Abstract

The millennial era, characterized by rapid access to information through technology and its positive and negative impacts, presents problems for character education in Indonesia. Therefore, character education is essential to overcome these negative impacts, with systematic intervention from the government. Indonesia is still lagging behind neighboring countries in terms of character education, focusing more on academic achievement. Education should not only provide knowledge, but also build character, in line with the national values enshrined in the 1945 Constitution. In the context of globalization, technology can socially isolate people, even though technology facilitates access to information. Teachers, especially those who teach character-centered subjects, must act as role models and facilitators for students who are heavily influenced by information from smartphones. Character encompasses behavior, personality, and the application of good values, so education should be geared towards forming responsible and socially engaged individuals.

Abstract

Character education is essential for shaping online ethics in Generation Z, who grow up in a digitally connected environment. Challenges from foreign cultures and digital influences risk altering their norms and character. Islamic education, based on religious values, plays a role in building strong character to counter the negative impacts of digitalization. This study uses a literature review to analyze the role of religious character education in the digital era. Character education, grounded in Pancasila and Islamic teachings, aims to create ethical, responsible, and integrity-driven individuals. Challenges include exposure to negative content and social media. The internalization of religious values helps protect students from the negative effects of the digital world, enhances digital literacy, and guides them in discerning information wisely. Teachers are expected to adapt their teaching methods to support students' character development in this digital age.

Abstract

Effective communication is an exchange of ideas, feelings and information that can produce changes in behavior, so that a good relationship is established between the sender and recipient of the message. Tasamuh is an attitude of tolerance that must be created within the scope of Islamic education in this century. The current problem is that we see various learning in schools that are unable to achieve learning goals simply because of dis-communication between teachers and students and a lack of mutual respect between each other. The problem that often occurs and is the simplest in communication is that listening skills tend to be lacking. This research is qualitative in nature, using book contents as a source of information to analyze and understand various theories or concepts through book research. This research was carried out using a descriptive approach with qualitative methods as part of collecting the required data. The objectives of this research are: 1. What is the participation of the Alpha generation in carrying out effective learning? 2. What is the teacher's view of the impact of effective learning? 3. What is the teacher's view before and after carrying out effective learning? The theoretical implications of the results of this research increasingly emphasize that religious tolerance and morality are a unified whole in Islamic education which refers to acceptance of differences in gender, race and lifestyle.

Abstract

The research aims to examine the literature on applying artificial intelligence (AI) in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) materials to evaluate its effectiveness in enhancing interaction and learning quality. This literature review explores how AI can facilitate interactive and adaptive learning experiences tailored to students' needs while strengthening the overall effectiveness of PAI instruction. This study employs a qualitative approach through a literature review, analyzing 30 sources from the past decade (2014–2024) related to educational technology, AI implementation, and PAI teaching materials. Previous research indicates that AI in PAI materials can personalize learning, provide real-time feedback, and improve student engagement with the content. However, AI may also reduce interpersonal interaction in religious discussions. Therefore, integrating AI with discussion-based learning is recommended for optimal outcomes. The development of AI-based PAI materials has the potential to enhance learning effectiveness and foster more dynamic interactions in the digital era. Academically, the research emphasizes the significance of hybrid learning that combines AI with active learning methods and underscores the need to balance technology with teacher-student interaction in education.

Abstract

The domestic cosmetic industry in Indonesia continues to experience steady growth, driven by increasing market demand and evolving beauty trends. This demand is fueled by consumer interest in multifunctional cosmetic products. This study examines the influence of product attributes, halal labels, religiosity, and word of mouth (WOM) on purchasing decisions for Wardah cosmetics among female students at an Islamic boarding school in Kalibeber, Mojotengah, Wonosobo. Using a quantitative approach and linear regression analysis, data were collected from 100 respondents selected through random sampling. The results indicate that all four factors significantly impact purchasing decisions. Product attributes positively affect consumer choices, highlighting the importance of quality, design, and features. Halal labels play a crucial role in building trust and ensuring compliance with Islamic principles. Religiosity strongly influences decision-making, as students prioritize products aligned with their faith. WOM also significantly impacts purchasing behavior, especially within close-knit communities. Collectively, these variables explain 50% of the variance in purchasing decisions. The findings emphasize the need for manufacturers to focus on product development, clear halal certification, and strategies that encourage positive WOM to enhance consumer trust and brand loyalty in religiously conscious markets.

Abstract

Although existing literature on e-learning in PAI (Islamic Religious Education) often highlights its effectiveness, available insights remain limited regarding the resilience aspect of training programs, especially for teachers implementing the Merdeka Curriculum in resource-constrained 3T (frontier, outermost, and underdeveloped) regions. Thus, the purpose of this research is to analyze the resilience and effectiveness of e-learning-based training for the implementation of the Kurikulum Merdeka in improving the quality of learning by Islamic Religious Education teachers at MAN Landak. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that e-learning training significantly improves the pedagogical and professional competencies of PAI teachers. The training has proven resilient to changes in educational contexts and contributes positively to learning quality, as evidenced by increased student engagement, diverse teaching methods, and improved learning outcomes. The study highlights that such training demonstrates significant resilience to change, leading to improved PAI learning quality. Specifically, the e-learning program not only enhanced teachers' technical skills but also cultivated a new learning culture, fostering reflective, innovative, and continuously self-developing teachers prepared for 21st-century educational challenges. Furthermore, the e-learning method was found to be highly effective, especially within the Merdeka Belajar framework where practice is integral. This was evidenced by high student learning interest and increased engagement through practical application, which provided meaningful and in-depth learning experiences. The implementation of e-learning is deemed highly effective in delivering learning within the framework of the Kurikulum Merdeka.

The content validity test was carried out by three experts and the construct validity test. The reliability test used SEM-PLS version 3.0. The data analysis technique used was the mixed method technique. Quantitative analysis used the mean formula which was continued with qualitative analysis. The results of the study found that students' pedagogical and social competencies were high and had very high personality and professional competencies. The results of the interview found several shortcomings in students' pedagogical competencies, namely in making lesson plans, and making computer-based learning media.
