Abstract

This Community Service Activity (PKM) aims to increase community participation in environmental conservation through collaboration between students and residents in a tree planting program in Tonrokassi Village, Tamalatea District, Jeneponto Regency. The problems faced include a reduction in green open spaces, land use change, and low public awareness of the importance of reforestation. The activity was carried out in several stages: socialization, planting technique training, planting implementation, formation of environmental monitoring groups, as well as evaluation and monitoring. A total of ±50 mango, mahogany, ketapang, and trembesi tree seedlings were successfully planted with the involvement of students, village officials, youth organizations, and local residents. The results of the activity showed an increase in community knowledge and skills in planting and caring for trees, accompanied by a growing collective awareness to preserve the environment. The level of community participation reached ±85%, exceeding the initial target of 70%. The involvement of students proved effective in mobilizing community participation through an educational and participatory approach. This program had an ecological impact in the form of environmental greening and a social impact in the form of increased community responsibility for nature conservation. In the future, similar activities are expected to be expanded with an increase in the number of seedlings and strengthened cross-party collaboration.

Abstract

In today’s era, we are very familiar with operating systems that function to manage the work of hardware and software so they can be used properly. One of the most widely used operating systems is Windows, because it has an easy-to-understand interface and is capable of running multiple applications simultaneously. To support this, Windows requires a process management mechanism, namely a way for the system to organize running programs so they do not interfere with each other and remain stable. In process management, there is an important component called the Process Control Block (PCB). The PCB can be likened to an identity card or a complete record of a process, as it contains information such as the process ID, status, CPU usage, memory, and files being used. This study aims to analyze the role of the process control block, focusing on how the Process Control Block stores important information regarding the status and activity of each process, ensuring smooth, efficient, and non-conflicting application execution. In this research, experiments were conducted to measure CPU usage, memory, and execution time by various processes with different priorities to observe the information of running processes. The analysis results show that each application has its own Process ID and PCB, which records status, CPU registers, memory allocation, and I/O resources used. The PCB enables multiple applications to perform multitasking effectively.

Abstract

This article aims to explain commendable attitudes and actions or good behavior referred to in law as a condition for modifying the death penalty and aims to understand the concept of commendable attitudes and actions from the perspective of Islamic criminal law. The problem focuses on the commendable attitudes and actions referred to in Article 100 of Law Number 1 of 2023 concerning the Criminal Code. This is ambiguous because the indicators and benchmarks for the commendable attitudes and actions in question have not been clearly regulated so they are very subjective. The writing method uses a normative approach and data collection techniques use library research. This research is descriptive and aims at problem-solution. The results of the research show that the concept of commendable attitudes and actions in Islamic Criminal Law towards death row inmates for the crime of premeditated murder has several indicators, namely: 1. Feeling of regret; 2. Responsible for his actions; 3. There is a desire to repent; 4. Get forgiveness from the victim's family. The achievement of this commendable attitude and action is to obtain forgiveness from the victim and pay compensation to the victim's family. The concepts exemplified by Islamic criminal law should be adapted into positive criminal law to explain the meaning of commendable attitudes and actions in order to achieve justice, certainty and usefulness of the law.

Abstract

Religious freedom has been the subject of sustained debate among religious leaders throughout the history of human civilization. This has prompted various religious figures to develop and construct the concept with the aim of facilitating harmonious relations between religious communities. One of the figures who tried to elaborate on this concept was the prominent Muslim scholar, Tāhir Ibn Āshūr. This study examines the concept of religious freedom from Ibn Āshūr's perspective using a literature review or library study method. This article presents descriptive data, illustrating scholarly research with the potential to be further developed and applied in practice. The research approach used was descriptive qualitative, which aims to gather comprehensive information on the research topic. Data were collected through the systematic collation and categorization of online resources and related literature. The research found that Ibn Āshūr believed that religious freedom involves the inherent right of every individual to choose, believe, and practice their religion. Although convinced that Islam is the only true religion, he also showed respect for the beliefs and religions of others, demonstrating tolerance and recognition of the diversity of human beliefs. This article outlines three main aspects of Ibn Āshūr's views on religious freedom: the existence of restrictions on religious freedom, grounds in favor of religious conversion, and prohibition against free change of religion. This thorough analysis provides important insights into Ibn `Āshūr's views on religious freedom, and offers valuable implications for future research and practical applications.

Abstract

In the Indonesian Dictionary (KBBI), pirates have the meaning of pirates. Pirates or in other words, ship hijacking is a form of maritime crime. It is very familiar to us to know the piracy of the high seas carried out by foreign and domestic ships. The crime of piracy is a serious threat to international security. The crime of piracy at sea is an act of violence carried out for personal gain by the crew or passengers of a ship and directed on the high seas against another ship in a place outside the jurisdiction of any country. This article aims to analyze the jurisdiction of a country to reduce the number of maritime piracy crimes in Indonesia. This research uses doctrinal research. Doctrinal legal research is research on law that is conceptualized and developed on the basis of the doctrine adopted by the drafter and/or developer. Sources of legal information use primary legal materials (relevant regulations and documents) for further qualitative analysis. The approach used is legislation, conceptual, and analysis in helping to solve the problem formulation. To try the perpetrators of the crime of piracy, international law has handed over its authority to all countries, namely the application of the principle of universal jurisdiction.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui prestasi belajar terhadap mata pelajaran Al-Qur’an Hadits yang asrama dan luar asrama di MTs Mu’allimin NW Anjani, Untuk mengetahui perbandingan prestasi belajar terhadap mata pelajaran Al-Qur’an Hadits yang asrama dan luar asrama di MTs Mu’allimin NW Anjani. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah motode kuantitatif dan jenis penelitiannya yaitu penelitian komparatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa MTs Mu’allimin NW Anjani sedangkan pengambilan sampel penelitian ini di lakukan secara random sampling. Jadi, sampel penelitian ini sebanyak 40 siswa yang terdiri dari 20 siswa asrama dan 20 siswa Luar asrama.Teknik pengumpulan data dengan mengunakan observasi, dokumentasi dan tes.Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah statistik parametris. Statistik parametris ini teknik analisis komprasional Uji Beda (t-Test) sampel bebas (Independent T-Test). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui prestasi belajar terhadap pendidikan agama Islam yang asrama dan luar asrama di MTs Mu’allimin NW Anjani. Prestasi belajar siswa asrama mencapai nilai rata-rata 85,25 dan siswa luar asrama 84,2 sedangkan berdasarkan angket siswa asrama mendapatkan skor 75,8 dan siswa luar asrama 73. Adapun berdasarkan analisis data dan perhitungan, diperoleh pengujian hipotesis pada analisis data di dapat Ha diterima dan HO ditolak, yaitu ternyata thitung sebesar 8,75 dan dibandingkan dengan α=0,01ttabel (2,382) maka t hitung (8,75) > t tabel (2,382).Dengan demikian terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan prestasi belajar siswa asrama dan luar asrama pada mata pelajaran Al-Qur’an Hadits berdasarkan nilai rapor. Analisis dari hasil perbandingan ternyata siswa asrama lebih tinggi nilai rata-rata berdasarkan rapor dan skor dari hasil tes pilihan ganda sedangkan hasil dari hipotesis Ha diterima dan HO ditolak.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to see how communication affects the political participation of rural communities. This research uses a systematic literature review method using 219 scholarly articles from the Scopus database. The review of the articles was conducted using the Vosviewer application. The results revealed that there are 5 thematic clusters in the study of political communication participation, including the green cluster, yellow cluster, purple cluster, red cluster, and blue cluster. Where each cluster has a strong relationship between clusters. The politics of local leaders affect all aspects of community life in the area. Good leaders are developed through a long process and do not appear by chance. The ability to get others to do what the leader wants is known as leadership.  Communication in the community is considered to work well in the process of political participation in the community, despite the poorly understood and inadequate form of information distribution. The process of political participation in the election of leaders and other political bodies runs smoothly with the support of available communication media. Villagers are invited to participate in decision-making because they better understand what is needed for the welfare of the village. The results of this research help people's political participation in various ways and provide information to people who need it. The research process was limited because the articles used were only from the Scopus database, so the research results could not cover the issue of government communication in increasing the participation of rural communities as a whole.  Future research should use scientific article sources from recognized international databases such as Web of Science and Dimensions Scholars, so this research itself has weaknesses that need to be improved for future research.

Abstract

Tradisi tahlilan merupakan salah satu praktik budaya keagamaan yang sangat erat kaitannya dengan kehidupan masyarakat Banjar di Indonesia. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji tradisi tahlilan dari perspektif budaya, sosial, dan keagamaan yang berkembang di kalangan masyarakat Banjar. Tradisi ini biasanya dilaksanakan sebagai bentuk doa bersama untuk mendoakan orang yang telah meninggal, terutama pada malam-malam tertentu seperti hari ke-3, ke-7, ke-40, hingga hari ke-100 setelah wafatnya seseorang. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tahlilan tidak hanya menjadi sarana spiritual, tetapi juga berfungsi sebagai media penguatan solidaritas sosial dan identitas budaya. Meskipun tradisi ini mendapat kritik dari sebagian kelompok Islam yang memandangnya sebagai bid'ah, masyarakat Banjar mempertahankannya sebagai warisan leluhur yang sarat makna religius dan nilai-nilai kebersamaan. Dengan demikian, tradisi tahlilan mencerminkan bagaimana masyarakat Banjar mengharmonisasikan ajaran Islam dengan kearifan lokal dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.

Abstract

Perkembangan hukum dagang di era globalisasi menunjukkan dinamika yang signifikan seiring dengan meningkatnya aktivitas perdagangan lintas negara, kemajuan teknologi, dan integrasi ekonomi dunia. Globalisasi mendorong terjadinya transformasi dalam sistem hukum nasional, khususnya dalam bidang hukum dagang yang berimplikasi langsung terhadap hukum perdata. Perubahan ini mencakup penyesuaian regulasi terkait kontrak dagang internasional, perlindungan konsumen, hak kekayaan intelektual, serta transaksi elektronik yang menuntut adanya harmonisasi antara hukum nasional dan hukum internasional. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perkembangan hukum dagang di tengah globalisasi serta dampaknya terhadap pembentukan, penegakan, dan interpretasi hukum perdata di Indonesia. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi kepustakaan dengan pendekatan normatif yuridis. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa globalisasi tidak hanya memperluas ruang lingkup hukum dagang tetapi juga menuntut pembaruan terhadap asas-asas hukum perdata agar tetap relevan dengan kebutuhan ekonomi modern dan standar hukum internasional.

Abstract

This study analyzes the communication strategy of the Tesso Nilo National Park Agency (TNTN) in conserving forests threatened by encroachment, illegal logging, and human wildlife conflict. Using a descriptive qualitative method with interviews, observations, and documentation in Lubuk Kembang Bunga Village, the study examines planning, implementation, and evaluation stages. The strategy emphasizes community empowerment by involving local communities, traditional leaders, farmer groups, and women’s groups. Findings show that communication planning focused on persuasive messages, implementation included socialization, training on non-timber forest products, business mentoring, and community-based ecotourism, while evaluation was conducted through monitoring and stakeholder coordination. Overall, the strategy improved participation, reduced illegal practices, and raised collective awareness, although decision-making remains dominated by TNTN. The study concludes that effective forest conservation requires participatory communication and multi-stakeholder collaboration.
