be well realized in secondary education.
