Abstract

As an effort to improve the quality and success of the simultaneous regional head elections (PILKADA) to be held in 2024, it is hoped that leaders can be elected who can bring progress to regions in West Sulawesi Province and Majene Regency. The success of a regional head election process cannot be separated from the level of community participation involved, and to increase public participation, it is necessary to strengthen political awareness to the community, including the younger generation, where almost 60% of the number of voters are the younger generation, so it is very important to be given strengthening political awareness to the younger generation, especially in Majene Regency. The purpose of this community service is to strengthen political awareness for the younger generation in facing the 2024 regional elections in Majene district. This service is in partnership with the National and Political Unity Agency (BAKESBANGPOL) and the Majene Regency KPU, involving lecturers and students of open universities and the University of West Sulawesi, with stages 1) Preparation; 2) Coordination with strategic partners; 3) Implementation of Focus Group Discusion 4) Carrying out socialization to strengthen political awareness among the younger generation in facing the 2024 regional elections in Majene district. The results obtained in this activity are expected to increase political awareness in the younger generation in facing the 2024 regional elections.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country rich in cultural values passed down from generation to generation, such as folklore. This challenge is be-cause folklore in Indonesia is told orally and mostly only docu-mented in the form of story books. So that folklore can be re-interested by children and to achieve the objectives of the learning process, visualizations are made using Virtual Reality technology. The folklore that will be raised is a folk tale from the province of Southeast Sulawesi entitled About the Knights and the Garuda Bird in the Legend of the Formation of Mount Mekongga. The purpose of this research is to be able to maintain folklore as a national cul-ture in the midst of the development of fictional stories by utilizing Virtual Reality technology. By using 2D moving image visualization and using Virtual Reality technology with the Sprint Model, it is hoped that students will be more interested in knowing folklore. There is an effect of learning models using Virtual on students on folklore material in class VII at SMPN 2 Kendari based on the gain test results that get a value of 0.6093, meaning that the learning outcomes before getting treatment with already getting treatment have increased by 0.6093. Student responses to questionnaires from student answers obtained a percentage of 85.5%, student responses after the learning process can be included in the "Very Strong" category. So, it can be concluded that the learning process by applying Virtual Reality gets a good response from all students.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the performance assessment of civil servants (PNS) at the Regional Finance and Assets Agency of Gorontalo Regency. Performance assessment is a key element in effective human resource management, and is important to ensure that this policy is implemented correctly in order to improve organizational performance in Gorontalo district's regional financial and asset bodies. There are several supporting factors such as commitment from regional leaders and support from central government policies. This research method uses descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques were carried out using observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques begin data collection, data reduction, data display and drawing conclusions or verification.The research findings show that the Civil Servant Performance Assessment at the Gorontalo Regency Regional Finance and Assets Agency is effective and efficient.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze how public service based on innovation (E- Government) is implemented at the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Gorontalo Province, focusing on 1) support, 2) capacity, and 3) benefits. To achieve this objective, qualitative methods were used, with descriptive data analysis. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation, employing qualitative descriptive analysis. The findings indicate that the E-Government-based public service innovation carried out by the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Gorontalo Province involves: 1) support in the form of training for staff on system usage and community outreach to ensure understanding of the SISKOHAT system. Additionally, coordination with system developers was conducted to improve and update the application according to user needs. 2) Capacity refers to several IT tools and systems that support electronic public services; however, frequent technical issues, such as system disruptions or hardware limitations, hinder electronic service delivery. 3) The benefits of SISKOHAT include efficient and integrated management of congregation data, which enhances service delivery to congregants by providing more accurate information.

Abstract

An effective and fun learning process plays an important role in increasing students' interest in understanding culture, one of which is folklore, based on an initial survey at SDN Keleyan 1 the available learning media is less interesting and interactive, so that students' interest in folklore decreases by up to 60%. This research aims to develop e-comics as a learning medium for folklore for grade VI students. This type of research is development using the ADDIE model with the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Data collection techniques include observation and questionnaires. Data analysis was carried out in a quantitative descriptive manner to assess the feasibility and effectiveness of the product. The results of this study are in the form of e-comics which show that e-comics are very feasible with a 100% feasibility percentage based on expert assessments. Student responses to small and large group trials reached 92.38% and 90.24%, with features such as dynamic illustrations, interactive quizzes, and engaging storylines. Students' comprehension improved by an average of 35% after using e-comics.  E-comics are effective and feasible to be used as a learning medium that can increase students' interest and understanding of folklore. This media makes a theoretical contribution to the development of culture-based digital learning and is ready to be used in the classroom or independently.

Abstract

This research was conducted at the PAUD level driving school in Majene Regency, West Sulawesi Province. The subjects in this study were 24 teachers from 4 PAUD schools throughout Majene Regency. questionnaire techniques, observation and documentation. Based on the results of the analysis of 23 teachers from 4 second-generation driving schools in Majene Regency, namely Usman Bin Affan Kindergarten/PAUD with 12 teachers, Asyiyah Barane Kindergarten with 1 teacher, Salabose Kindergarten with 6 teachers, and Muttiamah Kindergarten with 4 teachers, it can be seen that the mean of the implementation of the independent curriculum is 87.75 or is in the interval 75-90 which means that the implementation of the independent curriculum in kindergartens/PAUD driving schools throughout Majene Regency, Batch-2 is included in the "Good" category. Based on the results of the person correlation test, it was found that Rhitung = 0.078 <Rtabel, which is 0.433. So it can be concluded that there is no significant relationship between the implementation of the independent curriculum (X) and teacher performance (Y). Thus, H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, which means that there is no significant influence on the implementation of the independent curriculum on teacher performance.

Abstract

Digital transformation in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 and society 5.0 provides opportunities for the public sector, including in the procurement of government goods/services, to increase efficiency, transparency, and accountability. This study aims to analyze the implementation of digital transformation in the procurement of goods/services in Gorontalo Province through e-catalogues and online stores (e-purchasing). Research data was collected through in-depth interview methods, observations, and analysis of documents related to procurement transactions. The results of the study show that procurement digitalization has increased the involvement of local MSMEs and minimized the potential for misappropriation. However, there are a number of technical obstacles that affect the smooth implementation, such as the lack of readiness of human resources (HR) and the limitations of integration between digital platforms. To optimize the results of this transformation, more intensive human resource training and improvement of supporting technology infrastructure are needed. Thus, the digital transformation of procurement of goods/services in Gorontalo has the potential to become a more transparent and efficient procurement governance model in the future.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the Minimum Service Standard policy in the social sector in Gorontalo Province. The implementation of Minimum Service Standards in the social sector in Gorontalo Province has still not reached the expected optimal target. Some of the main factors that affect the implementation of the Minimum Service Standards in this area include budget limitations, lack of adequate service facilities, and weak coordination between related institutions. This study uses a retroactive evaluation approach to assess the extent to which the implementation of this policy is running, focusing on the potential, policy, and impact of the implementation of the Minimum Service Standards in the field. Based on the results of the analysis, it was found that the achievement of the Minimum Service Standards indicator in several categories is still low, especially in services for people with disabilities, abandoned children, and the elderly in social institutions. This shortage is caused by limited regional budget allocation, lack of professionals, and the absence of more detailed derivative regulations to support policy implementation at the operational level. In addition, the synergy between institutions in the implementation of social programs is also not optimal, resulting in the low quality of services provided to the community. The implications of these findings show that there is a need for the preparation of more specific derivative regulations, institutional capacity building, and more adequate budget allocation to support the implementation of Minimum Service Standards in Gorontalo Province. With improvements in these three aspects, it is hoped that the quality of social services in Gorontalo Province can meet national standards and have a more positive impact on the welfare of people in need. This research makes an important contribution to more effective policy-making in efforts to optimize social services in accordance with the Minimum Service Standards.

Abstract

This study aims to examine how time, accuracy, and service delivery style affect the effectiveness of E-KTP registration services at the Population and Civil Registration Office of Boalemo Regency. The study employed a qualitative methodology with techniques of data collection, including interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis was then conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the effectiveness of E-KTP registration services at the Population and Civil Registration Office of Boalemo Regency is determined as satisfactory. However, considering the time, accuracy, and service delivery style, it is not yet optimal. Among the factors studied, time and accuracy are identified as suboptimal. Time is influenced by equipment readiness and staff capacity, with challenges such as network issues and equipment malfunctions affecting service duration. Meanwhile, accuracy is generally adequate, however, technical errors in data input and verification persist, primarily due to insufficient re-verification by staff. This suggests that implementing, accuracy in E-KTP registration services remains less than optimal.

Abstract

Mitra dalam kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah guru-guru SMAN 17 Lamuru, Kabupaten Bone, yang berjumlah 25 orang. Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi mitra meliputi (1) Kurangnya pengetahuan dalam pemanfaatan teknologi informasi untuk mengakses sumber dan bahan ajar, (2) Kurangnya keterampilan dalam menggunakan media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis teknologi, dan (3) variasi proses pembelajaran yang masih terbatas. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, solusi yang disepakati adalah (1) pelatihan pemanfaatan teknologi informasi, (2) pelatihan dan pendampingan pengembangan modul ajar elektronik, dan (3) implementasi pemanfaatan teknologi informasi dan modul ajar elektronik. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan melalui metode pendampingan berupa ceramah, tanya jawab, diskusi, brainstorming, demonstrasi, dan praktik kerja. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian ini menunjukkan peningkatan keberdayaan Mitra dalam dua aspek, yaitu pengetahuan teknologi informasi dan keterampilan pengembangan modul ajar elektronik. Pada aspek pengetahuan teknologi informasi, peningkatan terjadi dalam rentang 26% hingga 32%, yang mencerminkan keberhasilan pelatihan dalam memperkuat kemampuan guru untuk mengakses dan memanfaatkan teknologi dalam pembelajaran. Pada aspek keterampilan pengembangan modul ajar elektronik, peningkatan berkisar antara 27% hingga 33%, menunjukkan efektivitas pelatihan dalam membekali guru dengan keterampilan yang relevan untuk menciptakan modul ajar yang interaktif. Hasil ini mengindikasikan bahwa kegiatan pengabdian berhasil memberdayakan guru-guru di SMAN 17 Lamuru, sehingga mereka lebih siap menghadapi tuntutan pembelajaran modern.
