Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan kolaboratif siswa dengan menggunakan lembar kerja siswa berbasis saintifik siswa kelas XI Madrasah Aliyah Negeri  1 Dompu tahun ajaran 2020/2021 dengan jumlah siswa 11 orang. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui lembar observasi. Lembar observasi digunakan untuk mengamati keterampilan kolaboratif siswa. Adapun teknik analisis datanya menggunakan teknik analisis data secara kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa  siklus I diperoleh hasil rata-rata keterampilan kolaborasi siswa sebesar 62,5, dengan katagori tinggi dan pada siklus II sebesar 75,2 dengan katagori sangat tinggi rata-rata peningkatan dari siklus I ke siklus II  sebesar  13,6 melalui pembelajaran dengan menggunakan LKS berbasis saintifik  Improving Student Collaboration Skills Using Science-Based Student Worksheets  This research is a classroom action research that aims to improve students' collaborative skills by using scientific-based student worksheets for class XI Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 the Dompu academic year 2020/2021 with a total of 11 students. Data were collected through observation sheets. Observation sheets were used to observe students' collaborative skills. The data analysis technique uses quantitative and qualitative data analysis techniques. The results showed that the first cycle obtained an average student collaboration skill of 62.5, with a high category, and in the second cycle of 75.2 with a very high category the average increase from cycle I to cycle II was 13.6 through learning. using scientific-based worksheets

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi penerapan model pembelajaran Gagnon and Collay berbantuan games dalam meningkatkan motivasi dan prestasi belajar siswa pada materi karakteristik makhluk hidup. Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII SMP Muhammadiyah Mataram. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dalam dua siklus. Data motovasi belajar siswa dikumpulkan dengan quisioner dan data hasil belajar dikumpulkan dengan tes. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis mengunakan statistik deskriptif. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data  menunjukan bahwa pada siklus I rata-rata motivasi belajar siswa sebesar 62,5% dengan kategori termotivaasi dan meningkat pada siklus II menjadi 75,6% dengan kategori sangat termotivasi. Kondisi tersebut memperlihatkan adanya peningkatan sebesar 13,18%. Sementara data rata-rata prestasi belajar siswa  pada siklus 1 sebesar 74.2% dan meningkat pada siklus II sebesar 80,9% dengan nilai rata-rata peningkatan yaitu 14,9% setelah dilakukan tindakan pada setiap siklusnya. Berdasarkan analisis data penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Gagnon and Collay berbantuan games dapat meningkatkan motivasi dan prestasi belajar siswa kelas VII pada mata pembelajaran IPA-Biologi SMP Muhammadiyah Mataram. The Application Of The Gagnon And Collay Learning Model Helps Games In Increasing Student Motivation And Learning Achievement  The purpose of this study is to identify the application of the Gagnon and Collay learning model assisted by games in increasing student motivation and learning achievement on material characteristics of living beings. The subject of this study was a grade VII student of Muhammadiyah Mataram Junior High School. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research (PTK) which is carried out in two cycles. Student learning data were collected with questionnaires and learning outcomes data were collected with tests. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive statistics. Based on the results of data analysis, it shows that in cycle I the average student learning motivation was 62.5% with the category of termivation and increased in cycle II to 75.6% with the category of highly motivated. This condition showed an increase of 13.18%. Meanwhile, the average data on student learning achievement in cycle 1 was 74.2% and increased in cycle II by 80.9% with an average score of 14.9% after actions were taken in each cycle. Based on the analysis of research data, it can be concluded that the application of the Gagnon and Collay learning model assisted by games can increase the motivation and learning achievement of grade VII students in the science-biology learning course of Muhammadiyah Mataram Junior High School.

Abstract

The incidence of the disease is one of the problems faced by beef cattle farms in Lombok Island, West Nusa Tenggara Province in increasing the production and productivity of livestock. On smallholder livestock, beef cattle are maintained intensively using a collective cage group, making it easier to manage and promote them. This aim is to analyze the status of the sustainability of the development of beef cattle smallholder farming based on collective cages in Lombok Island from the dimension of disease incidence. The method used to determine the sustainability status is Multi-Dimensional Scaling (MDS) with the Rapid Appraisal Beef Cattle Diseases (RAPBCD) approach of 20 diseases as attributes. The sensitive attributes that affect the sustainability index and the effect of errors are determined based on the Leverage analysis and Monte Carlo test. The results of the sustainability analysis showed that the status of the dimensions of the disease incidence dimension was 56.38%. The analysis results of the 20 diseases as attributes studied, 9 diseases (diarrhea, scabies, flatulence, itching, demodec, pink eye, anthrax, reproductive, epizootic septimea) are sensitive attributes and need to be improved because they will affect increasing the value of the sustainability index. Determination of the key factors of sustainability is obtained by prospective analysis to determine the future strategy for the development of collective cage-based beef cattle smallholder farming. The conclusion is that the status of the sustainability of the development of collective cage-based beef cattle smallholder farming on Lombok Island from the dimension of disease incidence is in a fairly sustainable category with four recommended development strategies, namely: strategies to improve beef cattle health management; increasing access to information and livestock health technology; increasing the role of the government, businessmen, and other stakeholders and strengthening farmer institutions, farmer economic institutions.

Abstract

Critical thinking has important applications in every area of life and learning and is allegedly the main theme and goal of achieving competence in learning. Critical thinking can be taught through learner-centered interactive learning using learning tools that are relevant to the attributions of achievement of critical thinking skills. This study aims to develop a conceptual framework for evaluative-process learning tools based on conceptual-problem-based learning models to train students' critical thinking. The conceptual framework in question is a hypothetical evaluative-process framework based on the CPBL model, this is supported by the accompanying textbook mode. This study is a preliminary research (develop preliminary form of product). The product in question is an evaluative-process tool based on the CPBL model to train students' critical thinking. In accordance with the objectives of this study, the hypothetical framework was developed based on: a) research and information collecting; and b) planning. Research and information collecting is based on several aspects that have been carried out by researchers, namely a review of literature, classroom observation, and preparation of a state-of-the-art report. While in the planning process, defining skills and stating objectives determining course sequence have been carried out, where in the study conducted, critical thinking skills have been determined as the main aspect of the objectives of development, and the CPBL model has been determined as the basis model in the development of evaluative-process tools. The focus in this study covers two main aspects, namely developing a hypothetical evaluative-process framework based on the CPBL model and developing a textbook framework as an evaluative-process supporting tool based on the CPBL model.

Abstract

This study aims to understand the condition of digital literacy skills of S1 students of the biology education study program, Faculty of Science, Engineering and Applied (FSTT) Mandalika University of Education (Undikma). Cross-sectional study with a survey method that aims to analyze variable data collected at a certain point in time throughout the sample population or a predetermined subset. The population of this study is all active Biology Education study program students as many as 212 students. The research sample amounted to 86 students as respondents obtained by accidental sampling techniques. This research instrument is in the form of a google form-based student digital literacy mastery questionnaire, which is given online. The results of the study on each indicator are the Access indicator of 58.1% of students' goals to access the internet to complete assignments, 91.9% using mobile phone media, 40% using subjects as search points, and 67% using complete search keywords to access information from the internet. In the Analyze and Evaluate indicator, 60.5% read and understand the information thoroughly and 48.98% read the information thoroughly and the sources used. In the Create indicator, the new form of information created by students is with 41.9% making research reports, 36.0% using Microsoft Office devices, and 51.2% in the form of writing. The Reflect indicator is the largest percentage of respondents to respect and maintain a code of ethics when accessing information accessed from the internet with a magnitude of 65.1% listing the source of information cited appropriately and 75.6% ensuring the correctness of the information and using as needed. Indiator Act, the actions of college students after accessing and using the internet with 46.5% using information to solve problems and 34.9% to make presentations in public. Based on this description, it can be concluded that students' digital literacy skills have reached the good category

Abstract

Pemahaman Konsep merupakan kemampuan untuk menjelaskan kembali materi dengan bahasa yang sederhana dan mudah dipahami. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pemahaman konsep mahasiswa pendidikan biologi pada materi ekologi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 20 mahasiswa pendidikan biologi yang telah menempuh matakuliah ekologi. Soal pilihan ganda yang disertai dengan alasan digunakan untuk mendeskripsikan pemahaman konsep mahasiswa pendidikan biologi pada materi ekologi. Selain itu, dilakukan wawancara kepada mahasiswa mengenai aspek terkait pemahaman konsep, seperti cara penerimaan materi, pengalaman belajar, serta sumber belajar mahasiswa, sehingga dapat ditemukan penyebab tidak pahamnya konsep oleh mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman konsep mahasiswa pendidikan biologi pada materi ekologi berada dalam kriteria rendah, dengan nilai rata-rata pemahaman konsep sebesar 47.62 dan nilai standar deviasi sebesar 16.00. Rendahnya pemahaman konsep terdapat pada level kognitif C3 (mengaplikasikan), C5 (Mengevaluasi), dan C6 (Membuat). Rekomendasi yang dapat diberikan berdasarkan temuan penelitian ini adalah meningkatkan metode pengajaran dan pembelajaran yang dapat membantu mahasiswa dalam memahami konsep-konsep yang sulit dalam materi ekologi. Selain itu, diperlukan juga pendekatan yang lebih interaktif dan aktif dalam proses pembelajaran, serta penggunaan beragam sumber belajar yang relevan untuk membantu meningkatkan pemahaman konsep mahasiswa. Evaluation Of The Concept Understanding Of Biology Education Students On Ecological Material Understanding of the concept is the ability to explain the material again in a language that is simple and easy to understand. This research is a descriptive research that aims to describe the concept understanding of biology education students on ecology material. The subjects in this study were 20 biology education students who had taken an ecology course. Multiple choice questions accompanied by reasons are used to describe students' understanding of biology education concepts in ecological material. In addition, interviews were conducted with students regarding aspects related to understanding concepts, such as how to receive material, learning experiences, and student learning resources, so that the causes of students' lack of understanding of concepts could be found. The results showed that the concept understanding of biology education students on ecology material was in the low criteria, with an average conceptual understanding score of 47.62 and a standard deviation value of 16.00. The low understanding of the concept is at the cognitive level C3 (applying), C5 (Evaluating), and C6 (Creating). Recommendations that can be given based on the findings of this study are to improve teaching and learning methods that can help students understand difficult concepts in ecology materials. In addition, a more interactive and active approach is needed in the learning process, as well as the use of a variety of relevant learning resources to help improve students' understanding of concepts.

Abstract

This study aims to determine students' critical thinking skills and environmental care attitudes through teaching materials based on local potential. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 2 Labuapi for the 2021/2022 academic year. This type of research is a quasi-experimental with a population of all 111 class X students divided into 5 classes. The sampling technique used by researchers in this study was a purposive sampling technique by taking class X MIPA 1 as the experimental class, and class X MIPA 2 as the control class. Design research with a pre-test post-test control group design. The data collection techniques used were observation techniques, direct communication techniques, documentary study techniques and indirect communication techniques, namely, using essay tests for critical thinking skills and using questionnaires for environmental care attitudes. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis. the results of the study show that there are differences in critical thinking skills and environmental care attitudes between the experimental class that uses teaching materials based on local potential, compared to the control class that uses TCL or conventional learning models. The results of this study were taken from the results of the final ability (post-test) of students from both classes, namely the experimental class, which scored higher than the control class, which indicates that teaching materials based on local potential affect critical thinking skills and environmental care attitudes of SMA Negeri 2 Labuapi students. This can be seen from the value of the t-test results of the critical thinking ability score, namely 9.708 and the t-test of the results of the environmental care attitude value, namely 7.124 and the ttable value is 2.3226. Then tcount > ttable which means that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. it can be concluded that teaching materials based on local potential affect the ability to think critically and care for the environment of students.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop an evaluative-process learning tool integrated with the conceptual-problem-based learning (CPBL) model to train students' critical thinking skills. The learning tools developed (lesson plans, textbooks, worksheets, and critical thinking test instruments) were evaluated for validity and Effectiveness in training students' critical thinking skills at the higher education level. Validity evaluation is carried out on content and construct validity aspects. This is done through a focus group discussion (FGD) mechanism involving four expert validators. Furthermore, the Effectiveness of the developed learning tools is evaluated by implementing them in the classroom. The experimental design (intact-group comparison) involved a sample group from the State Islamic University of Mataram. The experimental group was taught by evaluative-process learning tools integrated with the CPBL model, while lectures and discussions taught the control group. Critical thinking data were collected using a valid essay test instrument, and the results were analyzed. The validity test results show that all the elements that make up the learning tools in the aspect of content and construct validity have been declared valid. Furthermore, at the implementation stage in the classroom, evaluative-process learning tools integrated with the CPBL model have been effective in training students' critical thinking skills compared to teaching that relies on lectures and discussion. This Effectiveness is based on two aspects, (1) the conceptual framework of the CPBL model, which is constructed and arranged from a problem-based learning model with five learning steps, namely prior knowledge, organize, investigate, analyze, and evaluation; (2) the concept of evaluative-process which is integrated with the CPBL model. These two aspects support capacity in training students to think critically.

Abstract

Science education is crucial in developing our understanding of the natural world and enhancing knowledge growth. With rapid advancements in information and communication technology, there is a unique opportunity to transform science education into a more interactive, inclusive, and relevant discipline. However, this evolution prompts philosophical questions, especially concerning axiology—the study of the value and impact of technology on the future of science education. This research explores the axiological aspects of technology integration in science education through a bibliometric analysis, focusing on how technology-based methods can enrich science learning. A comprehensive literature review reveals that technology is crucial in making science education more accessible, motivating students, facilitating the acquisition of new skills, fostering critical thinking, and boosting student engagement. It highlights the value of incorporating technology into educational practices and how it aligns with axiological considerations in science education. The findings emphasize the need for a deeper philosophical understanding of technology's role in science education to ensure its ongoing relevance and effectiveness. Looking forward, the integration of technology in science learning promises to advance our knowledge and suggests a fertile area for future research, emphasizing the exploration of innovative technological tools that can further enhance science education for all students.

Abstract

This study aims to determine biology students' perceptions of self-efficacy in the field of entrepreneurship. This study is an exploratory research with research subjects of 35 biology education students. The research instrument used was a closed questionnaire with graded answers according to a Likert scale that had been validated by experts and declared valid. The research data analysis used was descriptive statistics and inferential statistics with the Anova test at a significance level of 5%. The results of the study show that (1) students' perceptions of self-efficacy in the field of entrepreneurship have an average student answer score for semester IV of 3,09 in the Good category, semester VI of 3,12 in the Good category, and semester VIII of 3,15 in the Good category. Good category; (2) there is no significant difference in the perception of biology students in semesters IV, VI, VIII regarding self-efficacy in the field of entrepreneurship as evidenced by a significance value of 0,959 which is greater than the alpha test value of 0,05 (0,05).
