Abstract

Abstract

The provision of Self-service Check -in facilities at Terminal 1A is expected to improve operational smoothness, especially to automate the Check -in process using technology so that it can be more effective and efficient. This study was conducted to highlight the adoption of the use of Self-service Check -in facilities, using qualitative descriptive methods and analysis using the Delphi method. The purpose of the study is in line with the formulation of the problem and research questions, with the conclusion that Self-service Check -in facilities can improve service quality because they can be used easily, practically and save time in the Check -in process. Data were obtained through direct observation, interviews, documentation, and literature studies. The findings show that Self-Check -in facilities can also reduce the burden on officers and queues in carrying out the Check -in process at manual counters, but these facilities are not optimal because there are still network constraints or paper that does not come out to print boarding passes, and has not been integrated with Self-baggage drop. Several efforts have been made to overcome these obstacles, such as conducting periodic maintenance on Self-service Check -in machines, providing usage information through social media, and making efforts so that Self-service Check -in can be integrated with Self-baggage drop so that it can facilitate passengers in carrying out the Check -in process along with handling passenger baggage.

Abstract

The Iran-Israel conflict is one of the most complex and potentially destabilizing geopolitical disputes in the Middle East, rooted in macro-injustice, humanitarianism, power struggles, religious ideologies, and deep historical mistrust. This scientific article seeks to analyze the dynamics of this conflict through the perspectives of Western and Islamic social theories. This research examines how Western theoretical frameworks, as well as Islamic concepts and paradigms and values, provide different understandings of the root causes of war conflicts. The analysis shows that while Western theories often emphasize power calculations, state security, the structure of the international system, and identity, Islamic social theories place a strong emphasis on religious identity, balanced power, theological perspectives on justice, and humanity.

Abstract

This study examines the role of the Kantor Urusan Agama (KUA) in controlling and supervising the halal status of products at the local level, using KUA Mendahara (Mendahara Ilir subdistrict) as a case study. Motivated by persistent implementation challenges in Indonesia’s Halal Product Assurance system, the research aims to clarify how KUA contributes to ensuring that halal certification follows regulatory requirements and how it monitors certified products in practice. Employing a qualitative case-study design, data were collected through in-depth interviews, direct field observation, and document analysis, and were analyzed thematically. Findings reveal four principal functions performed by KUA: disseminating information and conducting outreach on halal certification; providing technical guidance and administrative assistance to MSMEs during the certification process; coordinating cross-institutional activities with BPJPH, MUI, and local health authorities; and carrying out post-certification monitoring through field visits and administrative checks. The study demonstrates that KUA operates as a critical institutional intermediary between national policy and local practice. Theoretically, the research extends institutional perspectives to religious local institutions in halal governance; practically, it offers evidence-based recommendations to strengthen KUA capacity and interagency collaboration to improve the effectiveness and sustainability of Indonesia’s halal assurance system.

Abstract

Student mental health has become a critical concern in educational systems worldwide, as rising academic pressure places students at heightened risk of stress, anxiety, and emotional fatigue. In Muslim-majority contexts, Islamic education offers a holistic framework integrating moral, spiritual, and social development; however, field-based evidence on its role in mental health promotion remains limited. This study examines how Islamic educational practices function as promotive mechanisms for student mental health and identifies contextual factors shaping their implementation. A qualitative field study was conducted in Islamic schools and pesantren in Bogor, West Java, Indonesia. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, focus group discussions, non-participant observations, and document analysis with teachers, school leaders, and students selected through purposive sampling. Thematic analysis was employed to identify recurring patterns across the data. Findings indicate that religious routines, character education (akhlaq), and supportive teacher–student relationships serve as culturally embedded mechanisms promoting emotional regulation, meaning-making, and social connectedness. However, mental health promotion remains largely informal, constrained by limited mental health literacy, absent institutional policies, and insufficient professional support. This study highlights the need for culturally responsive, institutionally supported mental health strategies in faith-based education.
