Abstract

This study aims to determine biology students' perceptions of self-efficacy in the field of entrepreneurship. This study is an exploratory research with research subjects of 35 biology education students. The research instrument used was a closed questionnaire with graded answers according to a Likert scale that had been validated by experts and declared valid. The research data analysis used was descriptive statistics and inferential statistics with the Anova test at a significance level of 5%. The results of the study show that (1) students' perceptions of self-efficacy in the field of entrepreneurship have an average student answer score for semester IV of 3,09 in the Good category, semester VI of 3,12 in the Good category, and semester VIII of 3,15 in the Good category. Good category; (2) there is no significant difference in the perception of biology students in semesters IV, VI, VIII regarding self-efficacy in the field of entrepreneurship as evidenced by a significance value of 0,959 which is greater than the alpha test value of 0,05 (0,05).

Abstract

[Title: The Conceptual Profile of Prospective Biology Teacher FPMIPA IKIP Mataram]. The conceptual profile is a tool for analyzing the style or process of thinking, so the profile of understanding concepts is very important to study as a basis for designing and improving the quality of learning. This research is a descriptive study that aims to identify and explain the conceptual profile of prospective biology teacher FPMIPA IKIP Mataram. The subjects in this study included all biology students who regularly program evolutionary courses. The open-ended question is designed to collect conceptual profile data on the evolutionary biology students from FPMIPA IKIP Mataram. Identification or determination of conceptual profile is based on student responses or answers. Based on the results of the research and the limitations of the discussion, it is recommended that the development of textbooks that are free of misconception as a learning resource for valid biology prospective teacher, then lecturers as instructors, continue to study and teach about attitude, namely scientific attitudes, or thinking dispositions, and/or integrating attitudes in the lecture process. Besides that, in the lecture or learning process, the lecturer must facilitate or empower the style or process of thinking of students with various learning methods or strategies that emphasize thinking processes, including formal reasoning, and analogical teaching strategy.

Abstract

[Title: Improving Student Cognitive Learning Outcomes using Cooperative Learning Model Type Group Investigation]. The purpose of this study was to improve student cognitive learning outcomes using the Cooperative Learning Model Type Group Investigation in class X MIA 2 students of SMAS NW Mataram in the 2018/2019 academic year. The subjects of this study were 15 students of class X MIA 2. This research is a classroom action research (CAR) consisting of two cycles. Observation sheet of learning implementation is used for each meeting to find out the implementation of learning steps according to the learning implementation plan observed by 2 observers. Test instruments of 20 multiple choice questions and 5 description questions were used in this study to find out the improvement of students' cognitive learning outcomes in each cycle. The results showed the implementation of learning in the cycle I (1) the first meeting reached 63.63% with a good category and the second meeting reached 88.8% with a very good category, (2) the cognitive learning outcomes of students in cycle 1 obtained an average value 59 with the classical completeness value achieved 46% of the incomplete category, while in cycle II (3) the first meeting of the implementation of learning reached 72.72% with a good category (4) the second meeting reached 94.44% with a very good category, and for results cognitive learning students obtained an average value of 72 with a classical completeness value achieved 76%. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the Cooperative Learning Model Type Group Investigation can improve cognitive learning outcomes of class X MIA 2 students of SMAS NW Mataram in the 2018/2019 academic year.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan keterampilan sosial dan hasil belajar siswa setelah pembelajaran menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe (STAD). Posttest control group design digunakan dalam penelitian eksperimen semu ini. Sampel penelitian ini adalah kelas VII A (kelompok eksperimen) dan kelas B (kelompok control) yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar observasi keterlaksanaan RPP, lembar observasi keterampilan sosial, tes hasil belajar kognitif siswa dan lembar validasi soal. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis secara deskriptif dan statistic menggunakan uji-t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan keterampilan sosial kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok control berkategori baik. Hasil uji statistic menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara kelompok eksperimen dengan kelompok control (thitung= 1,53 < ttabel= 1,93) meskipun secara deskriptif skor rata-rata hasil belajar kelompok eksperimen lebih baik dari kelompok control (mean= 63,75 vs. mean= 50,52). Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa tidak ada pengaruh signifikan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD terhadap keterampilan sosial dan hasil belajar kognitif siswa. The Effect of the STAD Type Cooperative Learning Model on Students' Social Skills and Cognitive Learning Outcomes Abstract The purpose of this study was to describe social skills and student learning outcomes after learning using the STAD type cooperative learning model. Posttest control group design was used in this quasi-experimental research. The samples of this study were class VII A (experimental group) and class B (control group) which were selected using purposive sampling technique. The instruments used in this study were the lesson plan implementation observation sheet, social skills observation sheet, student cognitive learning outcomes test and question validation sheets. The research data were analyzed descriptively and statistically using t-test. The results showed that the social skills of the experimental group and the control group were categorized as good. The results of the statistical test showed that there was no significant difference between the experimental group and the control group (tcount= 1.53 < ttable= 1.93) although descriptively the average score of the experimental group's learning outcomes was better than the control group (mean= 63.75 vs. mean = 50.52). This study concludes that there is no significant effect of the STAD type cooperative learning model on social skills and students' cognitive learning outcomes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kesulitan yang dihadapi oleh guru IPA dalam menyusun Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP) Kurikulum 2013 di SMP Kecamatan Kediri Kabupaten Lombok Barat, serta mendeskripsikan solusi yang diberikan oleh guru IPA untuk mengatasi kesulitan tersebut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Sebanyak 10 guru IPA dari 6 sekolah SMP di Kecamatan Kediri Lombok Barat menjadi partisipan penelitian ini dan diwawancarai menggunakan angket untuk memperoleh gambaran kesulitan yang dialami oleh mereka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru IPA menghadapi kesulitan dalam berbagai komponen RPP Kurikulum 2013, seperti judul (30%), alokasi waktu (60%), kompetensi inti (35%), kompetensi dasar dan indikator (35%), tujuan pembelajaran (40%), materi pembelajaran (10%), model pembelajaran (26,7%), media dan sumber pembelajaran (15%), kegiatan pembelajaran (30%), dan instrumen penilaian (24%). Guru IPA menyarankan beberapa solusi untuk mengatasi kesulitan ini, antara lain bergabung dalam Kelompok Kerja Guru (KKG), mengikuti Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran (MGMP), dan mengikuti pertemuan workshop penyusunan RPP, dengan penyesuaian yang sesuai dengan kondisi sekolah masing-masing. Profile of Difficulties of Science Teachers in Preparation of 2013 Curriculum Learning Implementation Plans (RPP) Abstract This research aims to identify the difficulties faced by science teachers in developing Lesson Implementation Plans (RPP) based on the 2013 Curriculum in junior high schools in the Kediri District of West Lombok Regency. It also describes the solutions proposed by the science teachers to overcome these difficulties. The research methodology employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. A total of 10 science teachers from 6 junior high schools in the Kediri District of West Lombok Regency participated in this study and were interviewed using a questionnaire to obtain an overview of the difficulties they encountered. The research findings indicate that science teachers face difficulties in various components of the RPP based on the 2013 Curriculum, including the title (30%), time allocation (60%), core competencies (35%), basic competencies and indicators (35%), learning objectives (40%), teaching materials (10%), teaching models (26.7%), learning media and resources (15%), learning activities (30%), and assessment instruments (24%). The science teachers suggested several solutions to address these difficulties, such as joining Teacher Working Groups (KKG), participating in Subject Teacher Meetings (MGMP), and attending workshops on RPP development, with adjustments according to the respective school's conditions.

Abstract

Jamur merang merupakan tumbuhan yang tidak memiliki klorofil. Tidak adanya klorofil menyebabkan jamur tidak dapat memproduksi makanannya sendiri. Kondisi ini menyebabkan jamur sangat bergantung pada media tumbuhnya sehingga baik tidaknya pertumbuhan jamur merang tergantung nutrisi yang terkandung pada media tanamnya. Selain media tanam tumbuh kembang jamur merang sangat dipengaruhi oleh lingkungan dan kontaminan yang dapat berasal dari media tanam atau lingkungan tumbuh kembang jamur merang. Begitu banyak kompetensi yang harus dimiliki oleh petani jamur merang untuk menjaga produksi tetap stabil. Literasi tentang tumbuh kembang jamur menjadi sangat penting dikuasai petani untuk menjaga produksi tetap stabil. Pelatihan tenologi budidaya jamur merang ini dilaksanakan di kumbung jamur merang Dusun Repok Tunjang Desa Taman Indah Kecamatan Pringgarata. Metode pelaaklanaan yang digunakan adalah gelar teknologi. Proses kegiatan selanjutnya dievaluasi menggunakan pertanyaan langsung yang diberikan kepada petani jamur merang dan perbandingan produksi sebelum pelatihan dan setelah pelatihan. Hasil wawancara dengan petani jamur menunjukkan adanya beberapa hal yang mendasar yang belum dikuasai oleh petani jamur. Hal mendasar tersebut seperti teknik pengomposan dan sterilisasi. Petani jamur merang belum bisa membedakan secara fisik kondisi kompos media tanam yang sudah matang dan belum. Lama pengomposan tergantung kondisi bahan-bahan yang dikomposkan. Jerami yang masih baru atau baru diangkut dari sawah memerlukan waktu 2-3 hari lebih lama dalam proses pengomposan. Kompos yang belum matang menyebabkan jamur tidak dapat tumbuh optimal. Literasi petani tentang kondisi bahan yang digunakan penting untuk dikuasai. Pelatihan ini cukup efektik dalam meningkatkan literasi petani terbukti dari produksi jamur yang meningkat 20% lebih tinggi jika dibandingkan produksi jamur sebelumnya.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan tanaman obat keluarga (TOGA) di lingkungan pekarangan kantor desa menjadi strategi terencana untuk menggabungkan pengetahuan lokal dengan upaya meningkatkan literasi masyarakat tentang tanaman obat di Desa Bengkaung, Kecamatan Batu Layar. penanaman TOGA tidak hanya berkontribusi pada keberlanjutan lingkungan, tetapi juga memberdayakan masyarakat dalam upaya preventif dan promosi kesehatan yang berkelanjutan. Desa Bengkaung, sebagai daerah kaya sumber daya alam dengan warisan tradisional penggunaan tanaman obat, menunjukkan potensi pendekatan partisipatif efektif dalam meningkatkan kesehatan masyarakat. Dampak negatif yang ditimbulkan oleh penggunaan obat kimia menjadi dasar masyrakat mulai beralih keobat herbal. Budidaya tanaman obat penting keluarga penting untuk dilakukan untuk menjadi benteng pertahanan masyrakat ditengah meningkatnya penyakit yang menyerang imun tubuh. Program kemitraan masyrakat ini dilaksnakan dengan teknik PRA (Participatori Rural Appraisal) dimana dalam pelaksanaannya melibatkan masyarakat sekitar dalam seluruh kegiatan dan stakeholder setempat. Penggunaan teknik ini bertujuan agar masyarakat dapat saling berbagi dan meningkatkan pengetahaun mereka tentang kondisi dan kehidupan masyarakat, membuat rencana dan bertindak. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi kegiatan setelah penaman selama 1 bulan tanaman obat tumbuh dengan baik. Bukti ini menunjukkan proses pengomposan dan metedo penanaman berjalan sesuai dengan harapan. Literasi masyrakat tentang obat juga meningkat ini tercermin dari rasa ingin tahu dan variasi tanaman obat yang terus bertambah ditaman obat Desa bengkaung. Community Partnership Program: Training on Cultivating Family Medicinal Plants for the Residents of Bengkaung Village Abstract The utilization of family medicinal plants (TOGA) in the village office yard is a planned strategy to combine local knowledge with efforts to enhance community literacy about medicinal plants in Bengkaung Village, Batu Layar District. The cultivation of TOGA not only contributes to environmental sustainability but also empowers the community in sustainable preventive and health promotion efforts. Bengkaung Village, rich in natural resources with a traditional heritage of medicinal plant use, demonstrates the potential of an effective participatory approach to improving public health. The negative impacts of chemical medicines have prompted the community to shift towards herbal remedies. Cultivating essential family medicinal plants is crucial to fortify the community amidst the rise of diseases that compromise immune health. This community partnership program is implemented using the PRA (Participatory Rural Appraisal) technique, involving the local community and stakeholders in all activities. The use of this technique aims to facilitate knowledge sharing among community members about their conditions and lifestyles, enabling them to plan and take action. Based on the activity evaluation results, one month after planting, the medicinal plants have grown well. This evidence indicates that the composting process and planting methods met expectations. Community literacy about medicinal plants has also increased, as reflected in the growing curiosity and variety of medicinal plants in Bengkaung Village's medicinal garden.

Abstract

This study delves into the design thinking characteristics among students in the field of information technology innovation, examining their competencies within the context of the Information Technology Education program at Mandalika University of Education - Indonesia. Employing an exploratory descriptive research design, the research focuses on 30 students, utilizing the Design Thinking Scale to assess six crucial dimensions: comfort with uncertainty and risks, human-centeredness, mindfulness of the process and impacts on others, collaborative work with diversity, orientation to learning by making and testing, and confidence and optimism to use creativity. The findings reveal a comprehensive understanding of the nuanced aspects of students' design thinking capabilities, indicating areas for improvement. Notably, students exhibit discomfort with uncertainty and risks, signaling a need for interventions to enhance resilience and adaptability. Human-centeredness, collaborative work with diversity, and mindfulness to the process receive "Poor" and "Fair" ratings, emphasizing the importance of fostering user-centric approaches and enhancing collaborative competencies. While students demonstrate a moderate level of competency in practical learning and creative application, there is room for improvement in orientation to learning by making and testing and confidence and optimism to use creativity. The overall "Poor" rating for the average design thinking score suggests a collective need for targeted interventions and educational strategies. This study contributes to the ongoing discourse on design thinking in IT education. It offers insights that can inform tailored pedagogical approaches and interventions to enhance students' design thinking capabilities in preparation for the dynamic challenges of the evolving information technology landscape.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan LKS berbasis model pembelajaran POE (Predict Observe Explain) yang valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif pada materi Kingdom Animalia. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan menggunakan model 4D. Validasi produk pengembangan melibatkan dua validator, sedangkan kepraktisan ditinjau dari keterlaksanaan pembelajaran yang diamati oleh dua observer dan hasil analisis respon siswa. Keefektifan ditinjau dari hasil belajar kognitif siswa setelah pembelajaran menggunakan LKS berbasis model pembelajaran POE. Penelitian ini melibatkan 20 siswa kelas X SMAN 1 Pringgarata. Instrumen penelitian berupa lembar validasi, observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, tes hasil belajar kognitif, dan angket respon siswa. Data penelitian dianalisis secara deskriptif menggunakan persamaan n-gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa LKS biologi berbasis model pembelajaran POE yang dikembangkan valid (skor: 3,457) baik secara isi maupun konstruk. Keterlaksanaan pembelajaran mengalami peningkatan dengan skor rata-rata yaitu 89,7% dan respon siswa ditemukan berkategori sangat kuat (persentase: 88,65%). Sedangkan hasil belajar kognitif meningkat (N-Gain=0,68) dengan kategori sedang, setelah pembelajaran menggunakan LKS berbasis model pembelajaran POE. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa LKS berbasis POE (Predict Observe Explain) yang dikembangkan valid, praktis, dan efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif siswa kelas X SMAN 1 Pringgarata pada materi Kingdom Animalia. Development of POE-based Student Worksheets to Enhance Students’ Cognitive Learning Outcomes on the Kingdom Animalia Subject Material Abstract The aim of this research was to develop valid, practical, and effective POE (Predict Observe Explain) model-based Student Worksheets (LKS) to enhance cognitive learning outcomes in the subject of Kingdom Animalia. This study utilized 4D development model. The validation of the development product involved two validators, while the practicality was assessed through the implementation of the learning process observed by two observers, along with an analysis of student responses. The effectiveness was measured by comparing the cognitive learning outcomes of students before and after using the POE model-based LKS. The study was conducted with 20 tenth-grade students from SMAN 1 Pringgarata. Research instruments included validation sheets, observations of the learning process, cognitive learning outcome tests, and student response questionnaires. The collected data were analyzed descriptively using the n-gain formula. The results indicated that the biology worksheets based on the POE model were valid (score: 3.457), both in terms of content and construct. The implementation of the learning process showed improvement, with an average score of 89.7%, and student responses were categorized as very strong (percentage: 88.65%). Moreover, the cognitive learning outcomes showed a moderate improvement (N-Gain=0.68) after using the POE model-based LKS. In conclusion, the POE model-based LKS developed in this research is valid, practical, and effective in enhancing the cognitive learning outcomes of tenth-grade students at SMAN 1 Pringgarata in the subject of Kingdom Animalia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains dan hasil belajar kognitif di kalangan siswa kelas VII SMPN 1 Alas melalui penerapan pembelajaran kontekstual berbasis praktikum. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilakukan dalam dua siklus, masing-masing terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah 36 siswa, dengan data dikumpulkan melalui lembar observasi dan tes kognitif. Pada Siklus I, nilai tertinggi yang dicapai adalah 90, nilai terendah 68, dengan nilai rata-rata 82. Jumlah siswa yang mencapai kriteria ketuntasan belajar adalah 27 (75% ketuntasan klasikal), yang dikategorikan sebagai tidak tuntas. Pada Siklus II, nilai tertinggi meningkat menjadi 95, nilai terendah menjadi 80, dengan nilai rata-rata 89. Jumlah siswa yang mencapai kriteria meningkat menjadi 33 (91,6% ketuntasan klasikal), yang dikategorikan sebagai tuntas. Selain itu, skor keterampilan proses sains meningkat dari 68% (Siklus I) menjadi 87% (Siklus II). Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran kontekstual berbasis praktikum secara signifikan meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains dan hasil belajar kognitif siswa. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa mengintegrasikan pendekatan praktikum dalam pembelajaran kontekstual secara efektif meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif dan kinerja siswa. Improving Science Process Skills and Cognitive Learning Outcomes Through Contextual Learning Based on Practical Activities in Junior High School Abstract This study aims to enhance science process skills and cognitive learning outcomes among seventh-grade students at SMPN 1 Alas through the implementation of contextual learning based on practical activities. The research employs a Classroom Action Research (CAR) methodology, conducted over two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The study involves 36 students, with data collected through observation sheets and cognitive tests. In Cycle I, the highest score achieved was 90, the lowest was 68, with an average score of 82. The number of students who met the learning criteria was 27 (75% classical completeness), which was categorized as incomplete. In Cycle II, the highest score increased to 95, the lowest to 80, with an average score of 89. The number of students meeting the criteria increased to 33 (91.6% classical completeness), categorized as complete. Additionally, the science process skills scores improved from 68% (Cycle I) to 87% (Cycle II). These results indicate that contextual learning based on practical activities significantly improves both science process skills and cognitive learning outcomes. The study concludes that integrating practical, contextual approaches in science education effectively enhances students' understanding and performance.
